R1 VINCENNES [L-H]
C1 – PRIX DE NIORT – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 49,000
- MERCEDES STAR – Sprang a 60-1 surprise when 5th behind ROCKY MOM (2) in a Class D over track and trip on 17 April, however a repeat seems unlikely
- ROCKY MOM – Gave a fine account in a Class D under these conditions on 17 April. Has never failed to fire here and is due to open his French account any day now
- ENJOY (HUN) – Hungarian-bred that stormed up on French debut at Agen on 22 March. Lost his action in Lyon next time but could pleasantly surprise if Matthieu Abrivard keeps him trotting. Attention
- KRISTO STAR – Failed to confirm Lyon-Parilly success when trounced in a Reims Class F 3 weeks ago and can be passed over
- REDBULL PELLINI – Ran 2nd at Pontchateau on first start for new yard before being well-beaten in a 2100m Class E here late last month, and is unlikely to create an upset
- ENEA FONT – Didn’t skip a beat on debut for new stable in a Toulouse Class E 12 days ago. Returns to Vincennes with morale intact and should figure prominently at the business end of the race
- ELLEN RIPLEY – Useful Scandinavian mare that has yet to deliver since coming to France and is unlikely to spice things up
- KAPORAL CARISAIE – Has won 5 of last 6 races this term. Has placed in 1 of 2 starts here, but in this company will struggle to make his mark
- KAZAN BEACH – Secured victory in a Pontchateau Class E on 12 April when sporting pads. Has a lot more going for him here and has a realistic chance of imposing
- KONRAD DE CORDAY – Good, consistent element making first appearance since placing at Cagnes-sur-Mer 2 months ago. Is new to Vincennes but will race barefoot and cannot be ruled out
- JUBII VANG – Was not disgraced behind ROCKY MOM (2) here on 17 April but faces a stiffer challenge this time around
- JILIKA DU MESLE – Has raced honourably this season so far but will still need to find more than she showed here on 24 April
- ICARE DES FORGES – Quality trotter that has returned to competition in excellent shape. Has not been seen here since 2022 but sports 4 pads for the first time, and will not be far off the mark if Pierre-Yves Verva keeps him focused
- DISTILLATO – Won 2 in a row at home in Switzerland before coming close 2nd in a Lyon-Parilly Class E on 8 April. Is entrusted to David Thomain for the first time and, although not the biggest fan of Vincennes, still cannot be discounted
- DAUPHIN JOYEUSE – Nicely-entered element that won a 2850m Class E last time here. Most recently showed his form at San Siro and is not incapable of picking up a cheque
- ETRANGER JOYEUSE – Returns to a venue he likes after clinching victory in a Cavaillon Class D a month ago. Is a tough nut when focused and will be expected to finish in the mix
Summary: KAZAN BEACH (9) showed at Pontchateau last month that he is clearly at his best and, barefoot with Eric Raffin back in the bike, can double up. He will still feel the heat from the wonderfully consistent ROCKY MOM (2) who just missed out on his recent return to France, and ENEA FONT (6) who imposed at Toulouse 12 days ago on his first start for the Guarato stable. Successful at Cavaillon a month back, ETRANGER JOYEUSE (16) enjoys a fine entry and boasts a 60 percent win-rate at Vincennes. ICARE DES FORGES (13) has endured an interrupted career but he is competitively-shod following a pair of productive conditioners and will be no soft touch.

