R1 ENGHIEN [L-H]
C1 – PRIX D’HERBLAY – 2875m (a2m) – Class E – Mounted – EUR € 35,000
- MOGADOR – Looked ordinary under the saddle at Vincennes a month ago before running 2nd under harness at Laval 2 weeks later, but is unlikely to disrupt the status quo
- MARKUS DES AGETS – Flattering 3rd of 3 on monte debut at Vincennes mid-January. Stays shod this time and can be passed over
- MIST NIGHT QUICK – Has not put a foot wrong since switching codes. Is confirmed left-handed under harness and looks a player on Enghien debut
- MARGOT DE BETAN – Placed in one of 2 monte starts. Has 2 conditioners under her belt, is confirmed with her jockey, but still represents a minor place chance at best
- MAKINA DANICA – Moderate filly returning to the discipline following a pair of modest efforts across town and can expect to have few friends
- MAX DU POMMEREUX – Takes first competitive monte steps after 3 consecutive harness eliminations and chances appear limited
- MILLESIME GRIFF – Never far from faulting but is not devoid of ability. Races first-time barefoot with his trainer in the saddle and, with application, could pleasantly surprise
- MARQUISE DE FAEL – Gave everything she had to run 3rd in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 16 February. Has never raced over 2875m here but in present shape is still easy to recommend
- MINEFIELDS – Has started to make good on his promise, most recently winning a brace at Graignes. Is more competitively-shod this time and will be no soft touch if he takes to Enghien conditions
- MADE IN LOVE PASS – Faces first test of the season after having been given an easy harness return run at Vincennes on 11 February, and with Victor Saussaye back in the irons will be afforded every chance
- MONTGENEVE – Ran 4th but blew up nevertheless in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 16 February. Trainer could not have wished for a better entry though and Paul Ploquin will be eager to make hay
Summary: MONTGENEVE (11) took some time to come to hand this term but he is clearly on the right trajectory and, considering the entry, can impose this time. MINEFIELDS (9) takes a notable hike in category after securing 2 on the trot in the provinces and, sporting a fresh configuration, is not incapable of completing the hat-trick. Competitively-shod for the first time, MADE IN LOVE PASS (10) has a run under his belt and, if race-fit, can finally get that maiden monkey off his back. In the frame in 2 of 3 starts this term, MARQUISE DE FAEL (8) returns to Enghien with a good hand to play.

C2 – PRIX DE SAINT-PIERRE LE MOUTIER – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MATADOR – Put away after just missing out on the hat-trick here last May. Has the one conditioner under his belt and with shoes off for the first time should logically take all the beating
- MAGISTER D’ELA – Eliminated as often as not but clearly has ability. Sports a fresh formula following a pair of Vincennes eliminations and will not be far off the mark if he takes to the new conditions
- MARIEKE’S BOY – Serious element in this category and has won twice in France. Made a successful comeback in Mons 3.5 weeks ago and, although not a priority, is still worth retaining
- MAGIK UP STAR – Quality colt that was surprisingly lacklustre behind MAGELLANO SUN (14) in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Faces a tougher task this time but is still worth keeping an eye on
- MISTER D’ECROVILLE – Got off the mark at Nantes 3 weeks ago when barefoot for the first time. Disappointed on lone Enghien start but should generate some interest nevertheless
- MEC D’ERCOURT – Has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot, most recently running 2nd to MISTER D’ECROVILLE (5) in a Nantes Class E 3 weeks ago, but may just be taking on too much this time
- MAGIK DE PIERRAIS – Moderate type making first appearance since running 5th in a Vincennes Class D in early-December, and is going to need the race
- MAESTRO BEHEM – Got back in the game across town early last month, however a repeat seems most improbable
- MAMBO DE LA VALLEE – Complicated soul making first start since 19 December and will have other priorities
- MY DREAM – Should not be condemned for Vincennes blip 2.5 weeks ago. Is reunited with Matthieu Abrivard and, with application, can figure more prominently this time
- MERCURY DELO – Handy colt returning to Enghien in search of a flatter track and better form. Left a good impression on sole start at the venue and may just prove the main danger to MATADOR (1)
