R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE LA CAPELLE – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000

  1. LALUNA DES FORGES – Has merit but sanctioned in last 2, most recently a 2150m Cagnes Class E 2 weeks ago. Can play a small role though if Romain Derieux gets her off on the right foot
  2. LAMTARA BUISSONAY – Ran 3rd over inner course before running 2nd of 14 to LUNA DE MALAC (13) in a Class E over course and distance on 21 December. Races first-time barefoot and should be good enough to pick up a first-5 cheque
  3. LADY DU POMMEREUX – 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2100m claimer over inner track on 6 January. Races barefoot this time but in this company will have too much to do
  4. LOUISA D’ATOUT – Useful type but has not been seen out since coming 6th of 11 finishers in a 2825m Chartres Class E on 4 November, and will not be given a hard race
  5. LIBERTINE ECAJEUL – Showed serious form after being sanctioned in a 2100m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Races barefoot, with Eric Raffin in the bike this time, and should not be underestimated
  6. LYLOU DES THUYAS – Unremarkable filly that finished last but one behind LINNA DE VANDEL (9) in a 2700m Class D here earlier in the month and poses no danger
  7. LINKIA DES APRES – 10th under these conditions last month before running a 59/1 2nd of 13 in a 2100m Class E here 2 weeks ago. A repeat, however, seems improbable
  8. LONDON DELO – Reconfigured after coming 10th of 11 finishers behind LINNA DE VANDEL (9) in a 2700m Class D here earlier in the month. Has yet to deliver over the main track and cannot be considered more than an outsider
  9. LINNA DE VANDEL – 7th of 15 in a 2700m Class D here on 6 January when denied a run. Is plainly in excellent shape though and can apply the pressure on JMB’s horse if kept out of trouble
  10. LEGENDE SEVEN – Put on quite the show to win a 2850m Class E here on 10 January. The boss in the bike this time and can expect to garner the lion’s share of support
  11. LUMIERE DU CHENE – 7th of 15 in a 2700m Class C here a month ago. Has the chance to race barefoot this time and can begin to show her true potential. Place chance
  12. L’HAVANA D’ELMA – Sanctioned early in a 2700m Class D here on 6 January. Hind shoes off this time but others still preferred
  13. LUNA DE MALAC – Won a Class E over course and distance on 21 December, her first start for 2 months. Returns to the venue with morale intact and, with Mathieu Mottier in the bike again, will be no pushover
  14. LADY D’ECAJEUL – Just missed out on 3rd place in a 2100m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Is clearly progressing and is unlikely to be far from the action
  15. LOURGA – Nicely-entered here and reconfigured for just her 2nd start back after finishing 11th of 16 behind LADY D’ECAJEUL (14) in a 2100m Class D here 3 weeks ago, but will still need the race
Summary: Terrific winner over the short course earlier this month, LEGENDE SEVEN (10) steps up in category but will be reined by JMB this time and is expected to double up. That said, the freshly-configured LINNA DE VANDEL (9) was very unlucky last time out and Alexandre Abrivard will be eager to put things right. LUNA DE MALAC (13) was given a great drive by Mathieu Mottier here last month and with hind shoes off for the occasion, will be no shrinking violet. Barefoot for the first time in her career, the promising LUMIERE DU CHENE (11) is unlikely to let the side down.

