James Owen’s youngster was second on his Yarmouth bow and went one better with a good front-running performance at Lingfield.
He left the impression he was still learning on the job and an opening mark of 73 for his handicap debut could underestimate him.

The three-year-old looked pretty ordinary in the second half of last season and the first half of this, but he has found his groove recently, with a head defeat at Windsor followed by a couple of comprehensive wins at the same venue.
Having fairly bolted up there last week, it is no surprise to see Moore turn his charge out quickly under a 6lb penalty and given that is offset by the 7lb claim of his rider Jude Fernandes – who has won on him before – he is difficult to oppose.

The Profitable mare has won her last couple of races comfortably and while she carries a 5lb penalty for her latest success, Keighley has booked 7lb claimer Toby Moore for her latest assignment.

She has failed to get seriously involved in any of her three outings in maiden and novice company for Karl Burke over trips ranging from a mile and a quarter to a mile and a half. The American-bred filly now drops back to a mile for her first start in a handicap and has certainly been given a chance with a fairly lowly mark of 65, while the application of a visor might also bring about improvement.
