11. LAUREL TURGOT – Disqualified in a class E at Chartres over 2800m on 28 April. Might need the run-back.  Nicolas Ensch is on the sulky and will give every assistance

12. LILLY DE GOUYE – She ran fourth in a class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 13 August. Fair form and can make the frame

Summary: LIVE ON (9) showed what he is capable of with a good last win and keeps the same shoe arrangement. He can double up and score again. LUDO SANTIGNY (7) has improved with this shoe arrangement and can contest the finish again. LUNA DE MALAC (8) has disqualification issues but also runs very well when smart. LAUREL TURGOT (11) returns from a break but could be a treat.

1. HAPPY D’AIMTE – She finished 7th in a class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 24 August. Reverts to barefoot. Undefeated in four attempts with Kassandra Fresneau on the sulky and can go close again

2. ESTIME MOI – She was third in a class G at Grenade-sur-Garonne over 2725m on 15 August. Some improvement in the latest and must confirm that

3. FUN LOVER – Disqualified in a class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 24 August. If ignoring the latest effort can play a role in the finish

4. HURRICANE FRANCE – He ran 9th in a class F at Aix-les-Bains over 2700m on 28 July. Returns to a category that he won twice last year and can be involved in the finish

5. HOOK UP ABSOLUTE – He was fourth in a class H at Sault over 3000m on 11 August. Others are preferred in this line-up

6. GRAINE D’URZY – Finished 6th in a class F at Divonne-les-Bains over 2050m on 16 August. Remains barefoot. She won her last amateur race and can be involved in the finish

7. HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR – A winner in a class F at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2150m on 15 August. He returned to this category with a victory that had eluded him for almost two years

8. FOR ME GEDE – He has been a runner-up in the last two, the latest in a class G at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 15 August. Not out of it and can pop up

Summary: HAPPY D’AIMTE (1) has won four times when Kassandra Fresneau was in the sulky so gets a confident vote to win this lucky last race. GRAINE D’URZY (6) won her last amateur race so should improve on a modest last run. HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR (7) broke a very long losing run last time out and can contest the finish again. HURRICANE FRANCE (4) won twice in this category last year and is another to consider.

1. GALET DU LEON – Won an amateurs event over 2650m here last month and most recently repeated in a 2775m amateurs Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. On the front row here and is not to be underestimated

2. HAZANA THONIC – Lacklustre 8th of 15 in a 3100m Chinon Class H a fortnight ago. Stays shod this time and unlikely to spring any surprises

3. HERMES DE BRAY – 5th of 9 in a 3450m Class F at Agon-Coutainville on 18 August. Has yet to deliver here but benefits from a front line start and in current form is very easy to like

4. HERCULE BRILLOUARD – 4th to GALET DU LEON (1) in a 2775m amateurs Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Is new to the venue and, but from the front row could get a look-in

5. HIVAR DE CELLAND – Ran 2nd at Le Touquet before coming last of 12 in a 2850m Carentan Class F a fortnight ago. Not the most dependable but Jean-Philippe Monclin engaged for the occasion and will be afforded every chance

6. HEAVEN QUICK – Below-par in last 2, most recently 9th of 11 in a 2475m Royan Class E last weekend, and is unlikely to shake things up

7. GAMIN D’HAUFOR – Totally off the boil this year, most recently sanctioned in a 2475m Royan Class E last Sunday, and can be written off

8. GOLD DE BERG – 5th at La Capelle a month back before repeating in a 2550m Cherbourg Class E 10 days ago. Has a decent Pornichet record but the handicap will do him no favours

9. GALLIANO D’EVA – Unremarkable 10th of 12 in a 2475m Royan Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Is better at a lower level and will have nothing to contribute

10. HENDAMA – Pulled off the hat-trick when victorious in a 2700m Graignes Class F on 10 August. Has never been in better shape and has every chance of securing the 4-timer

11. HAMLET DE CALVI – 9th of 15, a place behind HAZANA THONIC (2), in a 3100m Chinon Class H a fortnight ago, and will struggle to make his presence felt

12. GOOD JULINO – 5th over course and distance 3 weeks ago before faulting in a 3100m Chinon Class F a week later. Reverts to previous formula and, while not a priority, is still worth keeping an eye on

13. HORS SAISON – 4th of 13 in a Class F over course and distance a week ago. Has nothing to prove at this level and looks principal danger to HENDAMA (10)

14. HYSOPE DU BOCAGE – Produced a brace of good efforts here before trotting 6th, behind HORS SAISON (13), in a Class F over course and distance a week ago. Is considerably better than that and will have her chances

15. FEEL COOL D’EB – 6th of 11 finishers in a 2625m Class F at Saint-Jean-de-Monts 11 days ago. Would be preferred in the other code and can be passed over

Summary: HENDAMA (10) makes her Pornichet debut on a 4-timer and will take all the beating, although she will have to contend with HORS SAISON (13) who has hardly put a foot wrong since the spring, and HYSOPE DU BOCAGE (14) whose latest effort belies her real value. GALET DU LEON (1) steps back up in category but is at the top of his game and the front-line break will only work in his favour.

