R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE LA CHAISE DIEU – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000
- MYSTIC DES FORGES – Gave a good account under these conditions a month ago before losing her action early on the inner course. Is patently talented and with stride in check can play a leading role
- MISS STORY – Imposed at Reims a month ago but was quickly eliminated over the inner course next time and even with Benjamin Rochard reining is unlikely to spice things up
- MOON LIGHT RIVER – Made up for Caen blip when 2nd in an Amiens Class E late last month, but has no left-handed references and cannot be considered a priority
- MIA DE SIMM – Has been enjoying a decent run of form over recent weeks. Is unlikely to win this but can still figure prominently when it matters
- MADONE DU TRIEUX – Has looked rather ordinary over recent months and would be preferred in the other code
- MALICE SPEED – Well-regarded, but spirited, filly with a pair of runs under her belt following the break. Is not a priority but can get in on the action if she deigns to stay in stride
- MY LOVE AFFAIR – Has done nothing but improve lately, most recently 2nd in a Class E over track and trip earlier this month. Is progressing with every run and will be no pushover
- MADE IN ATALANTE – Finished just ahead of MISS BELGRAVE (11) in a 2200m Class D here 10 days ago, but has never delivered over the main track and is unlikely to start now
- MANZANA ERA – Oddly lacklustre at Beaumont-de-Lomagne in late-October after having produced a pair of good runs. Is new to Vincennes but has already won left-handed and should not be overlooked
- MALINE DES ARRIS – Eliminated almost as often as not but is no slouch when focused, and is unlikely to be far off the mark if Francois Lagadeuc keeps her trotting
- MISS BELGRAVE – Takes to the main track for the first time after running 4th over 2200m of the inner course 10 days ago. Takes on a better lot this time though and chances limited
- MELODY MUSIC – Useful element returning to the harness code after prepping under the saddle here 10 days ago. Pleased on sole appearance under these conditions and will be expected to finish in the mix
- MA LIBERTE – Tricky type that appears to have got her game together. Simply dynamic here on 20 November and with form maintained should complete the hat-trick
- MILADY MADRIK – Reassuring 2nd in a 2100m claimer here on 26 November. Eric Raffin stays faithful but appears to be taking on too much
- MAKARINA DE BOMO – Useful sort with a good entry here but has never raced left-handed and will be race-rusty after 4 months off
Summary: MA LIBERTE (13) made it 2 in a row after routing the opposition over course and distance last month and steps up in category with every chance of repeating. Third to her on that occasion before being beaten only by a very good filly 8 days ago, MY LOVE AFFAIR (7) will be expected to apply the pressure. MYSTIC DES FORGES (1) is still somewhat green but she ran 3rd under these conditions last month and, together with MIA DE SIMM (4) who finished a place behind her, will have their chances.

C2 – PRIX DE MANSLE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 70,000 - MISTRAL DU GOUTIER – Unexceptional 5th of 7 in Gr.3 Prix de Troyes before coming 5th in race of reference early last month, and looks to have too much to do this time
- MARDOUK DE GODREL – 3rd in race of reference only to be subsequently disqualified. Prepped for this nicely at Mauquenchy and is not to be underestimated
- MANHATTAN EMGE – Fine servant that missed out on the 5-timer when 3rd in an Agen Class A on 18 November. Has no left-handed references but in current form is hard to ignore
- GOLIMPIO D’OR – 5th in Gr.1 Italian Derby on 12 October but could manage no closer than 6th in 6 November race of reference and cannot be regarded a contender
- MAGICO DE LOU – Easy 2nd of 10 in a 2850m Gr.3 here late last month. Enjoys an excellent draw but still has a lot more to find
- MUST ATOUT – Not the most dependable but held his own when 4th of 6 finishers in a 2700m Gr.2 here on 16 November. Has been handed a good number and will not be available at 106-1 this time
- MOUFFETARD – Classy element that excels with his driver. Ran 4th to MAESTRO VRIE (8) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix de Château-Thierry here on 6 November, is decently-placed on the front row, and can play a leading role
- MAESTRO VRIE – Progressive colt that comfortably won 2700m Gr.3 Prix de Château-Thierry here on 6 November. Breaks wide but is undefeated in mobile starts and has a realistic chance of keeping that fact relevant
- MANASLU – Made no bones about imposing on comeback, easily dominating a 2700m Class A here on 21 November. Breaks wide but has buckets of untapped potential and can confirm