    C2 – PRIX DE MAISONS-LAFFITTE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class A Race – Harness – EUR € 51,000
  16. MAVINA DES ETANGS – Unplaced on debut before being sanctioned in a 2850m Class A here on Christmas Day and will have nothing to offer
  17. MERYTATON – Sanctioned in both starts over the main track but would have picked up a cheque in last weekend’s race of reference had she not lost her action. On better behaviour can start to put things right. First 5
  18. MAMMA MIA – Flattering 4th of 5 finishers to MILLE ETOILES (9) in a Class B under these conditions last weekend and is unlikely to cause an upset
  19. MANHATTAN RAIN – Got off the mark with ease in a 2100m Class C over the short course 11 days ago. Is untried over the main track but can play a leading role if she takes to the new profile
  20. MADEMOISELLE JANE – 3rd of 5 finishers to MILLE ETOILES (9) in a Class B under these conditions last weekend, on her first appearance over the main track, and can again finish close,
  21. MISSANDEI – 2nd in a Class B before coming 7th of 9 finishers behind MUSCADE LEMAN (8) in a Gr.2 over course and distance mid-December. Has freshness on her side and will have her chances if she gets off on the right foot
  22. MIRATISSIME – Yet to make her mark over main course, latterly sanctioned in a 2175m Gr.2 a fortnight ago, and will have few takers
  23. MUSCADE LEMAN – 5th in a Gr.2 before coming 2nd of 6 finishers in a 2850m Class A over the short course on Christmas Day. Cannot be considered a priority but can still pick up a cheque
  24. MILLE ETOILES – Highly-impressive winner of a Class B under these conditions last weekend. Steps up in category but still looks the pick of the field
Summary: Just 385 Euros from elimination and facile winner over course and distance a week ago, MILLE ETOILES (9) is easy to recommend for the double. MISSANDEI (6) takes a dip in category after a respectable but uneasy run at Gr.2 level, and looks the main threat. Back in business after having been entrusted to Eric Raffin, MANHATTAN RAIN (4) will be no pushover.

    C3 – PRIX DE PARDIEU – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Gr2 Race – Mounted – EUR € 120,000
  25. LOVELY CHENEVIERE – Sanctioned in Prix de Vincennes before coming 2nd of 11 in a Class B over course and distance 3 weeks ago and can be ruled out
  26. LAMBADA DU GOUTIER – Has ample ability but tricky at the best of times, most recently sanctioned in 5 January race of reference and is unlikely to play an active role
  27. LISBONNE DRY – 3rd in Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes prior to repeating, a place behind LOVISSIME (4), in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien here 2 weeks ago. Has been freshly-reconfigured for the occasion but others still easier to back
  28. LOVISSIME – In the frame in 3 of 4 this term, most recently 2nd of 11 in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien here 2 weeks ago. Unlikely to bring home the bacon but can still make her presence felt
  29. LA JOYEUSE WICZ – Makes just 2nd appearance under the saddle, and sports a fresh configuration, after finishing last but one in a 2700m Gr.2 harness conditioner here on 5 January, and is unlikely to be far off the mark
  30. LUCKY JACKSON – Uneasy 10th of 12 in a 2700m Gr.2 here a fortnight ago. Can be forgiven that run and, returning to his conditions of preference, can make this his own
  31. LUTIN DES BORDES – In the frame in last 2, most recently 2nd of 8 finishers in 2700m Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes on 15 December, and his place is once again on the podium
  32. LITTLE ORELIE – Courageous 4th of 8 finishers behind LOVISSIME (4) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix d’Enghien here 2 weeks ago. Races barefoot again and looks a more serious player this time around
Summary: Terrific winner of the Gr.2 Prix Raoul Ballière earlier this winter, LUCKY JACKSON (6) has now won twice over course and distance and, sporting a fresh configuration, can wrap this up. Runner-up to him that day before repeating in the Gr.1 Prix de Vincennes mid-December, LUTIN DES BORDES (7) races unshod-behind and can again play an important role, but may first have to defer to LITTLE ORELIE (8) who reassured here earlier in the month.

