R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE LANGEAIS – 2850m (a2m) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 75,000
- HAIKIDO – 69-1 4th to INHERIT (7) in a 2100m Class D on 3 January. Has been reconfigured but still not a concern
- INSTANT D’HAUFOR – Useful sort but has not been seen out since April last year and is going to need the race
- INFERNO PIPER – Honest sort that ran 3rd to INHERIT (7) in a 2100m Class D on 3 January, but failed to confirm in Cagnes, and is being aimed too high this time
- HALMA D’AMER – Previously a good sort but disappointing last season and is not about to spice things up
- HOLD UP DREAM – 2nd to INHERIT (7) in a 2100m Class D before being found wanting in a Class B next time. Breaks in front but still not an obvious choice
- ICONE D’ERABLE – Got back in the game 12 days ago when 2nd in a 2700m Class C here, at 46-1, however confirmation appears unlikely
- INHERIT – Beat a number of these earlier in the month but was rather unlucky here next time. Enjoys a front-line start though and will be competitive at the business end of affairs
- FEU DE REVOLTE – Steps up in category after coming good 4th in a Class C under these conditions on 17 December. Comes here fresh, starts in front, and is not incapable of picking up a first-5 cheque
- INDIGO DE FONTAINE – Tricky character that reassured late last month when 2nd of 15 in a 2700m Class B here. Alexandre Abrivard back in the bike, but still not a leading contender
- JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – In the frame in 3 straight before winning Gr.3 Prix de Brest over course and distance on 17 January. Incurs the penalty but still looks main threat to JINGLE DU PONT (16)
- JAG STRYCK – Unremarkable trotter making first appearance since early-November. Races shod this time and can be confidently disregarded
- HURRICANE CARTER – Generous trotter that seldom puts a foot out of line. Finished 3rd, a place behind ISOFOU DU CHENE (13), in 2700m Gr.3 Prix du Forez on 10 January, and although unlikely to get his nose in front, should nevertheless hold his own
- ISOFOU DU CHENE – Produced a pair of fine performances before unluckily losing his action in 2100m Gr.3 Prix du Luxembourg here last weekend. Is quite obviously in fine condition though and, with application, will be competitive for a step on the podium
- HORATIUS D’ELA – Won a Class B over 2700m during the autumn but has failed to confirm 3 times since, and with pads fitted will have nothing to offer
- HE AND ME – Quality element with just 2 runs under his belt following a lengthy layoff. Goes barefoot with a top pilot at the helm this time though and could pleasantly surprise
- JINGLE DU PONT – Tough individual that ran excellent 7th in 2100m Gr.3 Prix du Luxembourg here last weekend, despite missing the break. Would be preferred barefoot but has a lot going for him and enjoys a decent chance of opening his 2026 account
Summary: Winner of the Gr.2 Finale du Grand National du Trot earlier in the meeting, JINGLE DU PONT (16) most recently held his own in a first-rate renewal of the Gr.3 Prix du Luxembourg last Saturday. He races shod this time but, considering the entry, can impose. He will still be opposed by JONGLEUSE DE LUNE (10) who ran 3rd to him in the GNT Final and most recently wrapped up the Gr.3 Prix de Brest, and ISOFOU DU CHENE (13) who was eliminated when clearly going well in the Luxembourg. A tough nut when barefoot and focused, HE AND ME (15) is barefoot for his first target of the new year and will be reunited with Eric Raffin who has already won with him 4 times. INHERIT (7) is 25m better off this time and has never disappointed over 2850m.

