R1 BORDEAUX-LE BOUSCAT [R-H]
C1 – PRIX JEAN-FRANCOIS MAURY – 2650m (a1m1/2) – Class G Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 6,000
- INSTAR – In the money on numerous occasions this year but failed to deliver at Agen last month and even starting on the front line still looks something of an outsider
- HALTESS DES GLENAN – Put a pair of eliminations behind her when victorious at Villereal just over 2 months ago. Is ideally-engaged on the first line and with application will be no easy touch
- HENRI GAILLARD – Unremarkable trotter that went into his break on a low note and is expected to pick up where he left off
- GAPACHE DE HOUELLE – Like a horse reborn lately, most recently dominating an Agen amateurs class G early this month, and has every chance of doubling her money
- HUBERUS – Pleasant at this level earlier in the year but has completely lost his way and even racing barefoot will have nothing to contribute
- HIDALGO BOY – Returns to a category he appreciates and has form under these conditions. Shod as he was when successful at Langon and with Adeline Haret in the bike again must be respected
- GALAXIE DU LOISIR – Has shown marked improvement this term, boasts fine credentials with her amateur, and looks main threat to GAPACHE DE HOUELLE (4)
- GOLD DE BAULON – Well-beaten 7th behind GALAXIE DU LOISIR (7) at Agen early last month. Has done nothing of note for some time and chances limited
- GARIFAN DE CASTROU – Completely out of the picture in last 3 starts. Ran 2nd under these conditions last time here but latest numbers do nothing to inspire confidence
- INES D’ATOUT – Drops down the category-ladder after being eliminated on re-entry at Machecoul 10 days ago. Is proven in the day’s configuration and will be expected to finish close
- HOUKO SPORT – Takes first steps in the amateur category following a string of eliminations. Is not devoid of ability though and will not be far from the action if Britt Grift manages to keep him trotting
- HAMOUR DE SISSI – Trounced in both amateur and claiming categories lately. Is one of the weakest links here and will have few friends
Summary: Runner-up here in October before going on to romp at Agen earlier this month, GAPACHE DE HOUELLE (4) is easy to fancy for the double. Denis Eric Cordeau will still want to be wary of GALAXIE DU LOISIR (7) who presents solid references in the amateur division, and the well-engaged INES D’ATOUT (10) who has been freshly re-shod for her return to the category. 25m better off, HALTESS DES GLENAN (2) opened her own amateur account in early-September, returns fresh, and must be considered a serious proposition.

C2 – PRIX JARDY – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - MYSTIC D’AVE – Not devoid of ability but has looked ordinary over recent months and cannot be considered a contender
- MISTRAL JENILOU – Put away after winning a pair last winter, he most recently ran 2nd of 10 on comeback in a 2750m Cabourg Class D in mid-August. Has been afforded time to recover and from the 2-spot has a lot to offer
- MORETIME DU CAMPUS – Takes a dip in category after coming 4th in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 18 October. Has been handed the plum draw and is not incapable of getting his nose in front
- MARVELOUS SPORT – Won a brace in August and September before being eliminated in next 2. Clearly has bags of ability and is unlikely to be far off the mark provided Christophe Feyte keeps him focused
- MASSILIO BLOND – Got back in the game when 3rd in an Agen claimer 9 days ago and even from the 5-spot is not about to shake things up
- MISTRAL DE LOISEL – Useful type with one race under his belt since being sent for a rest in June. Always gives his best, starts in front and should again figure prominently
- MOZAR DE REVE D’OR – Made up for Saint-Malo elimination when 3rd in a Reims Class D over the same distance on 14 September. Has had time to get back to his best and has every chance of imposing this time
- MARAVIGLIA – Justifiably well-regarded filly making first appearance since winning at Caen last May. Comes here fresh and while possibly a race shy, can nevertheless get in on the action
- MYRTILLE D’ERPION – Sent for a break after opening her account in August. Imposed on re-entry early this month, however the draw will do her no favours
- MONEY AIMEF – Has come good since being switched to the harness code, winning last 2. Takes on a better lot this time but will still have her supporters
- MIGHTY DREAM – Showed promise during the spring but below-par since, most recently flopping at Cabourg, and is unlikely to shake things up
