R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX D’ALES – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 35,000
- MID DANCER – Has shown little aptitude for either code, most recently eliminated in 25 November race of reference, and can be disregarded
- MANAPANIS – 3rd, some distance off MAXIMUS DAIRPET (10), here on 14 November and will struggle to make his mark this time
- MILTON ELLIS – Has done nothing but improve since solid Laval debut in September. Beat a number of these on the main track recently and the inner course should suit him well. First 5
- MISTRAL DE CERISY – Showed improvement when 4th, a place behind MILTON ELLIS (3), in a 2700m Class E here late last month, but still no more than a minor place prospect
- MICHIGAN – Progressive type that has been learning his trade nicely in the provinces. Makes Vincennes debut with Mathieu Mottier in the irons and has a legitimate claim on the silverware
- MATISSE DU PONT – Takes to the monte code for the first time after being conditioned with care. Top jockey aboard for the occasion and, considering the potential he has shown under harness, must be considered a contender
- MIMO DU MESNIL – Eliminated in 2 starts over the inner course before running 5th of 7 in a 2175m harness Class E here 2 weeks ago. Is no champion but debuts in the discipline in decent shape and in this small field can pick up a thin slice of the pie
- MAESTRO DES GIRES – Returns to the inner course after coming 5th behind MILTON ELLIS (3) over 2700m here on 25 November. Ran 2nd over track and trip during the autumn and with application should prove competitive
- MAESTRO DE FORGAN – Erratic colt making monte bow after an unexceptional effort under harness at Graignes and even with Benjamin Rochard aboard is unlikely to shake things up
- MAXIMUS DAIRPET – Has taken particularly well to his new vocation. Is plainly close to his race and Jean-Yann Ricart will be eager to take advantage of the fine entry. Claim
Summary: Like a different horse since switching codes, MAXIMUS DAIRPET (10) ran 2nd under these conditions a month ago and, in the absence of the winner, can impose this time. MICHIGAN (5) though is an interesting prospect from a yard with fine monte form, and Mathieu Mottier will be in the irons on this occasion. MATISSE DU PONT (6) takes his first competitive ridden steps, has 3 runs under his belt, and Alexandre Abrivard gets the nod. MAESTRO DES GIRES (8) is a tricky character at the best of times but he has references under these conditions and cannot be ruled out.

C2 – PRIX DES GIROFLEES – 2850m (a2m) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 38,000 - NORDIC GIRL – Capricious filly that has yet to show any particular aptitude for the game and can be ruled out
- NACHYMA BERRY – Filly with evident ability but has looked very green and appears to need more time and experience
- NORA D’ELCE – Has had a month get back in shape after an excellent debut run at La Capelle. Will have progressed for the race and can again contest the finish
- NINA HAGEN – Pleasant 5th in 2 recent starts over the main track. Should appreciate the new profile but in this company will have too much to do
- NASHVILLE BLUE – Starts for the first time in just over 2 months. Is plainly capable but will have little to offer on this occasion
- NORD AMERICAINE – Got off the mark at Meslay-du-Maine in late-October before running 4th in a Chateaubriant Class E 12 days ago. Is not a priority but with Mathieu Mottier at the helm will have her supporters
- NIKITA GOLD – Produced a 55-1 surprise when 3rd in a Class D over 2175m here late last month. Is unlikely to repeat but must nevertheless be taken more seriously this time
- NOVA TURGOT – Pleasant 4th over 2100m of the inner course 3 weeks ago before faulting early over the main track. Will be unperturbed by the new distance and with Franck Nivard reining will be afforded every chance
- NUANCE CASTELETS – 3rd over course and distance a month ago before running 6th behind NIKITA GOLD (7) in a 2175m Class D here on 26 November. Takes on a good bunch here and is not an obvious choice
- NOLITA MADRIK – Was finishing like a train after having caused interference here on 21 November. Is plainly in rude health and the Eric Raffin-factor can make all the difference. Claim
- NAFI DE REVE D’OR – Not once asked to extend herself in either start to date. Faces a different kind of challenge this time but is plainly a good future prospect with a realistic chance of pulling off the hat-trick
- NIZZA ROCCA – Left a fine impression when 2nd, despite some stride woes, in a 2700m Class D here last Friday. Is plainly close to her race and Benjamin Rochard will be legitimately confident of a big performance
- NATURALLY STAR – Wonderfully-engaged filly that ran 3rd over the inner course before coming 4th to NIZZA ROCCA (12) over 2700m here a week ago, and can challenge for a place in the picture
Summary: Winner at Alencon on debut before confirming 3 weeks ago, NAFI DE REVE D’OR (11) steps up in category but looks thoroughly professional and enjoys a decent chance of maintaining her unbeaten record. Gabriele Gelormini will still be keeping a watchful eye on the nicely-entered NIZZA ROCCA (12) who put in a good showing over the main track a week ago, and NORA D’ELCE (3) whose debut run at La Capelle a month ago did not go unnoticed. Disqualified for interference after giving a good account over shorter here last month, NOLITA MADRIK (10) will be partnered by Eric Raffin for the first time and represents a serious danger.