C2 – PRIX DE LAZENAY – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - MEPHISTO JAVANAIS – Made amends for Cabourg elimination when victorious in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class F last week. Faces a tougher test here but still looks up to the challenge
- MARWIN – Tough individual that has found his mark racing left-handed. Got back to winning ways in Mons a week ago, however a repeat seems improbable
- MATCH LOVE – Got off the mark at Angers 2.5 weeks ago, then ran 3rd in a 2175m Class E 8 days later. Is clearly revitalised and will be competitive for a place cheque once more
- MELLOW SPEED – Serious sort that has yet to make good on his promise, but races barefoot for the first time and should have the wherewithal to wrap this up
- MILO JO – Ran 2nd at Cabourg last month before coming valiant 3rd in a 2700m Class E here on 14 January. Goes barefoot again but may just have to play 2nd fiddle this time
- MATRIX SAUTREUIL – Last of 5 finishers, a place behind MUSTANG DE REUX (7), in a 2850m Class E over the inner course here earlier in the month and will need to raise his game considerably
- MUSTANG DE REUX – Looked rather ordinary when 4th of 5 in a 2850m Class E over the inner course here earlier in the month, and will need to find more
- MOZART DE L’ITON – Steps up in category after opening his account in a Nates Class F almost 2 months ago. Will be fresh but, at this level, represents more a minor place chance
Summary: Arguably better over this short course, MELLOW SPEED (4) gets to race barefoot for the first time and looks thoroughly capable of turning the tables on MILO JO (5) who had his measure here a fortnight ago. MATCH LOVE (3) has turned a corner since being reconfigured and should be just as much at ease over this particular course. Winner of 2 of his last 3, MEPHISTO JAVANAIS (1) will be shod as he was at Mauquenchy and makes his debut in the capital with a good hand to play.

C3 – PRIX DE FLEURANCE – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 38,000 - NEMO D’ARNHEM – Eliminated in both starts to date, latterly at La Capelle in early-November, and is unlikely to create an upset
- NAKALOUN – Eliminated at Nantes but got back in the game when 2nd in an Argentan Class F 3 weeks ago, however in this company is not about to confirm
- NICOU CHAK – Made up for main-track elimination when 2nd over 2000m in Gelsenkirchen. Should take well to the inner course profile and, with application, can challenge for a spot in the frame
- NICE SPEED – Failed to confirm Angers victory when eliminated under the saddle here a week ago. Is not easy to handle but Eric Raffin has been drafted in for the occasion and can begin to set the record straight
- NEMO DU VARLET – Would have dominated a 2175m Class D here on 25 November had he stayed in stride. Has not been seen out since, and is not easy to use, but can still finish in the mix
- NEMROD BUROIS – Showed early promise but has failed to come good over recent months and is unlikely to have many friends in the markets
- NEW MONEY – Somewhat lacklustre 3rd in a 2175m Class D here mid-month, but is plainly better than most here and returning to the inner course may be just the ticket to his redemption. Chance
- NAOS DES MARETTES – Showed improvement when 4th, a place behind NEW MONEY (7), in a 2175m Class D here mid-month, but is a first-5 chance at best
- NINIO DE MALAC – Takes a notable hike in category after dominating his last 2 races. Is patently a colt for the future and once again looks the horse to beat
- NAMARETTI DEVOL – Moderate colt making first appearance since early-October and is unlikely to spring any surprises
Summary: NINIO DE MALAC (9) made up for his debut elimination by winning his next 2 starts unopposed; he faces a significantly better bunch this time but still looks eminently up to the task. Lilian Bertin will still want to be wary of NEW MONEY (7) who, although slightly disappointing last time, is nevertheless close to his race, and NICE SPEED (4) who got off the mark earlier in the month. NICOU CHAK (3) returns to Paris after prepping in Germany and will not be far from the action provided he stays in stride.

