    Summary: TAMYZ (5) only win to date came over track/trip and he could remain unbeaten here. He is in the right form at present and will go very close. AL AMEED (1) has been a model of consistency and appears to be ready to notch up another victory. WEMATCH (7) hasn’t been too far off the action in recent outings and is likely to be involved at the finish here. BAD ROMANCE (2) is best forgiven for her latest effort and on prior form, she will have many supporters.

    Summary: HARVEY (5) is a clear stand out on form. He makes his belated three year debut and if ready to go after that long break, he is likely to be a tough nut to crack. He drops in class and could be a 3yo to watch for the back end of the season. LE SID (1) produced a solid effort last time out and was a bit stiff not to get over the line so does appear to be the one and only threat. CLASSIC SOVEREIGN (4) ran with plenty of credit on debut and will have more to offer here.

    Summary: CHARMING CAT (1) arrives in pleasing form and has proven himself over these sprinting trips. He gets weight off the back which makes him very well treated here and could be hard to beat with a clean run through. BEST SISTER (5) has improved from one run to the next and despite dropping in trip, she can earn. REMENBER CHOPE (6) has a light galloping weight and shouldn’t be too far off them at the finish. BALTA (3) is best off the rest and can shape up more encouragingly here.

    Summary: L’IENISSEI (2) produced a good finish last time out to show a return to form and with a repeat performance, he should be in the thick of things as he looks to add another win to his cv. FOR WIN (10) has had a number of chances to get his head in front but remains a maiden. On the back of his latest run, many will believe this could be his day. BRAVEHEART (11) wasn’t far behind FOR WIN and should be involved here. MAFALDA STORY (6) finds herself 2kgs worse off at the weights with the aforementioned pair and that form could be reversed but she can earn.

    Summary: MEHMIST (8) has taken on much stronger when competing in a Listed and Group III contests in his last few runs. He steps into a division where he can be more competitive and is the tentative top picking. BIN ZARAK (5) did run a good race finishing third on artificial surfaces last time out and returning to French soil will see him finishing closer in the shakeup. DREAM OP FAL (1) was a bold winner over the course and distance and has every chance of following up. BEAU GARS (40 holds a strong place chance.

    Summary: GUALDA (1) was not disgraced when finishing fifth against Class 2 company last time out. She steps back into a division that she is more comfortable with and will certainly make her presence strongly felt. CIOTOLA (6) finished a game second last time in a Class 4 but has the ability to make amends and go one more in this sort of field. FOU FURIEUX (2) and PERTUSATO (3) ran behind each other in their last outing and are firmly selected to fill in the third and fourth place positioning.

LAMENTO (4) ran a smart second last time out and poses to be a lurker of the pack. He must be given solid acknowledgment. GOWAY (3) wraps up the mix.

    Summary: CHALDERO (10) was a firm winner in his last event and his form shows he is capable of winning again. He looks a hard horse to beat. WESTMINISTER NIGHT (6) can be forgiven for the below par run last time out but his penultimate start when finishing second proves he is worthy of solid shout and holds a strong podium position. JOSEPHINO (9) is always there and thereabout and deserves consideration on his honest form. RAKAN (5) must be included in all betting calculations. EVERSTAR (14) heads the rest and will be in the shakeup.

  2. KOULEUR CAFE – Unplaced last time, 4th before that over 3400m at Craon on December 1st in a Class 3 hurdle. Might find a few of these too smart
  3. LELLA DESJY – Two unplaced efforts since a win at Corlay over 3100m in a Class 4 race on June 28th. She failed to inspire on her previous run over hurdles and is best watched
  4. BELLE GOSSE – Won well by 6L on her sole start over 3400m at Angouleme on April 14th, 2024, in a Class 4 hurdle. Hard to overlook with fitness taken on trust
  5. LA VILLA D’ESTE – Recent 4th at Dieppe over 3500m in a Class 3 chase on July 12th. She can be effective back over hurdles today
  6. CHADOC – Unraced filly by Nirvana Du Berlais, the dam won 5 races over jumps. Likely to be well-tuned for this opening run. Merits consideration
  7. PRECIOUS STAR – Unplaced last time, 3rd before that over 3700m at Cholet on June 30th in a Class 3 hurdle. Looks vulnerable
  8. HO MILADY – 5th on her last start over 3900m at Saint-Malo on August 1st in a Class 4 hurdle. Unlikely to threaten
  9. ZAUBA – Five unplaced runs, the latter over 3400m in a Class 3 hurdle at Dieppe on August 8th. Look elsewhere
    Summary: LA VILLA D’ESTE (5) won twice on the flat last year and has shown plenty of talent over hurdles and fences this year. She was fourth at Dieppe in early July when last seen on her chase debut, and the switch back over hurdles looks like a positive. BELLE GOSSE (4) can be a threat. She scored at Angouleme on April 14th in a Class 4 hurdle on her sole start last year. Fitness is a slight worry. ECLIPSE DE BAUNE (1) and CHADOC (6) can duel for minor honours.

