C1 – PRIX DE CHATEAU-DU-LOIR – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000

  1. GALOPIN DE CONDE – Holding form and finished 4th in class E at Châtelaillon-La Rochelle over 2500m on 5 April. Returns barefoot and can earn some more money
  2. HOUSTON DE CUIGNY – Off form and finished 9th in class F at Rambouillet over 2800m on 12 April. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  3. HENRIQUE – In good form and finished 3rd in class E at Feurs over 2850m on 20 April. Can contest the finish once again
  4. HALTESS GRIFF – Unreliable but finished 3rd in class E at Castillonnes over 2450m on 26 April. Is barefoot but more is needed to win this race
  5. HORACE D’ARTHENAY – Not reliable and finished 10th in class E at this course over 2700m on 17 July. Needs to find a few lengths to score
  6. GENERAL D’AMOUR – Did not show his best when 8th in class E at this course over 2700m on 17 April. Successful back in March and can make the frame
  7. HA YES MAX – Unreliable but finished 3rd in class C at Castillonnes over 2450m on 5 April when barefoot. Has shown improvement but this is a tougher race
  8. HIBISCUS DE LATOM – Needed the last run when 8th in class E at Amiens over 2900m on 11 April. Fitter this time but others are preferred
  9. HOLLYWOOD BOND – Needed the last run when 10th in class E at Chartres over 2825m on 26 April. Barefoot this time and could be a real threat
  10. HERAKLION DESBOIS – Has only been modest this year and was 6th in class E at Laval over 2850m on 11 March. Did better last year and is not out of it
  11. HIRIUS DE GUEZ – Disappointing of late and finished 10th in class E at Graignes over 2700m on 4 April. Victorious twice already this year and can bounce back to score
  12. HURLEVENT – Disqualified in class E at Ecommoy over 2750m on 6 April. Hard to trust but can play a minor role when smart
  13. HUDSON BAIE – Finished 6th in class E at Graignes over 2700m on 4 April. Remains barefoot but needs to improve to score
  14. FAXIMA – Has only been fair of late and finished 6th in class E at Cholet over 2800m on 6 April. May need to do more to beat these rivals
  15. HUGO D’HERTALS – Not reliable but was runner-up at Wolvega over 2600m on 10 April. Victorious back in February and has a winning chance
  16. HOUPETTE ROSE – Has struggled of late and finished 12th in class E at Feurs over 2850m on 20 April. Returns barefoot but others make more appeal
    Summary: A very tricky opening event. HUGO D’HERTALS (15) is unreliable but did only find one better on the day last time out and could go one place better. HENRIQUE (3) has been in good form of late and can challenge for top honours in a race of this nature. HERAKLION DES BOIS (10) is better judged on his form last year and must be respected for that. HOLLYWOOD BOND (9) races without shoes this time around, so expect improvement and possibly a winning turn.

  19. LIBERTY AVENUE – Showed some improvement when 5th in class E at La Capelle over 2750m on 19 April. Has room to improve and might play a minor role
  20. LUCKY STAR JIEL – Only modest of late and finished 7th in class E at La Capelle over 2750m on 19 April. Needs to do more to beat these rivals
  21. LEA GIBUS – Disqualified in class E at Caen over 2450m on 25 April. Victorious back in February and is capable of scoring when staying in stride
  22. LA TRINITE NEMO – Unreliable but was a runner-up in class E at Ecommoy over 2750m on 5 April. Has a place chance in this line-up
  23. LATINA JENILOU – Not reliable and was 8th in class E at this course over 2175m on 10 April. Victorious back in January and is capable of making the frame
  24. LYLOU DES THUYAS – Unreliable but was runner-up in class E at Enghien over 2150m on 16 April. Has shown improvement and is barefoot. Go close again
  25. LIBERTE DE L’AUNAY – In good form and was runner-up in class E at Pontchâteau over 2800m on 12 April. Has claims in this line-up
  26. LUNE LUMALO – Unreliable and finished 4th in class E at Reims over 2550m on 23 April. Victorious back in January but this is a tougher task
  27. LEONTINE CASH – Needed the last run when 6th in class E at Le Croisé-Laroche over 2825m on 30 March. Victorious back in October and can contest the finish, barefoot this time
  28. LOVE ME BERRY – Unreliable and finished 6th in class E at this course over 2175m on 10 April. Capable of an upset this longer distance
    Summary: A competitive-looking race. LIBERTÉ DE L’AUNAY (9) remains in very good shape and gets a narrow vote to score. LÉONTINE CASH (11) is barefoot and fitter this time, so should fight out the finish. LYLOU DES THUYAS (8) put in a decent enough performance at Enghien and would not be a surprise victor but is unreliable. LATINA JENILOU (7) is best judged on her win in January and is another that must be respected.

