- MISTY QUALITY – 4th on her latest start over 1600m at this track on January 16th. Among the leading each-way chances
- HAPPY SPIRIT – 3rd on her sole start over track and trip on December 12th. Will need to improve to be involved

- PREMONITION – Nice 3rd over 1500m at Deauville on November 29th in a maiden. Can step forward from that and play a lead role
- BELONG TOGETHER – Unraced by Bated Breath, the dam was placed. From a good stable and is one to consider. Watch the betting market
Summary: CLAVIS AUREA (1) showed plenty of ability when she was third over track and trip on her debut last month. She will know what is required and is well drawn in stall 2. KODIACOLOR (2) is a threat and caught the eye when she was second on her debut at Deauville in late November. She is from a shrewd handler who will have this filly ready off an absence. PREMONITION (10) was narrowly behind in third and can be involved. MISS ANGEL (3) was back in fourth and is one to consider.

Summary: Course and distance winner of a Class 2 handicap last March, BAUHINIA RHAPSODY (1) is the tentative selection in an open Class 2 race. He probably has the most to fear from AMERICAN LAWYER (8) who seems to like this track and was a good second recently over 1800m in December. MAGELLAN (5) needed the race last time and will be sharper for that. He was Listed placed in August and warrants respect, despite the drop back in trip. CICCIO BOY (10) heads the rest.

Summary: MARHARRY (2) was a pleasing second over course and distance in December in a handicap and has a favoured draw in stall 3. He can edge this over SEEYOUAGAIN (8) who won on her penultimate start over 1400m at Deauville in mid-December and should be suited by the step up in trip. DREAMS (8) will be competitive and could be the main threat.
