Summary: This fascinating and valuable Cross-Country race can go the way of GOLD ALLEN (2), who was a sound winner of his last two starts in this code. HOURVARI BOUM (3) is unbeaten in four attempts in this discipline this year and steps up in grade with every chance. MISS LAURA (6) showed a nice return to form at the end of July and has been preserved for this race since then. IVRESSE D’ESTRUVAL (1) carries a lot of weight but remains competitive for a place at least.

Summary: GALIDAM (1) has not enjoyed the best season thus far but he comes from a powerful yard and is worth siding with on his first start in a claiming race. KIARA DU SEUIL (5) was a winner in this division three starts ago at Clairefontaine and should redeem herself. HARGNAR (7) was unlucky in his first two runs for his new connections but is sure to bounce back soon or later. SECERT DEFENSE (3) was a game second at Nîmes last time out in this division and should be respected.

He can be slightly preferred to PRINCE EXPRESS (3), who is in good form and should be suited by the profile of the track. NEVER RISK (5) is on a competitive mark and comes in this race in real good spirit. JARDIN SECRET (1) carries a lot of weight but he is a tough horse and should not be excluded of the equation.

She can get her hat trick. KIROGA (9) is a threat, he was a decent second at Dieppe last time when beaten narrowly. BLOOMING (1) has won four races in a row and she can not be overlooked. 5. KINDER DU GOUET – Three unplaced runs since a win over 3400m at Angers on February 28th in a Class 3 race. Tries fences and needs a few to falter

6. KASAR – Promise when 2nd over 3900m in a Class 3 hurdle at Saint-Malo on August 22nd on only his second run. Will improve and should make a chaser

7. KOPPA – Unplaced last time, he won before that in a Class 4 hurdle at Dieppe on May 2nd on his debut. Now switches to fences and merits consideration

8. KALKO MANIE – 5th last time, 3rd before that over 3600m in a Class 2 hurdle at Auteuil on February 24th. Chase debut and warrants respect

Summary: KIDNAPPEUR (1) ran a race full of promise when making the switch to fences at Auteuil in mid-June on his latest outing. He looks like the one to be with ahead of the likely main threat KASAR (6) who was a pleasing second over hurdles at Saint-Malo late last month. He should make into a nice chaser. KOPPA (7) looks like a safe option for the each-way backers. KALKO MANIE (8) has form in a Class 2 hurdle at Auteuil when she was third in February and should not be ruled out.

3. LIKE A BOSS – Decent 3rd last time over 2650m on August 25th at St-Jean De Mont credible efforts before that. Player

6. LAGUNE SECRETE – Unplaced twice since a 3rd over 2300m at Montlucon on April 28th. Capable of being in the shake-up

7. LOLIROCK – Two runs so far, 8th at Moulins on the latest over 2400m in a Group 3 AQ race on September 8th. Can make the frame

8. LION BLUE – Newcomer by Roman Candle, stable runners warrant respect and this gelding should be watched in the betting

9. LEWIS DE GRUGY – Newcomer by Barastraight, the dam won 8 races, one on the flat and the rest over fences. From a leading stable and a bold show can be expected

10. L’OR MONSEIGNOR – Unraced gelding by Kingfisher, will likely need this run for experience. The betting can guide

11. LETINCELANT – Newcomer by Ectot, stable runners warrant respect and this gelding should be watched for any market support

12. LIMBLE SEA – Unraced filly by Magneticjim, should improve for this debut run. Monitor the betting market

13. LINOTTE D’AUBRELLE – Unraced filly by Ivanhowe, her trainer can ready a debutante and any market moves should be noted

Summary: LIKE A BOSS (3) has performed well on most of his four runs and was a pleasing third last time in late August. He can edge this over LEWIS DE GRUGY (9) who is making his debut and he looks the part on paper. His dam was a prolific winner on the flat once and over fences seven times. L’AMAZONE (5) can improve from a promising debut at Moulins earlier this month and is one to consider. LOLIROCK (7) is also worth considering.