1. IVOIRE DU CHATELET – 9th of 12 to INDIANO JIM (11) in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week and will need to find considerably more

2. ICK DU VIVIER – Made it 2 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Shoes on and no threat

3. IDEAL D’ORMOY – Last of 13, on return from a spell, in a 2900m Class F at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 11 days ago. Goes barefoot this time but others still preferred

4. INTERDIT DE BOUERE – Pleasantly surprising 5th of 12 to INDIANO JIM in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Ideally-engaged in front and, if focused, can challenge for a place in the frame

5. IN THE SUMMERTIME – 5th of 14 in a 2875m Bréhal amateurs Class H last week. Steps back up in category, starts in front, and should not be entirely overlooked

6. ISEO PRIOR – 6th of 10 in a 2400m Beaupréau Class H on Sunday. Tends to show more a level down and others easier to back

7. ISKO D’IQUAINE – 3rd over course and distance 3 weeks ago before finishing 6th of 12 in a 2600m Plouescat Class F 2 weeks ago. Is hard to knock when barefoot and will have his supporters

8. INDIRISS – Put a brace of sanctions behind him when 4th of 13 in a 2900m Class F at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 11 days ago. Finds himself in tougher company here though and will have few takers

9. ILTON DU BRAY – Twice 4th here this month before missing out by little to INDIANO JIM (11) in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Is clearly close to his race and looks the one to beat this time

10. INDY DE MAI – 7th of 15, behind ILTON DU BRAY (9), in a Class F over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Is better than that though and, with pads fitted this time, can get a look-in

11. INDIANO JIM – Sprang a 35/1 surprise when victorious in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Unlikely to repeat but can still figure prominently

12. IENISSE DE BARBRAY – 4th of 9 in a 3100m Chinon Class F 2 weeks ago. Simply excels at Pornichet and with Eric Raffin in the bike, will be afforded every chance

13. IBRA TEJY – Pleasant 4th of 7 finishers in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 13 August. Has been transformed this summer and looks a player on Pornichet debut

14. ILIO MANNETOT – Reassuring 2nd of 10 in a 2650m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne earlier this month, on first start since May. Will have come on for the run and, with application, will not be far off the mark

Summary: ILTON DU BRAY (9) has done nothing but improve over the past 6 weeks, boasts excellent Pornichet credentials, and can win this. Anthony Barrier will nonetheless be wary of IENISSE DE BARBRAY (12) who thrives at the venue, and front-line starter INTERDIT DE BOUERE (4) who, even with shoes on, will have his chances. Impressive on his return to competition, ILIO MANNETOT (14) must be taken seriously.

1. IZZY LISZT – On a decent run of form, most recently 3rd of 10 in a 2750m Class F at La Ferté-Vidame 11 days ago. Should take well to the new profile and, from the front row, can play a small part

2. ITALIA HAUFOR – Faulted in last 2, most recently a 2475m Royan Class F last Sunday. Shoes back on but still not an obvious choice

3. IVRE DE JOIE – Victorious in a 2625m Class F at Saint-Jean-de-Monts 2.5 weeks ago. Reliability not her strong suit but still cannot be discounted

4. ISCHIA – Sanctioned in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 18 August. Is not the worst horse here but, even with front pads fitted, still has too much to do

5. ISIS DE L’AUBE – Made it 3 sanctions in 4 starts when faulting in a 2900m Class F at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 11 days ago and can expect to have few friends

6. ISKA DE VICTHI – Placed at Abbeville before coming 2nd of 6 in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Enjoys a superb entry here and Grégoire Houel will be eager to capitalise

7. ICE HAUFOR – Made short work of a 2650m Class F here mid-month. Races barefoot again and should be able to defy the handicap. Claim

8. IDOLE DELICE – 4th of 8 in a 2625m Class F at La Rochelle 3 weeks ago. Is useful when barefoot and even though in good company here, should generate some interest

