R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DU CANTAL – 2850m (a2m) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 59,000
- GAMIN DU GAULTIER – 4th of 7 finishers in a 3150m Saint-Brieuc Class E on Sunday. David Thomain at the helm this time and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- FRANCO FLEURI – Flattering 5th behind GO TO AMERICA (14) here before running 5th of 16 in a 2800m Vire Class E 3.5 weeks ago, and can expect to find this a stiff test
- GIBALDI DE HOUELLE – 9th of 16 in a 3000m Nantes Class E on 26 January. Off the boil all winter and needs to get his house in order
- GIANA DE MARZY – Would have finished closer than 5th of 8 in a 2100m Class D here on 4 February had she been afforded a run. Entrusted to Gabriele Gelormini for first time and will be expected to contest the finish
- EUNIS DU PATURAL – Hardy sort that ran 3rd of 13, at 55/1, in a 2625m Agen Class B last Saturday. Is confirmed in similar company and although unlikely to spring any surprises, should nevertheless acquit himself honourably
- GEODE DU CHERISAY – Makes Vincennes debut after coming 3rd of 12 in a 2925m Cagnes Class D late last month. Eric Raffin in the bike here and is not one to be overlooked
- GO GO GIGI – Oddly below-par 12th of 13 in a 2100m Class D here on 4 January. Has had time to recalibrate and with Benjamin Rochard reining, will be afforded every chance
- FERGIE HIGHLAND – Out of the picture in last 2, most recently 10th of 16, a place behind GIBALDI DE HOUELLE (3), in a 3000m Nantes Class E on 26 January, and must raise her game
- GAMIN DES ISLES – Has 3 runs in him following a long layoff, latterly 11th of 15 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class D on 9 January. JMB in the bike this time but still not a concern
- GRANIT DU FRESNE – Disqualified at Agen before finishing 12th of 13 finishers behind GO TO AMERICA (14) in a 2700m Class D here on 2 February, and can be confidently passed over
- GRAND TRIO LUDOIS – Like a different horse since changing yards last October, most recently 4th of 13 in a 2925m Cagnes Class D 3 weeks ago. Is new to 2850m of main track but in current shape is easy to like for a big run
- FAVICI PASMARICK – Has not been seen out since finishing 8th of 16 in a 2800m Rambouillet Class E last October. Shoes on and no threat
- GALANT DE BRUYERE – Quality individual that was being prepared for this when 11th of 18 in a 3000m Chateaubriant Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Would prefer a flatter track but is hard to knock when barefoot and focused, and must be taken seriously
- GO TO AMERICA – 6th of 13 finishers in a 2700m Class D here on 2 February. Boasts excellent credentials under these conditions and looks competitive for a place on the podium
- GAROU DU CHENE – Left quite the impression on comeback when 7th of 13 finishers, a place behind GO TO AMERICA (14), in a 2700m Class D here on 2 February. Will have progressed for the run and should have a claim on the silverware
- GET UP DES PLAINES – Back under harness after running 5th of 13 in a 2175m monte Class D here early this month. Cannot be considered a priority but in present form is easy to like for a minor place cheque
Summary: Winner over shorter against the H generation during the autumn, GAROU DU CHENE (15) put in a terrific late surge over 2700m here early this month and could well impose this time. A place ahead of him on that occasion, and barefoot for the occasion, GIANA DE MARZY (4) in reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois and will be no easy touch, but she may first have to defer to the capable GIANA DE MARZY (4) who was unlucky here recently. Seldom far from the action, GALANT DE BRUYERE (13) will have come on for his Chateaubriant conditioner and, with shoes off this time, will be expected to figure prominently.

C2 – PRIX DE MORTAGNE – 2850m (a2m) – Class C Race – Mounted – EUR € 46,000 - KROKEUSE DE DIAM’S – Sanctioned in last 2, latterly a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Has merit but still not easy to recommend
- KINGALO DU CHENE – Sanctioned on re-entry in a 2700m harness Class E here late last month. Shod to preference for return to the code but still no more than a minor place chance
- KLASSIC FROMENTRO – Opened his Vincennes account in a 2700m Class D here on 23 January. Takes on a much tougher field this time though and is unlikely to repeat
- KEPHYR D’ESTE – Going well when sanctioned in a 2700m Class D here late last month. Has been afforded 3 weeks to recalibrate and will be no soft touch if Adrien Lamy keeps him trotting
- KILOU D’YMER – Pleasant 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Appears to be close to his best and, already a barefoot winner here, should be considered a first 5 prospect
- KINOA DU LIVIER – Back under the saddle after running 5th of 13 in a 2150m Cagnes harness Class D on 4 February and is not about to shake things up
- KEROZEN – Missed out by the smallest of margins, on monté debut 12 days ago, in a 2925m Cagnes Class E. Sports a new configuration, Eric Raffin gets the nod, and has a realistic chance of finishing close
- KOH I NOOR – 8th of 14, on return to competition, in a 2700m harness Class D here on 23 January. Shod as he was when imposing here in the autumn and is going to take all the beating
- KOBALT DU VALLON – Failed to confirm early-January performance when 7th of 12 in a Class C under these conditions a month ago, but can still play a role if Alexis Collette keeps him focused
- KENTUCKY FIRST – Has taken to the ridden code like a duck to water, most recently 2nd of 11 in a 2700m Class C here on 7 January. Comes here fresh and will be expected to contest the finish
Summary: Sent for a spell after securing his monté debut here late-November, KOH I NOOR (8) will have come on for his harness re-entry run, has been reconfigured for the occasion, and can expect to garner the lion’s share of support. Mathieu Mottier will want to keep a watchful eye on the dependable and well-engaged KENTUCKY FIRST (10) who appears to have found his calling, and KEPHYR D’ESTE (4) who experienced his first barefoot contretemps three weeks ago.