  34. MIDNIGHT EXPRESS – Holding form and finished 4th in class C at Feurs over 2850m on 20 April. Might play a minor role at very best
  35. METIDJA – Did not show her best when 11th in Class A over this course and distance on 21 March. Barefoot and capable of striking
  36. MARA BEST – Disqualified in class A at this course over 2700m on 25 January. Hard to trust but has a place chance on best form
  37. MYSTERY QUEEN – Victorious in Class C over this track and trip on 7 April. Has improved since going barefoot and could follow up
  38. MARINELLA VRIE – Victorious in Class B over this track and trip on 12 December. Clearly talented and is a threat if fit enough
  39. MOSAIC LIFE – Disqualified four times in a row, the latest at this course over 2850m on 31 January. Can be a threat if staying on the trot
  40. MARGAUX DES ARRIS – Unreliable and finished 5th in class B at Toulouse over 2950m on 17 April. Quite capable of making the frame
  41. MARILOU – Showed some improvement when 3rd in class A over this track and trip on 21 March. Should fight out the finish
    Summary: MARILOU (13) showed some improvement over this track and trip in March and should make a bold bid to beat these rivals. MARINELLA VRIE (10) returns from a break but has shown talent and is capable of being a lively danger if fit enough. MOSAIC LIFE (11) is clearly hard to trust but is capable of making the frame when staying in stride. MARGAUX DES ARRIS (12) is unreliable but is also capable of being competitive this time around.

  44. HURRICANE CARTER – Disqualified at this track on 17 April. Clearly better than that and has a good record barefoot so must be respected
  45. GALA DE CRENNES – Did not show his best when 11th in a Group 3 at Lyon-Parilly over 2825m on 8 April. Did win his penultimate start but others are preferred
  46. IDYLLE EXPRESS – Not disgraced when 4th in a Class B at this track over 2700m on 21 March. Better this distance and can bounce back to score
  47. INDUS VAL – Disqualified at Cavaillon on 7 April. In good form before that and could earn some money when staying on the job
  48. JE REVE DU BOIS – Unreliable but finished 5th in a Class A at this track over 2850m on 17 April. Not disgraced that day and has a place chance
  49. INDY ROCK – Disqualified three times in a row, the latest at this track on 21 March. Hard to trust and others make more appeal
  50. IBIZA BELLA – Unreliable but was a winner of a Class B over this track and trip on 11 April. Might just well follow up
  51. COLBERT WF – Not reliable and finished 5th in a Class C at Enghien over 2150m on 18 April. Needs to do a bit more to beat these rivals
  52. INDY DARK – Only modest of late and finished 6th in as Class B over this course and distance on 11 April. Needs to find a few lengths to win
  53. HAMILTON DU HAM – Showed some improvement when 4th in a Class B over this course and distance on 11 April. Can get involved with the finish
  54. JEANNETTE PRIORY – Disqualified at Toulouse on 10 April. Unreliable and is probably best watched until improvement is shown
  55. IN RED – Needed the last run when 9th in a Class A at this track over 2850m on 17 April. Has won over this course and distance and should be a threat
  56. GORDON MIJACK – Disqualified at this track on 11 April. Is battling to find best form and others make much more appeal in this line-up
  57. INDIGO DE FONTAINE – Disqualified at Cagnes-sur-Mer on 8 March. Unreliable but is capable of winning when staying in stride
    Summary: DYLLE EXPRESS (5) has improved a lot over the winter, notably catching the eye in the G.1 Prix de Paris against top-class opposition. Freshened up since finishing fourth on March 21, she returns to a track she clearly relishes (three wins) and should once again be finishing to good effect. HURRICANE CARTER (3) has been carefully primed for this valuable opportunity, while IN RED (14) is expected to strip fitter for a needed return and is now presented in full race mode. INDIGO DE FONTAINE (16) has the ability but remains a question of temperament. HAMILTON DU HAM (12), a proven specialist over shorter trips, also commands respect.

  67. MENTOR DE PLAY – Unbeaten in four starts this year, the latest in a Class A at this track over 2850m on 4 April. Can add another win to tally
  68. MAGICO DE LOU – Showed some improvement when runner-up in a Class A at this track over 2850m on 4 April. Can go one place better
  69. MY PRINCESS – Not reliable and finished 8th in a Group 2 at Enghien over 2875m on 18 April. Capable of an upset over this course and distance
  70. MIDWAY LADY – Disqualified at Enghien on 18 April. Yet to win a race but is capable of making the frame when staying in stride
    Summary: A tricky lucky last race. LESTRU (2) was capable of scoring in both races in which he fell and could bounce back to make amends if smarter. LASCAR D’AIRY (9) showed some improvement last time out and could be ready for a handicap victory. ASTORIUS (4) is usually competitive and should be right there at the finish yet again. MISS ALTEA BLUE (6) is clearly better than what she showed last time out and could be a threat.

  82. LOMBOK JIEL – Showed his best form when successful in a Group 2 at this track over 2700m on 11 April. Capable of doubling up
    Summary: LANCIER DU GOUTIER (10) was runner-up behind LOMBOK JIEL (12) when they met at this course a few weeks ago. He could take revenge over this longer distance. LOMBOK JIEL (12) should not go down easily, though, and must be respected. L’AS DESBOIS (9) was not disgraced when third behind those two rivals and could hold that position again. LORD DU BASSIN (4) fluffed his lines with a disqualification in that race and can be a threat if smarter this time.