- MARQUETY DE BAILLY – Surprise 2nd to MAESTRO VRIE (8) in 2700m Gr.3 Prix de Château-Thierry here on 6 November. Failed to confirm though behind MARDOUK DE GODREL (2) at Mauquenchy and others preferred
- GILL DORIAL – Italian gelding that ran better in the race of reference than his 7th place would suggest. Eric Raffin gets the drive this time and will be no pushover if he successfully negotiates the start
- GILLES GRIF – Has scored just the once for his new yard but returns to the conditions of his last victory. Starts on back row but with JMB in the bike will be afforded every chance
- GALILEO WISE L – Left a good impression on comeback when imposing over a mile in Milan. Shod for French bow though and can be ruled out
- GINGER GIO – Transalpine colt making French debut after some lacklustre runs at home. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike but others easier to like
- GOELICHER ST – Races for the first time outside Italian borders after winning over a mile in Turin on 19 November, however at this level will have little to contribute
Summary: A high-calibre colt that won a Class A with ease on his recent return to the track, MANASLU (9) has not been handed the best of draws but the double is still very much part of the equation. It’s not always a good idea to bet against Philippe Allaire but MAESTRO VRIE (8) ran out a convincing winner of the Gr.3 Prix de Château-Thierry here early last month and is in with a realistic shout of confirming. 4th that day after having secured a Class A the previous month, MOUFFETARD (7) should again play an active role. As tricky as they come but impressive nevertheless when imposing over 2100m here 2 months ago, GILLES GRIF (12) can make up for being eliminated in the race of reference.

C3 – PRIX EMMANUEL MARGOUTY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - NAMOUR DAB – Takes a notable step up in category after running good 2nd in a 2100m Class C here on 18 November, and is unlikely to trouble the judge
- NUEVO CASH – Useful sort that has been learning his trade in good order. Ran 2nd to NOB HILL (6) here 2 weeks ago, has buckets of progress in him, and should have the wherewithal to make the frame once more
- NITRO DAIRPET – Pleasant colt that faulted early in Prix Timoko 3 weeks ago. Has ample ability but in this company will struggle to make his mark
- NEVER FORGET – Handy sort but looked decidedly ordinary when 5th of 6 on comeback in Prix Timoko. Will have progressed for the race but still looks an outsider
- NEW SUCCESS – Won an Enghien Class B before finishing a one-paced 4th of 6 to NELSON DE BUSSET (12) in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Timoko over the inner course 3 weeks ago, and will have ground to make up
- NOB HILL – Lightly-raced colt that progresses with every run. Encountered no opposition when victorious in a Class B over course and distance late last month and even at this level should take all the beating
- NELSON EMGE – Close 2nd to NELSON DE BUSSET (12) in Gr.3 Prix Louis Cauchois over the inner course on 17 October before blowing up in the Prix Timoko. Is plainly better than that and Benjamin Rochard will be keen to set the record straight
- NAT KING COLE – Made up for Gr.3 Prix Louis Cauchois elimination when missing out by the smallest of margins to NELSON DE BUSSET (12) in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Timoko here on 22 November. Is a colt with a bright future and looks the main danger to NOB HILL (6)
- NUAGE DE BEAUCAMPS – Made it 3 for 3 when comfortably winning a 2175m Class A here in late-September. Has not been seen since but will have been prepared for this and has every chance of picking up a first-5 cheque
- NOBEL VENESI – Faithful servant that keeps getting better, running close 3rd to NELSON DE BUSSET (12) in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Timoko over the inner course 3 weeks ago. Unlikely to repeat but should nevertheless hold his own
- NECTAR D’AVIGNERE – Eliminated early in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Timoko on 22 November. Is patently in top shape though and with application can secure himself a step on the podium
- NELSON DE BUSSET – Produced a 35-1 surprise when victorious in 2200m Gr.3 Prix Timoko over the inner course 3 weeks ago. A repeat, however, seems unlikely
Summary: Unthreatened in any of his three racecourse starts to date, NOB HILL (6) was majestic here a fortnight ago and looks the pick of the field once more. Second to him that day and plainly a progressive colt, NUEVO CASH (2) can again figure prominently, but may first have to defer to NAT KING COLE (8) who just missed out in the Gr.3 Prix Timoko 3 weeks ago. Eliminated early that day after securing the Gr.3 Prix Louis Cauchois, NECTAR D’AVIGNERE (11) will be dangerous if Eric Raffin keeps him trotting.

