C1 – PRIX DE VILLEDIEU-LES-POELES – 2725m (a1m1/2) – – Harness – EUR € 33,000

  1. HIBISCUS DE LATOM – Out of the picture in all five runs in 2026, most recently disqualified in a Class E at Enghien over 2,150m on 4 July, and chances appear limited once more
  2. INEDIT DU PAVILLON – Unplaced in a Class E at Le Mans over 2,950m on 25 July 2026, however a repeat of his Amiens performance would see him pick up some prizemoney
  3. GOLDY SMILE – Unplaced in a Class E at Saint Pierre La Cour over 2,600m on 14 July 2026. Blows more cold than hot at present but is not one to be ignored
  4. IASELMA – Ran third in a Class E at Le Mans over 2,950m on 25 July 2026. Is not always easy to gauge but looks close to her race, and must be considered a priority
  5. RUGER – Has won 2 of last 3, most recently dominating a 2150m Enghien Class E last week. Benefits from a good spot on the front line and can confirm
  6. IDEAL DELADOU – Ran 7th in a Class F at Lisieux over 2,725m on 2 July 2026. Is better than recent results would imply and should not be underestimated
  7. INITIALE LILA – Finished 9th in a Class E over 2,750m here on 24 July 2026. Is not without merit but recent results do little to inspire confidence
  8. IZIASLAV TEK – Ran 2nd at Genets before being trounced at Bernay late last month, and is not about to create an upset
  9. IPSO D’AVIGNERE – Finished 7th in a Class E Apprentices’ race over course and distance on 4 August 2026. Has little room for manoeuvre at this level but could still pick up a first-five payout
  10. IDEAL MOSSA – Finished 7th in a Class D Apprentices’ race at Enghien over 2,875m on 25 June 2026. Shoes back on and poses no danger
  11. RED HOT ROADSTER – Ran good 3rd against 7 year-olds in an Arras Class E early this month. Starts on back row but will be no pushover if Gabriele Gelormini keeps her trotting
  12. SILVER BULLIT(SWE) – Returns to France following a pair of fresheners at home in Belgium, but is being aimed too high here
    Summary: RUGER (5) won with plenty in hand at Enghien and, well-placed to follow up, can double his money. There are plenty of question marks among the rest, with IASELMA (4) a podium contender after a reassuring run at Le Mans, as is RED HOT ROADSTER (11), who has not displeased since arriving in France. Barefoot this time, IDEAL DELADOU (6) is a determined sort and will be dangerous if allowed to dictate matters.

  13. JAVA DES BERTHES – Unplaced in a Clairefontaine Class H on 19 July after 8 months off the track, and is not about to create an upset
  14. JAVA DE FOLIOT – Kicked the year off superbly but has been a handful over recent months and will need to get her house in order
  15. KONSTANCIA D’OYSE – Finished disappointing 8th in a Class E over track and trip on 24 July. Has otherwise been in fine shape and Antonin André will be keen to put things right
  16. KOBRA JENILOU – Made up for Bernay elimination when 3rd in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is plainly in excellent shape and can give KATIA DE MUZE (14) a run for her money
  17. KAMTCHATKA – Respectable fifth in a Class E at Saint Malo over 2,950m on 5 August. Has turned a corner over recent weeks, sports modified shoeing, and is unlikely to be far from the action
  18. KILL AND KISS – Useful sort but has better form in the other code and can be passed over
  19. JUMBO JACK – Left a good impression despite being eliminated in a Class E at Cherbourg over 2,625m on 14 June. Will be fully-fit by now and, if applied, can finish in the mix
  20. KATINKA COTON – Unplaced in a Class E over 2,725m here on 4 August, her first appearance since August 2025. Sports modified shoeing but others still preferred
  21. KOMAN – Useful on a god day but has failed to deliver in last 2 and is not an obvious choice
  22. JAB KISS – Form has regressed significantly since imposing at Lisieux in June and can expect to have few takers
  23. JUSTAUCORPS – Runner-up in a Class E over course and distance on 28 July. Has taken well to racing fully-padded and should prove competitive when push comes to shove
  24. KUSAERI – Failed to deliver in 24 July race of reference but reassured when 3rd in a Laon Class F early this month and cannot be discounted
  25. JE T’AIME – Showed improvement when 5th in a Mauquenchy amateurs Class G last week but will have little to offer this time
  26. KATIA DE MUZE – Well-entered mare that gave a fine account despite faulting early last time out. Imposed here on 7 July and Yoann Lebourgeois will be keen to add to her tally. Claim
  27. KARAIELLA BOND – Makes Cabourg bow after being eliminated in 3 of last 4. Alexis Collette back in the bike but others still easier to support
  28. KID SMILE – Finished 10th in a Class E over 2,725m here on 4 August when still being conditioned. Is barefoot this time, with nothing to prove at this level, and can play a prominent part
    Summary: KATIA DE MUZE (14) left a fair few regrets when eliminated at Le Mont-Saint-Michel in mid-July. Given time to recover from that setback, she returns with every intention of making amends. The tough KOBRA JENILOU (4) heads the opposition alongside JUSTAUCORPS (11), who is every bit as capable as his younger rivals, and a barefoot KID SMILE (16) who will have been prepared for this excellent engagement. Sporting a new configuration, KAMTCHATKA (5) can also make her presence felt.

