French Selections Friday 13th

R1 ENGHIEN [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE JANVAL – 2875m (a2m) – Class F Amateur Drivers – Harness – EUR € 12,000

  1. JAIRO DE GUOZ – Good, consistent servant that ran 2nd in an amateurs Class F at Cordemais last Sunday. Takes on a tougher lot this time though and chances seem slim
  2. KADOR JOSSELYN – Takes to the amateur division for the first time following some modest pro performances. Will sport 4 pads for the first time though, with Barbara Guenet reining, and should be retained
  3. KANNABIS JELOCA – Has enjoyed a 2nd wind since starting to race barefoot. Will be entrusted to a master of his own trade for the occasion, and should be able to wrap this up
  4. KRONOS D’ERPION – Would have finished close at Amiens had he taken the last turn a bit tighter, but is clearly in fine shape and will be no easy touch
  5. INKERMAN DE PLAY – Undeniably useful at this level and recently finished a place behind KRONOS D’ERPION (4) at Amiens earlier in the month. Would be preferred barefoot but should still not be ruled out
  6. JAVANAIS – Versatile type that has not put a foot wrong this term, most recently coming 4th in a Nantes Class F in the professional ranks. Has solid amateur references and is unlikely to let the side down
  7. JUPANQUIE TONIQUE – Won at Chartres in November but twice failed to confirm. Is barefoot for first start back but still not a concern
  8. ICARE DU DOUET – Went into his winter break after posting 3 straight eliminations. Is not devoid of ability but is unlikely to generate much interest
  9. HORACE DU VIVIER – Useful sort with a particular liking for these conditions. On back row here but reassured at Pontchateau a week ago and should not be overlooked
  10. JAWAX DE KERYANN – Unbeaten in 3 amateur starts and most recently went close in the pro ranks at La Capelle. Ran 2nd on sole Enghien appearance and looks a player
  11. IDAO NAY – Faces first objective of the season after making comeback at Laval last week. Gave a fine account here last October, and will be competitively-shod this time, but others still preferred
Summary: One of the very few countries in which the flat and harness disciplines can cross over, Christophe Soumillon gets the drive on KANNABIS JELOCA (3) who has not put a foot out of line since last August. Given a brief rest after storming up at Saint-Galmier, it is hard to envisage him being bested. KRONOS D’ERPION (4) raced better at Amiens than the result would imply and looks the principal danger. JAWAX DE KERYANN (10) is forced to incur the penalty but has already imposed twice this year and is easy to like for a step on the podium. JAVANAIS (6) has been acquitting himself well of late and the front-row start will do his prospects no disservice.
    SELECTIONS

    C2 – PRIX DE GAGNY – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000
  12. JUEN EMONDEVILLE – Occasionally a handful but held his own in a Cordemais Class E 2 weeks ago. Has not raced at Enghien since imposing here in 2023, but in current condition, with Benjamin Rochard reining, will be afforded every chance
  13. JEROCASH DE PHYT’S – Delicate type that has failed to make any impact since last April and is unlikely to upset the status quo
  14. GUAPITA LAUMAX – Tricky element that tends to show more at a lower level. Was eliminated on comeback 2.5 weeks ago and can expect to have few friends
  15. IZIA DE MONGIVAL – Useful mare but lost her way last season. Is shod for comeback and will have nothing to bring to the party
  16. JOSHUA PEJI – Seldom far from faulting but has talent in spades. Eliminated more often than not here but has form over track and trip and will be dangerous if applied
  17. JERZINHO SPORT – In the frame in 2 of 4 at Enghien. Seldom disappoints when focused, is reunited with David Thomain for whom he goes well, and can compete for a place in the frame this time
  18. JULIANA DE RETZ – Known more for her monte exploits but has decent aptitude for the harness code. Is not the easiest to use but imposed on her only start here and cannot be discounted
  19. JALIMEDE – Ran 2nd in the amateur division at Vincennes before finishing 8th in a 2100m Class D next time. Has no particular love for Enghien but encouraged last time here and will have his supporters
  20. JOLYDOLE – Showed her form in a Vincennes Class B early last month before being eliminated. Returns to conditions she appreciates, has won 4 of 5 for Eric Raffin, and should be brought back into the fold. Chance
  21. HEAVEN STAR – Did nothing noteworthy in 2025 and recent re-entry did little to convince. Disregard
  22. JANE CASH – Made up for Vincennes blip when easily winning a Cordemais Class D 2 weeks ago. Is barefoot as she was when imposing here last spring and has a reasonable chance of keeping her unbeaten Enghien status intact
  23. IRMYLA DE SOMMAIRE – Reassuring winner of a 2950m Toulouse Class E a fortnight ago. Takes on some 7yo’s this time but is still worth keeping an eye on
  24. FRANCO FLEURI – Placed in 3 of 5 before finishing 10th of 13 in a Vincennes Class D on 19 February. Is new to the venue and unlikely to spice things up
  25. IERMES DE GUEZ – Ran 3rd in a Vincennes claimer before coming 4th, at 29-1, in a Vincennes Class D late last month. A repeat, however, seems improbable
Summary: A fine servant when barefoot and focused, JANE CASH (11) won under these conditions last May on her only Enghien run, and after routing the opposition at Cordemais recently, will be well-backed to confirm. Sébastien Ernault will need to be mindful though of the capricious but talented JOSHUA PEJI (5) who showed his form despite being eliminated at Vincennes a fortnight ago, and a shod but Eric Raffin-partnered JOLYDOLE (9) who has a particular liking for Enghien conditions. In his category here and better than his latest result would suggest, JERZINHO SPORT (6) has been fitted with a new formula and will be expected to figure more prominently.