- MAD DREAM – Ran unexceptional 5th to MONEY AIMEF (10) on Grenade re-entry 2.5 weeks ago and has nothing to offer
- MADGIK SAUTREUIL – Won 2 from 3 during the summer but eliminated in next 2, latterly on comeback. Takes a considerable hike in category and others easier to like
- MA FANTASY D’AMOUR – Ran 2nd at Beaumont-de-Lomagne before coming 4th of 10 in a 2750m Toulouse Class E, following some misfortune. Is not ideally-placed on back line and others preferred this time
- MUSE DE VANDEL – Disappointing of late, has a regressive profile, and can be confidently passed over
- MAGNUM DAIRPET – Colt with buckets of ability but eliminated in 3 of last 4. Is forced to start wide on the 2nd row and is unlikely to create an upset
Summary: A number of horses in the running here but it is still easy to like the progressive MOZAR DE REVE D’OR (7) despite being accorded a wide draw and not having raced since mid-September. Better-positioned behind the car, but off the track since mid-August, MISTRAL JENILOU (2) gave a fine account on his re-entry and will have come on for the run. MORETIME DU CAMPUS (3) left a good impression at Enghien last month and is back racing clockwise with a good hand to play. Still chasing that elusive first win, MISTRAL DE LOISEL (6) has a race under his belt and will be no pushover.

C3 – PRIX JONNY RUFFATO – 2650m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - JASON BLUE – Never far from losing his action but would have finished in the money at Argentan had he kept his action together. Won here last winter and can pick up a cheque if Anthony Barrier keeps him focused
- JASMIN MERITE – 4th of 13 in Toulouse last month at 139-1. Winner of his only starts over course and distance but is a minor place chance at best this time
- JALTO DU TREMONT – Imposed at Cavaillon before repeating at Beaumont-de-Lomagne in early-October. Thrives at the venue, is shod as he was last time, and the hat-trick is not out of the question
- JAMAICA – 10th of 12 on re-entry in a 2725m Grenade Class E 10 days ago. Is not devoid of ability but stays shod for comeback and others preferred
- JADOU DU LUPIN – Not once out of the frame since July, latterly imposing with ease at Machecoul. Is 25m better off this time and should not be far off the mark
- GAUCHO DE LA NOUE – Honest type that always gives his best. Has been out of sorts lately but presents excellent Bordeaux references. Stays shod though and the extra 25m will do him no favours
- HYDROMEL – Returns to a track he appreciates after over 4 months off. Is obliged to incur the penalty and with shoes fitted is unlikely to spring any surprises
- IL VIENT DU LUDE – Good, consistent sort that ran a fine 2nd of 13 in a Lyon-Parilly Class C late last month. Seldom disappoints when focused and makes his Bordeaux debut with a lot to contribute. Chance
- HOTEL MYSTIC – Serious trotter with nothing to prove at this level. Conditioned for this at Vincennes and, plainly in competition-mode, can make this his own
- JOUR DE FETE – Did not enjoy the best of trips when last of 9 in a Vincennes Class A 2 weeks ago. Has otherwise been in flying form and can give HOTEL MYSTIC (9) a run for his money if Romain Congard keeps him out of trouble
- IBIS QUICK – Serious sort starting for first time since July. Takes on a good lot here and with shoes fitted is not about to ruffle any feathers
- FOX PAPA TANGO – Makes first appearance since being eliminated in a 2850m Vincennes Class C in late-August. Barefoot for the occasion but has little love for Bordeaux and can be passed over
- GLAMOUR YOMA – Secured a Vichy hat-trick during the summer but somewhat lacklustre since. Sports pads this time and can be ruled out
- HARMONY LA NUIT – Could well have finished in the money at Laval earlier in the month had she stayed trotting. Enjoys a good entry and will be no pushover if Stephane Bourlier keeps her focused
Summary: The main protagonists are situated on the back row here, HOTEL MYSTIC (9) looking the one to beat. Barefoot following a pair of fresheners, he has previously imposed here and with shoes off this time can return to victorious ways. Matthieu Abrivard will still be mindful of the in-form JOUR DE FETE (10) who returns to a more reasonable level, and IL VIENT DU LUDE (8) who looks close to his race. A model of consistency since early-summer, JADOU DU LUPIN (5) starts in front and will be competitive for the double. JALTO DU TREMONT (3) also benefits from a front row start, adored Bordeaux, and must not be underestimated.