  30. LATINO CASTELETS – Tough type returning to a hard surface after coming 2nd in a Genets Class F a month ago. Has yet to deliver at Cabourg but in current condition is easy to fancy for the win
  31. L’APPASSIONATO – Disqualified last time out in a monte Class E at Laval over 2,850m on 25 June 2026. Is here for reasons of conditioning and will have other priorities
  32. LATINO BELLO – In the frame in last 3, most recently runner-up in a Class F at Chateaubriant over 2,300m on 7 August. Is plainly close to his race and from the 4 slot can wrap this up
  33. LAPIN AGILE – Has not got his nose in front for some time but reassured in a Biarritz Class F 3 weeks ago and the draw will do his chances no disservice
  34. LOU DU DERBY – Second in a monte Class F over 2,750m here on 4 August 2026 and best to hold off
  35. LOOKING BEST – Ran 7th in a Class F at Le Mans over 2,950m on 25 July 2026. Has no Cabourg references but has good speed and from the front row will have his supporters
  36. LITTLEKING FOXGLEN – Was unable to confirm La Capelle performance when disqualified in a Class F on turf last Sunday and others easier to trust
  37. LAOS JIEL – Useful sort with a pair of return runs under his belt following a lengthy absence. Is plainly in race-mode and can pick up minor honours
  38. LOVING STAR – Unplaced in a Class F at Montmirail over 3,200m on 12 July 2026. Sports 4 pads this time, should be fully-fit by now, and will be no easy touch if Franck Nivard successfully navigates the start
  39. LIBERTY DE FAEL – Unexceptional mare with a trio of conditioners in her since the extended layoff, but in this category will struggle to make much impact
  40. LETS GO HAPPY – Did not pull the best of numbers but showed his form when 3rd in an Amiens Class F last month. Presents solid clockwise references and with David Thomain reining will be afforded every chance
    Summary: LATINO BELLO (4) has been knocking at the door, is padded for the first time and, along with LATINO CASTELETS (2), who has been campaigned to good effect since the start of the season, look the main protagonists. Behind these two, a reconfigured LAPIN AGILE (5) can make his presence felt. LETS GO HAPPY (12) is in top form at the moment.