    SELECTIONS
    JANE CASH (11) – JOSHUA PEJI (5) – JOLYDOLE (9) – JERZINHO SPORT (6)
    C3 – PRIX DU BLANC-MESNIL – 2875m (a2m) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 46,000
  26. LA LAGOSTERIA – Complicated mare making first appearance since 21 December. Is barefoot for the occasion though and it is just a question of time before she starts to come good again
  27. LUCERO TEJY – Returns to racing unshod-behind after prepping twice for this in the other code. Boasts a good record with Anthony Barrier and must be afforded respect
  28. LOTUS DES SABLES – Respectable for the most part but has looked ordinary so far this year and must first re-establish his credentials
  29. LE TRESOR KRAAILO – Not once out of first 2 since switching codes. Is new to the venue, but will appreciate the profile, and can make his Enghien bow a successful one
  30. LOVE ME DE CERISY – Eliminated under harness on comeback before easily winning a 2700m Class F at Lyon-La Soie a fortnight ago. Is unlikely to create an upset but should nevertheless hold his own
  31. LITTLE DRAGON – Opened his monte account on 23 February when comfortably winning a Class F at Le Croise-Laroche. Takes on a tougher task here but is still worth keeping an eye on
  32. LOOPING MIL – Back under the saddle after twice failing to fire under harness. Has little experience, but has shown potential, and cannot be discounted
  33. L’ONCLE SAM – Earnest element that held his own when being conditioned under harness at Angers in late-January. Is in race-mode this time and can play a leading role
  34. LERWICK PERRINE – Tricky but talented trotter that has already delivered under these conditions. Shoes off for the occasion and, with application, can impose
  35. LOVE’S SECRET – Returns to code of preference after a pair of harness conditioners. Goes well for his driver and even though shod, still represents a respectable place chance
  36. LULU JIVE – Has shown a different side since starting to race barefoot. Makes just 2nd appearance in the discipline but sports 4 pads for the first time and can play a small role if form transitions
  37. LEONARD DU CLOS – Returns to a track he appreciates after failing to deliver across town 2 weeks ago. Is in considerably better company this time and is not about to shake things up
Summary: There is no denying that LERWICK PERRINE (9) is not the easiest of horses to use but he has buckets of ability; he goes barefoot following a prep under harness and with application can finally get his nose back in front. In quite stark contrast, LE TRESOR KRAAILO (4) has demonstrated good consistency, and has taken superbly to his new vocation. Consistently in the thick of things when focused, L’ONCLE SAM (8) has yet to deliver at Enghien but he will be barefoot this time and must be respected. LOVE’S SECRET (10) stays shod for his first goal of the year but is reunited with Eric Raffin for whom he has already won twice.