C4 – PRIX JEAN-MAURICE BETEAU – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - LAZZARO ELLIS – Made it 4 in a row when dominating a Salon-de-Provence Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Front pads fitted this time and has a reasonable chance of securing the 5-timer
- LOUKOUM DE L’ITON – Unexceptional element making first start since being pulled-up under the saddle last July. Races shod this time and can be ruled out
- LAZIZA JASMA – Not once out of the first 2 when barefoot, most recently winning with ease at Salon-de-Provence late last month. Benefits from an excellent draw and will be expected to bring the fight to LAZZARO ELLIS (1)
- LA MOME DE CAHOT – Eliminated on comeback in a 2750m Cabourg Class D in mid-October. Has been fitted with pads this time and with application should logically finish in the mix
- LEGYPTIA DE GUEZ – Gave a fine account under the saddle on re-entry mid-October. Enjoys a good entry but will have other ambitions
- LIBERTINE ECAJEUL – Last but one behind LASCO DES LUCAS (15) in a Class D under these conditions a month ago. Has been relieved of her shoes but still looks an outsider
- LOVELY TO SEE YOU – Tricky but clearly capable filly that did not put a foot wrong in 2 recent Caen outings. Starts wide but Alexis Collette has nonetheless picked up a competitive spare drive. Place chance
- LOVELY MARINA – Made it 2 wins from 3 starts when successful in a Castéra-Verduzan claimer early last month. Forced to start wide though and in this company is unlikely to make much of an impact
- LISA DE PERVENCHE – Quality element that was quickly eliminated in a Vincennes Class E last week. Matthieu Abrivard would have preferred a better draw but can make a big splash if she takes to the new profile
- LE CAPORAL – Back racing right-handed after 3 solid efforts racing the other direction. Goes well for his young partner and can play an active role. First 5
- LUGOS DE MONTAURAN – Has shown significantly better aptitude for the monte code and will have nothing to contribute
- LYSANDRA – Takes a dip down the category-ladder after a respectable but unthreatening effort at Cabourg 2.5 weeks ago. Is not about to win this but still has the wherewithal to pick up a cheque
- LUPIN DE BEAUFOUR – Tricky but talented type making first start since April. Hind shoes off but is likely to need the race
- LIO DE PIENCOURT – Has done nothing of note since imposing under the saddle last May and is unlikely to be troubling the judge
- LASCO DES LUCAS – Made no impact here a month ago before reassuring at a lower level in Beaumont-de-Lomagne early this month, and even with hind pads fitted can be confidently ruled out
- LIEVRE D’ALBRET – Ran 4th in a claimer here last December but has not been seen out for almost 2 months and the draw only compounds matters
Summary: Following a difficult start to his career, LAZZARO ELLIS (1) has since won 4 on the trot, sports a new configuration, and will be heavily supported. That being said, LAZIZA JASMA (3) is ideally-placed on the front line, has yet to disappoint when barefoot, and should prove the main danger. LISA DE PERVENCHE (9) is less favourably drawn, but has talent in spades, returns to racing shod, and will have her chances if she gets off on the right foot. LOVELY TO SEE YOU (7) has turned a corner lately and returns to racing barefoot with a good hand to play.