- MONTANA MONNERIE – Has climbed the category-ladder in good order, most recently running 3rd in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 11 February, and will be expected to give another competitive account. Place chance
- MELKIOR DE BAILLY – Showed improvement when 4th, a place behind MONTANA MONNERIE (12), in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 11 February. Has never shown much love for Enghien but will nevertheless have his supporters
- MAGELLANO SUN – Has given a good account for the most part at Vincennes over the winter, most recently running close 4th in a 2700m Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Enjoys a fine entry here and, with form maintained, is unlikely to be far from the action
- MURPHY DU PONCELET – Dependable colt that has shown good versatility but has not been seen out since late-November and is unlikely to create an upset
- MAJON – Well-regarded colt but has been off the track since finishing last in a Gr.2 last August and can be confidently passed over
Summary: A progressive element that showed significant flair last season, MATADOR (1) was given an easy comeback run here last month and, barefoot this time, should be able to wrap this up. The consistent MONTANA MONNERIE (12) ran third that day and should again figure prominently, but may first have to see off MERCURY DELO (11) who will be barefoot for the first time here. MY DREAM (10) raced better across town last month than the result would suggest and the Enghien profile should suit him to a tee.

C3 – PRIX DE NOIRMOUTIER – 2875m (a2m) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - JULIEN SENSEI – Made short work of his French debut 2.5 weeks ago when running away with a 2700m Class E. Takes on a better bunch this time but still looks thoroughly up to the challenge
- GLOBAL ENJOY – Handy Scandi raider that was denied a run behind SANDOKAN (SWE) (6) in a Vincennes Class D on 16 February. Is unlikely to cause an upset but should nevertheless hold his own
- NOT FOR SALE – Facile winner at Lyon-La Soie in late-January before being trounced at Vincennes mid-February and with pads fitted will have nothing to contribute
- CAMERON – Won an amateur marathon across town on 20 January but failed to confirm a week later. Will be fresh for Enghien bow but cannot be considered a priority
- LOOK OF LOVE – Has hardly put a foot out of line for past 14 months and is confirmed here. Form is clear to see, sports a new configuration, and is unlikely to disappoint
- SANDOKAN (SWE) – Would have finished in the money at Vincennes on 16 February had he not blundered in the final stages. Should take well to Enghien conditions and Matthieu Abrivard can be confident of a better performance
- KOMERE DE CORDAY – Missed out by the smallest of margins in a 2850m Vincennes Class D mid-February. Has won 2 of 3 starts over course and distance, is plainly close to her race, and must be respected
- KIVALA RENARDIER – Made up for a pair of below-par efforts when 4th behind KOMERE DE CORDAY (7) in a 2850m Vincennes Class D mid-February. Has ground to make up but likes Enghien and can give this a good go
- KINGSMAN D’EOLE – Serious kind that should not be condemned for last 2 runs. Has placed in 1 of 2 here and Franck Nivard can be relatively bullish about his prospects. First 5
- KIPHYLE DESBOIS – Capable on a good day but has not been seen since her short-lived winter campaign and is unlikely to spice things up
- KIKI AND CO – Serious element in the monte discipline. Here for reasons of conditioning and can be ignored
- KRYSTAL PIYA – Won a Vincennes Gr.3 before running 2nd in a Class B before being sent for a rest. Is head and shoulders better than most here and will be well-backed to win this
- ENOCK – Previously a good sort but came off the boil over the winter and will first need to reassure
Summary: A fine campaigner with solid Enghien credentials, KRYSTAL PIYA (12) benefits from an excellent entry here and even though unraced since Christmas, still looks the pick of the field. He will likely come under pressure though from the good Danish 6yo JULIEN SENSEI (1) who was most impressive at Vincennes last month, and KOMERE DE CORDAY (7) that was just headed in a Class D at the same venue last month. Already a winner across town over the winter, SANDOKAN (SWE) (6) will appreciate returning to a more even surface and will be expected to show improvement.