  11. JACKSON VILLE – Three placed runs this year, 3rd on the latter over 4100m at Rochefort-Sur-Loire on July 21st in a Class 3 hurdle. Hard to ignore
  12. UNIVERSAL WIND – He failed to finish last time, finishing 4th before that over 3900 m at Nimes in a Class 4 handicap hurdle on June 15th. In the mix
  13. IRUN LORD – Solid performer over hurdles recently, a win in June at this track over 3800m in a Class 4 race and two placed efforts since. Key chance
  14. BATTLE CONNEXION – Two tame efforts this year, he failed to finish over 3600m in a claiming hurdle at Auteuil on May 8th on the last start. Pass over
  15. TZAPANO – Tad below par over fences 18 days ago in a Class 2 event, 3rd before that over 3600m at Senonnes in a Class 3 handicap hurdle on July 9th. Each way angle
  16. MARCELINE DESJY – Three unplaced runs on the flat recently, the latter over 2000m at Le Lion D’Angers on July 18th in a Class 4 handicap. Not seen over hurdles since 2023 and is best avoided
  17. DALPALACE – Not seen since a 4th at Toulouse on March 20th, 2024 over 3900m in a Class 3 hurdle. Best watched for now
  18. JORIS – Several unplaced efforts, 5th over track and trip in a Class 3 hurdle on July 23rd last time. Might find this difficult

  22. VERY GOOD BOY – Placed on his last two runs, 4th on the latest over 4100m at Sille-Le-Guilla in a Class 5 hurdle on August 9th. Has work ahead to be involved
  23. AMSSETOU – 6th on her last start over 3800m at Les Sables in a Class 3 hurdle on July 22nd. Makes limited appeal
  24. JOCKO MAGIC – Three 5th-place runs on his last three starts, the latter over 3800m in a claiming hurdle at Plesse on July 28th. Look elsewhere
    Summary: IRUN LORD (4) has been in top form with four good runs recently. He won at this track on June 8th and has followed up with two good efforts over hurdles. He is preferred ahead of MAYBE THE STORY (1), who switches back to hurdles after a decent first run over fences 18 days ago at Dinan. TZAPANO (6) could be the each way choice, he switches back to hurdles after a slightly tame effort over fences 18 days ago. JACKSON VILLE (2) is also worth a mention.

  10. JOY FOR US – Second only to a very good horse at Enghien before being eliminated in a 2800m Langon Class E late last month. Pleased on sole association with Raffin and with application will take all the beating
  11. IDEAL DU NOYER – Should not be too hastily-judged for running 6th of 10 in a 3125m Granville Class E earlier this month. Went close at Vincennes the time before and will be expected to take the fight to IDEAL DU NOYER (11)
    Summary: If Eric Raffin is looking to get his day off to a good start, JOY FOR US (10) is just the horse to oblige. Plainly at the top of her game, she has nothing to prove at this level and went close last time with front pads fitted. IDEAL DU NOYER (11) failed to deliver on turf last time but has otherwise been in cracking form and Alexis Collette will be keen to give her a run for her money. JOKER DU HAMEL (9) has not got her nose in front for over a year but is as consistent as they come and makes his Pornichet bow with a lot to contribute. Mathieu Mottier has stayed faithful to JAWAX DE KERYANN (2) who has a 25m advantage this time around.

    Summary: On the back line but plainly in rude health, IROCKO STRYCK (13) was most unlucky at Cabourg recently and Cedric Terry will be eager to set the record straight. He will still be justifiably wary of complicated recent winner IMAM FLASH (10) who is 25m better off, and HELLO KERODA (12) who has won 2 of 3 for his jockey. Runner-up here last month, and shod to preference, HARABICA (7) has continued to thrive since imposing at Reims and even in this category looks a player.

  37. KAIROUAN GLAM – 3rd of 16 in a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine late last month. Is never far from faulting but in current condition is easy to recommend for a place in the frame

    Summary: Even though eliminated in 6 of 8 starts this year, KOALA DES ARCS (13) races first-time barefoot on his debut for Alexis Grimault, with Mathieu Mottier in the bike, and with application can win this. KISS COOL MIJACK (5) is consistently in the thick of things, benefits from a good number, and will be reined by the champion driver for the occasion. KAIROUAN GLAM (10) is hard to knock when focused and even from the 2nd row will be no pushover. New to the venue, but in form, KASHMIRE TONIC (8) drops marginally in category and can play an active role if he takes to the new profile.

