His latest success came in the Criterium International (Gr.1) a Saint-Cloud on October 26th over 1600m. He will be fit from a break and is preferred ahead of RAYIF (2), who was third in the Prix Jean Luc Lagardre (Gr.1) on October 5th behind PUERTO RICO (7). C1 – PRIX DECORATION MATERIAUX ATLANTIQUE – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class G Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 6,000
- IMPOLOKO – Modest element coming here after 3 straight eliminations this year and can be confidently disregarded
- JASMIN DU ROCHER – Has amateur references but has disappointed on the whole this year and is not about to shake things up
- JIPSIE DU LAYON – Has taken well to the amateur category, most recently running 4th in a Challans Class G. Starts in front and can compete for some minor honours
- ICK DU VIVIER – Sent for a short break after running 4th in an amateurs Class F at Cagnes in late-February. Comes here fresh and in this company looks the main danger to JOUR DE JUIN (5)
- JOUR DE JUIN – Serious trotter that had hardly put a foot wrong in this category until faulting when full of running over course and distance 9 days ago. Has nothing to prove when shod and can make amends. Claim
- JAMES DU PADOUENG – Failed to confirm his Beaumont-de-Lomagne victory when eliminated at Agen 3 weeks ago. Enjoys a front-row start here and, barefoot for the occasion, is unlikely to be far from the action
- JOLLY DES BORDES – Makes amateur debut following some unexceptional runs in the professional ranks, and is unlikely to set off any fireworks
- JAZZ DE GUINETTE – Enjoys a good entry in front but finished last but one here on 1 May and appears to have no possible chance
- GAPACHE DE HOUELLE – Has demonstrated excellent aptitude at this level but is still being conditioned and would be preferred barefoot going clockwise
- IGOR DE BOITRON – Made short work of his comeback run, comfortably securing an amateurs Class G at Royan a week ago. Is again on the back line and must still be respected
- HERMAU DE SUZON – Showed improvement when 4th to IGOR DE BOITRON (10) at Royan last weekend, however a repeat seems improbable
- JAHINA VITA – Will be competitively-shod for first objective of the spring. Ran 2nd on sole association with her amateur and despite the penalty is still competitive for a place on the podium
- IZAAC D’HAVAROCHE – Has done little of note for some time but trainer could not have wished for a better entry. Tends to go well for his driver and should not be overlooked
Summary: Very much at home in the amateur division, JOUR DE JUIN (5) was travelling well when eliminated here early this month and, with 25m fewer to travel, and shoes back on, can set the record straight. ICK DU VIVIER (4) was sent for a short spell following a fine run of form, but is clearly in race-mode and did impose last time at the venue. JAHINA VITA (12) is very hard to fault in the day’s configuration and even from the back line looks a player. IGOR DE BOITRON (10) similarly incurs the handicap but he won with ease at Royan and will be reconfigured

C2 – PX MUTUELLE POITIERS – EMMANUELLE SARRAF – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Mounted – EUR € 20,000 - L’AMOUR DU PONT – Modest individual making first appearance of the year and is not about to influence the result
- LABEL DE CHENU – Has never really excelled in this branch of the business and recent Jallais sanction does little to inspire confidence
- LOULOU D’ORTUGE – Twice a winner under the saddle but would be preferred racing right-handed at a lower level
- LIBERATOR PHEDO – Like a horse reborn since moving yards. Steps up in category but clearly has untapped potential and looks thoroughly capable of bringing home the bacon
- LANINO – Imposed at Le Croise-Laroche in March on her sole barefoot start, and with Eric Raffin in the saddle could well bring the fight to LIBERATOR PHEDO (4)
- LINE GASCOGNE – Has not been at her sharpest this year but has a lot more going for her than she did here 2 weeks ago and has a reasonable chance of challenging for a place in the picture
- LOKO – Had been on a productive run of form until losing his action early in a Cordemais Class F 3.5 weeks ago. With stride in check though, should make amends and finish in the mix
- LILY DES CARREAUX – No champion but can trot. Is barefoot following a pair of conditioners and while not a priority is still worth keeping an eye on
- LYNX GRIFF – Takes first competitive monte steps, with front shoes back on. Is confirmed under harness here and is eminently capable of picking up a first-5 payout
Summary: Judiciously purchased out of a Meslay-du-Maine claimer in early-April, LIBERATOR PHEDO (4) has looked a different horse since. She is thriving under the saddle and in current condition is going to take all the beating. Barefoot as he was when clinching victory at Le Croise-Laroche in late-March, LANINO (5) will be ridden by Eric Raffin this time and looks the principal threat. Yet to lose his maiden tag, and quickly eliminated at Cordemais, LOKO (7) is still an honest individual and has been reconfigured for his debut at the venue. LINE GASCOGNE (6) is no champion but sports modified shoeing, with Jean-Yann Ricart in the irons, and cannot be discounted.

