SOLDIERS HAS STAR APPEAL AT CHELMSFORD

Fine Form
Soldiers Star CC – 6.00
can get off the mark in the 10 Years At Chelmsford City Racecourse Restricted Maiden Stakes.
The three-year-old colt, a son of Soldier’s Call, made his debut in November when contesting a six-furlong Newcastle novice and missed out by just a head as the runner-up.
His next outing was to Wolverhampton to step up to seven furlongs, where he was third when beaten a length under Rossa Ryan.
He steps back down to a six-furlong trip at Chelmsford and with a capable rider on board in Joe Leavy and those two runs under his belt he can get his head in front for the first time.
Ralph Beckett’s
The Outlaw CC – 7.00
gets the nod in the Each Way Extra At bet365 Handicap in the hands of Hector Crouch.
The New Bay colt did not make much of an impact on grass last season, but switched to a synthetic surface early this month to make his all-weather and handicap debut at Southwell.
There he was beaten only half a length when second over seven furlongs and as he returns to the track swiftly he can go one better when stepping up to a mile this time.
At Lingfield it is
Hitched LI – 11.58
who appeals in the Gamble Responsibly At BetUK Handicap.
Trained by David Simcock and ridden by Luke Morris, the five-year-old is highly consistent on the all-weather and has either won or been placed every time in six runs this winter.
Among those performances are two Lingfield successes, and while his mark has risen to reflect the form he is in he still looks like he can win of his current figure of 75.
Moon Over The Sea LI – 12.28
can come out on top in the BetUK: It’s Where The UK Bets Handicap.
The Tony Carroll-trained six-year-old received a 4lb rise for his victory at Wolverhampton last month, but with 3lb claimer Jack Doughty again in the plate he can strike again.
In the Free Bets With BetUK Bet Club Restricted Maiden Stakes it is Richard Hannon’s
Left Over Love LI – 1.28
who can prevail.
The Inns Of Court filly made her debut at Wolverhampton in December, missing out by just a head, and she can make that experience count at the second time of asking under Sean Levey.
The James Owen-trained
Come On John LI – 3.07
can shake off a long run of second-placed performances in division one of the £30 In Free Bets With BetUK Handicap.
Outdone by just one horse on his past four outings, the Kodiac gelding has often only gone down by a small margin and though his mark has been creeping up he has Jordan Williams’ 5lb claim to offset that this time.