C3 – PRIX DE DIVONNE-LES-BAINS – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LUCKY LOVE – Steps up in category after coming 2nd of 7 finishers in a Class E over 2700m here a fortnight ago, but can expect to face a stiffer challenge this time around
- LEONARDO DU DERBY – Finished 3rd, a place behind L’AS DE SAINT JEAN (5), over track and trip before losing his action here last week. Returns to racing shod and can put things right
- LAY UP – Got back in the game in a 2100m Class D here on 4 December. Put in an excellent finish on that occasion and Eric Raffin can be forgiven for feeling bullish. Chance
- LINARO – Failed to confirm Enghien success when outpaced in a 2850m Class D here 2 weeks ago. Is clearly better than that though and will be expected to finish closer
- L’AS DE SAINT JEAN – Ran 2nd over course and distance before coming 3rd in a 2850m Class D here a fortnight ago. Is not the best horse here this time but can still trot his way onto the podium
- LE POETE BOURBON – Unbeaten in 2 starts over course and distance but has looked rather ordinary of late and can be passed over
- LOVER SIXTY ONE – Impressed more than once last season but has made little impact in 2025 and is unlikely to change his ways
- LE RETOUR VRIE – Capable on a good day but has disappointed in last 2. Other more dependable elements available, but it will not be long before he starts to come good again
- LANSKY VALLEE – Placed here in December but lacklustre in next 2. Enjoys a good entry though and cannot be ruled out
- LEXINGTON DANICA – Not the biggest fan of the Vincennes main track but has won last 2 in good order and in present shape is easy to fancy for the hat-trick
- LE MAESTRO – Did not miss a beat for his first goal of the meeting, clinching victory in a Class D over 2700m in early-November. Will have freshness on his side and has a realistic chance of repeating
Summary: LEXINGTON DANICA (10) has hit the bullseye in both objectives this term, enjoys a terrific entry, and provided he stays in stride should able to pull off the 3-timer. Just 30 Euros from elimination though, LE MAESTRO (11) is well-placed to confirm his Class D success. L’AS DE SAINT JEAN (5) has been knocking at the door lately, produced his best chrono under these conditions in October, and must be respected. LAY UP (3) sports a fresh configuration following last week’s good run and Eric Raffin stays faithful.