    C4 – PRIX DE GRANVILLE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 68,000
  33. HOCKFELER DU MESLE – Returns to Vincennes on a hat-trick after winning (dead-heat) a 2850m Class C here on New Year’s Day. Trainer back in the bike and although unlikely to pull it off, can still get in on the action
  34. HOLERO LOVE – Sanctioned in a Class C over course and distance on Christmas Eve and will have nothing to offer
  35. ISOFOU DU CHENE – Left quite the impression when clinching victory in a Class C over course and distance on Christmas Eve. Seldom puts a foot wrong when barefoot here and looks the one to beat
  36. ILAYA – Reassuring winner of a Class C under these conditions 3 weeks ago. Steps up in category and while not a player, can still get a look-in
  37. HASUR DAIRPET – Drops marginally in category after finishing 8th of 12 behind HARISON DU PLESSIS (12) in a 2100m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Sent out reconfigured and is worth keeping an eye on
  38. HERALDIQUE – Quality element making first start since finishing 10th of 15 in a Class B under these conditions last October. Hind pads fitted and will need the run
  39. HABIT DE SOIREE – Failed to confirm December victory when 9th of 16 in a 2100m Class B here last Sunday and would be preferred a level down
  40. ISTER MAN – Quality element that made short work of a 2550m Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class A early last month. Imposed under these conditions last time here and will be expected to contest the finish
  41. HOLLYWOOD DU BOIS – Well-beaten before being disqualified in a 2650m Bordeaux monte Class C 3 weeks ago. Has references here, and sports modified shoeing, but others still preferred
  42. HASARD D’ERABLE – Ran 3rd here before being sanctioned in a 2700m Class B, also here, 2.5 weeks ago. Unlikely to get his nose in front but is still capable of making first 5
  43. HAITIAN FIGHT SONG – Comfortable winner of a 2850m Class C here a month ago. Sports a new configuration for the occasion, has yet to disappoint on main track, and even though in better company this time, could still pleasantly surprise
  44. HARISON DU PLESSIS – Runner-up in last 2, latterly a 2100m Class A here a fortnight ago. Well-entered this time and must be considered a serious contender
  45. GAZOLINE DU SEUX – Showed the limits of her capacity when 13th of 16 behind HABIT DE SOIREE (7) in a 2100m Class B here last Sunday and can be passed over
  46. IDEAL SAN LEANDRO – Group-class trotter that was quickly sanctioned in a 2925m Cagnes Gr.3 9 days ago. Björn Goop at the helm this time and will have his chances if he can keep his charge focused
Summary: Three times a winner here in his last 5 starts, ISOFOU DU CHENE (3) most recently dominated a fine horse under these conditions and has every chance of confirming. The globetrotting IDEAL SAN LEANDRO (14) enjoys a fine entry here and should not be too hastily-judged for his recent sanction. HARISON DU PLESSIS (12) simply excels with Eric Raffin and is plainly close to his race, while ISTER MAN (8) will be a tough nut to crack if he stays in stride.

    C5 – PRIX ROXANE GRIFF – 2850m (a2m) – Class C Race – Mounted – EUR € 46,000
  47. EMMA JET – 4th of 16, on French debut, in a 2850m harness Class D here early last month. Takes first competitive monte steps with a decent chance of making the frame
  48. CAVIAR FROM MINE – 5th of 10 finishers, on Vincennes debut, in a 2700m harness Class C a fortnight ago. Has excellent credentials at home in Sweden and will not be far from the action if form transitions
  49. KOBALT DU VALLON – Put a brace of sanctions behind him when 3rd of 11 to KIKI AND CO (9) in a 2700m Class C here on 7 January, but other less-complicated options available
  50. KARNA DES BAULTS – Sanctioned when prohibitive favourite in a 2700m Class C here on 7 January. Adrien Lamy aboard this time and will be no pushover if he can keep his charge focused
  51. KID DES MOLLES – Lost his action in 7 January race of reference and considering current form, is unlikely to cause an upset
  52. KATLINE MOUROTAISE – Made it 4 on the trot when dominating a 2925m Cagnes Class E a fortnight ago. Unbeaten in the day’s configuration and will be expected to give KIKI AND CO (9) a run for his money
  53. KILDARE OF LOVE – Reliable type that ran 4th of 11 to KIKI AND CO (9) in a 2700m Class C here on 7 January. Takes on a better lot this time however and chances seem limited
  54. KASBAH PERRINE – Drops marginally in category after finishing 6th of 11 behind KILDARE OF LOVE (7) in a 2175m Class B here 3 weeks ago but others still easier to back
  55. KIKI AND CO – Secured the double earlier in the month, easily winning a 2700m Class C here. Is undefeated under the saddle with his jockey and has every chance of keeping his triumphant streak going
  56. KADO SHINING – Quickly sanctioned in a 2175m Class B here 3 weeks ago. Is proven at a more elevated level and, with application, can make his presence felt
  57. KEL AIR D’EOLE – Back to a more reasonable level after running 7th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Gr.1 here mid-December, but is still taking on too much
  58. KRAFEN – Makes just 3rd appearance under the saddle, having finished last of 9 in a 2175m harness Class C here a month back. Is well-engaged and barefoot though and should not be underestimated
Summary: Rejuvenated this winter and seldom disappointing in the day’s configuration, KIKI AND CO (9) is new to 2850m of the main track but has the speed and quality to impose. Alexandre Abrivard will be unsurprisingly concerned by KATLINE MOUROTAISE (6) who has won 4 of 5 for Mathieu Mottier, and the progressive KARNA DES BAULTS (4) who was unexpectedly sanctioned here recently. EMMA JET (1) did everything right on her Vincennes bow and debuts in the discipline with Benjamin Rochard in the saddle and a good hand to play.