    SELECTIONS
    LERWICK PERRINE (9) – LE TRESOR KRAAILO (4) – L’ONCLE SAM (8) – LOVE’S SECRET (10)
    C4 – PRIX DU BEAUJOLAIS – 2875m (a2m) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 41,000
  38. KIDAM DU METZ – No slouch on a good day but is too frequently eliminated to inspire much confidence
  39. KING CASH CEKE – Has not put a foot out of line since returning to competition in December. Has no particular love for Enghien however and others easier to support
  40. KOEUR DE VANILLE – Like a horse transformed since the turn of the year and will be shod as he was when triumphant at Graignes last month, but in this category seems to be taking on too much
  41. KID DE LA BANIO – Back on the right road after running 2nd in a 2400m Amiens Class E 3 weeks ago, however under these conditions will have limited prospects
  42. KALIO DE BRAYE – Lightly-raced trotter that won over course and distance last summer. Has just the one run in him since the break but should not be far from the action if sufficiently-fit
  43. KALIE PACHA – Oddly below-par behind KIBORA BUISSONAY (12) in a Vincennes Class D on 20 January when sporting a fresh configuration. In less-exalted company this time and David Thomain will be eager to set the record straight
  44. KILOU – Has started to come good again over recent weeks, latterly 3rd in a 2850m Mauquenchy Class E a month back, but will have more to find this time around
  45. KARNAC D’ALCI – Returned from his Christmas spell in excellent shape, and was beaten only by a good horse at Vincennes last time out. Is clearly close to his race and will be justifiably well-supported
  46. KHALEESI LA VIE – Blows hot and cold but has placed in 2 of last 3 starts, most recently in the amateur division. Is barefoot this time and although yet to impress at Enghien, can still play a small part
  47. KALL ME CENSERIE – Honest trotter that has enjoyed a change in fortunes over recent months. Takes on a better bunch this time though and is unlikely to create an upset
  48. KIARA DES BORDES – Has gone from strength to strength since moving to Christophe Henry’s yard. Has earned the right to step up in category and is unlikely to let the side down
  49. KIBORA BUISSONAY – Moderate mare that failed to make any impact in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago and can be passed over
  50. KING SUN DRALIAM – Got back in the game at Laval on 4 February when 2nd in a 2850m Class F. Alexandre Abrivard in the bike this time and must be taken seriously
  51. KARAT COOL – Got back in the winners’ circle late last month when victorious in a Saumur Class E, however at this level will have too much to do
  52. KATINA DE TOUSSAC – Took her game to another level before the turn of the year. Has a race under her belt, is competitively-shod, and it is easy to see her winning this
  53. KEOPS DE JUMILLY – Made up for a number of poor performances when placing in a Vincennes Class E early last month. Won over course and distance last October, his only Enghien appearance, and Pierre-Yves Verva will be justifiably confident of another good run
Summary: Impressive late last year at Vincennes, and wonderfully-engaged here, KATINA DE TOUSSAC (15) is reunited with Benjamin Rochard who imposed with her last October, goes without hind shoes for the occasion, and can open her 2026 account. KARNAC D’ALCI (8) has been knocking at the door since the autumn and is more competitively-shod than he was across town last month. Enjoying something of a resurgence after being bought out of a claimer, KIARA DES BORDES (11) will have her chances, as will KALIE PACHA (6) who is dynamic when barefoot.
    SELECTIONS
    KATINA DE TOUSSAC (15) – KARNAC D’ALCI (8) – KIARA DES BORDES (11) – KALIE PACHA (6)
    C5 – PRIX DE PIERREFORT – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 53,000
  54. LETTRE D’AMOUR – Impressive at 3 but has done little of note for some time and can be confidently ruled out
  55. LE TOUQUET – Made amends for a pair of February eliminations when comfortably winning a Class D over track and trip this time last week. Steps up in category but still has the wherewithal to double his money
  56. L’ENVIE D’HERFRAIE – Useful mare with just the one race under her belt since the winter break, but has bags of ability, has previously placed here, and has a reasonable chance of making first 5
  57. LERIKA DU CHENE – 6th of 10 finishers in a 2100m Vincennes Class C on 5 February, but could well have won had she not been boxed in. Takes on the boys this time but form is not in question and can make a big impact if kept out of harm’s way
  58. LEXINGTON DANICA – Secured victory in a 2100m Vincennes Class D on 11 January before losing his action on 3 February. Comes here fresh and will be dangerous if Benjamin Rochard keeps him trotting
  59. LAKARA – Moderate mare making first appearance since June 2025 and will have nothing to contribute