    Summary: JOLIE STAR (6) has impressed of late with some good successes and has every chance of completing her hat-trick. KELLE BEAUTÉ (8) is game and consistent and can challenge for top honours yet again. KHAL’S FELLA (11) was not disgraced over this course and distance last time out and can be competitive. INDIEN DE FONTAINE (5) showed some improvement at Cordemais and is also capable of making the frame once again.

    Summary: JACARANDA (4) continues to notch up success after success and looks likely to add this to his ever-growing list. KAPAULA DE L’EPINE (13) is not reliable but was not disgraced last time out and is dropping in class, so if there is going to be a threat to JACARANDA (4), it could be her. KAYA DREAM (3) faulted last time out at Écommoy but is capable of contesting the finish if showing her best under-the-saddle form. IT’S MY DREAM (5) could also show improvement over this course and distance.

    Summary: A very open lucky last race. Thierry Duvaldestin could hold the key though. KATCHI QUICK (8) seems better over further but might follow up on a good recent win at Cholet. JUST A LADY (DEN) (1) races without shoes and is capable of striking. KRYSTAL PIYA (3) is usually competitive and arrives for this race after a solid performance over this track and trip, so has claims of scoring. KINGSLAND DE SIMM (7) is also in good form and capable of shining brightly.

  1. MASTER BLASTER – Ran well to be 2nd last time over 3500m at this track in a Class 2 chase on April 13th. Still searching for his first success
  2. VOLODYMYR – Fell last time on April 15th, 3rd previously over 3500m at Dieppe in a Class 2 chase on August 31st. Others rate higher
  3. SANGRE DE DRAGO – Three unplaced runs this year, 5th on the latter over 3600m at this track in a claiming chase on April 9th. Look for an alternative
  4. SHADES – Recent success over 3600m at Fontainebleau in a Class 3 chase on April 15th. Solid contender and can not be ruled out
  5. HIGH THE MOON – Placed on all three runs over hurdles, 2nd on the latter in a Class 3 race over 3400m at Dieppe on June 19th. Can be expected to be well schooled for his chase debut and be fit to go

  42. NIGHT OF THE OPERA – Ran 5th in a Handicap over 1600m at Lyon Parilly on 18 April. Has some reasonable form at this course and that puts him in the picture
    Summary: This is a Handicap Claiming race and the level of competitors is very low so it could come down to who has the best of luck on the day. MAGIC TREVILLE (4) has shown some level of ability and this gives her an ideal chance to pick up a victory. CHIVERE (5) has not shown much recently but her rating has come down and if she can reproduce her old form she could be there. NIGHT OF THE OPERA (7) has run ell at this course while DAYTON (6) showed improvement last time.

  43. LE DOC – A narrow winner of a Claimer over 1600m at Lyon Parilly on 13 April. He performed well at this level last tie and can win again
  44. NOCTURNE BLOU – A 2-length winner of a Claimer over 1500m at this course on 16 December. She is coming back from a break but won well enough last time to give her a chance
  45. HORNIG – Finished 11th in a Claimer over 1200m at Fontainebleau on 20 April. He will be having his first start for trainer Christophe Escuder and should run well at this level
  46. BEWARE OF THE BEAR – A mediocre 7th in a Handicap over 1200m at Evreux on 15 April. He could have a place chance in this field
  47. TEMADIVA – Finished 13th in a Handicap over 1400m at ParisLongchamp on 26 April. Has performed well on this course and could be competitive
    Summary: Dropping to this level for the first time LE DOC (1) won well and could quite easily follow up. HORNIG (3), who is also now trained by Christophe Escuder, could provide the main challenge dropping in class. NOCTURNE BLOU (2) has been off since December but did end the season with a win at this course so could run fresh. BEWARE OF THE BEAR (4) could mount a challenge.

  48. HEPBURN – A decent 4th in a Handicap over 2100m at Marseille Borely on 3 April. Has run well trying further and could be a factor
  49. PERSIANA – A 0.75-length winner of a Handicap over 1800m at Salon-Provence on 16 April. Will be a factor in this race if she sees out the trip
  50. BASQUIAT – A one-length winner of a Maiden over 2600m at Marseille Borely on 3 April. That was only his third run and having finished 2nd over this track and trip previously looks the one to beat
  51. CATHERINE LA MER – A 0.75-length 2nd in a Handicap over 2100m at Marseille Borely on 3 April. She looks to have ability but is unknown over the distance
  52. COUNSELOR – Finished 7th in a Handicap over 1800m at Salon Province on 16 April. Was beaten by PERSIANA (2) but could improve at this course over the extra distance
  53. TOREBEK – Beaten just over 4 lengths when 4th in a Claimer over 2400m at Salon Provence on 16 April. Has more to do this time
    Summary: The pace could well decide this Handicap with a small field but BASQUIAT (3) comes off a win over this distance in only his third run and looks to be progressive. Both CATHERINE LA MER (4) and PERSIANA (2) bring good form into this race but both will be tested over this distance. COUNSELO (5), is held on form but could improve over this course and distance.