C1 – PRIX DE GLANVILLE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Mounted – EUR € 21,000

1. LAQUILA WOOD – Moves to the monté discipline after 2 straight sanctions, latterly in a 2750m Class F at La Ferté-Vidame early last month. 4 pads fitted this time but still not an obvious choice

2. LITTLELOU MATIDY – Would have finished in the money had she not faulted in the final stages of a 2175m Vincennes Class D 12 days ago. Hails from a yard firing on all cylinders and is very much in the running for a spot on the podium

3. LIVIA DES LANDES – Yet to show much aptitude for either code, most recently sanctioned in a 2300m Bernay Class E 4 weeks ago, and can be written off

4. LAURIANA BELLA – Has evident talent but sanctioned in 4 of 5, latterly a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 23 August. Adrien Lamy gives her another go but others still preferred

5. LAHORA DES FORGES – 5th of 9 in a 2800m Moulins harness Class F last Sunday. Yet to finish a monté race unscathed and is not about to break the mould

6. LAMBADA DU RIB – Encouraged at Dozulé, beating LOLITA DE MIELOUI (15), before faulting in a 2300m Bernay Class E on 25 August, and seems to be out of her depth

7. LADY DU PERCHE – Flattering 4th of 7, behind LOLITA DE MIELOUI (15) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E a month ago. Fitted with front pads for first time though and should not be too far from the action

8. LAREINE D’OURVILLE – Takes to the monté code for first time after faulting in a 2750m Ecommoy Class F a fortnight ago, and will need to show another side

9. LILIONALLY – 3rd of 14 on racecourse debut, a place behind stablemate LADY DES CHAMPS (11), in a Class E over course and distance on 9 September. Will have come on for the run and must be considered a leading contender

10. LA STORIA – 5th of 14, behind LADY DES CHAMPS (11), in a Class E over track and trip on 9 September. Pads on again but others easier to back this time

11. LADY DES CHAMPS – Showed considerable aptitude on monté debut earlier this month, coming 2nd of 14 in a Class E over course and distance. Has buckets of untapped potential and can get off the mark if Benjamin Rochard keeps her in stride

12. LA SOL FA – Has started to come good, most recently 3rd behind LOLITA DE MIELOUI (15) in a 2750m Cabourg Class E a month ago. Is never far from faulting but is plainly progressing and legitimately takes her chances

13. LENOLA DE CORTEM – Made up for her Dozulé performance when coming 2nd of 5 finishers in a 2300m Bernay Class E on 25 August. Takes a notable step up in category though and chances appear limited

14. LICORNE DE LA JOIE – 3rd of 10 finishers in a 2750m Cabourg Class F early-August. Is a different horse since switching codes and while unlikely to open her account, can nevertheless finish in the mix

15. LOLITA DE MIELOUI – 2nd under the saddle at Cabourg before finishing 9th of 11 in a 2550m Dieppe harness Class E conditioner early this month, and will be no pushover if she can replicate August’s performance

Summary: Dominik Locqueneux presents 2 good runners here and while recent monté debutante LADY DES CHAMPS (11) beat LILIONALLY (9) on their respective monté debuts, it would be no surprise to see the tables turned. Despite being sanctioned on her recent racecourse debut, LITTLELOU MATIDY (2) would have finished in the money had she stayed in stride and should not be too hastily-judged. Ideally-entered at the limit of earnings, LOLITA DE MIELOUI (15) is reunited with Alexis Collette and a repeat of her Cabourg performance would see her finish close.

C2 – PRIX DE DARNETAL – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000

1. LOU DU DERBY – Unseen since finishing last of 7 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F 2 months ago, and has no possible chance

2. LIPINSKA – Encouraged at Graignes early-August before losing her action in a 2500m Reims Class F 3 weeks ago. Is not without merit but bites off more than she can chew this time

3. LOLA DU CAMPUS – 10th of 13 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 2 weeks ago. Is significantly better than that though, has a lot going for her here, and is eminently capable of lifting a race of this category

4. LADY BECO – Imposed at Saint-Malo mid-August before being subject to interference, being sanctioned, in a 2050m Cabourg Class E 3.5 weeks ago, but can more than make amends if his driver keeps her out of trouble