C4 – PRIX DE CAMPBON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MILORD DU COJEUL – Unexceptional element that was eliminated in a claimer here late last month and in this company has no possible chance
- MILORD DARLING – Unlucky on Vincennes debut on 17 November, but made up for it last week when close 2nd in a Class E over course and distance, and winning this would be no surprise
- MANGO PAULO – 2nd in a Class E over course and distance on 17 November. Will not be available at 105-1 this time and Antonin André will be eager to confirm it was no flash in the pan
- MILLESIME STAR – Appears to have found his mark in the claiming category these days and can expect to have few friends
- MALABAR MAGO – Got off the mark at Graignes 3 weeks ago but failed to confirm when trounced over the short course last week, and others preferred
- MACAREUX DU TRIEUX – Steps up in category after running 3rd in a Class E over the inner course here on 18 November, but has no love for the main track and can be passed over
- MAGYC BERRY – Complicated individual making first appearance since July and will have other ambitions
- MAJOR DU BISTON – 5th of 10, a place behind MURPHY DU PONCELET (13), in a 2825m Class A at Le Croise-Laroche early last month. Is unlikely to spice things up but can nevertheless hold his own
- MALIGNO – 3rd over track and trip on re-entry but eliminated next time over 2175m when full of running. A return to 2700m though may be just the ticket
- MOSCOW MULE – Faces first objective of the winter following a pair of conditioners. Showed his quality earlier in the year and should not be far off the mark if he adapts to the new profile
- MARQUIS DU CHENE – Gave a good account on main-track debut in late-September but was never threatening in last month’s attempt in similar company, and will need to find more
- MIDNIGHT SUN – Made short work of a 2850m Class C at Lyon-Parilly on 9 November. Vincennes was always his aim and Alexis Collette can be justifiably confident, even at this level. Claim
- MURPHY DU PONCELET – Honest colt that ran 2nd over the short course on Vincennes debut just over 2 weeks ago. Will not be sent out at 42-1 this time and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- MILLENIUM – Delicate sort that has won 3 of the 4 races he has finished. Takes to the main track this time and although not a priority, is still worth keeping an eye on
- MEURSAULT – Serious but complicated type with a pair of fresheners under his belt since the break. Is never far from losing his action but can play a leading role if David Thomain keeps him trotting
Summary: Winner of 2 from 3 since leaving the nordics, MIDNIGHT SUN (12) made no bones about winning at Lyon-Parilly last month and can double his money if he takes to the new conditions. Another Scandinavian raider, MILORD DARLING (2) left a good impression here last week and it will not be long before he opens his French account. MEURSAULT (15) enjoys a terrific entry and can make a big splash if applied. MANGO PAULO (3) defied his odds to run close in a Class E here last month and Antonin André will be hopeful of another big run.

C5 – PRIX DE QUISSAC – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000 - LOUISIANE GIRL – Has shown solid ability in both codes, and made good progress here last week. Eric Raffin reins this time and is unlikely to disappoint. Place chance
- LA FOULE – No slouch on a good day but starts for first time since late-September and will be shod for the occasion
- LILY POM MIX – Raced better at 3 than she has done so far this term and recent eliminations do little to inspire confidence
- LONDON DELO – Modest element that has made no impact for some time and is not about to start now
- LIBERTE HAUFOR – Won the 4th race of her short career when dominating a 2400m Amiens Class F on 26 November. Is being aimed higher this time and can wrap this up if she turns
- LOKIE KADESH – Has started to show form again following a lean autumn. Pleased on sole start over the main track but is not a priority
- LEGENDE SEVEN – Talented filly that has clearly lost her way but JMB puts himself back in the bike and can begin to put things right
- LILI BROAY – Unlucky 4th in a Class E over the inner course on 10 November before faulting early over 2700m a fortnight later. Is proven over 2100m here and will not be far from the action if Alexis Collette assures her initial strides
- LUCKIS – Twice impressive in the provinces before losing her action early here on 25 November. Reverts to a previous formula but is unlikely to create an upset
- LYLOU DES THUYAS – Considerably better behind LOUISIANE LEMAN (11) late last month than her 7th place would suggest. Tends to prefer a longer trip but has buckets of ability and a place in first 5 is well within her capability
- LOUISIANE LEMAN – Showed improvement over 2700m here on 2nd start back. Will be fully-fit by now and should have a decent chance of winning this
- LIO DE PIENCOURT – Very disappointing since returning from her summer break. Placed in 1 of 2 starts under these conditions but in current form is hard to recommend
Summary: An excellent servant when focused, LIBERTE HAUFOR (5) comes to Vincennes on the back of a commanding performance at Amiens and although unconfirmed racing left-handed, she sports a new configuration and is easy to fancy for the double. She will still come under pressure from the likes of the well-entered and fresh LOUISIANE LEMAN (11) who has form under these conditions, and LOUISIANE GIRL (1) who returns barefoot to the harness code with Eric Raffin in the bike. LILI BROAY (8) can prove a handful but should appreciate this shorter trip and Alexis Collette gets the nod this time.