  41. LOLITA TURGOT – Previously a useful element but has been out of sorts for some time and must first re-establish her credentials
  42. LE POETE BOURBON – Sprang quite the surprise when successful at Le Mont Saint Michel in June, but was eliminated here 3 weeks ago and is not an obvious choice
  43. MISTER CHARLY – Takes a dip in category after running 5th in an Enghien Quinte last week. Has pulled a good number and can expect considerable support
  44. MY DARLING DU RIS – Finished 4th in a Class B at Meslay-du-Maine over 2,850m on 28 July, her first start since early-April. Will have progressed for the race, is well-placed behind the car, and will be expected to finish in the mix
  45. LIVE YOUR DREAMS – Eliminated in last 2, latterly a Class D over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Has ample ability though and is unlikely to be far off the mark if he stays in stride
  46. LE JIBAY – Pleasantly surprising 2nd in a 2725m Avranches claimer 3.5 weeks ago, however a repeat seems improbable
  47. L’INTOUCHABLE – Back under harness after running 5th in a Carentan monte Class F late last month, and is quite simply taking on too much
  48. LUPIN DU HOULEY – Complicated individual that ran reassuring 4th in a Class F under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago, but others still easier to trust
  49. MIX CASH – Was put away after finishing 13th in a Vincennes Class B in late-May. Is unbeaten in 2 starts over course and distance and can again figure prominently if David Thomain keeps him focused
  50. MUST DREAM – Untaxed on return from a spell when 7th in a Class B at Meslay-du-Maine over 2,850m on 28 July. Won his only start at the venue and even though breaking on the second line, will be well-backed to win this
  51. MYSTIC D’AVE – Second in a Class E over 2,725m here on 7 August, making up for disappointing here a week earlier. Has pulled a 2nd row draw though and looks a minor place chance at best
  52. MARVELOUS PIYA – Failed to confirm Caen performance when fifth in a Class D at Saint Malo over 2,950m on 5 August. Seldom disappoints when behaved though and can pick up a cheque
  53. MABELLISSIME – Showed improvement when fourth in a Class C at Enghien over 2,875m on 18 July. Is unbeaten racing right-handed, 1 for 1, and looks principal threat to MUST DREAM (10)
  54. MAYFLOWER – Unplaced on debut in a Class F at Saint Malo over 2,950m on 11 August and is not about to spring any surprises
    Summary: MUST DREAM (10) is a genuine right-handed specialist and enjoyed a fine spring, which included securing a hat-trick. He showed at Vichy that he goes over any trip and, sporting a new formula, can return to victorious ways. MABELLISSIME (13) possesses a sharp turn of foot and, with a decent trip, can feature in the shake-up, as can the well-positioned, and reconfigured, MISTER CHARLY (3), who was fifth last time in a stronger field. MY DARLING DU RIS (4), runner-up to the useful Mystery Queen in April, made a pleasing return with shoes fitted and will bid to confirm that effort. LIVE YOUR DREAMS (5) clearly has ability and, with application, can have a say in the result.

  55. MAMZELLE DU HOULET – Finished 6th in a Class E at Enghien over 2,875m on 26 July, on first start since early-May. Will have come on for the run but would be preferred racing left-handed
  56. MELODISYVA – Failed to capitalise on Caen effort when eliminated in a Class E here on 10 July. Starts in front though, with Yoann Lebourgeois at the helm for the first time, and has the wherewithal to finish in the money
  57. MAGIC MAGGIE – Capable on a good day but eliminated in 4 of last 5 starts, the latest a Class E over 2,750m here on 3 July. Has been handed an excellent draw and Gabriele Gelormini will be keen to make hay
  58. MAVINA DES ETANGS – An absolute write-off in 8 starts this year and has no realistic chance
  59. MASSILIA D’ALESA – Not disgraced when third in a Class D against the colts at Royan-La Palmyre over 2,475m on 19 July. Has a lot more going for her here and from the 5 slot can impose
  60. MANILLE D’ERABLE – Has yet to get fully into her stride this term, but is better than recent numbers would suggest, and the new formula may just be key to her rehabilitation
  61. MALAGA DE MARZY – Finished 4th in a Class E over 2750m here on 21 July 2026. Is seldom far from the action and looks a more serious proposition this time around
  62. MACAME DU CAUX – Ran 4th in a 2750m Class E here 2.5 weeks ago, at 31-1. Is hard to fault when focused but would have better prospects a level down
  63. MOOVIESTAR SOMOLLI – 7th in a Class E over 2,050m here on 10 July 2026. Has not been afforded the best of draws and cannot be considered a priority
  64. MOANA DE WALLIS – Undeniably capable but disqualified in 5 of last 6 starts, lastly an Enghien Class E last Monday. Has form with her driver and on good behaviour can challenge for a place in the picture
  65. MIDNIGHT SOMOLLI – Imposed at Gournay-en-Bray in May but has twice failed to confirm, and even with shoes off will have few friends
  66. MALICIA DU ROCHER – Has been very disappointing so far this season, most recently unplaced in a Class E at Le Mans 3 weeks ago, and can be confidently passed over
  67. MAM’ZELLEPAZENAISE – Returns to racing barefoot following a pair of return runs here. Presents decent credentials in similar company but the draw will do her no favours
    Summary: MASSILIA D’ALESA (5) finished with a flourish when finding an opening at Royan; in the absence of the boys, and barefoot this time, she could prove too good for this field. MALAGA DE MARZY (7) also caught the eye when fourth here last month, particularly as she met trouble during the final stages. It looks more open behind the leading pair, with MAGIC MAGGIE (3) worth a punt despite her capricious nature. On good behaviour, a reconfigured MOANA DE WALLIS (10) could spring a pleasant surprise.