5. LOREALE DESBOCHARD – Has struggled since winning at Vibraye mid-August, most recently finishing last but one, after faulting, in a 2800m Chartres Class E 8 days ago. Sports front pads this time but chances still limited

6. LADY DU CEDRE – Made good on her promise 3 weeks ago, winning a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F. Moves to a hard surface, with a top driver in the bike, and will be expected to make a big impact

7. LORELEI DE REUX – Lost her maiden status late-July then ran 4th of 11 in a 2550m Dieppe Class E on 2 September. Clearly has more to offer, should appreciate Caen conditions, and is unlikely to be far from the action

8. LIAISON MESLOISE – Surprising 4th of 10 in a 2050m Cabourg Class E 3.5 weeks ago. Sports front pads for the occasion and will not be available at 49/1 this time

9. LICORNVERASPERANZA – Got off the mark at Agon on 18 August before coming 5th of 10 in a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago. Gives this a go with pads fitted for the occasion but still looks no more than a minor place chance

10. LADY ANGELE – Consistent type that finished 4th of 7 in a 2725m Pornichet Class E late last month. Races right-handed for first time and will have her chances if she turns

11. LADY VICTORY – 8th of 10, behind LICORNVERASPERANZA (9), when being conditioned in a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago, but appears to need another run

12. LUSITANIA – Tricky but capable sort making first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2050m Cabourg Class E early-July. Pads off this time but first needs to get her house in order

Summary: Winner at Saint-Malo mid-August, before enduring some hard luck a fortnight later, LADY BECO (4) sports front pads this time and with Alexis Collette in the bike, can set the record straight. He will still be keeping a keen eye on the promising and padded LOLA DU CAMPUS (3) who is set to be reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois, and recent provincial winner LADY DU CEDRE (6) who steps up in category with front pads fitted and Franck Nivard reining. LORELEI DE REUX (7) has been showing her potential and moves up in category with a decent chance of trotting her way into the frame.

1. KIKI MANCEAU – Unremarkable character that was sanctioned in a 3025m Montier-en-Der harness Class H 2 weeks ago and already looks out of his depth

2. KRISTAL DE BUSSET – 8th of 9, on return to competition, in a 2650m harness Class G at Les Sables-d’Olonne a month ago, and will have nothing to contribute

3. KIR BLOND – Sanctioned in a 2625m harness Class H at Saint-Jean-de-Monts 2 weeks ago and appears to have no realistic chance

4. KOSCO DES TITHAIS – Pleased at Domfront before finishing 9th of 11 in a 2800m Moulins harness Class F a fortnight ago. Races barefoot for the occasion but, at this level, will have limited chances

5. KOCKLYN DU BARBEY – Takes first competitive monté steps after trotting 5th of 12 in a 2550m Dieppe Class F last Saturday, but will not find this an easy task

6. KITO DUNGY – 8th of 10, on return from a spell, in a 2300m Redon harness Class F 3 weeks ago. Reverts to racing with front pads but still no more than a minor place prospect

7. KING DE MAHEY – Quality individual that ran 3rd of 8 in a 2100m harness Class G at Le Touquet 3 weeks ago and, if form transitions, should have the wherewithal to win this

8. KEL CHARME FOU – Has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot, most recently 2nd of 9 in a 2475m Niort Class F last Sunday, and should again be competitive for victory

9. KAWA DU MATIN – Encouraged at Bagnoles-de-l’Orne before finishing last of 9 in a 2475m Niort Class F last weekend and, even racing first-time barefoot, is unlikely to spring any surprises

10. KIF DU BOIS – Last but one in a 2400m Ploublay harness Class F a fortnight ago. Returns to the code for which he has shown little aptitude and, front pads fitted or not, can be passed over

11. KOKTAIL D’ETHAN – Imposed at Bagnoles-de-l’Orne in July before coming a disappointing 6th of 7, behind KING HAUFOR (17), in a 2725m Pornichet Class F mid-August. Receives a notable weight allowance and can get back in the game

12. KID DE GUINETTE – Placed twice before stepping up in category and finishing 9th of 11 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F mid-August, which is not going to cut the mustard