  60. LIQUIDATEUR – Produced a good run to finish close 3rd in a 2700m Vincennes Class C on 13 February. Has yet to deliver over these shorter trips but in current condition is still easy to like
  61. LA DIVA SUPREME – Is plainly capable, and has form at the venue, but is never far from losing her action. With application though, and a good break, will have the chance to pick up some prizemoney
  62. LITTLETON LANDING – Failed to confirm 19 January Vincennes victory when 6th in a 2850m Class C at the same venue 3 weeks ago. Shoes on and no threat
  63. LE MIRACLE – Made the frame in 4 straight before being sent for a spell. Tends to go well at Enghien but in this company may struggle to make his presence felt
  64. LAUSSAC DU BUISSON – Moves to Enghien after having produced a brace of solid efforts across town this year. Is shod as he was when 4th over course and distance last October, but will need to show more this time around
  65. LEA D’ATOUT – Springs the occasional surprise but trounced in both starts this year and has no possible chance this time either
  66. LIMO DE MER – Good, consistent campaigner taking a notable jump in category after running 3rd in a 2100m Vincennes Class C in early-February, and the draw will do him no favours
  67. LEMONADE FIZZ – Gave a fine account on 10 February comeback, winning a Vincennes Class D. Sports a fresh configuration for the occasion, has never failed to fire here, but appears to be aimed too high this time
  68. LILY MARGOT – Serious mare but can prove a handful. Has a pair of return runs under her belt, will be shod for competition, but others still easier to back
  69. LIVINIO FLAC – Returns to the capital after producing a pair of fine performances on the Riviera last month. Has pulled a rough number but in present form is easy to fancy for a first-5 payout
Summary: It is almost always be a question of all-or-nothing for LE TOUQUET (2) but he reassured in no uncertain terms here a week ago and from the 2 slot a repeat is decidedly possible. Theo Duvaldestin will still be wary of the nicely-positioned LEXINGTON DANICA (5) who should not be condemned for faulting at Vincennes last month, and the well-placed and in-form LERIKA DU CHENE (4) who was denied a run across town last time. LIQUIDATEUR (7) encouraged in a Vincennes Class C a month back and makes his Enghien debut with a good hand to play.
    SELECTIONS
    LE TOUQUET (2) – LEXINGTON DANICA (5) – LERIKA DU CHENE (4) – LIQUIDATEUR (7)
    C6 – PRIX DE FENAIN – 2250m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 46,000
  70. MAMBO DE LA VALLEE – Delicate sort that has done nothing noteworthy since last September and can be confidently disregarded
  71. MY LOVE D’AR – Has returned to competition in good order but is being aimed much too high this time
  72. MYTIC RENARDIER – Occasionally spirited but left a good impression in a Vincennes Class D on 20 January. Has had time to get back in shape but looks more a minor place prospect on this occasion
  73. MAINTENANTOUJAMAIS – Eliminated in a Vincennes Gr.3 on comeback 3.5 weeks ago. Is seldom far from faulting but, with application, will be no pushover
  74. MALLAURY D’AVEL – Fine servant with nothing to prove in this branch of the business but has not raced since mid-December and will need the outing
  75. MINILADY DE CHOC – Decent filly with solid monte aptitude but has no references at Enghien and others easier to back
  76. MELODIE DE BLARY – Eliminated in 3 of last 4 but has proved her form in superior company. With stride in check, a place in the picture is well within her capability
  77. MELANCHOLY MAN – Ran 3rd on sole start at the venue but latest effort did little to convince
  78. MARIEVA DE LOU – Got off the mark across town in early-January before coming 3rd in a Class C at the same venue 2.5 weeks ago. Goes barefoot again and has a realistic chance of contesting the finish
  79. MILES DAVIS WIND – Serious future prospect that has yet to taste defeat this year. Faced little opposition on either occasion and, on good behaviour, can secure the 3-timer
  80. MAYA GERBEHAYE – Handy filly that ran 4th of 14 in a Vincennes harness Class B just under 3 weeks ago. Eric Raffin in the irons this time and will be expected to figure prominently
Summary: Unbeaten in 2 starts since his winter spell, MILES DAVIS WIND (10) was most impressive last time out and, in current form, is easy to fancy for the hat-trick. Back in business after starting to race competitively-shod, MARIEVA DE LOU (9) will receive an Alexandre Abrivard ride this time and looks a leading contender on Enghien debut. MELODIE DE BLARY (7) comes here off the back of 2 straight eliminations but did run 5th in the Gr.1 Saint-Leger des Trotteurs last autumn and, if applied, can finish close. MAINTENANTOUJAMAIS (4) has a certain temperament but he is not short of ability, and will race unshod-behind for the first time.