C4 – PRIX MICHEL THOURY – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 75,000 - JEWELCANDLE FAC – Cornulier 3rd place but also presents solid harness credentials. Was competitive in last 2 starts and will have a lot to contribute if Damien Bonne keeps her focused
- INDIGO DE FONTAINE – Showed improvement when 6th in a 2850m Class B here last Sunday, and has pulled a good number, but is not the horse he was last season and represents a minor place chance at best
- GOLD MENCOURT – Gave a good account to come 2nd in a 2850m Class D here 10 days ago, but in this company will have his work cut out
- FEMTO DE VAUVERT – Comes to Vincennes for the first time in 2 years, but is clearly in fine shape and with JMB reining will be afforded every chance
- FURIOSO FLIGNY – Won a 2850m Class C here in October before running 3rd in a Mauquenchy Gr.3 on 19 November. Benefits from an excellent draw and, reconfigured for the occasion, should not disappoint
- GORDON MIJACK – Hardy sort with a race under his belt following the spell. Is shod to preference this time but faces some good youngsters here and chances appear slim
- DOLCE VIKY – High-calibre type with nothing to prove at this level. Eliminated on sole Vincennes start but is patently in rude health and the draw will do his chances no disservice. Claim
- ILAYA – Honest mare that ran 4th of 16, a place behind FURIOSO FLIGNY (5), in a 2850m Mauquenchy Gr.3 on 19 November. Is clearly enjoying decent form and while not about to win this, can nevertheless finish in the money
- HAMILTON DU HAM – 8th of 13 behind FURIOSO FLIGNY (5), on re-entry, in a 2850m Mauquenchy Gr.3 on 19 November. Starts wide on front line and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- CHARMY CHARLY AS – Respectable 5th of 12 on comeback in a Class C under these conditions in mid-November. Always gives his best but has been handed a difficult number and not an obvious choice
- GILMOUR – Unremarkable trotter that has done nothing of note for some time and is not about to change his ways
- HAMONET DE CHOISEL – Unlucky 4th in a Nantes Gr.3 before routing the opposition in a Class C over course and distance late last month and, in spite of a 2nd row draw, looks a serious proposition
- Y NOT DIAMANT – Eurotrotting individual that has not put a foot wrong for some time. Gave a good account in Malmo 3 weeks ago and will have his chances if he keeps his action together
- HAPPYJO DE LIGNY – Previously a good sort but has been off the boil since 2024 and the draw only compounds matters
- JE REVE DU BOIS – Superbly won a Class B over 2700m here on 3 October only to have it subsequently taken away from him. Returns from his spell in race-mode and will not be far off the mark if David Thomain successfully navigates the start
- HABIT DE SOIREE – Gave a good account to come 3rd in a 2700m Class B here on 8 November. Has some tougher elements to deal with this time though and best to hold off
Summary: Third in a Swedish Gr.1 last June, and plainly back in shape, DOLCE VIKY (7) races barefoot for his return to Paris and, given the entry, can open his French account. Alessandro Gocciadoro will still be mindful though of the tricky JEWELCANDLE FAC (1) who has been showing her form, and the excellent Y NOT DIAMANT (13) who, despite a 2nd line draw, should prove competitive for a place in the frame. HAMONET DE CHOISEL (12) starts just to his inner but a repeat of his latest performance would see him finish close. JE REVE DU BOIS (15) has pulled a rough number but is hard to knock when focused and merits considerable respect.