13. KENZO D’HUCHELOUP – Won 2 of 3 under the saddle before finishing last of 10 in a 2800m Bernay harness Class E conditioner late last month. In this company though, will struggle to make his mark

14. KISCOOL DU GOLLIER – 3rd of 6 in a 2950m Toulouse Class F on his return to the discipline 8 days ago. Sports 4 pads for first time and is not to be underestimated

15. KOSTO DU BANOU – 9th of 10 in a 3250m harness Class F at Saint-Ouen-des-Toits a fortnight ago. Is better than recent numbers would suggest and sports a fresh formula with a reasonable chance of making first 5

16. KENT SOYER – Placed in last 2, latterly 3rd of 8 in a 2500m harness Class F at Bihorel-lès-Rouen 2 weeks ago, and debuts in the discipline with legitimate ambition

17. KING HAUFOR – Returns to the code after trotting 6th of 13 in a 2000m Rambouillet harness Class F last Sunday, and the engagement of Adrien Lamy will only enhance his prospects

18. KURT KILY – Showed improvement last Monday when 4th of 10 finishers in a 2800m Vire Class F. Alexis Collette in the saddle this time and is unlikely to be too far off the mark

Summary: Having shown sufficient talent under harness, KING DE MAHEY (7) takes his opening public steps in the monté code and, freshly-configured with Benjamin Rochard on board, can impose at the first time of asking. KEL CHARME FOU (8) on the other hand, has solid references to fall back on and, in current condition, is not incapable of losing his maiden tag. KING HAUFOR (17) made a respectable ridden debut mid-August and should have a better chance this time. KENT SOYER (16) has frequently gone close this year under harness and switches codes with a realistic chance of finishing in the frame.

1. LEXUS DE GUIBRAY – 3rd on debut before being sanctioned twice, most recently faulting when well-supported in a 2800m Cholet Class G 8 days ago. This time however, is a rank outsider

2. LYS DU RIB – Placed twice before finishing a disappointing 7th of 8 finishers in a 2850m Laval Class F a fortnight ago. Has yet to deliver racing right-handed and others preferred

3. LOGO MAJYC – Has not been seen out since making short work of a 2300m Le Mans Class F on debut last May. May be a race shy but must still be taken seriously

4. LARRY DU DOUBS – Won a 2850m Laval Class G on 25 August. Makes his Caen debut with morale intact and Lebourgeois has unsurprisingly let go LEADER TURGOT (10) in favour of this one. Claim

5. LATHOS DE VIVOIN – Won nicely on debut before running 2nd of 11 in a 2850m Bréhal Class E late-July, beaten only by a very good horse, and should logically play another competitive role

6. LOOK D’HERMES – 3rd of 9 in a 2275m Craon Class E 3 weeks ago. Is plainly improving, receives a Benjamin Rochard drive for the occasion, and could well win his 2nd of the season

7. LOOKING BEST – Last of 8, on return from his layoff, in a 2150m Argentan Class E early last month. Placed here earlier in the year and if race-fit, can get a look-in

8. LET’S GO VAL – Got off the mark in a 2650m Portbail Class F on 11 August but has been aimed high here and would be preferred a level down

9. LOKI FACTIER – 4th at Cabourg before faulting early in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E 9 days ago. Is no star but is still worth monitoring

10. LEADER TURGOT – Quickly sanctioned when prohibitive favourite in a 2050m Cabourg Class E a month ago. Adrien Lamy replaces Lebourgeois and should not be too far from the action if he can keep him trotting

11. LUIGI PAULCA – Has hardly put a foot wrong since his May debut, latterly coming a good 3rd of 8 in a Class E over course and distance on 9 September. Is a progressive colt and is not about to let the side down

12. LORD EOLE – Back under harness after faulting in a 2175m Vincennes monté Class D 11 days ago. Has evident ability, sports 4 pads for the occasion, and the engagement of Franck Nivard will do his prospects no disservice

13. LEADER DU MOUCHEL – Failed to confirm her Châteaubriant performance when 7th of 10 in a 2850m Laval Class E 3 weeks ago. Is back racing clockwise and, given the opportunity, can play a small part

Summary: Comfortable winner at Laval late last month, LARRY DU DOUBS (4) returns to racing right-handed, with hind pads fitted and Yoann Lebourgeois reining, and will be expected to confirm. LOOK D’HERMES (6), however, took his game to a new level earlier this month and makes his Caen debut with a good hand to play. LATHOS DE VIVOIN (5) has been a thorough professional so far and even though in better company this time, still looks a player. Clearly versatile and in fine fettle, LUIGI PAULCA (11) will once again be expected to be competitive for a place.