C6 – PRIX DE CANCALE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - MAMMA MIA – Handy but delicate filly starting for first time since August and is not about to make any waves
- MONA D’AVRIL – Opened her 2025 account when comfortably winning a 2150m Enghien Class D on 26 October. Comes here fresh but appears to be taking on too much
- MYRTILLE MARBOULA – Courageous 6th behind MARINELLA VRIE (10), at 119-1, here on 1 December, but a repeat seems most unlikely
- MOANA MESLOISE – Should not be too hastily-condemned for finishing down the field behind MOUSKIE DE GUEZ (7) here on 22 November. Has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for the occasion and victory is not out of the question
- MACANA MONNERIE – Takes a dip in category after running 6th behind MOUSKIE DE GUEZ (7) in a Class A over track and trip on 21 November. Is patently better than that though and will not be far from the action if kept out of trouble
- MADNESS SAM – Capable filly but has yet to show any liking for the main track and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- MOUSKIE DE GUEZ – Produced a trio of good course-and-distance performances before being eliminated in a Class B here on 1 December. Jean-Michel Bazire in the bike this time and has a realistic chance of setting the record straight
- MAMJACK SACHA – Undeniably capable but has failed to deliver so far this term and will need to show improvement on latest run behind MARINELLA VRIE (10)
- MUNIA – Has taken her game to a new level lately, most recently 2nd of 7 finishers in a 2175m Class B here on 8 November, and in similar shape can figure prominently
- MARINELLA VRIE – Unlucky 4th in a Class B over course and distance on 1 December. Put in a good finish all the same and can make a big splash if Mathieu Mottier keeps her out of harm’s way
- MARINA JAMES – In the frame in 4 prior to coming 4th of 10 in a Châtelaillon Class C on 9 November. Is unlikely to get her nose in front but can still pick up a first-5 cheque
- MIDNIGHT EXPRESS – 4th of 9, a place behind MOUSKIE DE GUEZ (7), in a Class A under these conditions on 22 November. Alexandre Abrivard keeps the faith but looks no more than a minor place chance
Summary: It may have taken some time but MOUSKIE DE GUEZ (7) finally got her game together this autumn, and with JMB back in the bike can make up for faulting here early this month. 4th that day after having won a Class D in mid-November, MARINELLA VRIE (10) is clearly a contender, as is MOANA MESLOISE (4) who benefits from an Eric Raffin drive this time. MACANA MONNERIE (5) has yet to deliver at Vincennes but she was not far off the mark here 3 weeks ago and will be expected to finish in the mix.

C7 – PRIX DE CLAMART – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class R Claiming – Harness – EUR € 18,000 - LOLITA DE JEMAX – Unexceptional and complicated filly that has not made her presence felt for some time and is not about to spice things up
- LYS PETTEVINIERE – Has started to show form in the provinces, latterly running 4th in a Nantes Class E early this month. Cannot be considered a priority but is still worth monitoring
- LIPINSKA – 6th to LAIKA DES MARES (8) in a 2100m claimer over the inner course here on 25 November. Is not the worst horse in the field but still needs to find more
- LUPIN DE BEAUFOUR – Returns to Paris after getting a pair of runs under his belt. Has decent references at a superior level and should figure prominently
- LUNE DU DOUET – Won an Agen claimer on 3 November and most recently ran 5th to LAIKA DES MARES (8) in a 2100m claimer over the inner course here on 25 November. Sports pads again but not an obvious choice this time around
- LUDIVER DES VAUX – Delicate sort that has been off the boil since September 2024 and is unlikely to have many friends in the markets
- LOZEN DE BANVILLE – Came 2nd in a 2850m claimer over the inner course before running courageous 5th of 12 in a 2100m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Is clearly in good shape and has every chance of picking up some prizemoney
- LAIKA DES MARES – Put on quite the show when securing a 2100m claimer over the inner course here on 25 November. Simply excels in this category and looks principal threat to LEADER DE JOUDES (12)