C5 – PRIX DE GISORS – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 59,000 - HIPPIE DU BREIL – Won on ridden bow in late-October before losing her action in a 2850m Class E on 7 November. Returns to racing with front pads, Benjamin Rochard gets the nod this time, and can make first 5
- GERONIMO STARDUST – Very disappointing since returning after a long break. Goes barefoot but must first get his house in order
- HUMOUR D’HAUFOR – Excellent in both codes earlier in the year but below-par since the summer and is not about to trouble the judge
- NYMKE BRIGADOON – Returns to Paris after running 3rd of 9 in a Chartres Class E 2.5 weeks ago, but has no love for 2700m here and can be passed over
- GUOPECK DE VIVOIN – Modest individual that has no place in this field and has nothing to offer
- HAVRE DE PAIX – Has acquitted himself well for the most part this term, most recently 4th to HARRYBEAU DE COUET (8) here on 10 November. Is unlikely to create an upset but still has the wherewithal to get in on the action
- GUNNER – Close 2nd to HARRYBEAU DE COUET (8) in a 2850m Class E here on 10 November before being prepped under harness at Cordemais. Will be reunited with Mathieu Mottier who will be determined to turn the tables
- HARRYBEAU DE COUET – Stayed on courageously to win a 2850m Class E here on 10 November. Ran 7th to HENZO DE CARSI (13) under harness at Cordemais, is reunited with Paul Ploquin, and can again contest the finish
- HOLLYWOOD GIRL – Has returned to competition in cracking form, latterly 2nd in a 2850m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. Goes well for Guillaume Martin and should again go close
- SILVER BULLIT(SWE) – Useful and versatile trotter that has been in flying form since the summer, but has demonstrated little aptitude for the discipline and others preferred
- HOLIDAY WELL – Disappointing in last 2 here, most recently trounced by HOLLYWOOD GIRL (9), and can be ruled out
- GRYFFONDOR DU POLI – Won 3 of 4 before coming 2nd in a 2850m Class E here 8 days ago. Steps up in category and is not about to get his nose in front, but should nevertheless give an honourable account
- HENZO DE CARSI – Switches code after dominating a Cordemais Class E 3 weeks ago. Is untried in this configuration under the saddle and with application will have his chances
- HELL GIRL CHATHO – Has been knocking at the door over recent months, latterly 3rd in a Mauquenchy Class D on 19 November. Is new to Vincennes but has been reconfigured and deserves to take her chances
Summary: He may not be the calmest of horses but the change of stable seems to have worked for GUNNER (7). Runner-up to HARRYBEAU DE COUET (8) here a month ago, he has been kept on the boil and Matheiu Mottier will be expecting to exact revenge. HOLLYWOOD GIRL (9) is like a horse transformed and will be no easy touch. HENZO DE CARSI (13) has yet to deliver in this branch of the business but has already won for Alexandre Abrivard under harness and will be expected to finish in the thick of things.

C6 – PRIX OSCAR COLLARD – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Gr3 – Harness – EUR € 80,000 - ENCIERRO (ITY) – Not the most dependable horse here and is frequently aimed too high. Starts on front line though and in this company has a decent chance of getting a look in
- KEEN WINNER – Returned to a more reasonable level on 16 November when 2nd in a Gr.3 over track and trip. Enjoys a good position behind the car and is unlikely to go down easily. Chance
- LITTLE BROWN – Well-beaten in last 2, most recently a 2700m Gr.3 here 3 weeks ago. Not the horse he was in 2024 and is unlikely to cause an upset
- EDGAR SABA – Fine servant with nothing to prove in this class. Will be fit by now and will have a legitimate claim
- KOOL DES CHAMPS – Last but one behind KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE (6) in a 2700m Gr.3 here a week ago and would have better prospects at a lower level
- KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE – Imposed at Mauquenchy before running close 2nd in a 2700m Gr.3 here last weekend. Sports pads this time but is well-placed on front line and should not be far off the mark
- KUIPER – Quality element with 3 races under his belt following a lengthy hiatus. Sports a fresh configuration and will have come on for the race. First 5
- NOVATO – Fine campaigner with an enviable strike-rate, but is forced to start wide here and in this category is unlikely to influence the outcome
- KELLE BEAUTE – Sprang an 80-1 surprise when 5th behind KAPTAIN DU LIAMONE (6) in a 2700m Gr.3 here a week ago, but a repeat seems unlikely
- KEMIA DU CHENE – Back in form after a pair of lacklustre runs, most recently 4th to FELLOW WISE AS (11) in a Class A over track and trip late last month. Is not ideally-drawn, and has ground to make up, but still warrants respect
- FELLOW WISE AS – Facile winner of a Class A under these conditions on 27 November. Was poorly-drawn that day too and Nicolas Bazire can be confident of another big performance
- FERAHAN AS – Moderate sort that finished last of 9 on comeback in a 2700m Gr.2 here last weekend. Competitively-shod this time but still not a concern
- BROTHERS IN ARMS – Put in a good showing to run 5th to FELLOW WISE AS (11) in 27 November race of reference. Stays shod this time though and best to keep one’s powder dry
- FLY TOP – Serious Italian import that struck at the first time of asking for new trainer, making short work of a Class C over course and distance in late-October. Returns fresh and even though stepping up in category still looks a player
- IVANA NORDIC – Quality Danish mare but could finish no closer than last of 10 to FELLOW WISE AS (11) late last month and can be passed over
- FELDENKRAIS PAL – Tricky but handy Italian raider that blew ups behind FELLOW WISE AS (11) here late last month. Has not been gifted the best of draws and others easier to back
Summary: Given a pair of conditioners after an autumn spell, EDGAR SABA (4) returns to a distance he appreciates and from the 4-spot can make this his own. There is no shortage of opposition though, principally the well-positioned KEEN WINNER (2) who ran 2nd in the Gr.3 Prix de Boissy-Saint-Léger under these conditions last month, and the less-favourably-drawn FELLOW WISE AS (11) who took little time scoring for his new yard. Jean-Michel Bazire will however be reining FLY TOP (14) who romped here last time out.