C2 – PRIX DE CHAMPIGNY SUR MARNE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000 - MORNING PRAYER – Drops down the category ladder for first start since early-December. Races competitively-shod for the first time and, if applied, can pick up some prizemoney
- MY LUCK – Has not finished out of the first 3 in 7 career starts. Has demonstrated good versatility and if luckier than she was here late last month, should be good enough to impose
- MAKE IT RIGHT – Has not put a foot wrong since beginning to race competitively-shod. Tends to go well for Benjamin Rochard and can again contest the finish
- MARVA CALENDES – Was in the lead when eliminated in a 2150m Enghien Class D on 16 April. Benefits from a fine position here and Gabriele Gelormini will be keen to take advantage
- MY LOVELY EBONY – Has been enjoying something of a renaissance over recent months, latterly securing a Class D over course and distance early last month. In better company this time but has pulled a good number and must be afforded respect
- MANOU DU CHENE – Modest element in this branch of the business. Is preparing for a monte campaign and can be ignored
- MOONSTAR JYL – Failed to secure the hat-trick when eliminated in a 2700m Class D here in late-March, but has already won for her driver and from the front row can give this a good go
- MENTHE FRAICHE – Has shown improvement since starting to race barefoot but will need to show more than she did in an Enghien Class D 3 weeks ago
- MAMZELLE D’HERIPRE – Has shown marked improvement this season but faces a tough bunch here and the draw doesn’t help matters
- MELICIANA – Eliminated in 2 of 3 this season but most certainly showed her form here last week and will have her chances if Mathieu Mottier manages to keep her mind on the game
- MARAVIGLIA – Can prove a handful but is otherwise in good condition. Would have contested the finish in a 2700m Class D here last week had she not faulted, and even though on the back line, should nonetheless hold her own. First 5
- MAGIC ROSE – Gr.3-placed filly starting for the first time since late-December. Is unlikely to create an upset but will be first-time barefoot and worth monitoring
Summary: Wonderfully-consistent but unlucky 3rd on her Vincennes debut last week, MY LUCK (2) tries her hand over 2100m this time and from the 2 slot can impose. Alexandre Abrivard will still want to be wary of the in-form MAKE IT RIGHT (3) who kicked the year off victoriously here in mid-March, and the well-placed MARVA CALENDES (4) who was going good-guns when eliminated here 3 weeks ago. MELICIANA (10) was not the most fortunate either last time out and Mathieu Mottier will be keen to set the record straight.

C3 – PRIX DE DURBAN – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C – Mounted – EUR € 46,000 - NAPOLI DU CEBE – Takes to the ridden discipline after faulting on debut under harness 2 weeks ago. Benjamin Rochard gets the nod and is not one to be overlooked
- NIGHT OPAJELO – Has yet to show any flair for the discipline and can be confidently disregarded
- NATSUMI QUEEN – Looked rather ordinary on harness debut at Nancy in late-March. Pierre-Yves Verva stays faithful and can pick up a cheque if he succeeds in keeping her mind on the game
- NAMBALADA – Switches discipline for the first time, having failed to excel this term under harness. Guillaume Martin in the irons here and should be taken seriously
- NEW GIRL OF MAMAT – Gave a fine account on debut at Enghien in March but has been eliminated in 2 since and is unlikely to garner much support
- NUEVA DE VANDEL – Has yet to make her mark at Vincennes but has significant untapped potential. Was plainly out of sorts last week but backs up with a realistic chance of making amends
- NYLLA DU GOUTIER – Placed over the inner course to kick the season off but has subsequently twice failed to finish over the main track. Has buckets of potential though and with application can finally open her account
Summary: Clearly talented but eliminated in her last 2, NYLLA DU GOUTIER (7) drops back to a more reasonable level and could well lose her maiden status if Eric Raffin manages to keep her trotting. He will still be mindful of Mathieu Mottier’s no-less-complicated NUEVA DE VANDEL (6) who has also shown considerable monte potential, and NAMBALADA (4) who will have had the monte code as an alternative for some time.
SELECTIONS

