GIORGIO M LOOKSSMART AT LINGFIELD

Fine Form
Giorgio M LI – 1.45
looks a dangerous proposition in the BetMGM: It’s Showtime Handicap at Lingfield after slipping back to his previous winning mark.
The four-year-old has finished in the top four in four of his last eight races since entering the winner’s enclosure in July.
The son of Profitable claimed victory over seven furlongs, which is the distance he will race over at the Surrey venue, at Wolverhampton on a mark of 75 before shooting up 6lbs for the one-and-three-quarter length triumph.
The George Boughey-trained bay has been competitive ever since, but his mark has now returned to 75 and will be threating to take the spoils.
Almaty Star LI – 2.20
aims to maintain his fine form on the all-weather when attempting to land the Free Bets With BetUK Bet Club Handicap.
Robert Cowell’s five-year-old sprinter drops down in grade after last appearing in a Class Three on the turf at Chester in September.
However, the polytrack at Lingfield seems to suit the son of Kodiac as he boasts two seconds and a win in three appearances at the track.
In nine career starts on the all-weather, Almaty Star has finished in the top three on seven occasions and should be in the mix once again.
Charlie Appleby has an interesting entry in the £30 In Free Bets With BetUK Maiden Stakes.
Tribal Act LI – 12.45
was slow away on debut at Kempton last month, but rallied back to eventually finish seven lengths behind stablemate Aegean Prince in fifth.
He drops back slightly in trip to one mile and two furlongs on his second appearance and a better start could aid his bid to shed his maiden tag.
Darlo Pride NC – 5.15
aims to maintain his brilliant form for Michael Dods in the Weekly £5 Free Bet With BetUK Handicap at Newcastle.
The five-year-old has shone since switching from Anthony Carson to Denton Hall in September, recording two successes and four places on his last six starts.
Four of those results have come at Gosforth Park and home comforts should suit over five furlongs once again.
Parkland NC – 4.45
targets his first career victory in the Win £1M With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Novice Stakes.
Andrew Balding’s four-year-old has not been since finishing in midfield in a hot race at Doncaster in May and has since been gelded.
The son of Wootton Bassett came third and second respectively on his first two starts on the all-weather at Chelmsford and Kempton with the latter race won by none other than 2000 Guineas winner Notable Speech.
So a return to the surface at Newcastle could be the tonic for Parkland to get his nose in front.
Alexander James NC – 4.45
hopes to complete a quickfire double at Gosforth Park in the Bet £10 Get £40 At BetMGM Classified Stakes.
The Michael Herrington-trained nine-year-old won over a mile on the tapeta earlier this month and remains at the same mark, although he is dropping down to seven furlongs this time around.