SELECTIONS

C7 – PRIX D’APT – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 59,000 - ISBA DU VIVIER – Serious mare that has been excelling under the saddle. Has no references over 2850m on the main track but in present shape is hard to ignore
- IDOLA – Faces first objective of the meeting after 3 harness return runs. Has won her last 4 starts in the discipline and with application can wrap this up
- HELIOS DJEMA – Gave a good account on monte debut on 19 November when 4th of 13 in a Mauquenchy Class D, but faces a much stiffer test this time
- HANDSOME BOY – Quality trotter with excellent monte credentials but sports 4 pads this time and is unlikely to worry the opposition
- HELIUM DE L’ITON – Surprise 3rd in an Enghien Class D in mid-October but failed to confirm when last but one behind IKURO JIEL (10) in a Class C here 2 weeks ago, and can be ruled out
- IT’S MY DREAM – Seems to be somewhat off the boil but is justifiably well-regarded. Races barefoot for the occasion and it is just a question of time before he gets back in the game
- HARVEST – Quality individual with a particular liking for Vincennes. Has a brace of runs under his belt after 15 months off and although not a priority is still worth monitoring
- IVRIG VIKING – Made short work of a Nantes harness Class C prior to finishing a place behind IDOLA (2) in a 2700m harness Class C prep here 2.5 weeks ago. Goes first time under the saddle for the Baudouin stable and looks a serious player
- INSTANT GRAVE – Honest trotter but came a disappointing 7th, a place behind HAWAI RIVER (13), in a 2875m Enghien Class C on 26 October, and will need to show a different side
- IKURO JIEL – Good 2nd in a Caen Class D on 11 October but trounced in a Class C here 2 weeks ago, and appears to have a lot more to find
- ICARE WILLIAMS – Difficult to knock when focused, most recently winning a 2175m Class C with ease here last weekend, and a repeat is not out of the question
- GALOPIN DE MARTHE – Last of 11 in a Class D harness conditioner here 2 weeks ago. Excels in the day’s configuration though and is unlikely to be far off the mark
- HAWAI RIVER – Goes barefoot as she was when imposing here in September but has delivered little lately and others preferred
Summary: A Gr.2 monte winner in 2023, IVRIG VIKING (8) makes his first appearance in the code since February 2024 and, reconfigured, in current condition is easy to fancy for the win. It will not be all plain sailing though given the presence of a similarly reconfigured IDOLA (2) who is on a monte 5-timer, and ICARE WILLIAMS (11) who won a Class C over shorter here last weekend. A terrific servant when focused and shod to preference, ISBA DU VIVIER (1) prepped for this 9 days ago and is unlikely to let the side down.

C8 – PRIX DE CAUMONT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - JOYEUX PURPLE – Hardy element returning to racing barefoot after a pair of fresheners. Pleased on both occasions here last season but others still easier to support
- JARDYLAND – Has looked rather ordinary since returning from his autumn break. Takes on a tougher lot this time and chances appear limited
- JOPLIN DES CROUAS – Returns to racing barefoot after a modest effort over 2100m here on 28 November. Does spring the occasional surprise but too infrequently to inspire that much confidence
- JOVIAL HAUFOR – First objective of the meeting did not go to plan when unlucky 10th behind JOB DES LOUANGES (9) in a 2100m Class D here late last month. Is patently better than the result would suggest however and should logically make amends
- JOURNAL INTIME – Drops back in category after finishing respectable but unthreatening 6th of 8 in a Class D under these conditions on 21 November. Form is not in doubt though and at this level can make a big splash
- JUST DU CHATELET – Won 2 of last 3, most recently beating JACKSON BOY (7) over 2100m here on 17 November. Is clearly close to securing another and must be taken seriously
- JACKSON BOY – Won 2 of 3 here so far this term, latterly over 2100m. Has never failed to deliver for Eric Raffin who will be justifiably eyeing another victory
- JOSS AIMEF – 7th behind JOB DES LOUANGES (9) in a 2100m Class D here late last month. Reverts to a previous formula but is unlikely to make his presence felt
- JOB DES LOUANGES – Put in a good showing to run 2nd in a 2100m Class D here a fortnight ago. Sports a new configuration for the occasion and is worth keeping an eye on