C4 – PRIX DE SARTENE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 46,000 - QUEEN OF PARIS – Showed promise at home in Sweden but has failed to make any impression since coming south and can be ruled out
- FAITH DI POGGIO – Talented Italian element that was eliminated on Vincennes bow on 22 February, his first start since July 2025. Eric Raffin reining this time but still appears to be facing a tough test
- FORTEBRACCIO FONT – Modest sort that finished last in an Enghien Class B late last month. Has been reconfigured but still has nothing to offer
- FITNESS GRIF – New recruit for the Alain Chavatte stable. Has never raced beyond 2250m but has bags of ability, sports a new configuration, and will be one to watch
- SAMMY BOY (BEL) – Ran 3rd under these conditions earlier in the year but has failed to deliver in his last 2. Is barefoot this time but others still easier to back
- TAURUS CROWN – Well-regarded nordic import that has placed just once in 4 French starts. Is in competition-mode this time though and will have his supporters
- ORANGE CRUSH – Returns to a track he likes after flying up over a mile at Victoria Park 3 weeks ago. Is new to 2700m but will have no issue with the trip and is unlikely to disappoint. First 5
- FOTOFINISH GIOVI – Quality transalpine mare with considerable ability. Shoes off for Vincennes bow and will be no pushover if she takes to the new conditions
- LOVELY WILMA – Has taken her game up a notch since the turn of the year. Tends to go well for Alexandre Abrivard and returns to racing barefoot with a good hand to play
- LE MAGNIFIQUE – Produced 1’10’8 when winning a Class E over 2175m here on 11 April. Has progressed even further with his new handler and will be well-backed to repeat
- LOVE DANCER – Quality individual with a race under his belt following the layoff. Has never delivered at Vincennes but is barefoot for the first time here and can challenge for a place in the frame
- FLAMENCO FER – Useful on a good day and has form at the venue, but is shod for comeback and will have few friends
- LOVE BITES – Undeniably talented but eliminated in all 3 Vincennes appearances. Is reunited with Benjamin Rochard but others still easier to trust
- LUCERO TEJY – Has made little impact under harness this season and even with pads fitted is not about to set off any fireworks
- L’AVENIR – Nicely-entered here but has done nothing of note for some time and is unlikely to spring any surprises
- LITCHI BAM – Has not been seen out since 15 February but will have been kept on the boil for this engagement and looks the principal danger to LE MAGNIFIQUE (10)
Summary: Unbeaten in 2 starts since moving to Mathieu Mottier’s yard, LE MAGNIFIQUE (10) won brilliantly here almost a month ago and a similar run would see him pull off the hat-trick. LITCHI BAM (16) has been held back since imposing on re-entry here in mid-February but has yet to be bested when barefoot and benefits from a golden entry. Consistent Italian mare, FOTOFINISH GIOVI (8) pleased at Enghien in March on her first French start, has since joined the Charley Mottier team and will be first-time barefoot. LOVE DANCER (11) has nothing to prove at this level, and has no particular love for the main track, but is barefoot this time and, with application, will not be going home empty-handed.

C5 – PRIX DE QUIBERON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B – Harness – EUR € 52,000 - MERCURE D’ELLE – Has won 4 of last 5 starts but is shod for re-entry and best to keep one’s powder dry
- MARQUIS DU CHENE – Seldom gets his nose in front but always gives his best. Did not enjoy the bets of trips last time out but still faces a tough test
- MUST DE CAHOT – Starts for the first time since winning a 2175m Class C here in early-February. Would be preferred more competitively-shod and but still cannot be ruled out
- MOHAWK – Starts for first time since being eliminated in a 2100m Class A here on 19 February. Is clearly in his category and will be no easy touch if Mathieu Mottier keeps him trotting
- MIX CASH – Quality colt with decent Vincennes credentials but has not been seen out since December and even though unshod-behind, will still need the race
- MON PLAISIR – Honest colt that opened his 2026 account 3.5 weeks ago in a Class C over course and distance. In better company this time though and looks a minor place chance at best
- MEA CULPA – Moderate trotter with better prospects at a lower level and is unlikely to cause an upset
- MILORD DE BUY – Starts for the first time since dominating a 2925m Cagnes Class A 2 months ago. Runner-up in last 2 Vincennes starts, and barefoot for the first time here, is unlikely to let the side down
- MALUMA D’ANGIS – Should not be too hastily-condemned for recent elimination. Alexandre Abrivard keeps the faith and will be eager to put things right
- MACHIAVEL BOURBON – Ran 8th on comeback here behind stablemate MOONWALK D’HERIPRE (14) on 24 April. Is patently in competition-mode this time and, already 4 times a winner for Eric Raffin, is not to be underestimated
- MONSIEUR AS – Got straight down to business on comeback 3 weeks ago, clinching victory in a Cordemais Class D. Goes barefoot again and while not a leading contender, can nevertheless get in on the action
- MUSIKO CAUVELLIERE – Very disappointing since returning to competition in March. Won here last November but has done little of note since and can be discounted
- MAHARAJA ATOUT – Made short work of a 2850m Feurs Class C last month on just 2nd start since the break. Moves back up in category but will be reconfigured and David Thomain will be eager to repeat
- MOONWALK D’HERIPRE – Tough element with form in better company. Was given an easy conditioner on 24 April, and in his new configuration will not be easy to oppose
Summary: A fine servant when focused, MOONWALK D’HERIPRE (14) sports a fresh configuration for his return to Vincennes, is confirmed at a superior level, and can win this if Benjamin Rochard keeps him trotting. Also from the same stable, and similarly reconfigured for the occasion, MACHIAVEL BOURBON (10) will be sufficiently fit by now and should again figure prominently, but may first have to see off the justifiably well-regarded, and reconfigured, MAHARAJA ATOUT (13) who imposed at Feurs just over a fortnight ago when being prepared for this. For MOHAWK (4), it is often a question of all-or nothing; he sports new shoeing for his return to competition and has won 3 of 6 with Mathieu Mottier.