    SELECTIONS

    C6 – PRIX DE BREST – 2850m (a2m) – Gr3 Race – Harness – EUR € 90,000
  59. GLOBAL DUBHE – Got back on track when close 2nd of 14 in a 2100m Class A here on New Year’s Day. Will have found his feet and should be competitive for a first-5 payout
  60. JAGUAR DREAM (SWE) – Respectable 5th of 10, on Vincennes debut, in a 2850m Class A 3 weeks ago. Will have come on for the run and although unlikely to get his nose in front, can still play a small role
  61. TOTO BAROSSO – Unremarkable 7th of 12 in a 2100m Class A here on 3 January and will struggle to make his mark
  62. ZIGULI DEI GREPPI – Consistent mare at home in Italy, most recently 4th of 10 over 2460m in Bologna, but has placed just once in 3 here and others preferred
  63. IZNOGOUD AM – 6th of 15 behind INDY ROCK (6) in a 2100m Class A here on 5 January. Is proven at the highest level here but will need to find more this time
  64. INDY ROCK – Returned to France with a fast-finishing 2nd of 15 in a 2100m Class A here on 5 January. Goes over any trip and winning this is well within his capacity
  65. INATO PIERJI – Highly-consistent type making first appearance since running 5th of 14 in a 2700m Class A here 2 months ago. Is confirmed under these conditions and has every chance of trotting his way onto the podium
  66. GOAL STAR – Easy winner of a 2700m Class B here on 21 December. Has twice won over 2850m here and, given the stable’s form, will have a lot to contribute
  67. IGUSKI SAUTONNE – Back at a track he appreciates after running 2nd of 11 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class A 3 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove in this class and looks a serious proposition
  68. GRINDELWALD – Surprise winner over 2700m before coming 5th of 11 to GOAL STAR (8) in a 2700m Class B here on 21 December and, with form maintained, can again finish in the mix
  69. I CAN DREAM – Sanctioned when never dangerous in a 2100m Class A here 2 weeks ago. Front pads fitted this time but still not a concern
  70. GASPAR DE BRION – Serious sort with 2 races under his belt, latterly 4th of 12 in a 2850m amateurs Class E here on Christmas Eve. Alone on 2nd line but is still in conditioning mode and can be ruled out
Summary: Swedish raider from the Redén powerhouse, INDY ROCK (6) made a terrific return to Paris earlier in the month and with Paul Ploquin in the bike again, could well impose. He will still be pitted against the tough IGUSKI SAUTONNE (9) who has been simply superb this winter, and INATO PIERJI (7) who returns rested and reconfigured. GOAL STAR (8) won a Class B in good order here last month and with form maintained will be no soft touch.