    SELECTIONS
    MILES DAVIS WIND (10) – MARIEVA DE LOU (9) – MELODIE DE BLARY (7) – MAINTENANTOUJAMAIS (4)
    C7 – PRIX DE PREUILLY – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 46,000
  81. MESSINA – Close 5th behind MANHATTAN RAIN (8) in a 2100m Class C across town late last month. Has yet to prove herself at Enghien but will be reunited with Alexandre Abrivard and is unlikely to be far off the mark
  82. MY HAPPY STORY – No closer than 6th in 4 starts so far this year. Has been fitted with front pads for the first time but others still easier to recommend
  83. MYSTERY QUEEN – Got back in the game early last month when 2nd in a 2700m Vincennes Class B. Will be barefoot again and David Thomain will be confident of confirming
  84. MAYOLA VEDAQUAISE – Decent filly from arguably the best nursery in the land. Pleased twice across town last month and from the 4 slot is easy to recommend
  85. MAHIZ DE GUEZ – Talented filly but has considerably better aptitude for the monte code and will be shod for the occasion
  86. MIYA DE JOUDES – Comes to the capital on a hat-trick and will be reined by Eric Raffin on this occasion. Is nicely-placed on the front line and can pull it off
  87. MERYTATON – Sprang a 43-1 surprise when victorious in a 2700m Vincennes Class D 2.5 weeks ago. Sports modified shoeing this time and a repeat seems unlikely
  88. MANHATTAN RAIN – Looked a different horse when 2nd in a 2100m Class C late last month. Similarly shod here and will not be sent out at 30-1 this time
  89. MAGGY JENILOU – Complicated element that won well at Cagnes in January but failed to confirm 2.5 weeks ago and cannot be regarded a priority
  90. MAMZELLE D’HERIPRE – Like a horse reborn since late-November. Imposed at Cagnes last month when first-time barefoot, and even though in better company this time, should still be good enough to make first 5
  91. MEGANE DE CERISY – Tricky sort returning to racing shod after being eliminated at Vincennes 3 weeks ago and can be confidently ruled out
  92. MYRTILLE MARBOULA – Moderate mare with just the one run under her belt since the spell. Drops marginally in category but has little going for her this time either
Summary: Facile winner of her last 2 starts, MIYA DE JOUDES (6) will be entrusted to Eric Raffin for the first time and can open her Enghien account at the first time of asking. The champion driver will still be keeping a watchful eye on the delicate but recently-reassuring MANHATTAN RAIN (8) who starts widest on the front row. MYSTERY QUEEN (3) gave a superb account of herself at Vincennes last month and, barefoot again, is hard to ignore. A place behind her that day before confirming a week later, MAYOLA VEDAQUAISE (4) races barefoot at Enghien for the first time and should not be underestimated.
    SELECTIONS
    MIYA DE JOUDES (6) – MANHATTAN RAIN (8) – MYSTERY QUEEN (3) – MAYOLA VEDAQUAISE (4)
    C8 – GRAND PRIX DU VENDREDI 13 (PIERREFITTE) – 2150m (a1m1/4) – Class C – Harness – EUR € 68,000
  93. IRON DU GERS – Good servant with form at this level. Has had ample time to recalibrate following his monte disappointment and is easy to like for a place in the frame
  94. HAIDA SAUTONNE – Was going well at Cagnes-sur-Mer 3 weeks ago when unable to avoid a fall. Has previously imposed under these conditions but cannot be considered a contender this time around
  95. GAUDEPSOU – Unplaced in all 3 starts this year. Has been handed a good draw but at this level will have nothing to offer
  96. JAPPELOUP TURGOT – Capable on a good day but is not in race-mode this time and best left alone
  97. IRIS FROM – Fast-finishing 3rd in a 2900m Amiens Gr.3 on 4 March, her first start for over 2 months. Has yet to impose here, and is unlikely to once again, but from the 5 slot can however finish in the mix
  98. HISA DU MARGAS – Showed improvement a fortnight ago when 4th in a 2700m Vincennes Class C. Has failed to deliver in last 5 Enghien runs though and others easier to back
  99. JOLIE SURPRISE – Ran 2nd in a Cagnes Class C before failing to deliver in a Vincennes Gr.3 on 25 January, but excels with Eric Raffin and can again finish close
  100. DESIDERIO D’ESI – Quality Italian sort with excellent Paris credentials. Gave a fine account on comeback last month and makes first appearance for Duvaldestin yard with a lot to contribute
  101. JOBSPOST – Went into her break mid-December on a high note, and picked up 2.5 weeks ago where he left off. Will have come on for the run and will not be easy to oppose