C5 – PRIX D’ANNEBECQ – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 21,000

1. KIZIA STAR – Put a quartet of sanctions behind her when 2nd of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class F earlier in the month. No Raffin reining this time but, from the front row, can still get a look-in

2. KELOWNA – Never far from faulting, which she did in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F 3 weeks ago, but has evident ability and with Franck Nivard reining, will be afforded every chance

3. KARANGA – 7th of 11 in a 2800m Class F at Villedieu-les-Poëles last Sunday. Has done nothing of note for some time and is not about to buck the trend

4. KELLE NANA – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly a 2550m Dieppe Class F earlier this month, but has a good entry, bags of ability, and with application can expect to find herself in the mix at the finish

5. KERAMIDA – Unexceptional filly with no love for Caen and most recent 6th of 7 in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F last weekend is not enough to be considered a player

6. KORAYA EFBE – Failed to confirm her Dozulé victory when last but one in a 2750m Cabourg Class E on 13 August and cannot be considered a priority

7. KESSY MADRIK – Reassuring 3rd of 9 in a 2800m Villedieu-les-Poëles Class F 3 weeks ago, and can expect to find this a tough ask

8. KELLY RAIN – Unremarkable 6th of 13, behind KISS ME BEJI (10), in a 2800m Vire Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Races shod this time and others easier to back

9. KIMBILA – Last of 7 in a 2600m Class F at Le Touquet mid-August. Is not without merit, and reverts to a previous configuration, but others still preferred

10. KISS ME BEJI – Showed improvement at Vire earlier this month when 4th of 13 in a 2800m Class E. Won her only start at the venue but the extra 25m to travel will do her no favours

11. KORALIA DE CROUAY – Returns to racing right-handed after coming 9th of 11 in a 2100m Vincennes Class D late last month. More competitively-shod this time and the engagement of Benjamin Rochard will do her prospects no disservice. Claim

12. KORIGANE D’ERABLE – Back at the top of her game, most recently winning a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel, in good order, 2 weeks ago. Shoes back on, and breaks with a handicap, but still represents a respectable first-5 chance

13. KENZA SUPREME – Unseen since faulting, when full of running, in a 2050m Cabourg Class D in early-July. Has talent to burn and even with shoes on, looks a serious proposition

14. KERIDA BEST – 2nd of 11, at 103/1, in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago. Shoes on this time and not a contender

15. KEA DES RACQUES – 5th of 13 in a 2150m Enghien Class D in early-July. Races shod for re-entry and best to hold off

16. KADIJA MESLOISE – Made it 4 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2700m Vincennes Class D a fortnight ago. Is clearly in form though and, if focused, can finish close

17. KISS ME DU LIVET – Has 3 races under her belt since the break, most recently 6th of 12 in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E a fortnight ago, but still has more to find

18. KIMMERIDGIENNE – Makes first appearance since winning a 2100m Vincennes Class E late-May. Shoes on and will not be given a hard race

Summary: Most of the big-hitters are on the back line here, with the complicated but talented KORALIA DE CROUAY (11) sporting a new configuration and, with Benjamin Rochard reining this time, looks the one to beat. That said, KENZA SUPREME (13) has won 2 of her last 4, returns fresh from a spell, and even racing barefoot looks a player. Even though a handful at the best of times, KADIJA MESLOISE (16) has won 3 of the 5 races she has finished and, if behaved, will be no easy touch. KELLE NANA (4) reverts to a successful formula, is 25m better off, and will not be far from the action if Thomas Levesque can keep her trotting.