C4 – PRIX DE CHOLET – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A – Mounted – EUR € 51,000 - NOCTALIE MADRIK – Flattering 3rd of 4 finishers behind NOUMBA AS (4) here 10 days ago and has a lot of ground to make up
- NEO VANILLA – Has improved for every run but will need to improve even further on latest 3rd to NIKITA DES CHARMES (7) here 2.5 weeks ago
- NYSKA – Authoritative winner of a Class D over the inner course in early-December. Was quickly eliminated over course and distance next time, but will not be far off the mark if she stays trotting
- NOUMBA AS – Has shown better aptitude for the ridden discipline, latterly 2nd in a 2200m Class D here 10 days ago. Is unlikely to paint the town red but sports front pads for the first time and can nevertheless pick up a cheque
- NANO UP STAR – Takes to the monte code for the first time after having comfortably secured a Bordeaux Class B on 22 December, and can figure prominently if form transitions
- NEW SUCCESS – Fine colt with bags of ability but has struggled under harness recently. Makes the logical switch to the monte code and looks capable of playing an important role
- NIKITA DES CHARMES – Superior over the short course a month back, then confirmed 2 weeks later with a commanding Class B course-and-distance performance. Has a lot more to give and is thoroughly capable of completing the hat-trick
Summary: Taking to the monte code has been paying off lately for the nicely-entered NIKITA DES CHARMES (7) who made all in a Class B over course and distance 2.5 weeks ago. She has every right to race at this level and a similar performance would see her double up. Francois Lagadeuc will still be mindful of the well-regarded, and shod, NEW SUCCESS (6) who debuts in the discipline with Eric Raffin in the irons. NYSKA (3) was unable to confirm her early-December victory when eliminated in the race of reference but Mathieu Mottier will be particularly keen to put things right.

C5 – PRIX DE CHAMBERY – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000 - EL DORADO BAR – Serious trotter starting for first time since September. Stays shod for re-entry and can be passed over
- KRUNCHY – Below-par 11th of 13 to KHEO VIVANCIERE (15) over shorter here earlier in the month. Has otherwise been in fine shape but still seems to be taking on too much
- KING D’HERMES – Moderate sort with no particular love for the venue and is clearly in conditioning-mode
- THE LION – Pleasantly surprised on comeback 10 days ago when 2nd in a Class D over course and distance. Will not be sent out at 80-1 this time but is unlikely to be as competitive either
- UNDERGROUND ARTIST – Faces first objective of the winter after a modest comeback run here a month ago. Is barefoot this time but others still preferred
- KINGSTON DE BLARY – Talented type but eliminated early in last 2. Seen more often over 2700m but can play a part if David Thomain gets him off on the right foot
- JUBII VANG – Ran 3rd in a 2700m Class C here late last month but disappointing behind KNOK (12) at Mauquenchy next time and will need to find more
- KING LOOK – 3rd to KHEO VIVANCIERE (15) in early-January prior to dominating a 3000m Nantes Class E 9 days later. Takes on a better lot this time but still looks dangerous
- ETRANGER JOYEUSE – Tough Italian element that has won 3 of 4 over the main track, including over 2850m. Will be barefoot as anticipated and must be taken seriously
- FUSION EAGRA – Hardy Swedish sort with 3 conditioners under his belt ahead of Vincennes debut. Is barefoot for the occasion, with Alexandre Abrivard reining, and should have no issue with the extended trip. Attention
- KID PARKER – Has ample talent but is not easy to use. Goes barefoot following a pair of preps but others still easier to trust
- KNOK – No slouch on a good day and is confirmed under these conditions. Encouraged at Mauquenchy 2.5 weeks ago and, racing barefoot this time, is unlikely to be too far off the mark
- FASHION MONGER – Quality Scandinavian type making French debut in excellent shape. Champion driver in the bike this time and has a decent chance of contesting the finish
- MASERATI HALL – Was found wanting in Gr.1 Prix Tenor de Baune on 21 December. Will be considerably more competitive in this grade of race and Gabriele Gelormini will be at the helm this time. First 5
- KHEO VIVANCIERE – Well-engaged here and clearly at the top of his game. Authoritative winner of his last 2 and the hat-trick is well within his reach
- KER POULGWEN – Has ample ability but has struggled to find his way over recent months and must first re-establish his credentials
Summary: Enjoying something of a renaissance since starting to race in his current configuration, KHEO VIVANCIERE (15) tackles 2850m of the main track for the first time, but in current condition is still easy to like for the 3-timer. He nonetheless faces a stiff test against Swedish raider FASHION MONGER (13) who will be partnered by Eric Raffin for his Vincennes bow, and returning transalpine visitor ETRANGER JOYEUSE (9) who boasts an enviable win-rate here. Victorious under these conditions last winter, KING LOOK (8) was superb at Nantes earlier in the month and will be no easy touch.