9. IRIS DES YOLAIS – Has 2 races under her belt since the spell, most recently last of 15 in a Class F over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Barefoot as she was when imposing at Bordeaux and must be afforded respect

10. IBIZA DE CONNEE – Won at La Ferté-Vidame earlier in the month before coming 3rd of 15 in a Class F over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Gets the champion driver for the occasion and looks main threat to ICE HAUFOR (7)

11. ISIS DE CHANGE – Showed marginal improvement when 5th of 8 in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class E 3 weeks ago but still has more to find

12. ICONE DU GARDEN – 4th over track and trip late-July before finishing last but one in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F on 13 August. Has yet to disappoint here and is not about to start. Place prospect

13. ILLUSION DE CHENU – 6th of 13 in a 2900m Class F at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 11 days ago, after having pleased at Neuillé-Pont-Pierre, but in this category will have limited chances

14. IDOLE DU TRESOR – Consistent mare that came 4th of 7 finishers in a 2475m Francheville Class F a fortnight ago. Is new to the venue, and positioned on the back row, but in current form is hard to ignore

Summary: An authoritative winner over 2650m here a fortnight ago, when barefoot for the first time, ICE HAUFOR (7) starts with a 25m handicap this time but will not be dethroned easily. The rejuvenated IBIZA DE CONNEE (10) showed her form here mid-month and with Eric Raffin at the helm this time, will be expected to run her close. Boasting a good turn of foot, ICONE DU GARDEN (12) can put her Saint-Malo effort behind her and will be competitive, as should the on-form ISKA DE VICTHI (6) who breaks with a 25m head-start.

1. JOSY D’OCCAGNES – 7th of 8, on monté debut, in a 2475m Francheville Class F 2 weeks ago, and is unlikely to influence the outcome

2. JACKPOT DE CHENU – Somewhat reassuring 5th to JUPITER DE VAL (3) in a 2300m Le Mans Class F mid-July. Has yet to deliver for Benjamin Rochard but in this small field, will not be going home empty-handed

3. JUPITER DE VAL – Failed to confirm his Le Mans success when sanctioned in a 2400m Châteaubriant Class F on 6 August. Form is not in doubt though and can wrap this up if Eric Raffin keeps him trotting

4. JALISCA DE CHENU – 7th of 8 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F earlier in the month. Has merit but current form does little to inspire confidence

5. JOUE PAS AVEC MOI – Returns to the monté code after coming 3rd of 7 in a 2225m harness Class F at Agon-Coutainville 11 days ago. Is clearly in fine shape and looks a serious proposition

6. JACKPOT MAN GLORIA – Runner-up in her last 2, latterly a 2650m Vertou Class F last Sunday. Is close to winning another and represents main danger to JUPITER DE VAL (3)

7. JUDICY DE VIVE – Back under the saddle after finishing 8th of 10 in a 2400m Beaupréau harness Class F last Saturday. Honest sort in the monté code but still has too much to do

Summary: Very hard to fault when focused these days, JUPITER DE VAL (3) is clearly in rude health and Eric Raffin will be loathe to let another good opportunity slip by. That being said, JACKPOT MAN GLORIA (6) has been in cracking form over the past 6 weeks and represents the main opposition. JOUE PAS AVEC MOI (5) is back under the saddle after having reassured in the other code and, confirmed at Pornichet, will have his chances.

2. JACKSON GALAA – 5th of 7 in a 2750m Class H at Le Pertre on 18 August and has no chance in this field

3. JACOMO DANICA – Sanctioned here earlier in the month before coming 11th of 14 in a 3100m Chinon Class F 12 days ago, and is not about to cause an upset

4. JASMIN DU POHOSE – Sanctioned in last 4 under harness, most recently a Class F over course and distance mid-month. Would be preferred in the other discipline

5. JIF ECLAIR – Lost his action in a Class F over course and distance on 16 August and will first need to re-establish his credentials

6. JERICOCKO DE FRAD – Reassuring 3rd of 8 in a 2625m Class F at Le Sap 2.5 weeks ago. Form is clearly on the right trajectory and debuts at the venue with a good hand to play

7. JOBI SAINT JO – Sanctioned in a 2700m Thouars Class F on Sunday. Has been off the boil since his comeback run and, with shoes on, can be passed over

8. JEREMY DU SUD – Respectable 6th of 14 in a 2650m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week but can expect to find this a stiff test

9. JUNINHO SPORT – Made up for his early-August sanction when 2nd of 11 in a 3450m Agon-Coutainville Class F 11 days ago. Is plainly close to his race and has the wherewithal to impose this time