  102. COOL KRONOS – Beaten only by an excellent horse on re-entry in a Cagnes Gr.3 on 20 February. Not ideally-drawn but must nevertheless be taken more seriously
  103. HIGH FIRE DAIRPET – Previously a good sort but has been off the boil for the past year and can be ruled out
  104. HANIELLE CREPIN – Handy mare with better form in the monte discipline and will have other ambitions
  105. INFINIMENT CITRON – Reliably performant sort making just 2nd start since his layoff. Is competitively-shod but in this company will struggle to make his mark
  106. DYLAN DOG FONT – Useful Italian type that has suffered a certain amount of misfortune recently at Vincennes. Should take well to the Enghien profile but still represents no more than a minor place chance
  107. DIVA DEL RONCO – Produced a pair of good runs at Vincennes last month, latterly 2nd to JOBSPOST (9) in a 2100m Class D. Steps up in category, and has pulled a tough number, but is no slouch and can get a look in
  108. CERTAINLY (SWE) – Is not short of ability, and has never disappointed at Enghien, but has done nothing of note so far this term and can be passed over
Summary: It may have taken him a couple of runs to come good after leaving Sweden but JOBSPOST (9) comes to Enghien on a hat-trick after having scored twice across town. Bjorn Goop would have preferred a better draw but his charge is still going to take all the beating. Gr.1-placed in France and 4th in a Gr.3 on his sole start at the venue, DESIDERIO D’ESI (8) breaks wide but debuts for his new yard and represents the main threat. IRON DU GERS (1) returns to his code of preference after having failed to deliver on his monte bow and must be considered a decent place prospect. COOL KRONOS (10) left a fine impression in a Cagnes Gr.3 on re-entry 3 weeks ago and, winner on his only Enghien run, is easy to like despite a 2nd line draw. Better off behind the car, IRIS FROM (5) gave a fine account in the Amiens GNT race recently and is not about to go home empty-handed.

C1 – PRIX GEORGES ET HELENE LEON – 3000m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 23,000

  1. MONNAIE DE VIETTE – Showed some improvement and was fifth in a class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 3 March. Hard to trust and others make more appeal
  2. MIRACLE DE CAPONET – Successful in his last two starts, the latest in a class F at Saint-Galmier over 2650m on 1 February. Can complete a hat-trick
  3. MALIN DE L’ANTE – In good form and was runner-up in a class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 3 March. Can contest the finish
  4. MISS MARGOT – Not reliable and finished 8th in a class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 3 March. More is needed to beat these runners
  5. MACAO MIP – Disqualified twice in a row, the latest in a class E at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2700m on 3 February. Can be a real threat back at this course
  6. MALIDA – Off form and finished 9th in a class C at Marseille-Vivaux over 2650m on 11 December. Needs to do a lot more to score
  7. MIGUEL DU CHERISAY – Not disgraced when fifth in a class C at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 25 February. Unreliable but might play a minor role
  8. MIDLAND D’OYSE – Disqualified in a class C at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2700m on 27 December. Not easy to trust and could need this run returning from a break
  9. MBAPE DES CHARRONS – A winner of two of his last three starts, including last time out in a class C at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 25 February. Continues to improve and can score again
  10. MADE IN CARLESS – Did not show her best when 8th in a Group 3 at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 2925m on 12 February. Fitter this time and can bounce back to win
Summary: MBAPE DES CHARRONS (9) is improving and has some solid wins of late. He is highly regarded and can see off these rivals if showing his best side. MADE IN CARLESS (10) should strip fitter this time around and can be a threat. MACAO MIP (5) has a pair of faults of late but can contest the finish when staying in stride. MALIN DE L’ANTE (3) is in good form and capable of shining brightly once again, so must be respected.

  11. L’OCEAN – Not reliable but finished 7th in a Class E at Cavaillon over 2150m on 20 February. Can be a real threat to these rivals
  12. LUCKY DAY – Holding form and finished 4th in a Class F at Auch over 2250m on 21 February. Can be competive once again
  13. LETOILE AMERICAINE – Bounced back with a win in a Class F at Hyères over 2650m on 8 February. Hard to trust but can follow up if she stays in stride