- LINDSTEDT – Made up for a pair of eliminations when 4th to LAIKA DES MARES (8) in a 2100m claimer over the inner course here on 25 November. Is unlikely to repeat but will still generate some interest
- LANNISTER D’AVRIL – 3rd in a 2100m claimer here in September but out of the picture in next 3 and will need to get his house in order
- LARIFLETTE – Was flying when unluckily eliminated a 2100m claimer over the inner course here on 25 November. Is hard to fault in the claiming division and, if kept out of harm’s way, will have a major part to play
- LEADER DE JOUDES – Group-class individual that should not be too quickly-condemned for latest Class B performance here. Is head-and-shoulders better than the opposition and can expect the lion’s share of support
Summary: By some margin the most accomplished horse here, LEADER DE JOUDES (12) takes a massive drop in category and should have this in the bag. Young Theo Duvaldestin will still be mindful of LAIKA DES MARES (8) who has won 3 of her last 4 claiming starts, and the somewhat trickier LARIFLETTE (11) who seldom puts a foot wrong when focused. LUPIN DE BEAUFOUR (4) has a pair of conditioners in her since the long break and at this level will have no excuse for failing to deliver.

C8 – PRIX DE TOURCOING – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - INVICTUS DU DOLLAR – Previously a good sort but has struggled for some time and can be confidently ruled out
- INVICTUS DE NILREM – Failed to confirm Le Croise-Laroche victory when 7th behind INTREPIDE DES BOIS (3) here early last month, and is unlikely to cause an upset
- INTREPIDE DES BOIS – Left a good impression under these conditions here in early-November. Failed to repeat at Cherbourg but is plainly in form and from the front row can give this a good go
- IMPACT PLAYER – More dependable since returning to racing barefoot, most recently running 4th to IDYLLE EXPRESS (13) over track and trip 2 weeks ago. Has ground to make up but can still finish in the mix
- IRIS INTENSE – Not the most dependable of horses but has decent course-and-distance references, will be fully-fit, and with a 25m head-start must be considered a serious proposition
- ICE HAUFOR – Has done nothing noteworthy since imposing at Pornichet last August and will have nothing to contribute
- GISARO – Not the most reliable horse here but ran 3rd to IDYLLE EXPRESS (13) over track and trip 2 weeks ago. Is nicely-entered on the front line but looks a minor place chance at best
- INTOUCHABLE – Courageous type that ran 5th to IDYLLE EXPRESS (13) in race of reference. Will be barefoot with Benjamin Rochard in the bike this time but may just be taking on too much
- GILBERTO – Returns to Paris after having produced some good performances in the south of the country. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike but others still easier to back
- HIGH PROPULSION – Has been giving a good account at a superior level recently. Boasts excellent credentials under these conditions and will be no pushover
- IMPERATOR D’ELA – In the frame in last 2, latterly 3rd in a Class C over course and distance. Drops marginally in category and looks a decent first-5 chance once more
- GUERRIER CASTELETS – Gave a fine account on re-entry when 4th in a 2100m Class C here late last month, finishing ahead of HIGH PROPULSION (10), and with form maintained can repeat
- IDYLLE EXPRESS – Facile winner of a competitive Class D under these conditions late last month. Is 2 for 2 with JMB and a 3rd success could well be on the cards
- IACYNTHE DIDJEAP – Out of the picture in last 2, but drops down the category-ladder and with Eric Raffin reining will should prove competitive for the win. Chance
Summary: IRIS INTENSE (5) has three conditioners in him since returning from a lengthy layoff, will be competitively-shod for his return to conditions he appreciates, and starting from the front line can win this. That said, he nevertheless faces stiff opposition from 2nd row starters IDYLLE EXPRESS (13), who met no resistance over course and distance a fortnight ago, and the ideally-engaged, and reconfigured, IACYNTHE DIDJEAP (14) who seldom disappoints for Eric Raffin. HIGH PROPULSION (10) takes a dip in category after 2 solid efforts here, as does IMPERATOR D’ELA (11) who is clearly back on track.