    SELECTIONS
    INDY ROCK (6) – IGUSKI SAUTONNE (9) – INATO PIERJI (7) – GOAL STAR (8)
    C7 – PRIX DE DOUVRES – 2850m (a2m) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 53,000
  71. JIMBA BERRY – Honest mare that ran 4th of 15 to JALOUZ D’OLIVERIE (8) in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Is plainly in excellent shape but prospects are slimmer this time around
  72. JORIA MESLOISE – 6th to JALOUZ D’OLIVERIE (8) in 4 January race of reference. Has placed just twice in 13 starts here and is not about to stir things up
  73. JUNE D’ERABLE – Encouraging 3rd of 15 to JALOUZ D’OLIVERIE (8) in a 2175m Class D here a fortnight ago. Difficult to knock when barefoot and while not a contender can nonetheless make her presence felt
  74. JALNA DE TOUCHYVON – 9th of 15 to JALOUZ D’OLIVERIE (8) in a 2175m Class D here a fortnight ago, Barefoot this time but is still out of her depth
  75. JOMA OV – 6th of 15 to JET SOCIETY (11) in a 2700m Class C here on New Year’s Day. Was very unlucky on that occasion but with Franck Nivard reining, can set the record straight
  76. JET SET – Made up for December blip when 4th of 15 to JET SOCIETY (11) in a 2700m Class C here on 1 January. Is obviously on the way back up and looks competitive for a minor place cheque
  77. JAVA D’ANAMA – 2nd over 2700m prior to finishing 9th of 15 to JET SOCIETY (11) in a 2700m Class C here on New Year’s Day. Is patently better than that though and Anthony Barrier will be eager to make good
  78. JALOUZ D’OLIVERIE – Got the new year off to a fine start when successful in a 2175m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Reunited with Eric Raffin, with whom he thrives, and clearly has a claim on the spoils
  79. JESTA BUISSONAY – 8th of 10 in a 2700m monte Class C here on 10 January and would be preferred under the saddle
  80. JAMAICA PHEDO – Going well when sanctioned in a 2700m monté Gr.1 here mid-December. Is unbeaten under the saddle in this configuration but chances seem more limited this time
  81. JET SOCIETY – Surprise winner of a 2700m Class C here on 1 January. A repeat seems unlikely but must nevertheless be taken more seriously. First 5
  82. JENNY DE JOUDES – Out of the picture in both since the break, latterly 10th of 16 in a 2700m Class C here on 2 December. Disregard
  83. JOURNEE REVEE – Beat a number of these over 2700m before coming a fast-finishing 5th of 15 to JET SOCIETY (11) in a 2700m Class C here on New Year’s Day. Seldom disappoints in current configuration and is not about to start. Place chance
  84. JETIDA – Starts for first time since making short work of a 2100m Class C here on 22 November. Has had ample time to recover and enjoys a decent chance of doubling up
Summary: In cracking form, and latterly successful in a personal-best time, JETIDA (14) enjoys a fine entry here and Mathieu Mottier will have every intention of taking advantage. He will still want to be wary of the reinvigorated JALOUZ D’OLIVERIE (8) who imposed with ease here just a fortnight ago. JOURNEE REVEE (13) had the measure of JOMA OV (5) here earlier in the month but, with Franck Nivard reining the latter this time, the tables can turn.

    C8 – PRIX D’AGEN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 52,000
  85. KEY LADY – Climbs the category-ladder after running 3rd of 16 in a Class C under these conditions 2.5 weeks ago. Not about to spring a massive surprise but still has the wherewithal to make first 5
  86. KALINE DE VIVOIN – Last of 9 in a monté Class C over course and distance 11 days ago. Here for a change of scenery and can be passed over
  87. KATE MESLOISE – Going well when sanctioned in a Class C over track and trip on 6 January. Cannot be considered a priority but races barefoot for the first time and will be worth watching
  88. KANAKA DE BUSSET – Unexceptional 6th of 12 to KRACKMANIA (10) in a 2175m Class C here on 21 December and in present form is not about to set the cat among the pigeons
  89. KAVALA DE PADD – Would have finished close in a 2850m Class B here on 1 January had he not faulted just before the line. Franck Nivard in the bike this time and can set the record straight
  90. KIKA JOSSELYN – Showed her superiority in a Class C over course and distance on 11 December. Excels over 2700m here and will take all the beating
  91. KIPHYLE DESBOIS – Steps marginally up in category after trouncing the field in a Class C over track and trip 12 days ago. Entrusted to Mathieu Mottier again and can challenge for the win once more
  92. KOUVOLA – Has returned to competition in fine shape, most recently running 4th of 12 to KRACKMANIA (10) in a 2175m Class C here on 21 December. Will be fully-fit by now and can go closer this time
  93. KONFINEE – Unraced since finishing 10th of 11 finishers behind KIKA JOSSELYN (6) in a Class B over course and distance late-November. Will be fresh but is unlikely to shake things up
  94. KRACKMANIA – Convincing winner of a 2175m Class C here on 21 December. Enjoys a good entry and with Eric Raffin reining is unlikely to be far from the action
  95. KIRCIE DE GUEZ – Quality element that finished last of 12, on return to competition, in a 2850m Class B here on 10 January. Is still being conditioned and best to wait
Summary: KIKA JOSSELYN (6) showed in no uncertain terms here last month that she was back at her best and, in similar form, can double her money. Benjamin Rochard can nevertheless expect to encounter resistance from KIPHYLE DESBOIS (7) who stormed up at 24/1 here recently, and the fresh KOUVOLA (8) who has a pair of runs in her since the summer break. KRACKMANIA (10) has done everything asked of her lately and Eric Raffin gets the nod.