  68. MERARU QUANDO – Finished 6th in a Class E over course and distance on 31 July, again unable to confirm Vichy success, and others preferred
  69. MISS SPEED – Would have finished in the frame here mid-July when eliminated in the dying stages. Is plainly at the top of her game and can bring the fight to MINNEAPOLIS (6)
  70. MOLLY WHITE – Disqualified last time out in a Class F at Caen over 2,450m on 27 May 2026. Has not been seen since though and chances are slim
  71. MISSY DE JIEL – Impressive at 3 before losing her way. Sports pads following a brace of conditioners but will first need to reassure
  72. MINA DRY – Gr.3 winner at 3 but has failed to make any impact since. Has a pair of fresheners under her belt since the layoff and, sporting a fresh formula, is worth keeping an eye on
  73. MINNEAPOLIS – Conditioned in 2 under harness after opening her monte account at Caen in June. Mathieu Mottier back in the saddle and can repeat if he manages to keep her mind on the game
  74. MISTER DU BAS BOSQ – Made up for a pair of sanctions when 4th in an Enghien Class D early this month, however confirmation seems unlikely
  75. MAZEPPA DU VIVIER – Second in a Class F at Saint Malo over 2,950m on 9 July 2026. Has taken little time getting back to her best and can play a leading role
  76. LUARIA – Has buckets of ability but is only ever a stride away from faulting. Faces first objective of the summer and can get a look in
  77. MELODY MUSIC – Finished 5th in a Class D over 2,725m here on 21 July 2026, 9 days after imposing at Clairefontaine, but appears to have her hands full this time around
  78. MAYA DES GENETS – Finished 9th in a harness Class D at Saint Malo over 2,950m on 5 August when being prepped for this. Will be barefoot this time and while unlikely to lose her maiden status, can still finish in the mix
  79. MUST D’HERMES – Has been a handful since returning to competition but his form is not in question. Benefits from a terrific entry and will have his chances if Alexis Collette keeps him focused
    Summary: Shod as she was when victorious at Caen in the spring, with Mathieu Mottier in the irons, MINNEAPOLIS (6) has clearly been prepared for her return to the ridden code and can repeat. She will nevertheless need to be wary of MISS SPEED (2), who would have finished on the podium had she not blundered here last month, as well as MAZEPPA DU VIVIER (8), who has done nothing wrong since her debut as a 3yo, and MUST D’HERMES (12), who bids to bounce back after two consecutive disqualifications.

  80. NINO DE LUNA – Finished 3rd in a Class D at Caen over 2,450m on 27 May. Has not been seen since though and with shoes fitted will have nothing to contribute
  81. NUMBER ONE MADRIK – 6th in a Class E under these conditions 2 weeks ago. Can trot but has yet to lose his maiden status and is unlikely to spring any surprises
  82. NICKEL DU GOUTIER – Third in a Class E over course and distance on 31 July 2026, repeating his performance of three weeks earlier. Is plainly an interesting future prospect and should be taken seriously
  83. NO SECRET – Second in a Class E at Amiens over 2,400m on 29 July, making amends for a pair of clinkers here earlier that month, and with form maintained can again finish close
  84. NOBLE WOOD – Serious type that imposed at Hyeres in June before running 2nd in a Biarritz Class D 3 weeks ago. Is plainly on the way up and could yet upset the Thomain bothers’ plans. Chance
  85. NIL CATZ – Finished 3rd in a Class E over 2,725m here on 17 July, having got off the mark at Amiens 3 weeks earlier, and is unlikely to return home empty-handed
  86. NINDALF – Outclassed the opposition in a Class E at Bernay over 2,300m on 12 July to lose his maiden tag. Has been competitively-shod for the first time and, with David Thomain in the bike, clearly means business. Claim
    Summary: NINDALF (7) has been improving with every start, as underlined by his recent success on the grass at Bernay. Fitted with four pads for the first time, he could take yet another step forward. NOBLE WOOD (5) has been hard to fault since his debut and is a leading contender, particularly with Yoann Lebourgeois booked to drive. Re-shod for the occasion, NICKEL DU GOUTIER (3) has form at the venue and can make the frame, as can NO SECRET (4), who is clearly capable of further progress.