C6 – PRIX D’ISSOIRE – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MONEY SHARK – Well-beaten in a 2700m Class D here on Boxing Day and would be preferred at a lower level
- GOOGLE BLUE GRIF – Hardy Italian filly that consistently gives everything she has. Will have come on for comeback run and with shoes off for the occasion can play a leading role
- GINEAH DANCE – Returns to Vincennes after having pleased more than once in Milan this winter. Shod as she was when victorious in Turin but still not a priority
- GLAMOUR GIO – Serious but tricky Italian filly returning to racing barefoot after being conditioned at San Siro 10 days ago. Mattheiu Abrivard in the bike this time and will be legitimately expecting to finish close
- GUARDAMI – 2nd in a Class A here in September but has been eliminated in 3 in Italy since. Is in the care of Mathieu Mottier this time, sports fresh shoeing, and should not be overlooked
- MISS DE LA COTE – Undeniably capable but out of the picture in last 2 and will first need to reaffirm
- MANHATTAN FRANCE – Runner-up in both return runs, most recently missing out by little in a 2100m Class D here on 13 January, and Eric Raffin will be eager to have her deliver in the capital
- MISS BELGRAVE – Had been on a good run of form until faulting in a snowstorm here on 5 January. Has been reconfigured for the occasion but still a minor place prospect at best
- MISS MATTERS – Makes first harness start for new trainer, having been introduced to Vincennes under the saddle on Boxing Day. Hind shoes off this time and will not be far off the mark if she stays in stride
- MERRY RIVER – Good class of filly that has been showing a different side lately. Races first-time barefoot and looks primed to open her metropolitan account
Summary: MERRY RIVER (10) may not have triumphed since June but she has been knocking at the door lately, set her personal best chrono here recently, and barefoot for the first time is easy to fancy for the win. MANHATTAN FRANCE (7) though, went close on her recent Vincennes debut and Eric Raffin stays faithful. GOOGLE BLUE GRIF (2) has been a force at home in Italy, gave a good account on comeback, and will be barefoot for her first foray into France. Barefoot as she was when storming up in Naples, GLAMOUR GIO (4) will be no pushover if she takes to the main-track profile.

C7 – PRIX JEAN ET ANDRE DE LA VAISSIERE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LENZO – In the frame in 4 of last 5, most recently 3rd in a Mauquenchy Class F last week. Has no Vincennes references, but is plainly in form, and with Franck Nivard reining will be afforded every chance
- LEOLIO – Unremarkable type that has been struggling for some time and will first need to get his house in order
- LITTLE CASH – Honest trotter that gave a superb account on re-entry at Mauquenchy on 12 January. Gets to race barefoot for the first time and with nothing to prove over a similar trip is unlikely to be too far off the mark
- LOUSTIC DE DALINE – Ran 3rd at Le Mans before coming 2nd in a Cordemais Class F earlier in the month. Top pilot in the bike and entertains an outside chance of winning this
- LITTLE BOY – Moved his game up a couple of notches at the end of 2025. Has freshness on his side and returns to racing left-handed with every chance of imposing
- LOOK AT ME – Imposed at Lyon-Parilly on 13 December before coming 4th in a Saint-Galmier Class E 5 days later. Yoann Lebourgeois in the bike this time and a first-5 payout is well within his charge’s capacity
- LEON DE SOURCE – Tricky sort but has started to come good this term. Left a fine impression here 9 days ago and Matthieu Abrivard will ably deputise in the bike. Attention
- LATINO LA MAZURE – Very much out of the picture in last 6 starts and again appears to have nothing to offer
- L’ECLAIR DE PLAY – Modest element with better references racing clockwise and is unlikely to influence the outcome
- LOUXOR DANICA – Encouraging 4th in a 3000m Nantes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. David Thoamin in the bike this time but still not an obvious choice
- L’ALPHA DE LAUNI – Prepped nicely ahead of LANNISTER (12) under these conditions earlier in the month. Runs barefoot this time and, with form maintained, can again figure prominently
- LANNISTER – Dependable sort that will be racing barefoot after his early-January comeback run. Has never been tested over this shorter trip but does not come to Paris for the tour. Chance
Summary: Much improved since starting to race competitively-shod, LITTLE BOY (5) makes his Vincennes bow with decent left-handed credentials to back him up and he thrives with Eric Raffin. Reliably performant, and barefoot following his Vincennes re-entry run, LANNISTER (12) benefits from a terrific entry and looks a possible threat, as does LEON DE SOURCE (7) who gave a reassuringly good account under these conditions early last week. Just once out of the frame since August, LOUSTIC DE DALINE (4) races barefoot for the first time and Mathieu Mottier gets the nod.