C4 – PRIX DE MIMIZAN – 2875m (a2m) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 68,000 - IT’S MY DREAM – Comfortable winner of a 2850m Class D across town in December before being sent for a spell. Has one run under his belt since and, barefoot again, should not be far off the mark
- HOLD UP DES VENTES – Did not enjoy the best of trips when 6th behind IKURO JIEL (8) in a 2700m Vincennes Class C 2 weeks ago. Has a particular fondness for Enghien and can play an active role this time
- HARVEST – Produced a pair of fine performances at Vincennes before finishing 9th of 11 in race of reference. Is plainly better than that though and, shod to preference this time, should not be overlooked
- HIS DREAM DE CAHOT – 3rd, a place behind HARVEST (3), in a 2850m Class B here in mid-January. Faces some tough younger horses this time though and others easier to back
- INDICE DELADOU – Serious element that ran 4th behind IKURO JIEL (8) in 20 February race of reference. Has won twice over 2250m here but looks more a first-5 prospect this time
- GUAPO MARBOULA – Unremarkable trotter with just one run in him since the spell and has no realistic chance
- JOUR DE FETE – Has been enjoying something of a second wind since returning to the discipline. Is plainly at the top of his game and will again be competitive when it matters
- IKURO JIEL – Not always the most dependable but has been like a horse reborn since the turn of the year and will be expected to give KHAL’S FELLA (9) a run for his money
- KHAL’S FELLA – Found the going particularly tough in a Gr.1 across town in mid-December. Has since been rested and returns to the code at a more reasonable level, and can make his way back into the winners’ enclosure
- IMPERIAL COGLAIS – Useful for the most part but has failed to make the grade in last 2 and will first need to re-establish his credentials
- FLASH DU BIWETZ – Wonderfully-engaged at the limit of earnings but has been off the boil for a couple of months and will have few, if any, takers
Summary: Well-beaten in the Gr.1 Prix Bilibili on just his 2nd start under the saddle, KHAL’S FELLA (9) comes here fresh, reconfigured, and in this company has every chance of getting his nose in front. IKURO JIEL (8), on the other hand, has been excelling of late and considering his Enghien form, must be regarded a major player. Sixth that day when being conditioned, HOLD UP DES VENTES (2) sports front pads for the first time in over 3 years and must be taken seriously. JOUR DE FETE (7) imposed over 2175m before running 3rd in the race of reference and is easy to like for a place in the frame.

C5 – PRIX QUICK WILLIAMS – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - FALSTAFF FONT – Failed to make any impact in 2 Vincennes starts over the winter. Encouraged somewhat in Victoria Park 2 weeks ago but will still need to find more
- KAISER TURGOT – Returns to a track he appreciates after twice pleasing in the provinces. Has pulled a good number but in this company appears to have his work cut out
- FUOCO DEGLI DEI – Tricky character but has nevertheless acquitted himself well in both Vincennes starts. Comes here fresh and from the 3-slot can figure prominently
- ESPADA (ITY) – Produced a 26-1 surprise when coming 3rd across town in a 2700m Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Goes barefoot again and the draw will only work to his advantage. First 5
- LE TOUQUET – Spirited element but has talent to burn. Eliminated in 3 of last 4 starts but the switch to Enghien may well be his ticket to redemption. The draw will do his prospects no disservice either
- FRENCHCONNECTION – Never far from losing his action but has buckets of ability. Smartly won a 2700m Class E here on 22 February and, even in the absence of Eric Raffin, can double his money
- KLAUS VON HERTEN – Pleased on Vincennes debut on Christmas Day when 4th in a 2700m Vincennes Class D before taking his chances under the saddle. Will be more at his ease over this shorter trip and looks competitively well in
- EXPLORER MUNDI – 5th to ESPADA (ITY) (4) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Sports front pads for the first time, but is drawn wide and unlikely to spring any surprises