  87. MICKELSON – Has yet to deliver on his promise but has ample potential. Is not a priority but will have come on for his return run and cannot be discounted
  88. MENTIONNAL – 9th in a Class H at Montier En Der over 3,025m on 26 July 2026. Has yet to demonstrate any particular aptitude for harness racing and debuts under the saddle with limited prospects
  89. MARCO DU VERGER – Modest trotter that has failed to place in 9 starts to date and is unlikely to change his ways
  90. MISSILE DU GOUTIER – Disqualified in a Class F at Marseille-Borely over 3,000m on 27 March. Has not been seen out since and others easier to back
  91. MYSTIC FISH – Fifth in a Class E over course and distance on 28 July, his first start in the discipline. A repeat, however, seems unlikely
  92. MINOS DE LA VALLEE – Unexceptional individual that has twice failed to confirm good Bagnoles-de-l’Orne effort last month and is unlikely to spice things up
  93. MARIOL DU GOUTIER – Encouraged in early-July but has twice failed to confirm and, even though competitively-shod for the first time, can be ruled out
  94. MOJITO PLANCHETTE – Tricky individual that comfortably won a Dozule Class F on 5 August. Is never far from losing his action but, on good behaviour, is unlikely to let the side down. Place chance
  95. MAMBO DE L’AUMOY – Has been disappointing all season, most recently unplaced in a Class F on turf last Sunday, and will have nothing to contribute
  96. MACCHIATO ABSOLUTE – Acquitted himself well at Montier-en-Der on 18 July when 3rd in a 3050m claimer, but in this category will have few takers
  97. MAGIC GARLINOIS – Disqualified last time out in a Class E over 2,725m here on 7 July. Is clearly in form though and should make his presence felt if he gets off on the right foot
  98. MILAN PRIMO – Runner-up in 2 of last 3, lastly a Class F at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 16 July. Alexis Collette stays faithful and will be no shrinking violet when things heat up. First 5
  99. MAC GYVER – Complicated element but has ample ability and is behind in earnings. Has never failed to fire with his driver and can make this his own
  100. MAHARADJAH ROYAL – Ran third in a Class E over course and distance on 28 July. In less-exalted company on this occasion and, barefoot for the first time, will be no soft touch
  101. MOSS DU HOULBET – Successful in a Class F at Durtal over 2,825m on 20 July, making it 2 from last 3, and makes his Cabourg bow with a decent hand to play
  102. MANCHESTER – Not without merit but has failed to deliver in last 2, most recently 6th over 2400m at Waregem 10 days ago, and can be passed over
    Summary: MAC GYVER (13), barefoot for the occasion, goes like a train for Mathieu Mottier and the two renew their association with ambition. A good third here in late July, MAHARADJAH ROYAL (14) has been reconfigured and must be afforded considerable respect, while MOJITO PLANCHETTE (8) also commands respect after leaving his rivals trailing at Dozule. MOSS DU HOULBET (15) has been progressing steadily, sports 4 pads for the first time, and warrants close attention on his return to a hard surface. MILAN PRIMO (12) has been re-shod and is not be underestimated.