C5 – PRIX CHATEAU CHANTEGRIVE – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - KARA DU PLESSIS – Springs the occasional surprise but well-beaten in last 2 and has yet to make her mark at Bordeaux
- KETTINA DU CYGNE – Could have finished closer than 4th behind KOVALLIE MONTAVAL (9) in a Toulouse Class E 12 days ago had she not faulted. Enjoys a fine entry and her trainer will be determined to put things right. Chance
- KOCCINELLE – Very hard to fault since starting to race barefoot. Good 3rd behind KOVALLIE MONTAVAL (9) in a Toulouse Class E 12 days ago and the draw will do her prospects no disservice
- KILT – Disappointing in both disciplines for past 2 seasons and will have nothing to offer. Ignore
- KING DE BOUTEAU – Modest individual that has placed just once in last 13 starts and can expect to have few friends
- KWINIE JIHAIME – Out of the picture in last 5 starts. Drops down the class-ladder, and starts in front, but still has no possible chance
- KAPORAL CARISAIE – Never far from losing his action but just missed out in a Toulouse Class E 12 days ago, and can impose this time if Lana Henry keeps him focused
- KRAC BRENUS – Has yet to deliver at Bordeaux but has been showing his form on turf. Failed to pull off the hat-trick at Saint-Brieuc but with Anthony Barrier reining is unlikely to be far off the mark. Place chance
- KOVALLIE MONTAVAL – Sprang a 97-1 surprise when 2nd of 11 in a 2150m Toulouse Class E late last month. Is unlikely to repeat but can get a look in if Tristan Bord keeps her focused
- KNIGHT TALE ONE – Imposed for the first time in almost 3 years when victorious at Savenay, but failed to repeat and looks out of his depth in this field
- KEEP TRUST – Trounced in last 3 starts, latterly last of 12 behind KAPORAL CARISAIE (7) in a Toulouse Class E late last month, and can be passed over
- KARL SPEED – Unable to live up to expectations when 6th of 13 in a 2650m Class F here on 19 October. Starts on back row and will have limited prospects
- KAOLIN D’AVRIL – Barring one clinker has otherwise been in fine shape. Returns to racing barefoot but in this company will struggle to make his mark
- KHEOPS D’HAMELINE – Honest sort that gave a fine account on re-entry, coming 4th of 18 in a Saint-Malo Class G early this month. Is reunited with Antoine Wiels, has never disappointed racing right-handed, and despite the draw must be taken seriously
- KATENKINO – Failed to confirm Agon success when 6th of 13 at Le Mont-Saint-Michel after having lost all chance at the start. Makes first start for new trainer and, in spite of a poor draw, can nevertheless finish in the mix
- KATAVIA PRESS – Decent mare that has raced just once since February. Likely to be somewhat race-rusty but is confirmed here, and with Matthieu Abrivard reining will be afforded every chance. First 5
Summary: He may not always be the easiest of horses to handle but KAPORAL CARISAIE (7) gave a reassuringly good account at Toulouse late last month and on good behaviour can make his Bordeaux bow a winning one. The reconfigured KETTINA DU CYGNE (2) has shown a similar lack of discipline but showed her form in a different race on the same card. A place ahead of her that day, KOCCINELLE (3) can again figure prominently, but may first have to see off the widely-drawn KRAC BRENUS (8) who has won 2 of his last 3.