C3 – PRIX DE GRAIGNES – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 38,000 - MARADONA ELLIS – Left a very good impression in a 2150m Cagnes Class F on debut 9 days ago. Will have progressed for the run and can make a big splash if he stays focused
- MIGNON DES MACE – Honest type that ran 4th of 10 behind MELKIOR DE BAILLY (3) in a 2200m Class C here 3 weeks ago, and will need to find considerably more
- MELKIOR DE BAILLY – Defied his 24/1 to run 3rd of 10 in a 2100m Class D here last week, but a repeat seems most improbable
- MENINO – Sanctioned in 3 of 4 this term, latterly 12 February race of reference, and others easier to trust
- MOJI DE VANDEL – Got off the mark in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class F a fortnight ago. Is plainly a progressive colt but may be biting off more than he can chew
- MATTERHORN – Made short work of a Graignes Class E over 2700m on 3 February. Has the main-track profile and every chance of keeping his perfect record intact
- MISTI DE CORDAY – In the frame in 3 of 4, latterly 3rd of 7 in a 2825m Cordemais Class E mid-January. Is not about to set the world alight but is worth retaining all the same
- MAESTRO BILOU – Lost his action in a 2100m Class D here last week. Has merit, will be reined by David Thomain this time, but would be preferred a level down
- MISSILE DE TAGOR – Makes Vincennes debut on a hat-trick, most recently having dominated a 2275m Nantes Class E late last month. Takes on a tougher bunch this time but should nevertheless be competitive for a first-5 cheque
- MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE – Ran 2nd over main track before coming 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2200m Class C here 3 weeks ago. Will have no issue getting the distance and looks assured a spot in the frame
- MONTEQUILLO – Not the most dependable but reassured in a 2200m Class C here 3 weeks ago when 4th of 8 finishers behind MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE (10). Is proven over the distance and can win this if he takes to new profile
Summary: Ideally-entered at the limit of earnings and clearly in decent shape, MONTEQUILLO (11) is not incapable of making his main-track debut a successful one. He can nevertheless expect to encounter considerable resistance from MATTERHORN (6) who flew up on debut recently, and MOUSTIK LA GOVELLE (10) who is plainly close to losing his maiden tag. Although sanctioned first time out, MARADONA ELLIS (1) showed significant promise in qualification and, given the chance, will not go down without a fight.

C4 – PRIX DE PONTAULT-COMBAULT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LADY D’ELFE – Sports front pads for first time after coming 4th of 8 finishers in a Class E under these conditions a month ago, but still appears to be taking on too much
- LOLA D’AMOUR – Lost her maiden status at Toulouse before running 3rd of 14 in a 2575m Agen Class E 10 days ago and does not travel to the capital to see the sights. Attention
- LISA MONA BLUE – Ran 5th to LUCRECE HAUFOR (11) before repeating in a 2100m Class D here mid-January. Not a contender but races barefoot once more and has the wherewithal to make first 5
- LADY PETTEVINIERE – Made it 4 straight sanctions after faulting in a Class D over track and trip on 2 February and others easier to trust
- LITTLE STAR JIEL – Made it 2 straight sanctions after faulting in a 2100m Class D here last week. Has bags of ability though and returning to 2700m may be just the ticket to her redemption
- LA GUARDIA – 9th of 15 behind L’ETOILE DE ROCHE (8) in a Class D over course and distance on 2 February. 4 pads fitted this time and chances slim
- LA JOIE DE VIVRE – Tricky filly that left a good impression after being sanctioned in race of reference. Is a class above most here and, with application, can give LITTLETON LANDING (10) a run for her money
- L’ETOILE DE ROCHE – 5th of 15 in a Class D over course and distance on 2 February. Raced better that day than the result would suggest and should not be underestimated
- L’ALASKA SNOW – Makes Vincennes bow after running 5th of 8 finishers in a 2550m Bordeaux Class D late last month. Yoann Lebourgeois reining this time but still no more than a minor place prospect
- LITTLETON LANDING – Showed marked improvement when 3rd of 11 finishers in a Class D over track and trip on 25 January. Has never disappointed for Eric Raffin who will be keen to unlock her 2025 account
- LUCRECE HAUFOR – Failed to deliver when 8th of 15 behind L’ETOILE DE ROCHE (8) in a Class D over course and distance on 2 February. Has previously won under these conditions however and must be afforded respect. Place chance
- LILY POM MIX – Pleasantly-surprising 6th of 16 in a 2100m Class D here late-December. Benefits from a barefoot run this time and, given the engagement, must be considered a serious player
Summary: She may have taken a little longer to come to hand this winter but LITTLETON LANDING (10) gave a reassuringly-good account when reunited with Eric Raffin here late last month and, in this company, looks the one to beat. That being said, she will still face significant opposition from LA JOIE DE VIVRE (7) provided Julien Dubois can keep his charge focused, and the first-time-barefoot LILY POM MIX (12) who enjoys a terrific entry. L’ETOILE DE ROCHE (8) should not be too hastily-judged for her recent performance and, with her mind on the game, will be no pushover.