C6 – PRIX MASINA – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - NOT FOR FUN – Capable filly but has not been seen out since January and will need the run
- NIKITA – Runner-up to NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX (8) in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Aschera on 17 April. Will not be sent out at 68-1 this time and is unlikely to be as competitive either
- NOIRE INTENSE – Never far from faulting but plainly has considerable ability. Was quickly eliminated in Prix Aschera but can make amends if her trainer manages to keep her mind on the game
- NONEKA – Failed to live up to expectations when 5th to NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX (8) in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Aschera on 17 April, and will first need to re-establish her credentials
- NOVA TIM – 4th to NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX (8) in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Aschera on 17 April. Gave a surprisingly good effort that day but will struggle to repeat
- NORD AMERICAINE – Ran 4th in Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson before being sent for a spell. Oddly out of sorts when 7th to NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX (8) on re-entry in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Aschera on 17 April, but is clearly better than that and must be taken seriously
- NORMA JEANE – 2nd to NOELA JOSSELYN (10) in Gr.3 Prix de Châtillon over course and distance on 21 March before being eliminated under the saddle early last month, and others easier to back
- NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX – Has yet to deliver at this level but gave a fine account over shorter here on 17 April, easily winning Gr.3 Prix Aschera. Returns to racing shod and will not be far off the mark if she stays in stride
- NIKITA DES CHARMES – Useful servant but never far from losing her action. Is here for a change of scenery and unlikely to shake things up
- NOELA JOSSELYN – Has placed in 1 of 2 at this level, and latterly dominated the Gr.3 Prix de Chatillon over course and distance. Is unlikely to get her nose in front, but can nevertheless contest a place on the podium
- NAYARA – Has shown decent aptitude for both codes, having placed in both disciplines at this level. Showed her form in the Gr.2 Prix Hemine here 3.5 weeks ago and is most likely here for reasons of conditioning
- NORMANDIE NIEMEN – Surprisingly beaten by NOCIVE DU CHOQUEL (13) Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson over course and distance on 15 February. Comes here fresh and trainer Philippe Allaire will be legitimately hopeful that she can turn the tables
- NOCIVE DU CHOQUEL – Has won 3 of last 4 starts, latterly Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson over course and distance on 15 February, and a similar performance would see her confirm
Summary: Winner of February’s Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson at 15-1, NOCIVE DU CHOQUEL (13) returns from a well-earned spell and looks to have a realistic chance of repeating. NORMANDIE NIEMEN (12) failed to confirm her Gr.2 Prix Roquépine victory that day when a close second, and David Thomain will have a point to prove. NACRE DU MOUTHIEUX (8) ran out a commanding winner of the Gr.3 Prix Aschera last month and even though shod this time, she moves back up in category with a good hand to play. NOELA JOSSELYN (10) was most impressive last time out and Nicolas Bazire will be anticipating another competitive run.