    Summary: Simply remarkable in 2025 and facile winner earlier this month, INOA DE SOMOZA (10) is forced to start on the 2nd row but is still going to take all the beating. Not quite as consistent but in fine fettle all the same, ICE HAUFOR (14) ran 2nd to her at Les Sables-d’Olonne and again looks the main threat. Just 265 Euros from incurring the penalty, IVRE DE JOIE (8) has a lot to offer, as does HISTOIRE DE LIERRE (9) whose recent result should not be taken at face value.

Eric Raffin will still be mindful of the better-positioned LUXOR DE MARZY (2) who got off the mark here before repeating at Graignes recently, and a first-time barefoot LEADER BOURBON (6) whose recent re-entry here did not go unnoticed. LAWMAN (8) showed his form at Enghien despite being disqualified and has decent Pornichet references.

  86. MISTER LOVE JULMA – Unexceptional 4th of 8 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 12 August. Is arguably better in the other code but can play a small part nevertheless
  87. MONCOEUR DE DYPP – Eliminated in a 2475m Royan Class E on 10 August and is not about to spice things up
  88. MIGNON DES MACE – Surprising 3rd of 11 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 9 August. Franck Nivard at the helm but still cannot be considered a contender
  89. MATADOR DU PONT – Eliminated here before coming a reassuring 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 26 July. On back row and is unlikely to be influencing the result
  90. MILLENIUM JOSSELYN – Showed marked improvement here on 31 July when comfortably winning a 2100m Class G here on 31 July. Has not been blessed with the draw but Mathieu Mottier gets the nod and will be no pushover
  91. MERITE – Lost his maiden status in a 2700m Avranches Class F on 5 August. Showed good tenacity that day and while not a priority is still worth retaining
    Summary: Facile winner on his debut earlier this month, MIEUXQUERIEN (3) is nicely-placed behind the car and with Eric Raffin in the bike this time, can repeat. He will still feel the heat from the similarly well-placed MY LOVE D’EVEL (5) who opened his account in good order late last month, and MILLENIUM JOSSELYN (10) who imposed over shorter here 3 weeks ago. Beautifully-related, MYTHIQUE JOSSELYN (2) is still rather green but is clearly talented and it is only a question of time before he comes good.

  93. MUSUBI DE BELLANDE – Produced career-best performance a fortnight ago when 2nd of 12 in a 2200m Agon Class F. Breaks from the 2-spot and in similar shape can make first 5
  94. MY STORY – Made amends for Durtal elimination when 2nd of 8 finishers in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 12 August, and is nicely-positioned to challenge for a place in the frame
  95. MISSING FLIGNY – Ran 3rd behind MY STORY (3) in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 12 August only to be disqualified for interference. Drawn 4 here and Anthony Barrier will be keen to put things right
  96. MACARENA – Lost her maiden status at first time of asking, winning a 2775m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne with consummate ease on 2 August. Enjoys a good draw and Eric Raffin will be determined to extend her unbeaten record
  97. MOONLIGHT STAR – Lost her maiden status at Le Neubourg before running 4th of 9 finishers in a 3000m Neuillé-Pont-Pierre Class F on 3 August. Under these conditions though is unlikely to create an upset
  98. MAITIKA DE PEBRISY – Went close at La Rochelle but failed to confirm when 7th of 11 in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class F on 29 July. Breaks wide and appears to be taking on too much
  99. MEXICA BELLA – Imposed on debut mid-July before running 4th of 10 in a 2850m Brehal Class F 10 days ago. Not ideally-positioned but is worth monitoring all the same
  100. MASSILIA DANICA – Unremarkable filly that was eliminated in a 2600m Josselin Class F on 10 August and has no realistic chance
  101. MANON PIERJI – Going well when eliminated in a 2950m Le Mans Class E late last month. Forced to break from the rear but still represents the main threat to MACARENA (5)
  102. MISS LUDOISE – Got off the mark at Montluçon prior to running 5th of 7 finishers in a 2950m Le Mans Class E on 26 July. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time and even from the 2nd row can play a part
  103. MASSADA ATALANTE – Out of the picture in last 2, most recently last of 11 in a 2725m Cabourg Class E last week, and is unlikely to generate much interest
    Summary: After qualifying nicely earlier in the year, MACARENA (5) debuted victoriously at Les Sables-d’Olonne early this month and, well-placed in front, can double up. Eric Raffin will still be vigilant of the complicated MANON PIERJI (10) who is not one to ignore when focused, and MAGIE D’ORME (1) gave a good account of herself last time out. Handed the plum spot in front and reassuring at Saint-Malo, MY STORY (3) looks a player.