C6 – PRIX DE MORTREE – 2450m (a1m1/2) – Class F Race – Mounted – EUR € 21,000

1. JIRALDA – 7th of 9 to JINGER (4) in a 2800m Vire Class F 2.5 weeks ago and, in current condition, will have few friends

2. JAMBA DE GLADJESS – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently a 2800m Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles last Sunday, and can be confidently ruled out

3. JAYENNE – Moves back to the monté code after winning a 2400m Ploublay harness Class H 2 weeks ago. Has yet to make her mark in the discipline though and even with Adrien Lamy on board, will still have too much to do

4. JINGER – Got off the mark, at 25th time of asking, in a 2800m Vire Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Beat JARKA DE BEYLEV (14) that day but looks more a minor place chance this time

5. JOSY D’OCCAGNES – Last of 7 when being prepared for this in a 2725m Pornichet Class F on 29 August. Shoes on again and will have nothing to contribute

6. JISKAYA DE GREZ – Defied her 73/1 to come 3rd of 14 in a 2750m Cabourg Class F 3.5 weeks ago and must be taken more seriously this time. Place chance

7. JULIA BONHEUR – Has 2 races under her belt since the break, most recently sanctioned [on her way to coming 5th] in a 2800m Vire Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Barefoot on this occasion but takes on a tougher lot this time

8. JASMINE DE L’AVRE – 8th of 11 in a 2850m Class H at Bagnoles-de-l’Orne late last month, but ran 3rd here in June, goes barefoot for the occasion, and the engagement of Thibaut Dromigny will do her prospects no harm

9. JUSTYBILIE DU LUOT – 5th here 12 days ago before finishing last but one in a 2800m Class H at Villedieu-les-Poëles last Sunday. Has merit but may just be biting off more than she can chew

10. JOIE DE VIVRE – Showed marked improvement on her Cabourg performance when 2nd of 8 in a 2400m Amiens Class F a fortnight ago. Hind shoes off this time and, already a course-and-distance winner, looks a leading contender

11. JASMINE DU BOCAGE – Has acquitted herself decently in last 2 monté starts, latterly 5th behind JOIE DE VIVRE (10) in a 2400m Amiens Class F 2 weeks ago. Shoes off this time and looks an interesting outside chance

12. JORDANIE – Last but one, behind JALISCA DE CHENU (16), in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne 2 weeks ago. More competitively-shod on this occasion and, entrusted to Benjamin Rochard for first time, must not be underestimated

13. JOYEUSE STED – Back under the saddle after 3 solid harness performances, latterly 3rd of 7 in a 2550m Class E at Beaumont-de-Lomagne earlier this month. Has yet to make her mark in the code but benefits from having a capable rider in the irons

14. JARKA DE BEYLEV – Tricky but talented mare that was just pipped by JINGER (4) in a 2800m Vire Class F 2.5 weeks ago. Has good references here and, with application, can win this

15. JAKARTA MADRIK – Useful under the saddle when applied, and returns to the code after coming 6th of 9 in a 2550m Dieppe harness Class F 12 days ago. Barefoot for the occasion, is an honest mare and, with some luck in running, can pick up a cheque

16. JALISCA DE CHENU – Has progressed lately, latterly 5th of 9 in a 2775m Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne a fortnight ago. Is confirmed at this level but appears to be facing a stiff test this time around

17. JAVA DES CHAMPS – Debuts in the discipline after coming 6th of 8 finishers in a 2550m Gournay-en-Bray Class F 3 weeks ago. Is never far from surprising though and must be afforded significant respect

Summary: Capricious she may be but when focused JARKA DE BEYLEV (14) is a tough individual and has a good opportunity to finally get that maiden monkey off her back. She will still meet resistance from the hardy and reconfigured JOIE DE VIVRE (10) who has taken to the monté code like a duck to water, and the nicely-entered JAVA DES CHAMPS (17) who takes her first competitive monté steps with the useful Victor Saussaye on board. JISKAYA DE GREZ (6) encouraged with a fine run at Cabourg last time and, with form maintained, can again figure prominently.