- JOHORE – Made up for late-August elimination when tenacious winner of a 2850m Class D here on 14 October. Has not raced since but is obviously in competition-mode and the Mathieu Mottier-factor only makes him a more attractive proposition
- JUST A COUET – Good, consistent trotter that was surprisingly eliminated in a Class E at Le Mont-Saint-Michel in early-November. Appreciates Vincennes, enjoys a good entry, and can be brought back into the fold
- JASMIN BLANC – Returns to the professional ranks after disappointing in an amateurs Class F here late last month and will need to find considerably more
- JACKSON D’ARC – Performant for the most part this year but out of the picture in last 3 and not a priority
Summary: Given a short rest after winning a Class D here 2 months ago, JOHORE (10) is barefoot for his return to the track and even in the absence of Pierre-Yves Verva can get straight down to business. That being said, JACKSON BOY (7) is enjoying a new lease on life and has been climbing the category-ladder in good order. JOURNAL INTIME (5) failed to complete the hat-trick when unplaced in better company here 3 weeks ago, but moves back to a more realistic level and can finish close. JUST DU CHATELET (6) has been hard to knock for some time and should again finish in the mix.

C9 – PRIX D’EVRECY – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - LIKE A PRAYER – Imposed at Cabourg then won a Class E over 2700m here 2.5 weeks ago. Takes on a better field this time but on current trajectory is easy to recommend. Chance
- LOUISIANE KAT – 9th of 11 behind LOVELY GODIVA (6) on re-entry here on 5 November. Has other ambitions though and can be ignored
- LILY ROSE MYSTIC – Serious filly making first appearance since early-October. Just hind shoes off for the occasion and best to wait
- LEA D’ATOUT – Complicated filly that was quickly eliminated in a 2100m Class D here on 5 November. Is confirmed over 2175m though and should give a competitive account if she gets off on the right foot
- LOUNA DU LOCHEUR – Has not once finished out of the frame when applied. Lost her action here 8 days ago but Didier Brohier will be determined to put things right
- LOVELY GODIVA – Ran respectable 4th in a 2100m Class D here on 5 November. Will not be available at 74-1 this time, but will not be as competitive either
- LYRA POTERIE – Eliminated in 3 of last 4 but is plainly in good shape. Paul Ploquin in the bike this time and can finish close if he manages to keep his filly’s mind on the game
- LADY DE SAFRAN – Won 2 of 3 during the summer before being sent for a break. Shod to preference for comeback but a minor place chance at best
- LAMIE QUICK – Encouraged at Agen but failed to confirm behind LADY DES ARRIS (14) here 2 weeks ago, and is not expected to shake things up
- LOLITA DE LA BUTTE – Quickly eliminated in a 2850m Class D here a fortnight ago. Has failed to make any impact in 3 starts over 2175m here and is not about to create an upset
- LATINA DU FER – Returns to the capital after running 4th of 6 in a Laval Class A in mid-November. Has had time to come on and can figure more prominently
- LOUANGE CASTELETS – Serious individual that was beaten only by an under-handicapped filly here on 21 November. Has progressed for every run this term and is eminently capable of winning a race of this nature
- LADY PRINCESS – Showed improvement when 2nd of 7, a place behind LOUNA DU LOCHEUR (5), in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class A on 19 November. Is in her category and will have her supporters
- LADY DES ARRIS – Ran encouraging 4th in a 2850m Class D here a fortnight ago. Seldom seen over these shorter trips but has never failed to deliver and cannot be ruled out
- LADY BIRD JENILAT – Starts for the first time since running 7th of 16 in a 2700m Class D here on 31 October. Enjoys a good entry but appears to have nothing to offer
- LUMIERE DU CHENE – Ran 3rd in a 2625m Agen Class A on 18 November. Has little liking for the Vincennes main track, but won her only start with JMB reining, and will not be short on support
Summary: A quality filly with solid Vincennes references, LOUANGE CASTELETS (12) has done everything right since returning to competition and can impose this time. LYRA POTERIE (7) may not be the easiest of horses to handle but she ran 3rd to her here 3 weeks ago and looks dangerous, but will first have to see off LIKE A PRAYER (1) who recently made her Vincennes bow a winning one, and LOUNA DU LOCHEUR (5) whose form is not in question.