C8 – PRIX DE FEUCHEROLLES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - FIRST KISS BI – Sports a new configuration after being eliminated on recent comeback but still has no realistic chance
- LISBETH DRY – Pleased twice at home in Mons before failing to deliver here in early-December. Has had time to recalibrate and can play a small role if Christophe Martens keeps her focused
- FUJIKO FONT – Looked decidedly ordinary on Vincennes debut in a Class D on 4 December, and is not about to spring any surprises
- PURE DESIRE – Wonderfully regular Swedish mare that has yet to be beaten when barefoot. Has no references over the distance but would not be here if she didn’t hold some good cards
- SHE’S A WINNER – Fine Belgian mare that has won 11 of 14 to date. Faces some better horses this time but will be barefoot and no soft touch
- LUCRECE HAUFOR – Has evident ability but has failed to deliver so far this term. Is in shape though and should not be overlooked
- THANKWORTHY TILE – Makes first start south of Scandinavia after having prepped nicely at Eskilstuna last time. Shoes off for the occasion, with recent Prix d”Amerique-winning driver at the helm, and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- FEDE JET – Makes just 2nd start in the French capital. Tends to go well when barefoot but others still easier to support
- FLORIS DAY BAR – Dependably performant sort returning to Vincennes after having gone into her spell on a high note. Has yet to deliver here but will be barefoot and competitive when it matters. First 5
- OLYMPIA GREENWOOD – Got back in the game in Gelsenkirchen last week but still appears to be biting off more than she can chew
- OPAL STONE – Has done nothing but improve lately but faces a much stiffer test this time and can be passed over
- LILI BROAY – 4th, a place behind LA CALLAS (16), here on 13 January. Always gives what she can but is up against it this time around
- FRENCIS ZL – Goes well for the most part at home in Italy, but has yet to make any impression at Vincennes and, even though barefoot, is unlikely to start now
- LILI DES ORMES – Made short work of a 2175m Class E on Vincennes bow just over 3 weeks ago. Mathieu Mottier in the bike once more and will be justifiably confident of another big performance. Claim
- GALAXY LOVE D.E. – Starts in France for the first time after imposing at Axevalla late last month. Looks to have the main-track profile and, with Eric Raffin reining, enjoys a decent chance of winning this
- LA CALLAS – Produced at 44-1 surprise when 3rd in a 2700m Class E here on 13 January. A repeat, however, seems improbable
Summary: LILI DES ORMES (14) left quite the impression when imposing on her Vincennes bow early this month and will be legitimately well-backed to repeat. She will face resistance though from fine Swedish raider GALAXY LOVE D.E. (15) who will be barefoot with Eric Raffin reining for her French debut. Another making her first appearance in Paris, SHE’S A WINNER (5) has not once finished out of the first 2 and, barefoot for the occasion, must be taken seriously. Another nordic visitor, from a stable in excellent shape, PURE DESIRE (4) will be barefoot, and the engagement of Alexandre Abrivard speaks volumes.

Summary: A small field of seven and none of them can safely be ruled out from winning. NEW BABY DOLLAR (4) looked good when scoring on debut but does need to prove he goes further this time around. NEUVILLOISE (6) is already proven over this course and distance and will be right there at the finish. NEMO DES BROUETS (7) is consistent and is clearly not out of it. NELSON VOLTIGEUR (2) faulted on debut but could be a threat, with improvement very likely.

Summary: A very open race. LIBERATA (3) was unlucky at this track last time out. This shorter distance should not be a problem and she can bounce back and score. LOOPING RENARDIER (1) seems better than his recent runs and could like this particular course and distance. LOLA DU CHERISAY (2) remains in good form and should be competitive once again.