- ROCKY OASIS – Back under harness after having placed in the other code 3.5 weeks ago. Here for a change of scenery though and can be ruled out
- UTKIEKER – Made up in Victoria Park a fortnight ago for a modest Vincennes bow in late-January. Should find Enghien more to his liking and even though shod can still get a look in
- SAMMY BOY (BEL) – 3rd to FRENCHCONNECTION (6) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E 12 days ago, his first French start. Is forced to break on the back row this time, but in present form is still easy to recommend
- ECLIPSE GAR – Tricky but useful sort making first start for new trainer but current form does little to inspire confidence
- SEVEN SEAS S – Quality trotter whose recent 6th in the race of reference was better than it appears. Top pilot in the bike this time and can impose
- ORANGE CRUSH – Returns barefoot to Paris after running 3rd to UTKIEKER (10) in Victoria Park 2 weeks ago. Is new to Enghien and is not ideally-drawn, but will be barefoot for the occasion and cannot be discounted
- SECRET OF LAW – Showed improvement 12 days ago when 4th to FRENCHCONNECTION (6) in a 2700m Vincennes Class E. Trainer in the bike this time and a repeat seems unlikely
- NGANNOU – Makes first appearance for new trainer 2 months after failing to deliver at Vincennes and the draw only adds insult to injury
Summary: The German SEVEN SEAS S (13) raced better on his recent Vincennes debut than the result might imply. He benefits from an Alexandre Abrivard drive this time and may just be in a position to turn the tables on the better-placed Italian, FRENCHCONNECTION (6), who imposed that day. The Belgian SAMMY BOY (BEL) (11) ran a very good third place and, despite the draw, is very much in the picture once again. He may, however, have to defer to the delicate but talented LE TOUQUET (5) who has been handed an excellent spot behind the car.

C6 – PRIX CYRANO II – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - NOVO SUPREME – Produced career-best result when 2nd in a Class C under these conditions last September. Was unable to confirm at Vincennes in November and prospects seem slim on first appearance since then
- NEO DE JOUDES – Imposed on debut at Nantes on 16 December then repeated on 16 February at Saint-Galmier. Should take to Enghien conditions like a duck to water and may well return home unbeaten for the 3rd time
- NOVATO BELLO – Put away after getting off the mark in a Reims Class E on 23 November. Is plainly a decent trotter in the making and returns to racing left-handed with a lot to contribute
- NOUGAYORQUE – Still somewhat green but has otherwise demonstrated a particular liking for the discipline. Held his own on the Vincennes main track last time and is not incapable of trotting his way onto the podium
- NELSON CHARENTAIS – Defied his unexceptional qualification when 2nd in a Class F at Le Croise-Laroche 11 days ago. Has not had much time to come on but will have been kept on the boil and warrants respect
- NIX SPEED – Made it 2 in a row when winning a Cordemais Class E from pillar to post on 14 January. Has had ample time to get back to his best and the hat-trick appears to be well within his reach
- NEED FOR LOVE – Got off the mark at Machecoul on 1 February, then ran 2nd in a Vincennes monte Class D 9 days later. Is unlikely to spring any surprises but should nevertheless give another honourable account
- NEW YORK D’OYSE – Made up for his monte elimination when 3rd in a 2700m Vincennes Class C a fortnight ago. A repeat, however, seems most improbable
- NUAGE DE JAFRAN – Qualified in a respectable 1’19 at Grosbois in December but was eliminated at Nantes first time out and can be disregarded
Summary: Winner of both starts to date, 2 months separating them, NEO DE JOUDES (2) will be reined by Anthony Barrier for the first time and looks eminently capable of securing the hat-trick. NIX SPEED (6) ran 3rd to him on debut at Nantes before going on to win 2 straight at Cordemais, and trainer-driver Francois Bossuet will be eager to make it 3 on the trot. NOVATO BELLO (3) went from strength to strength in the autumn and even though unraced since, still looks a serious proposition. NOUGAYORQUE (4) appears to have a bright future and will be no easy touch if he stays in stride.