C6 – PRIX BORDEAUX-METROPOLE – 2550m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 28,000 - JACKSON D’ARC – Serious type that was given time to recalibrate after being eliminated at Montauban a month ago. Starts on the inside but has been entrusted to a most capable young driver and can pick up some prizemoney
- IZZIE D’ERONVILLE – Ran 3rd of 14 on re-entry 2.5 weeks ago. Is as regular as they get and considering the draw, should prove competitive for the win
- HARLEY DE QUARO – Previously a good sort but very disappointing over recent months and must get his house in order
- IRONIE DE CHENU – Good class of mare with an excellent strike-rate. Has yet to disappoint at Bordeaux, has been entrusted to Matthieu Abrivard for the first time, and can get back to successful ways
- HAKIM DES CHAMPS – Got back in the winners’ enclosure at Agen on 21 September. Goes barefoot again and the draw only enhances his already good prospects
- JOKER D’OCCAGNES – Dependable type that prepared for this at Enghien on 18 October. Is barefoot for the occasion, went close on sole start at the venue, and is not about to let the side down. First 5
- HERMES DE GIRONDE – Out of the picture in last 5 starts. Appreciates these conditions but in current condition will have nothing to offer
- JUDY MATIDY – Showed improvement on 2nd start back when 5th of 18 in a 2675m Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 10 days ago. Starts wide on front row but has a liking for Bordeaux and is no easy touch when fitted with pads. Attention
- IMHOTEP BUROIS – Pleasant for the most part but has little love for Bordeaux and with shoes on can be overlooked
- JUNGLE GREEN – Twice a winner in 3 starts for Charley Mottier. Ran 4th on her only Bordeaux start and even from the back line has a lot to contribute. Place prospect
- HASHTAG DE TAGOR – Capable trotter making first appearance since 24 July. Has no Bordeaux references, sports pads for comeback, and others easier to back
- HIDALGO DES LUCAS – Wonderfully consistent sort that ran 4th of 15 on comeback in a Toulouse Class F on 17 October. Takes on a better lot here, and starts on back line, but is still worth keeping an eye on
- IROCKO STRYCK – Back at the top of his game since returning to the provinces, most recently victorious at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 11 days ago. Barefoot this time and can play a part if Thomas Ducos successfully navigates the start
Summary: A very good campaigner with a pair of runs under her belt following the spell, HOTEL MYSTIC (9) runs barefoot for her first objective of the autumn and from the 4-spot is easy to fancy. IZZIE D’ERONVILLE (2) is new to the venue but is as tough as they come and has been reconfigured following a superb return run at Saint-Brieuc. JUNGLE GREEN (10) has yet to disappoint for her new handler, is confirmed here, races barefoot, and despite the draw will garner considerable support. HAKIM DES CHAMPS (5) makes his Bordeaux debut off the back of a solid Agen score and has the wherewithal to challenge for a place on the podium.

C7 – PRIX RFM – PRIX FANDANGO – 2650m (a1m1/2) – – Mounted – EUR € 30,000 - JEDEO DES VAUX – Not the most reliable of horses but always gives his best. Is better than his Mont-Saint-Michel performance would suggest, starts in front, and with his mind on the game can play a prominent part
- JAKADI DE VAUVILLE – Gave a decent account on comeback 10 days ago, running 6th of 14 in a Grenade-sur-Garonne Class E. Will have cone on for the run and even though shod this time can still get in on the action
- IRON BIRD DEVOL – Has placed just once in 5 monte starts but has ample ability. Is patently in good shape, has been reconfigured, and from the front row could pleasantly surprise
- HIT MONEY – Unexceptional individual returning to the code with front shoes off but is being aimed too high this time. Disregard
- FILOU DU RAVARY – Starts for the first time since being trounced in a Mansle Class F on 17 August and is not about to influence the outcome
- JAG MAHCATH – Excellent servant that got straight down to business on re-entry on 20 October and will be a tough nut to crack if Anthony Barrier keeps him focused. Claim
- GAILLARDE QUERAY – Looked very ordinary on return to the discipline 3 weeks ago when 7th of 9 finishers and can be confidently passed over
- GROUPE DE POTES – Back under the saddle after a pair of modest harness runs and is not about to cause an upset
- GIBUS DARCHE – Takes first public monte steps after failing to fire at Castéra-Verduzan a month back and appears to have little or no chance
- HASHTAG DUB’S – Showed great tenacity to win a 2850m Feurs Class E just over a month ago. Has good references in the day’s configuration and with form maintained can go far
- JUPITER TURGOT – A model of consistency that has won 3 of the 4 monte races he has run when not eliminated. Imposed at Laval last time in the code and can confirm
Summary: A fine campaigner with nothing to prove at this level, JAG MAHCATH (6) made short work of a Class E at Les Sables-d’Olonne on comeback just over 3 weeks ago, and is likely to command strong market support. He will still face opposition though from JUPITER TURGOT (11) who imposed under the saddle on his first start for the Charley Mottier stable, and HASHTAG DUB’S (10) who held on well to impose at Feurs in mid-October. JEDEO DES VAUX (1) starts on the first row here and although unlikely to get his nose in front can nevertheless finish in the mix.

