    Summary: TIGRESS DU BERLAIS (5) could be the answer to this open handicap hurdle. She has shaped well with two placed runs at this track, the most recent in mid-March when fourth in a Listed hurdle in mid-March behind her main threat NO LIMITS STEVE (1), who won a that Listed hurdle. He has risen in the weights but can be competitive. MAHARAJA (2) has placed form at this track and should have a say in proceedings. SAINT GENY (7) ran well to be second last time behind NO LIMITS STEVE (1) and should be on the premises. TROUBLEINPARADISE (8) is also worth a mention.

    Summary: MAMALAND (9) ran a good third last time on her second attempt over fences after a mishap at this track on her chasing bow. She won a Class 2 hurdle at this track and was Listed placed. She should be able to repel her rivals. MARBRE ROSE AA (2) has been in terrific form with three wins in a row and can make the selection work hard. MAGIC BEDE (1) can improve further from a recent success at Nantes last month and be competitive. MOZAMBIQUE (3) heads the rest.

Down in class he is preferred ahead of KAPTEEN (8), who ran well over hurdles when second in a Listed hurdle at this track last year.     Summary: TAVACO (1) fluffed his lines last time, but won well before that in Class 3 chase at this track in late February. He can put in a clear round of jumping today and score at the expense of VOLCANA DU BERLAIS (2), who has not been seen since a decent third in a Listed chase at this track in October. NADAL HAS (5) has been highly tried in a Listed and Grade 2 hurdle on both starts. He has the size and scope to do well over fences. PAQUISTO (6) makes up the shortlist.

    Summary: JEWEL DE KERZA (4) is improving with racing and can win again after success at Le Lion D’Angers on April 5th in a Class 3 chase last time after making a mistake at the last that day. She can edge this over KARAM LE ROUGE (6), who ran well to be second at this track in a Class 2 chase back in September last year. He should be fit enough to be competitive. LALOI (8) ran well to be second in March at Compiegne and can be on the premises. LIEUTENANT PLAYER (5) heads the rest.

  3. BOSIOH – Did not show his best when 7th at this level at Le Croisé-Laroche over 2500m on 4 April. Could prefer the PSF but can contest the finish
  4. WILD WEST – Dislodged the rider last time out in a claimer at Le Croisé-Laroche over 1800m on 4 April. Battling to find best form and others make more appeal
  5. GIRAFFE – Unreliable but did finish fourth in a Conditions race at Cavaillon over 2200m on 29 March. Capable of being a threat to these rivals
  6. MASINDHAL – Has only been modest of late and finished tenth in a Conditions race at Marseille-Vivaux over 1500m on 22 March. Has done well in this division before and is not out of it
  7. AMRITA – Very consistent and finished third in a handicap at Compiègne over 2400m on 27 March. Should be right there at the finish yet again
    Summary: In excellent form this year, USER KINDLY (1) will be aiming to bring up a fourth victory and sets a solid standard for the race. AMRITA (7), partnered by Cristian Demuro, looks the main danger and should not go down without a fight. BOSIOH (3) is likely to be ridden patiently and could finish strongly if the pace collapses late on. INTERSTELLA (2), although possibly better suited by a slightly longer trip, still has the consistency to get involved with the finish.

  12. LE LANDIN – Did not show his best when 7th in a claimer at Chantilly over 1300m on 27 February. Likely to do better this time and has claims
  13. GREY REIGN – Finished fourth on debut in a claimer at Lyon-La Soie over 1800m on 8 November. Returns from a break and is not out of it
  14. SHATIVA – Only modest so far and finished 7th in a claimer at Cavaillon over 1600m on 29 March. Needs to find a few lengths to score
  15. SATOSHI – Has not shown much yet and was unplaced in a handicap at Chantilly over 1500m on 21 November. More is needed to beat these rivals
    Summary: After being only moderate at a higher level, LE DOC (2) should be capable of bouncing back in this claimer and looks well placed to make his presence felt. Back on turf and fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, LE LANDIN (5) could pose a serious threat. I AM STILL STANDING (1) is admirably consistent and should give another honest account, while ZAKIYYAH GOLD (4) was far from disgraced on her debut at this level at Chantilly and can do even better this time around.

BOIS REGNY (16), at the bottom of the weights, is not the most straightforward but could be interesting with cheekpieces fitted for the first time. JOURY (6) competed in strong fields last season and makes a much-anticipated return. Now back on a more favourable mark, NOFIX (3) also deserves a mention in a competitive lucky last race.

    Summary: This race could produce an exciting finish but it is KASH QUICK (12) who gets the nod. He has built up an excellent rapport with driver Clément Duvaldestin and the manner of his last victory gives an indication he could double up. The main dangers look to be KEROSEN DU GERS (5), who proved he had returned to form with a victory last time, KETBERNY (2), who is looking for three in a row with Benjamin Rochard, and KNOK (8), who could battle to overcome his starting position.

    Summary: Another highly competitive event and there are many with chances. LOUP D’ARDENNES (8) is in good form and looks well positioned to score. LOUIS QUATORZE (17) is perfectly placed to win a race of this nature while LEOPARD WIT (14) is a better performer than his last run may indicate. This also looks an ideal race for LUMIZIANA (18) to pick up another win and she has Benjamin Rochard in the driver’s seat once again.

    Summary: A very competitive-looking race where several hold realistic claims. MAVERICK DE FAEL (18) has shown ability and, with the benefit of racing barefoot on his return, could be primed to strike. MUST DREAM (11) remains unreliable but is capable of featuring prominently when in the right mood. MAZEPPA DU VIVIER (14) brings admirable consistency and should be in the mix once more, while MELICIANA (15) is expected to strip fitter after her comeback run and is another to consider

    Summary: A very open-looking event where several bring solid claims. NOBLE QUEEN (11) is improving steadily and looks ready to get her head in front. NOSTALGIQUE JAYF (5) put up an improved performance last time out and must be respected on that evidence. NATALIA MELODY (15) drops back in trip after a good recent run at this track and could go one better. NYMERIA DU PONT (7) made a winning debut and her latest disqualification is best overlooked.

  124. KRONOS D’ERPION – In good shape and was runner-up in a class E at Rouen-Mauquenchy over 2150m on 2 April. Should be competitive once again
    Summary: A very tricky lucky last where confidence is limited and several arrive with chances. I PLAY POKER (4) has been admirably consistent of late and gets the nod to go one better, with Quentin Verneuil in the sulky. JUNIOR DU CHATELET (5) is expected to strip fitter for his recent outing and looks a serious player. KRONOS D’ERPION (16) remains in good heart and would not be a surprise winner, while the unreliable JENKA DE MORMOULIN (9) has the ability to land a race like this if putting it all together.