10. JUNIOR D’AVRAN – Honest type that came 5th of 8 in a 2400m Beaupréau Class F last Saturday but will have little to offer here

11. JANGO BLEU – 5th of 12 in a Class F over course and distance 2 weeks ago and, with form maintained, can finish closer this time

12. JACKPOT MADRIK – Has bags of talent but sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly a 2600m Plouescat Class F mid-month. Has a lot going for him here though and, if focused, can have his day in the sun

13. JEHOL D’ISCLA – 3rd of 10 in a 2950m Mansle Class H 11 days ago. Has never let the side down in current configuration and, despite the handicap, will have his supporters

14. JOSS D’ATTAQUE – Made it 4 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2650m Class F here a fortnight ago. Has ample ability though and, with application, could pleasantly surprise

15. JUNIOR DU GRENIER – Reliability not his strong suit but pleased here before faulting in a 2900m Ploërmel Class H on Saturday, and backs up with a decent chance of making the frame

16. JOKER WIC – Not as sharp as he was this time last year but enjoys an excellent entry at the limit of earnings and has a reasonable chance of making first 5

Summary: An interesting contest this with a number in contention. JUNINHO SPORT (9) returned from his break in excellent shape and has a realistic chance of losing his maiden tag. That said, JACKPOT MADRIK (12) enjoys a good entry, sports a new configuration, will be reined by Eric Raffin, and will be no pushover. The complicated JUNIOR DU GRENIER (15) is 25m worse off but he showed his form here mid-month and looks competitively well-in. JANGO BLEU (11) got back in the game here recently and is not incapable of making the frame this time.

1. JASMINE DES FLOTS – Was on the right road before finishing 9th to JOZEFINA (5) in a 2650m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week. Barefoot this time but is being aimed too high

2. JANELLE DES VENTS – 10th of 11 in a 2950m Mansle Class H on 18 August and has nothing to offer here

3. JANAE D’ECHAL – 8th behind JOZEFINA (5) in a 2650m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week and will need to find significantly more

4. J’ADORE SPOKEN – A total write-off for much of the year, most recently sanctioned in a 2925m Class F at La Chartre-sur-le-Loir 11 days ago, and will have few friends in the markets

5. JOZEFINA – Pleasantly surprising 5th of 14 in a 2650m Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne last week, although a repeat seems most improbable

6. JIOSKA LUDOISE – Last but one in a 2400m Beaupréau monté Class F last weekend. Clearly better in the other code but sports 4 pads this time and can get a look-in

7. JALOUISIA GIRL – Oddly below-par 7th of 14 in a 3100m Chinon Class F 12 days ago. Is well-in on the first line and can more than make amends

8. JADE DES BRETTES – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd of 10 in a 2650m Vertou Class F on Monday, and backs up barefoot and with a reasonable chance of making first 5

9. JAMAIQUE DE MADKER – Last of 11 when preparing for this in a 2950m Saint-Malo Class F 2 weeks ago. Is not everyone’s cup of tea but is useful when focused, races barefoot this time, and Anthony Barrier will assure her a competitive drive

10. JAVA DE L’AUMOY – Last of 11 in a 3200m Class F at Blain-Bouvron-Le Gâvre  11 days ago. Unshod-all-4 this time but others still preferred

11. JET SET CHARMEUSE – Made up for 2 sanctions when 2nd of 11 in a 2625m Class F at Le Sap 2.5 weeks ago. Steps up in category but races barefoot and looks a player from the front line

12. JEDICOVA DICARI – 2nd last in a 2475m Royan Class G last week. Has been off the boil for some time and can be passed over

13. JAZZIE DE VAL – Has taken no time getting back to her best, latterly 2nd of 9 in a 2750m Le Pertre Class H on 18 August, and looks capable of ruffling a few feathers. Chance

14. JAYA KALOUMA – Complicated mare that faulted in a 3150m Abbeville Class H 2.5 weeks ago. Will be reined by Eric Raffin for first time and can win this if he keeps her trotting

Summary: Sanctioned in her last 3, but already a winner this summer, JAYA KALOUMA (14) goes barefoot for the occasion, has been entrusted to Eric Raffin and, if focused, can bring home the bacon. She will still come under pressure from the dynamic JAZZIE DE VAL (13) who just missed out on the hat-trick earlier in the month, and the better-placed JALOUISIA GIRL (7) whose recent Chinon performance can be ignored. JET SET CHARMEUSE (11) reassured at Le Sap and, barefoot for the first time, deserves to take her chances.