C7 – PRIX PAUL KARLE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Gr2 – Harness – EUR € 120,000 - NANO UP STAR – Returned to victorious ways on re-entry last month in a Toulouse Class B, but has little liking for Vincennes and can be dismissed
- NEO DE JOUDES – Undefeated in all 4 starts to date, latterly winning a 2175m Class B comfortably here on 11 April. The 5-timer is unlikely but should nevertheless acquit himself honourably, and racing with hind pads will do his chances no disservice
- NIKKEI PONT ROYAL – Sent for a break after failing to make any impact in 17 April race of reference. Has just one conditioner under his belt and would be preferred sporting front pads
- NELSON DE BUSSET – Has pleased just once in 5 starts over the Vincennes main track and is not about to spring any surprises
- NOVECENTO – Ran 2nd, at 40-1, in Gr.3 Prix Penthesilea over course and distance on 27 March before losing his action in Prix Atlas, and others easier to back
- NET MONEY – Showed improvement when 4th to NAT KING COLE (11) in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Atlas on 17 April. Confirmation, however, seems improbable
- NICE SPEED – Lost his action when going well in Gr.3 Prix Atlas after having won Gr.3 Prix Penthesilea over course and distance on 27 March. Starts at this level for the first time but is a serious future prospect that must be respected. Place chance
- NOT THIS TIME – Put a pair of eliminations behind him to run 2nd to NAT KING COLE (11) in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Atlas on 17 April. Is not a priority but still cannot be discounted
- NEVER FORGET – Useful sort making his first appearance since being eliminated early in Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson over course and distance on 15 February. Shoes back on and others preferred this time
- NEWTON DES ANDIERS – Makes first appearance under the saddle after running 2nd in a monte Gr.2 here 3.5 weeks ago. Races shod this time and can be passed over
- NAT KING COLE – It took some time but got back to winning ways in 2175m Gr.3 Prix Atlas on 17 April. Has yet to produce the goods at this level but it is just a question of time
- NELSON EMGE – Has been rested since valiantly running 3rd in the Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson over course and distance on 15 February. Has been knocking at the door at this level since December and will be rewarded one of these days
- NOB HILL – Serious trotter that must be forgiven his lacklustre Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson performance on 15 February. Will have had this on his radar since then and is easy to like for the win
- NUEVO CASH – Given time to recalibrate after being eliminated in Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson over course and distance on 15 February. Is already a Gr.2 winner this year and will have his chances if he keeps trotting
- NINJA DE L’ENVOL – Is clearly better in the other code, as he has shown over recent months, but can nevertheless pick up a cheque
Summary: A colt of the first order, NOB HILL (13) was sent for a rest after surprisingly failing to deliver in the Gr.1 Prix Comte Pierre de Montesson in mid-February. He will have been specifically prepared for this and should logically set the record straight. Also sent for a break that day after having run 3rd, NELSON EMGE (12) is competitively-shod for his comeback and looks the main danger. Winner of a Gr.3 last time over 2700m, NICE SPEED (7) steps up in class with a good hand to play. Also making his first appearance since February, NUEVO CASH (14) goes over any trip and is plainly in race-mode.

C8 – PRIX DE NEUFCHATEAU – 2850m (a2m) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 59,000 - JAZZ D’OURVILLE – Runner-up to JAPAROV LIRE (11) in a Class D over track and trip on 20 March before being denied a run under the same conditions 12 days ago. Is patently in fine shape though and from the front line can make a big splash
- JOB DU PERSIL – Got back in the game at Graignes 3.5 weeks ago when 2nd in a 2725m Class F, but in this category has no possible chance
- JAGUAR DE LAUMAC – Seldom gets his nose in front these days but pleased at Amiens on first objective of the season, and will have his supporters
- GISARO – Has twice failed to deliver after imposing at Nantes in February. Benefits from a front-line start but is still not a concern
- IOUPY TOLLEVILLE – Ran 3rd to JAPAROV LIRE (11) before coming 5th in a 2850m Laval Class D 3 weeks ago. Has solid references when sporting pads and has a realistic chance of picking up some prizemoney
- I STILL LOVING YOU – Serious type that goes over any trip. Eliminated in last 2, including over track and trip, but it is just a question of time before he comes good again
- HURIEL LUDOIS – Disappointing in both codes since returning this season. Is not entirely devoid of ability but is nonetheless biting off more than he can chew
- ISERIA GRIFF – Showed improvement when 5th in a Class D over course and distance early last month. Has been entrusted to Benjamin Rochard and should not be too far from the action
- IDOLE DE MEAT – Quality mare making first appearance since early-January. Is clearly in conditioning-mode and can be ruled out
- JIZOU D’ETANG – Excellent winner of an Enghien Class D before unluckily losing his action in a Chateaubriant Gr.3 a fortnight back. Is clearly better than most here and Damien Bonne will be eager to prove the point
- JAPAROV LIRE – Failed to repeat Class D course-and-distance victory when last of 10 behind JAZZ D’OURVILLE (1) under these conditions on 24 April. Enjoys a decent engagement and should not be underestimated
Summary: Winner at Enghien in March, JIZOU D’ETANG (10) would have finished close at Chateaubriant 2 weeks ago had he not faulted, and Damien Bonne will be out for redemption. In fine condition, and 25m better off, JAZZ D’OURVILLE (1) looks dangerous. I STILL LOVING YOU (6) has been showing a certain spirit lately but he is eminently up to the task and Alexandre Abrivard will be minded to keep him focused. Oddly below-par here recently after having imposed over course and distance the previous month, JAPAROV LIRE (11) is nicely-engaged and Mathieu Mottier will be expecting to make amends.