1. KAID DES LANDES – Sanctioned in all 3 starts to date, most recently a 2800m VIre Class F last Monday, and can expect to have few friends

2. KICK DES LANDES – Pleasant in last 2, latterly 4th of 12 in a 2550m Dieppe Class F last Saturday, but is being aimed too high this time

3. KINDER DANOVER – Reassured at Gournay-en-Bray before finishing last but one in a 2800m Vire Class F last Monday and can be confidently passed over

4. KRONOS DE TROIS – Disappointing for past 18 months, most recently last but one in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 12 September, and is again out of his depth

5. KRALL DE CORDAY – Placed in 3 of 4 before finishing 7th of 12, behind KOITRO DE QUERY (7), in a 2550m Dieppe Class F early this month. Steps up in category but is not to be ruled out

6. KELLER DE L’ITON – Has not been seen out since faulting in a 2150m Vichy Class E late-May. Has talent to burn and will be expected to figure prominently if Bruno Beaucamp can keep him trotting

7. KOITRO DE QUERY – Races barefoot for first time after coming 5th of 12 in a 2550m Dieppe Class F early this month. Not a priority but is good enough to make his presence felt

8. KINGSTON DES HAYES – Lost his maiden status in a 2850m Bréhal Class F a month ago. On front row this time, has been held back for this excellent entry, and Danny Stoehr will be eager to capitalise

9. KORIOLIS DE ZIETTE – Has gone from strength to strength since the start of the summer, opening his account [by default] mid-July in a 2725m Pornichet Class F. Has not been seen out since but will have been kept ticking over. Attention

10. KYLEBEAU DU LUOT – Serious sort that came 4th of 11 in a 2600m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel on 18 August. Secured his last success with the day’s driver and has a realistic chance of repeating

11. KEOPS DU BUHOT – Off the boil this term despite having shown early promise, most recently 7th of 10, a place behind KATSUKI (15), in a 2100m Vincennes Class D a month back. Shoes on and no danger

12. KRYSTAL DU RUEL – Did not enjoy the best of trips when sanctioned in a 2550m Cherbourg Class B a month ago. Is shod this time, has references at a superior level and, even from the 2nd line, must be respected

13. KART HAUFOR – Quality element starting for first time since coming 2nd of 11 in a 2875m Enghien Class D last March, and will need the run

14. KOUROUX – Got back in the game at Vire earlier this month, coming 3rd of 9 in a 2800m Class E. Is clearly on the way up and has the wherewithal to fight out the finish here

15. KATSUKI – Unthreatening 7th of 13 in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E on 12 September. On back line again and chances limited

16. KANAK DU BOCAGE – Honest sort making first appearance since being sanctioned in a 2175m Vincennes Class C early-June and, shod for the occasion, will not pose a threat

17. KRONOS D’ERPION – Kicked the year off well before losing his way, latterly 11th of 13, behind KATSUKI (15), in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E 9 days ago, and needs to reassure

18. KRACKSMAN – Unraced since winning a 2200m Vincennes monté Class D on 9 April. Has other priorities and can be passed over

Summary: A relatively open event with 2 in particular standing out, and each forced to start on the back line. KYLEBEAU DU LUOT (10) has taken his game to a new level since starting to race barefoot and is plainly close to his race. KOUROUX (14) made up at Vire for his Cabourg blip and, re-configured with Benjamin Rochard at the helm, will not go down easily. Ideally-engaged on the front line, KORIOLIS DE ZIETTE (9) may not have been seen out for 2 months but he has solid right-handed references and can get straight back in the game. Rewarded with victory last time out, KINGSTON DES HAYES (8) steps up in category and deserves to take his chances.