- JOIE DE LA COTE – Capable mare starting for the first time since June and with pads fitted will have nothing to offer
- FIGHTER SIMONI – Quality Swedish raider with top references running clockwise. Its clearly in form and will not be easy to oppose
- JAGUAR WIT – No longer the horse he once was. Has not been seen out since February and is going to need the run
- JOJOBA DE QUERAY – Not the most fortunate when eliminated at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 3 weeks ago. Not easy to knock when focused and from the front line can get a look in
- JUST D’ERONVILLE – Was unable to produce the goods in a Vincennes Class A a fortnight ago. Has otherwise been hard to fault recently and looks competitive for a place in the frame
- JAIN MAB – Mixes the good with the less good but enjoys a fine entry on the front row and the Bordeaux profile should suit her to a tee
- JOLIVERT DU GERS – Honest type that always gives his best and is clearly in fine form. Placed on sole start at the venue and the excellent draw bodes well for his chances. First 5
- ICARE DU BERYL – Impressive 4th of 12 in a Gr.3 at Salon-de-Provence 2.5 weeks ago after having run 3rd in a Class D under these conditions a month ago. Starts on the back row here but still looks dangerous
- HIWI ROCQ – Got back in the winners’ circle at Strasbourg on 24 October before biting off more than he could chew in a Nantes GNT Gr.3 a week ago. Has never failed to fire at Bordeaux though and must be respected
- IDOLE OF LOVE – 4th in a Class A here a month ago before coming courageous 2nd in a Class C at Beaumont-de-Lomagne 10 days later. On back line again but should nevertheless hold her own
- FUTUR DU CHENE – Placed in Toulouse prior to finishing last of 8 behind IDOLE OF LOVE (11) in a Class A under these conditions a month ago, and others preferred
- HARISON DU PLESSIS – Returns to a track he likes after running 4th in superior company at Vincennes last week, but in the absence of Eric Raffin is unlikely to spring any surprises
Summary: On this occasion, front row elements must be favoured. At first glance, FIGHTER SIMONI (3) may not be an obvious choice but he boasts a terrific record racing right-handed and can wrap this up if he takes to Bordeaux conditions. He will nevertheless be forced to take on JUST D’ERONVILLE (6) who returns to racing shod, at a more reasonable level, after failing to deliver in superior company late last month, and JAIN MAB (7) who is shod as she was when runner-up in a Cabourg Class D in August. ICARE DU BERYL (9) placed here before pleasantly surprising in a Gr.3 and, even though incurring the penalty, it would be perilous to ignore him.