C1 – PRIX MAGUELONNE – 3600m (a2m1/4) – TURF – Claiming – Steeple Chase – EUR € 25,000
- GOOD ORPEN – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 3300m in a Class 3 hurdle at Strasbourg on March 22nd. Others seem better equipped

- LLOYD D’AUTAN – Five placed runs this year, 4th over 3600m in a claiming chase at this track on April 9th. One to pay attention to

- MAX SOURNIAC – Placed 2nd last time out over 4200m in a claiming chase at Mont-De-Marsan on April 12th. Can be opposed
Summary: DIEGO D’ARTOIS (3) seemed to like the drop in class in a claiming chase at Orleans last month after two runs in Listed events before that. He won easily by nine lengths that day and can follow up at the expense of CANONBIE LAD (4), who has been below par in three runs this year, but the drop into claiming class can bring out a better effort. ROMAN SKIES (2) acts over hurdles and fences and can make his rivals work hard for success. LLOYD D’AUTAN (5) makes up the shortlist.

Summary: NOTE DE COEUR (2) ran well to be fourth in a Class 1 hurdle over the track and trip on her sole start early last month and can improve from that outing. She is preferred ahead of NASSIRIA (5), who ran well until falling on her debut over the track and trip in mid-April and can be involved if non the worse. MARIE ROSALIE (6) showed talent on debut over the track and trip on April 2nd and will know more this time. NOUVELLE IDEE (7) needed her run on debut and will strip fitter today.

- ROYAL FLUSH HAS – Finished 5th on the one run over 3000m at this track over hurdles on March 28th. Ought to be in the shake-up
- MASCARET BLEU – Gelding by Buck’s Boum, the dam was placed over jumps. Stable runners tend to need a run or two to reach peak fitness and he is best watched for the time being
- SAINT LAURUS – Unraced gelding by Saint Des Saints, the dam won 3 races. Likely to improve for this run unless the betting market says otherwise
- TRIUNFO – Finished 8th on the one run over 3000m in a hurdle race at this track on March 14th. Needs to improve a good deal to make the frame
Summary: TELEVISION (2) showed a good amount of progress when third over 3000m at this track in a Class 1 hurdle early last month and can get off the mark. His main threat could be the well bred NAKADORI (10), who is a half-brother to the classy Japon, who has won three times and been placed in Graded races over jumps. MAESTRO (6) is another newcomer to pay attention to and should be well prepared by his astute trainer. ANOLANTE (3), is a winner on the flat and ran well on the latest start over hurdles and can be on the premises.

- VIDA ROSA – Ran 7th in a Claimer over 1200m at Fontainebleau on 17 March. Overall form has been poor and looks unlikely to be competitive
- THE BLACK VELVET – A disappointing 9th in a Handicap over 1800m at Salon Provence on 16 April. Is rarely far off the main contenders so could place

Coming in with a light weight ZENATA (8) looks dangerous and needs to be considered. ASTREA (4) does not run a bad race at this course and that makes her a threat.
