  15. HORATIUS D’ELA – Kept to mounted races of late and finished 6th in a Group 3 at Vincennes over 2700m on 28 February. Capable of an upset back in a harness race
  16. HARMONY DU RABUTIN – A runner-up in a Group 1 at Vincennes over 4150m on 22 February. Not fully barefoot thsi time but can earn some money
    Summary: JOLIE SURPRISE (8) returned to winning ways at Vincennes a fortnight ago and looks ideally placed here, with Eric Raffin retaining the drive . ISTER MAN (14) is chasing a hat-trick and, despite conceding ground and a change of driver, remains a big danger. On the front line, JOTUNN DU DOME (4) has strong claims, though a recent foot issue is a slight concern according to his trainer. JAPPELOUP TURGOT (3) has been aimed at this and gets Matthieu Abrivard back in the sulky, while HEDIC GEMA (13), a last-time-out winner, completes the shortlist.

    Summary: A very tricky race. HERMINE DU SABLIER (9) has not won a race since 2022 but does have claims in this weak contest. HALTO MESSI (7) fluffed his lines with a disqualification last month but does well at this level and should be a lively danger to these rivals. GAETAN (8) remains in good form and will challenge for top honours once again. KARAOKE (2) is unreliable but is also capable of shining brightly when smart.

    Summary: A competitive-looking race. NOVIALO (5) won a good race at Castillonnès last month on his debut. This does look a tougher assignment, but he may well remain unbeaten. NEMROD KYDE (10) seems better than his recent disqualification and ran well on debut, so is a threat. NIKITA DE MAGNY (8) is not reliable but is capable of contesting the finish in this line-up. NETFLIX MADRIK (9) won at big odds on debut but must be respected.

KISS YOU DU VERGER (3) has faulted a couple of times of late but is quite capable of winning a race of this nature if he stays in stride. KALIN ELDE (6) hinted that his winning turn might not be far away with a good recent performance at Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne.

JET DES PRES (10) is also holding form and could get into the mix of things this course and distance.

    Summary: NELLIEDONADO (6) ran a respectable race on her handicap debut at Chantilly when making her in mid-March when a close up fifth on the PSF. She was a decent third before that in a maiden and should hold too many aces for the well bred newcomer, FORTUNA DIAMOND (9), who will be well prepared and can be involved on her debut. LA PRIMA (7) has shown ability in her two runs and can have a say in proceedings. DEVIL’STORY (2) looks best of the remainder.

    Summary: Lightly raced due to several interruptions during his career, PAY TO LEARN (3) made a solid return last season and could go one better on reappearance here. KARLA JET (8) has the benefit of a recent run and should be spot on fitness-wise. EPHESUS (4) returns for a yard in excellent form and commands respect, while dual Quinté+ winner KLIFF BERE (2) is another notable comeback runner.