C1 – PRIX DE LA SENSIVE – 2400m (a1m1/2) – TURF – Condition – Flat – EUR € 25,200
- LETS DANSE DOUDOU – This filly was 6th in a Gr 2 over 2500m at Saint-Cloud on 26 October. That was an impressive performance but she does carry a hefty weight
- LAZHER – Won a Conditions race over 2700m at Saumur on 2 November. In good form but has to lift his level to be competitive
- KHALEESI DE CHAIS – This mare won a Conditions race over 2700m at Les Sables on 11 October. Takes a rise in class and will need to up her game
- KATE TO WIN – Finished 8th in a Gr 2 over 2500m at Saint-Cloud on 26 October. Fair effort last time and at her best could place
- LIVERPOOL DE VAIGE – Won a Conditions race over 3300m at Morlaix on 28 September. That was a runaway debut victory and although up in class he could prove quite capable
- LEHO – A competitive 3rd in a Hurdles Listed race over 3600m at Compiegne on 25 October. While he has been racing over jumps, he did win on debut on the Flat and can do so again
- KOKIN – Ran 6th in a Conditions race over 2400m at Prunelli on 26 October. Has some form against weaker opposition but could rise to the occasion
- LOUANGE D’ESTRUVAL – Promising filly ran 2nd in a Conditions race over 2400m at Lion D’Angers on 10 August. She has been supplemented into this race and after that excellent debut must be a contender
Summary: A competitive event but perhaps it is worth looking at the two supplemented runners, starting off with LEHO (6) who appears to have loads of potential despite having been racing in hurdle events. He has won on the Flat and could make a triumphant comeback. LOUANGE D’ESTRUVAL (8) has only raced once and looks talented so should be followed. LETS DANSE DOUDOU (1), has class but carries top weight while LIVERPOOL DE VAIGE (5) won easily on debut and could be anything.

- LIBERTE CHERIE – 10th in a Handicap over 2100m at Angers on 2 November. Loves the heavy going and that should make her a force in this event
- STARLIGHT – A decent 5th in a Handicap over 2100m at Argentan on 8 October. That was a good effort and she looks ready to pick up another victory
- SPINNING MIST – Ran 10th in a Handicap over 1900m at Deauville on 20 October. Is running well enough to have a place chance at best
- JACK’S SON – A promising 4th in a Conditions race over 2000m at Durtal on 1 November. Currently in good form but is an unknown factor on heavy tracks
- SAMOA – She did well to finish 5th a Conditions race over 2000m at Durtal on 1 November. She finished just behind JACK’S SON (5) but is proven on a wet track
- BALINA GARY – Finished 14th in a Handicap over 2650m at Chateaubriant on 12 May. Recent runs have been poor and would do well to finish in the top half of the field
- D’ALLURE – 8th in a Handicap over 2300m at Pompadour on 2 August. Not in the best of form and comes back from a three-month break
- CATELLE ROSE – Moderate 6th in a Handicap over 2100m at Argentan on 8 October. Meets stronger this time so will need to find more
- DIMASTY MAJTALL – Ran 9th in a Maiden over 2900m at Argentan on 8 October. If she produces her best she could upset a few of the more fancied runners
- ALF A STAR – Was 7th in a Qualifying Handicap at over 2000m at Mauron on 24 August. Comes back from a layoff and will need to up her game.
- ECLAIR DE VATI – Modest 8th over 2500m at Deauville on 1 November. Recent form has been uninspiring and will need to improve
- VENT DU REVE – Ran 6th in a Conditions race over 1700m at Divonne on 19 October. Has not placed since February and looks unlikely to do so in this
Summary: This looks a very open Handicap. STARLIGHT (3) produced a decent enough finish in her last start to indicate she will be competitive in this. LIBERTE CHERIE (2) loves the soft going and will be ideally suited to the conditions. SAMOA (6) is rarely far off them and that level of consistency will stand her in good stead. DIMASTY MAJTALL (10) may have disappointed last time but she is capable of better.

Summary: WHITE NIGHT (3) was narrowly touched off last time out and can go one better in this line up. The step up in trip is likely to suit her down to the ground and she rates the one to beat. KANEWKO (7) and MARIA APOLLONIA (8) are both first timers who need to be monitored carefully in the market and if there’s any market confidence, they must be followed. PAS DE VAGUES (1) showed pleasing improvement last time out and will no doubt have more to offer here over an extended trip.