C3 – PRIX LE BAR DES SPORTS – SAINT LIGUAIRE – 2500m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - NEW ROGER – Was unable to confirm Laval success when one-placed last but one in an Enghien Class D a fortnight back. Is not a priority but can nevertheless hold his own
- NECTAR DU BOCAGE – Got off the mark at Mauquenchy early last month before coming 4th in an Enghien Class C 3 weeks ago. Takes a small dip in category and should prove more competitive. Chance
- NUANCE CASTELETS – Drops back to a more reasonable level after being trounced in a Vincennes Class B in late-March. Showed her form at Enghien and with a top driver in the bike is unlikely to let the side down
- NO RISK FLIGNY – Handy colt returning to racing left-handed after being eliminated in Toulouse a month ago, and may just be taking on too much this time
- NO LIMIT BECO – Qualified respectably mid-April but looked decidedly ordinary on debut over 2625m here earlier in the month and will need to raise his game
- NEEDREAM – No slouch but has not been seen out since January and is going to need the race
- NOBEL SPEED – Quality future prospect that has done everything asked of him to date. Has demonstrated excellent versatility and can make his debut at the venue a winning one
- NASHIRA RUSCINO – Drops marginally down the category-ladder after disappointing at Enghien 3 weeks ago. Eric Raffin in the bike for the first time and could well guide her back into the picture
Summary: Simply excellent since his victorious Chartres debut, NOBEL SPEED (7) just missed out on the hat-trick when headed at Cholet 2 weeks ago and despite the number still looks the one to beat. Jean-Philippe Monclin can still expect to meet opposition from the better-positioned NECTAR DU BOCAGE (2) who should find conditions to his liking, and the Matthieu Abrivard-partnered NUANCE CASTELETS (3) whose Vincennes effort can be ignored.

C4 – PRIX LA MINUTE BLONDE – BESSINES – 2500m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 20,000 - MIKADO – Sent for a rest after winning at Nantes in February. Will have progressed for his return run and the new configuration may be just what the doctor ordered
- MISS IS DU CANET – Unremarkable filly that was thoroughly beaten in a Laval Class E late last month and is not about to spring any surprises
- MERVEILLE DAB – Had previously shown some promise but has been very disappointing over recent months and can be ruled out
- MARQUISE DE STAM – Good future prospect with an ideal spot behind the car. Champion driver reining for the first time and is in with a realistic shout of winning this
- MINDIE DES PRES – Put 3 eliminations behind her to run 6th of 16 in a Caen Class E a fortnight back. Enjoys a good position on the front row and, with application, should prove competitive for a place in the money
- MAYA DU POMMEAU – Not the easiest of horses to handle but has bags of ability. Left a good impression after being eliminated at Laval 2.5 weeks ago and can contest the finish if she keeps her action together
- MARIUS DES TOURS – Won here on debut but has not got his nose in front since. Is serious for the most part though and looks to have the wherewithal to make first 5
- MOGADOR – 16 starts and yet to get off the mark. Is not without merit though and will be shod to preference. Minor place prospect
- MARCO DES GACHERES – Sprang a 21-1 surprise when securing a Caen Class E in March but was trounced under similar conditions 2 weeks ago and can be passed over
- MAHORA D’OURVILLE – Looked very ordinary when last of 5 in a Class E over 2625m here early this month and will have nothing to offer
- MOUSKO DU LUPIN – Has finished just 2 of the 5 races he has run, but possesses considerable ability all the same. Starts on the back row but gets to race competitively-shod for the first time which could make all the difference. Chance
- MEMORIAL – Made up for Chartres elimination when 3rd in a Durtal Class F early this month, but returns to racing shod and others easier to back
Summary: Winner over course and distance last autumn, MARQUISE DE STAM (4) followed that up 1.5 months later at Le Mans. Put away for the winter, she now has a race in her since the break and, competitively-shod with Eric Raffin in the bike, has every chance of staying undefeated here. MAYA DU POMMEAU (6) showed her form after being eliminated at Laval recently and, with stride in check, can apply the pressure. MOUSKO DU LUPIN (11) is forced to start on the 2nd row but he has a lot of potential and will be unshod-behind for his 2026 return. The good MIKADO (1) sports modified shoeing following an encouraging re-entry and must be taken seriously.