2. KALIMBA DE CAPONET – Modest filly that trotted 8th of 11 in a 2650m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2.5 weeks ago, and has no possible chance

3. KIVIVE DE HOUELLE – Got back in the game last Saturday when 3rd of 10 in a 3150m Abbeville Class F. Has considerable untapped potential and is well-placed to give this a good go. First 5

4. KAMILLA DRY – Has merit but sanctioned in 3 of last 4, latterly a 2725m Lisieux Class E early-July. Will be fresh but better options available

5. KALINDA SPOKEN – Trotted 5th here 2 weeks ago before faulting in a 2650m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 3 days later. Unshod-all-4 this time but appears to be biting off more than she can chew

6. KALIE DREAM – Disappointing since the spring, most recently 10th of 12 in a 2400m Rochefort-sur-Loire Class F 3.5 weeks ago, and can be ruled out

7. KENYA FLIGNY – Bounced back from his Sablé clinker with 3rd of 11 in a 2650m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2.5 weeks ago. Has ideal conditions and, already confirmed here, looks a serious proposition

8. KENZO D’EVA – Lost his action in a 2950m Vichy Class E early-July. Comes here fresh but stays shod and best to hold off

9. KEEPSAKE MOSSA – Steps back up in category after winning a 2700m Graignes Class F on 10 August. Shoes back on though and others preferred

10. KANAILLE DU LUPIN – 2nd over course and distance early-July before confirming in a 2950m Le Mans Class E 16 days later, and can win this

11. KENDRICK – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 3000m Class E at Rochefort-sur-Loire 3.5 weeks ago. Shod to preference this time and if race-fit, can give KANAILLE DU LUPIN (10) a run for her money

12. KIARA DE JADE – Sanctioned in a 2850m Carentan Class D 2 weeks ago. Not the most reliable but can trot and should not be overlooked

13. KALISCA DE LA LEUE – Won at Château-du-Loir a month ago before running close 2nd in a 2875m Meslay-du-Maine Class E a fortnight ago and, with form maintained, will be a candidate for the podium

14. KAMANDINE BLEUE – Faithful filly that came 5th of 8 in a 2450m Villeréal Class E on 17 August but, in this company, will struggle to make her mark

Summary: Barring a pair of sanctions, KANAILLE DU LUPIN (10) has done everything asked of her, is behind in earnings and, on good behaviour, should be able to wrap this up. Antoine Wiels will still want to be wary of the recently-returned, and reconfigured, KENDRICK (11) who won 3 from 4 earlier in the year, and KALISCA DE LA LEUE (13) who has clearly returned to her best. KENYA FLIGNY (7) steps up in category but has placed in 3 of his last 4, starts in front, and will be partnered by Eric Raffin for the first time.

4. LAUREATE SPEED – Got off the mark, at first time of asking, in a 2600m Class F at La Roche-Posay on 21 July. Comes to Pornichet with morale intact and will be no soft touch

5. LILY ROSE D’URFIST – Won over 2650m here before coming 4th of 7 in a 2600m Josselin Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Top pilot in the bike and can keep her Pornichet record perfect

6. LA BOHEME VERTE – Modest 8th of 10 finishers in a 2200m Agon-Coutainville Class F on Monday and the step up in category will show the limit of her capacity

7. LORA SCOTIA – Won on debut before coming good 3rd of 9 in a 2800m Chartres Class E on 30 June, and a similar effort would see her go close once more

8. LINDY D’OURVILLE – Last but one in a 2625m Cherbourg Class E 10 days ago and appears to have a mountain to climb

9. LAYANA DE HOUELLE – Lost her maiden status in a 2300m Redon Class F 2 weeks ago. Takes on some better fillies here but has earned the right to take her chances. Place chance

10. LYPSIE THONIC – 3rd of 8 in a 2475m Royan Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Moves up in category and even with 4 pads fitted, still looks out of her depth

11. LADY ANGELE – 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2775m Class F at Les Sables-d’Olonne mid-July. Is clearly on the way up and, reunited with Benjamin Rochard, can play a leading role

Summary: Eric Raffin has been booked for a host of good horses this afternoon and LILY ROSE D’URFIST (5) is most certainly one in point, winning here superbly last month. It is unlikely to be all plain sailing though considering how well LADY ANGELE (11) comported herself at Les Sables-d’Olonne. LORA SCOTIA (7) is another promising filly that should take well to Pornichet conditions, as is LAYANA DE HOUELLE (9) who got off the mark a fortnight ago.