1. I LOVE JAM – Modest individual that came in 11th of 15 in a Class E at Le Touquet 3 weeks ago and can be confidently disregarded

2. HARABICA – Races barefoot after finishing last of 13, when preparing for this, in a 2200m Class D here on Wednesday, and backs up with nothing to offer

3. ICE DREAM ROYAL – 12th of 14 in a 2525m Les Andelys claimer 3 weeks ago. Has been out of sorts since January and, even with shoes off, has no possible chance

4. ILLICO D’ORME – Returns to racing unshod-behind after coming 4th of 9 in a 2450m Jarnac Class F early this month, however a repeat seems improbable

5. ILTON BEAUREGARD – Less sharp since imposing at Abbeville 2 months back, latterly 7th of 10 in a 2800m Tours Class F 3 weeks ago. Front pads fitted this time but others still preferred

6. ICARE DES HAYES – Not the most dependable but came 3rd of 10 in a 3200m Landivisiau Class E 3 weeks ago. Takes on many better horses here and not an obvious choice this time

7. IDAHO D’ACADIE – Unraced since faulting in a 2650m Avignon Class F 4 months ago and can be ruled out

8. ITAC DE PICDOM – Sanctioned in 2 before finishing 7th of 10 in an 1800m Class F at La Capelle on 4 September and is is unlikely to generate much interest

9. INDY FOUTEAU – 7th of 11, when preparing for this, in a 3000m Châteaubriant amateurs Class G 2 weeks ago. Races barefoot for first time this season and, from the front row, is unlikely to let the side down

10. ITON DES LANDES – Oddly out of sorts when last but one in a 2550m Dieppe Class F on Wednesday. Sports a revised configuration for the occasion, is ideally-engaged, and must be afforded respect

11. HERCULE DE L’OISON – 9th of 12 in a 2800m Class E at Villedieu-les-Poëles last weekend. Shoes back on and will have few takers

12. HORACE DU VIVIER – Made it 5 straight sanctions when faulting in a 2750m Pornichet Class F mid-August and is not a concern

13. IRMINIO KILY – 5th of 14 in a 2775m Craon Class E earlier this month. Went close last time here and, in the hands of his trainer, is not going to be far off the mark

14. INCA – Comfortably won a 2700m Class F at Le Croisé-Laroche 12 days ago. Pleased on lone start with Benjamin Rochard and is not incapable of confirming

15. HIBISCUS NORMAND – In the frame in 3 before finishing 6th of 13 in a 2950m Vichy Class E last Saturday. 25m worse off on this occasion but at this level could pleasantly surprise

16. IN PETTO – Debuts at the venue after trotting 3rd of 8 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F a month ago. Has references racing clockwise and, in this company, will have his chances

17. IGUAL BLUE – Serious sort that finished a solid 3rd of 8 in a 2625m Cherbourg Class F early-August. Entrusted to Lebourgeois for first time and can finally open his 2024 account

18. IDEAL DU BOUILLON – Last but one in a 2850m Laval Class E a fortnight ago. Has otherwise been in decent shape, but has little love for the venue and a minor place chance at best

Summary: Held back for this excellent entry after a convincing performance at La Rochelle, IGUAL BLUE (17) will be reined by Yoann Lebourgeois for the occasion and, runner-up in both of his Caen excursions, he looks the pick of the lot. He will be opposed though by the rejuvenated and reconfigured INCA (14) who has already won at the venue, and IN PETTO (16) who produced a reassuringly-good performance at Cherbourg a month ago. IRMINIO KILY (13) has been acquitting himself well over recent months and his handler takes over the reins this time.

18. JOTUNN DU DOME – Disqualified in class D at Vincennes over 2100m on 26 August. Won well in July and can repeat if smart

Summary: JOTUNN DU DOME (18) looked like a possible winner when he lost his stride near the finish line at Vincennes last month and is on a redemption mission this Saturday. He is the pick ahead of JOLYDOLE (11) who has been in the form of her life recently. JUST A DREAM (12) runs barefoot and is always effective over this sort of distance. He should have the measure of HELLO KERODA (5) who has an ideal starting position on the front row and HIPPY DE LA COUDRE (7) who runs without his shoes this time. HERMES LUDOIS (15) should come on a lot for his comeback run and is another one that be involved at the finish.

Summary: ILMENITE (9) is ideally entered on the front row in this modest line-up and with the assistance of Gabriele Gelormini, he should be able to resume winning ways. ILLUSTRE SAX (1) is a very capable trotter when he is in the mood and it could be risky to ignore him. IMPARTIAL (13) has been in good form in recent weeks and although he is more performing on turf, he can make the frame here.