C5 – PRIX LMB DISTRIBUTION BOISSONS – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 23,000 - LOUNA CAYENNAISE – Useful sort that recently returned from a lengthy layoff. Is preparing for a campaign in the other code and can be passed over
- LILONA DU PADOUENG – Showed marked improvement when 2nd in a Toulouse claimer last month but in this company has no possible chance
- L’AIR DU TEMPS – Got back in the game late last month when 2nd of 15 in a Cholet Class F. Is new to La Rochelle but with Jean-Philippe Monclin reining will be afforded every chance. Place chance
- LATINO DU LUPIN – Serious type making first start since last October. Is plainly in competition-mode, will have considerable work behind him, and can give LORD DE BRION (9) a run for his money
- LOOKIERO – Eliminated more often than not when barefoot but can trot when focused. Is arguably better racing right-handed but is patently in race-mode for re-entry and is nicely-engaged on the front row. First 5
- LENA ZEN – Ran 2nd here when barefoot prior to coming 8th of 11 in a Class F over 2500m here 2 weeks ago. Front shoes off this time and is unlikely to go home empty-handed
- LEGRAND BRILLOUARD – In the frame in 2 of last 3, latterly 3rd in a 2500m Class F here earlier in the month. Is less competitively-shod and incurs the handicap
- LAMIRAL D’ERABLE – Is better-known for his monte aptitude but has previously delivered in the harness code and in current condition is hard to ignore, even from the back row
- LORD DE BRION – Quality element with a very good barefoot record. Has a race in him following the break and should be good enough to win a race of this nature
Summary: A fine servant that gave a good account here last summer, LORD DE BRION (9) goes barefoot following his return run at Saint-Brieuc 10 days ago, and even from the 2nd row can wrap this up. 25m better off and competitively-shod for his seasonal comeback, LATINO DU LUPIN (4) looks a player, as does a fully-padded LAMIRAL D’ERABLE (8) whose last harness start resulted in 3rd place at Nantes. L’AIR DU TEMPS (3) gave a reassuringly good account at Cholet a fortnight ago and, with form maintained, can again finish in the mix.

C6 – PRIX HARLEY DAVIDSON – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 26,000 - JULIETTA VICI – Lost her action when well-backed here early last month. Reassured somewhat at Langon earlier in the month but is still not an obvious choice
- JULIUS ECUS – Races barefoot for just 2nd time in his career after being eliminated, when going well, in an Enghien amateurs Class F a fortnight ago. Is patently in good shape and, if applied, can get in on the action
- JOHNNY QUICK – Won over course and distance at 23-1 early last month. Failed to confirm at Gournay-en-Bray, but there were reasons, and is not to be underestimated
- JELLY JAMM – Useful on a good day but went off the boil last autumn and will be shod for comeback. Ignore
- JAVANAIS – Honest type that was oddly out of sorts at Maure-de-Bretagne on 24 March. Has otherwise been in decent form on good behaviour can play a small role
- JAG DE BAULON – Lost his way late last season and has picked up this term where he left off. Disregard
- JANA D’ARMOR – Stormed up in a 2850m Lyon-Parilly Class F on 31 March. Has been entrusted to a leading driver this time and is in with a realistic chance of imposing
- JASMIN DU LUPIN – Good dual-discipline trotter with good references here. Is well in on the front row and going barefoot for the occasion will only work to his advantage
- IGOR DU PLANTIS – Has not been seen out since finishing last but one at Toulouse in late-February and has nothing to contribute
- GRANIT DU MONT – Has tended to show more in the claiming division these days and the handicap only compounds matters
- HELLO DE LOIRON – Quality element that ran good 3rd in a Class F over course and distance early this month. Starts on the back row and is unlikely to impose but can nevertheless contest a place on the podium
- JEWEL DE LA COTE – Has returned to the game in good shape following a 13 months hiatus. Appears to be close to his race and despite the penalty looks main danger to JANA D’ARMOR (7)
- JOSS CAPELLO – Complicated but capable trotter that pleased on only start at the venue but recent eliminations do little to inspire confidence
Summary: Following a pair of solid efforts at Nantes and Pontchateau, JANA D’ARMOR (7) secured a well-earned victory at Lyon-Parilly in late-March, and with Matthieu Abrivard reining can double up. JEWEL DE LA COTE (12) is 25m worse off but he is plainly in form and will be reconfigured with Eric Raffin at the helm. Also sporting modified shoeing for the occasion, HELLO DE LOIRON (11) has never disappointed at the venue and made the point early this month. Reliability may not be his strong suit but JASMIN DU LUPIN (8) is barefoot for his return to competition and benefits from a terrific entry.