  1. NARCOTIC THRUST – Disqualified in three of last four starts, including last time out in a Class D harness race at Pornichet-La-Baule over 2,725m on 23 July. Won a mounted race in his penultimate start and must be respected for that
  2. NOBEL DE LA COTE – Outclassed the opposition in a Class E mounted race at Cabourg over 2,750m on 28 July. Could have more to offer and is not out of it
  3. NOOK DE CONROS – Consistent and finished 4th in a Class B mounted race at Vincennes over 2,700m on 16 June. Yet to win but is capable of making some money
  4. NAZZARENO – Outclassed the opposition in a Class E mounted race at La Capelle over 2,750m on 7 July. Has disqualification issues but is also capable of doubling up
  5. NORGUSSON ATALANTE – Disqualified last time out in a Group 2 mounted race at Vincennes over 2,175m on 11 April. Could need this run returning from a break
  6. NOSTRA VERO – Disqualified in a Group 3 mounted race at Vincennes over 2,200m on 13 February. Returns from a break but could be a threat if fit enough
  7. NEPTUNE D’AUVRECY – A winner of a Class D mounted race at Caen over 2,450m on 27 May. Returns from a break and could need this run
  8. NEMO DU VARLET – Finished 6th in a Class D harness race at this course over 2,875m on 22 July. Needs to do a bit more to beat these rivals
  9. NEW HOPE DE COUZAN – Finished 6th in a Class C mounted race over this track and trip on 16 July. Capable of doing better and might play a minor role
  10. NOW OR NEVER ZEN – Made short work of rivals in a Class E mounted race over this track and trip on 26 July. Can follow up under the saddle again
    Summary: NOW OR NEVER ZEN (10) made a strong impression when winning over this course on debut and looks capable of taking another step forward. NAZZARENO (4) has found his niche in the mounted discipline and should be competitive again. The high-class NOSTRA VERO (6) returns to action with obvious claims. NARCOTIC THRUST (1) was a pleasing winner at Vichy on his mounted debut and is another who warrants plenty of respect.

    Summary: There was a lot to like about the manner in which NAMOUR DU BEARN (1) won her debut run at Corlay, and she was only narrowly defeated in her second start. She should be very hard to beat in this event. NO KIDDING (3) showed some promise on debut and should progress from that run. NOUBA VERGOIGNAN AA (2) has shown little so far and is expected to bring up the rear.

  6. MISSION SMART – A progressive 3rd in a Group 3 over 2400m at Vichy on 22 July. She was beaten just 1.75 lengths and there should be more to come from this progressive filly
  7. LADY GA – Victorious in a Class 4 at Guerlesquin over 2,900m on 27 July 2026. Takes a jump in class and should not trouble the stronger participants
  8. MET LA GOMME – A mediocre 7th in a Conditions race over 2400m at Lion D’Angers on 24 July. Cannot be take seriously based on his recent form
  9. MOKALEO – A 2.5-length winner of a Conditions race over 2700m at Vichy on 24 May. He has run well in both of his starts to date and looks ready to make the jump in class
  10. LEGENDE LOUED – A moderate 9th in a Group over 2400m at Vichy on 22 July. She looks well held by MISSION SMART (3) on that performance and is unlikely to feature prominently
    Summary: LILI STAR (2) finished runner-up to LOUISA BANBOU (1) in a Group 3 race in April where she was beaten 2.5 lengths. However, she comes into this race 3kg better off and could well reverse that form line in her return from a break. They are likely to fight out this race but one does need to keep an eye on improving MOKALEO (6), who is definitely the dark horse in this field, and MISSION SMART (3), who finished a promising third in a Group 3 last time.

  15. CAMPEONA – Did not run badly when 4th in a Conditions race over 2900m at Guerlesquin on 27 July. That was a promising debut effort but will have more to do in this race
  16. GAZELLE DU BRIZAIS – A poor 7th in a Claimer over 3000m at Fontainebleau on 15 April. Finished a tailed-off last in that race and is best overlooked
    Summary: Although not having race since 30 April, REGAL CHIME (4) is well bred and has competed in decent fields. This is her ideal chance to notch up her first victory, despite taking a jump in distance. The trip will not be an issue for MADAME UHURU (2) as she has run better the further she goes. The distance will also suit BEAUTY ANODINE (3) who made vast improvement when racing over further last time. WAYKIKI (1), the only male in the field, concedes weight to all, but cannot be overlooked.

    Summary: A number of these runners will be making their Handicap debuts which throws this race wide open. However, WHY NOT (2), who found the distance too sharp last time, has run against stronger and has the ability to grab her first win. SUNNY QUEEN (1) is consistent and a victory cannot be far off. ZIGGY SPACESTAR (4) is better than his last start while CALIDORA (7) could improve fitted with blinkers.