C7 – PRIX DE TREMBLAY-EN-FRANCE – 2250m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 40,000 - NELSON THORIS – Set off no fireworks in qualification at Caen last summer, but will sport 4 pads for career debut and the engagement of Victor Saussaye will do his chances no harm
- NEMO VICI – Looked rather ordinary when qualifying at Caen in October, posting 1’20’7. Front pads fitted for career bow but is still unlikely to shake things up
- NOBEL DU CHOQUEL – Untried colt from a good home. Did everything right in qualification, sports 4 pads for the occasion, and with Paul Ploquin reining can get straight down to business
- NOCARIO JEEP – Qualified decently at Le Mans last June. Hails from one of the best yards in the business and can make a big splash at the first time of asking
- NEXIT PAS GASSEL – Put in a good showing despite being eliminated at Vincennes 3.5 weeks ago, first time out. Front pads fitted this time which could make all the difference. Place chance
- NOBI BAROSSO – Interesting colt that was quickly eliminated on debut on 23 February. Left a good impression nevertheless and can play a prominent part if Alexis Collette gets him off on the right foot
- NOTRE DE MEMARTIN – Disappointing in both codes so far and even with Antonin Andre in the bike will struggle to make his presence felt
- NORD INTENSE – Disappointing in 2 starts to date, finishing well-beaten on both occasions, and appears to be out of his depth
- NINO VERO – Pleased here in September but failed to confirm the following month. Was eliminated on re-entry but will have progressed for the race and Damien Bonne will be aboard for the first time. First 5
- NECTAR DE BOMO – Has placed just once in 5 appearances under the saddle and with shoes fitted is unlikely to cause an upset
Summary: Unseen since qualifying respectably at Caen last May, NOBEL DU CHOQUEL (3) has had ample time to grow into himself, is fitted with pads, and makes his career debut with a realistic chance of making it a successful one. Similarly untried, and similarly solid in qualification, NOCARIO JEEP (4) also looks a player first time out. NEXIT PAS GASSEL (5) showed his form despite being eliminated on his recent debut, has been reconfigured for the occasion, and Alan Gendrot gets the nod this time. NOBI BAROSSO (6) lost his action early on debut at Le Croise-Laroche recently but can make amends if he assures his initial strides.

C8 – PRIX DE SANARY-SUR-MER – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - HORIZON D’EYMY – Has ample ability but has yet to convince this term. Is rarely far off the mark when focused but cannot be considered a priority
- HIDALGO DE VARENNE – Useful sort making just 2nd start for capable new trainer. Sports a new formula for the occasion but still not an obvious choice
- GOODMORNING CHARLY – Has done nothing but improve since late-December, latterly winning a Vincennes Class D with ease a fortnight back. Enjoys a good draw, is reunited with Matthieu Abrivard, and is unlikely to let the side down
- IRON JET – Unremarkable type with a pair of runs under his belt since the break. Has never excelled at Enghien and is not about to start now
- JACOMO BELLO – Serious trotter that has yet to be bested over course and distance. Is clearly at the top of his game and from the 5-slot can wrap this up
- JANKO HAUFOR – Had won 2 from 3 before running flat behind JIZOU D’ETANG (13) in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 15 February. Must not be too hastily judged though and should logically bounce back and be able to contest the finish
- GRAZIELA D’EL – Unexceptional since winning across town in early-December. Sports 4 pads this time and can be confidently ruled out
- IOUPY TOLLEVILLE – Gave a good account for the most part in 2025 but below-par in 3 this term. Races with pads, just as he did when victorious at Le Mans in December, and will be no shrinking violet if Franck Ouvrie positions him early