C7 – GRAND PRIX DYNAVENA – 2625m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 44,000 - KAPITANO DE SOURCE – Excellent at 3 but has done little of note since and is unlikely to spice things up
- XERAVA C.D. – Quality Swedish mare that opened her French account a month back when comfortably securing a Pontchateau Class E, and can figure prominently if she takes to the new conditions
- KANO – Won a Bordeaux Class C prior to running 2nd in a Vincennes Class D on 17 April. Is clearly close to bagging another, has already been successful here, and must be considered a priority
- JERENAL D’HAMELINE – Was unable to confirm Machecoul performance when being prepped at Laval late last month. Won his only start at the venue and will be barefoot for the occasion
- JOLYDOLE – Ran 5th on an inundated Enghien track in March before coming 2nd in a Cordemais Class D mid-April. Eric Raffin in the bike this time but looks a minor place prospect at best on this occasion
- VALLATONIAN – Is reunited with Matthieu Abrivard with whom he excels, is plainly at the top of his game, and with application can make up for his Agen blip
- FIGHTER SIMONI – Has just the one run under his belt since the winter break. Was surprisingly lacklustre in Marseille that day but returns to the harness code with more to contribute
- HEROS DE CHOISEL – Serious sort staying barefoot for return from a break and is here purely for reasons of conditioning
- KENO PETTEVINIERE – Got back in the winners’ circle at Lyon-Parilly 2.5 weeks ago but is clearly taking on too much here
- JOKER DES CHALIERS – Quality element starting for first time since last November. Is shod for the occasion and best to keep one’s powder dry
- IGGY ROCK – Unthreatening 7th of 15 in a Beaumont-de-Lomagne Class D 11 days ago and is not about to cause an upset
- JUSSEO – Was already a classy horse before being injured. Will have significant work behind him and, if close to fit, can still win this
- INSTRUMENTALISTE – Not the most dependable but has ample ability. Has 2 races under his belt by now and, having placed on his sole start at the venue, can play a part, even from the back row
- JAKARTAS DES PRES – Has been rather disappointing so far this term and is unlikely to repeat his recently encouraging run at Bernay
- GRAND TRIO LUDOIS – Nicely-entered here after running 5th in a Cavaillon Class A early last month, but the extra 25m to travel will do him no favours
Summary: Unseen since posting 1’09’7 in victory at Vincennes on Christmas Day 2024, JUSSEO (12) sports a fresh configuration for his much-anticipated return to competition and, considering the entry, can impose. Charley Mottier will still want to be wary of KANO (3) who is a different horse when barefoot, and VALLATONIAN (6) could well have secured the hat-trick had he not faulted at Agen. Shoes off this time, JERENAL D’HAMELINE (4) is significantly better than his latest result would suggest and is unlikely to disappoint.

KANELLE D’OUVILLE (12) faulted in her latest start but is capable of contesting the finish when in the right mood. KATITZI (11) races barefoot this time around, so improvement is likely and she could be a threat. KISS ME JAMINI (13) has been good this year and would not be a surprise winner.

Summary: A very tricky-looking race in which anything is possible. LITTLE CROWN (10) is better than the last run at Vincennes would suggest and could score.