    C9 – PRIX DE DARNETAL – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Race – Harness – EUR € 35,000
  96. LA GARBO – Sanctioned, on return to competition, in a 2850m Class E over the short course on Christmas Day. Races first-time barefoot which should prove key to her rehabilitation
  97. LADY BECO – Has not been seen out since coming 4th of 8 finishers over track and trip 2 months ago. Hind shoes off for re-entry though and, if focused, can finish close
  98. LOUMANAS – Sanctioned in both since the spell, latterly a 2850m Class E over the short course 8 days ago. Has buckets of ability though and can win this if Franck Ouvrie keeps her trotting
  99. LILAS D’ECHAL – Starts for first time since finishing 10th of 12 in a 2400m Amiens Class E on 9 December. Shod competitively but best to hold off
  100. LADIVA DE VILLABON – 4th of 7 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class E on 23 December. Has yet to deliver in Paris and is unlikely to start now
  101. LEIRIA – Oddly lacklustre 6th of 9 behind LUCCIANA HAUFOR (12) in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Is patently better than that and Romain Derieux will be keen to set the record straight
  102. LAQUILA WOOD – Got off the mark at Amiens prior to running 4th of 8 finishers, a place behind LOU DES COUPERIES (13) in a 2850m Class E over inner track on Christmas Day. Reconfigured this time and can get in on the action
  103. LADY D’ELFE – Reassuring 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2850m Class E over the short course 8 days ago. Entrusted to Mathieu Mottier this time and is not to be overlooked
  104. LAST CHANCE – 8th of 14 in a 2175m Class E here on 21 December. Hind shoes off for first time but still has no possible chance
  105. LANAE DE CONROS – Imposed at Borely before finishing 9th of 14, a place behind LAST CHANCE (9), in a 2175m Class E here on 21 December, and in this category will have little to contribute
  106. LYRIDE ORLOVE – Sanctioned here last month prior to running 4th of 13 in a 2800m Pontchateau Class E on 2 January. Can trot on a good day but others still preferred
  107. LUCCIANA HAUFOR – Courageous 2nd of 9 in a Class E over course and distance 3 weeks ago. Has taken well to the main-track profile and will have her chances
  108. LOU DES COUPERIES – Back under harness after finishing a flattering 3rd of 4 finishers in a 2200m monté Class E here on New Year’s Day. Has ability, is barefoot for first time, and with application can pick up some prizemoney
  109. LADY DES ARRIS – Decent sort that ran 4th of 7 finishers, a place behind LADY D’ELFE (8) in a 2850m Class E over the short track 8 days ago. Enjoys a good entry and is unlikely to be far off the mark is she stays in stride
Summary: An open affair this where stride woes can alter the complexion of the race, it is still hard to ignore the talented but tricky LOUMANAS (3) who reverts to racing with front pads. More reliable and barefoot for the first time, LUCCIANA HAUFOR (12) gave a fine account of herself here late last month and will not be easily disposed of. Permitted to race barefoot this time, the complicated LA GARBO (1) will have her chances if applied. Front shoes off, LEIRIA (6) will be expected to show marked improvement on her latest performance.