- JAGUAR DU FAN – Dependably-performant type that pleased at Laval last week, on first start back. Simply excels at Enghien and even though breaking from the back line, can nevertheless finish in the mix
- IMHOTEP FROMENTRO – Endured traffic problems when clearly going well in a 2700m Vincennes Class D on 15 February. On back row but can make amends if Gabriele Gelormini keeps him out of harm’s way
- JOS MAZA – Serious Dutch trotter that has shown a liking for Enghien and is currently in rude health. On back row but has good speed and looks competitive for a place on the podium
- GASSMAN D’ESSA – Modest trotter with better prospects in the claiming division these days and and will have nothing to offer
- JIZOU D’ETANG – Not the most consistent of horses but can trot. Was not disgraced when 5th in a Vincennes Class D mid-January and, with Alexandre Abrivard reining this time, should not be overlooked
Summary: Superb in the last half of 2025, JACOMO BELLO (5) has kept that form going since the turn of the year. He stormed up last time here and is ideally-positioned to repeat. JANKO HAUFOR (6) failed to deliver last time out but has otherwise been in excellent shape and Damien Bonne will be eager to put things right. JOS MAZA (11) has never failed to fire at Enghien and even though handed a 2nd-row draw should nevertheless play an important role. Runaway winner at Vincennes a fortnight ago, GOODMORNING CHARLY (3) takes on some younger horses this time but still has a lot to contribute. IMHOTEP FROMENTRO (10) caught the eye across town mid-February after having been denied a run and can make amends if kept out of trouble.

- MISSION SMART – Several solid efforts, 2nd in a Group 3 AQ race at Durtal over 2900m on December 14th on the latter. Live player
- LETS DANSE DOUDOU – Won on her last start over 2400m at Nantes in a conditions race on November 12th. Might need a few of these to misfire
- LISKARIA – Useful operator over jumps, 2nd last time in a Grade 3 chase over 4400m at Auteuil on December 7th. He won on debut on the flat in March last year over 2900m. Key chance
- L’OR MONSEIGNOR – Two 2nd place runs of late, the penultimate on the flat at Les Sables in a conditions race on August 7th over 3400m and the latter over hurdles in September. Others rate higher
- MADE IN VILLERETS – Finished 8th on his sole start over 2950m in a conditions race at Machecoul on February 10th. Can be opposed
- LASKATALL – Placed on all three starts, the latter over 2700m when 4th at Les Sables in a conditions race on July 20th, 2024. Lengthy absence to deal with but if fit she can have a say
- MALINE DE GRISSAY – Placed on her last two runs, 3rd on the latter over 3000m at Angers in a conditions race on February 12th. Can be on the premises and be a threat
Summary: Useful over jumps, LISKARIA (3) reverts to the flat, having scored on his debut on the level. He should be too smart for MISSION SMART (1), who has been in decent shape and was second in a Group 3 AQ race in mid-December at Durtal. She can make things interesting. - NAMASTAM – Filly by Savoir Vivre, the dam won 3 races on the flat and over hurdles. Best watched in the betting patters for any market moves
Summary: Some well bred newcomers in this and the well-bred NEUTRINO (4) will be expected to know what is required on debut and is given the nod over NO TEARS (8), who has a choice profile and looks good on paper. NOVAFIGURA HAS (5) is out of a useful mare who won five times and this gelding can play a leading role on his first day at school. NO RISK ALLEN (2) is another that has some good aspects to his profile and can be involved at the finish.

Summary: PAQUISTO (1) caught the eye when second on his debut at Argentan in a Class 4 hurdle in October last year. He has been given time and should be fit to go after an absence. He can score from KAVIK (3), who was third at this venue in October and can be forgiven his latest start in November. NORMANDY MAN (8) has joined a leading stable and will be well schooled for his hurdling debut and can have a say. ARABIAN FEVER (11) is another to consider on hurdling debut having shown plenty on the flat.
