    Summary: Game winner of a Listed race last time, RABBIT’S FOOT (5) looks capable of following up in this Group 2 race under Mickael Barzalona. She can edge this over KARLA JET (3), who won nicely in a Listed event at Clairefontaine two weeks ago. INDALIMOS (2) is a previous winner over this track and trip of a Group 3 race and should once again give a good account of herself.

  9. HELLO JO – Unplaced in a Group 2 race at San Siro over 2,200m on 2 June 2026. More needed in what looks like a better race
  10. PROOF – Won in a Listed at Compiegne over 2,000m on 16 July 2026 on his return to the track after a layoff of nine months. He will be sharper for the latest run and has to be respected
    Summary: DARYZAN (1) won with authority on his latest start at Chantilly in a Class 1 race late in June on his third start, and can be expected to score from his main danger MONTREAL (3), who was ahead of him when the met in the Prix Du Jockey Club (Gr.1) at Chantilly in late May when the latter was third, with the former back in seventh. PROOF (5) is another to take seriously after a cosy success at Compiegne last month on his return to the track after an absence of nine months. BAROUD (2) is also worth considering.

    Summary: NAY (9) was a solid second on her latest start over this track and trip in early July in a handicap, when she was beaten by MISTER GEORGE (1). On more favoured terms today she can come out on top. TANQUES (2) was back in fifth in the same race and could be the one that makes the selection work the hardest. MISTER GEORGE (1) has a penalty to deal with but can be expected to give another solid account of himself. MARBELLESA (6) was third in the same race and also has to be respected and can be on the premises under Christophe Soumillon. ROZARION (7) looks best of the rest.

  31. BELLE NOIRE – Finished 6th on the sole start over 1000m at this track on April 7 in a conditions race. She can improve and has place claims
  32. AMNESIA – Solid effort when 2nd on debut over 1200m at Deauville in a conditions race on July 12. She will know more this time and with natural progress she can be involved
  33. SHIBUYA – Finished 8th in a Maiden at Dieppe over 1,100m on 18 July 2026 on her debut. She faces a tough task and looks safely held
  34. FARADAY – Colt by Thunder Moon, the dam won 2 races and was placed in two Group 2 races. Nice profile and from a respected stable. One to pay attention to in the betting for clues
  35. GOLDEN PACO – Colt by Galiway, the dam was placed a few times. Likely to need this run and he does not appeal as a likely first time out winner
  36. ADHARA – Colt by Thunder Moon, the dam was unraced in France. Stable runners are well prepared for their debut and he is worth a market check for clues
  37. MAGNA GRACE – Filly by Magna Grecia, the dam never ran. She is a half-sister to Fighting Irish (Gr.2) winner in France. From a respected trainer that will have this filly well tuned. Bold show can be expected
  38. DEAR AUNT LUCY – Filly on debut by Kodi Bear, the dam was placed once. Stable runners tend to need a run or two to reach fitness and she is best watched for the time being
    Summary: MAGNA GRACE (11) can be expected to be well prepared by her astute trainer for her racecourse bow. She is a half-sister to the classy Fighting Irish (Gr.2) winner and she is given the nod over LE BON TEMPS ROULE (4), who ran with promise when third at Dieppe on her debut in mid-July and can step forward from that experience. FARADAY (8) has a nice profile and is another to watch closely in the betting for clues on his debut. AMNESIA (6) is also worth considering after a pleasing second on debut at this track in early July.

  51. INDIFFERENTE – Good run to be 2nd in the German 1000 Guineas over 1600m on her last start on May 31 at Dusseldorf. Merits consideration
    Summary: NARISSA (2) won a Listed race on her latest start at Deauville on the PSF late in June. She had solid form before that, which includes a fourth in the Poule D’Essai Des Pouliches (Gr.1) in May on her penultimate start. Her main threat could be THE PRETTIEST STAR (12), who can be forgiven for her latest below par run and is best judged on her fourth in the English 1000 Guineas (Gr.1) at Newmarket in May on her penultimate start. FORTUNA DIAMOND (6) has won three of her four runs, and was an excellent second in Germany in a Group 3 race on her latest start and is still improving. HASSALEH (5), who won at this track in a Listed event in July heads the rest.

He is given the nod ahead of DEEP HOPE (2), who has been in good shape with two wins and a recent second at Vichy 12 days ago in a Class 3 event. CREW DRAGON (5) is one to include in all of the place bet permutations, and DASH DIZZY (9) makes up the shortlist.

SBIKHA (2) is a consistent performer and can be expected to give another good account of herself. TERRITOIRE (4) makes up the shortlist.

  1. KING D’AZUR – Modest individual coming to Meslay on the back of 3 straight sanctions and, even though barefoot, can expect to have few takers
  2. JAZZMAN ERDE – Placed twice last month prior to being eliminated in a 2525m amateurs Class H at Molieres 3 weeks ago. Has been reconfigured for the occasion and cannot be ruled out
  3. JASMIN DU ROCHER – Has been a complete write-off since the spring, latterly disqualified in an amateurs Class H on turf last Sunday, and has no possible chance
  4. JISSY DU CAP VERT – Produced a pair of good performances in July but failed to deliver last Monday in a 2850m amateurs Class H at Brehal. Enjoys a front-row start and is worth keeping an eye on
  5. KAFIA DE CERISY – Got back in the game when 3rd in a claimer at Le Sap last weekend. Is not the most reliable of horses but breaks in front and, with form maintained, can finish in the mix
  6. JALENCIA BELLA – Eliminated in a 2950m Dinan claimer early this month, continuing a poor run of form. Has done little of note all season and can be passed over
  7. JOUVENCE D’AMOUR – Imposed at Ecommoy before coming 4th in a Brehal amateurs Class H last Monday. Starts in front here and looks the one to beat
  8. HAMBLETONIAN – Seldom gets his nose in front but has been acquitting himself well of late, lastly 5th in an amateurs Class H on turf a month back. Is not a priority but still has the wherewithal to challenge for a place in the picture
  9. INCOGNITO – Runner-up in a Class G Amateurs’ race at Mauquenchy over 2,850m on 5 August 2026, confirming his Sables-d’Olonne run, and despite the handicap still looks a serious proposition
  10. GALCINOIS – Encouraged at Moulins early last month but failed to confirm when last but one in a 3450m Agon-Coutainville amateurs Class H 8 days ago, and is not a concern
  11. GOLD DE CHOISEL – Has not been seen out since being trounced in an amateurs Class G at Vire last December and can be confidently ignored
  12. KOWEIT DE CHENU – Back in a more suitable category after running 8th in an Avranches Class F on 19 July. Is well-entered on the back line and must be considered a player
    Summary: JOUVENCE D’AMOUR (7), in good form, sporting a new configuration, and well-engaged on the front line, INCOGNITO (9), who is close to his race, and KOWEIT DE CHENU (12), capable of making his mark on his return to this category, can be preferred to HAMBLETONIAN (8) who has been re-shod for the occasion.

  14. JASMINE DE GREZ – Could manage only 8th in a Class F at Le Mans over 2,950m on 25 July, but is clearly better than that and could pleasantly surprise if Jonas Laisis keeps her mind on the game
  15. JOW PIQUENARD – Fourth in a Class F at Chatelaillon over 2,500m on 27 July 2026. Has not put a foot out of line over recent months and will be expected to figure prominently at the business end of the race
  16. IESOLO – Runner-up in a Class E at Pornichet over 3,350m on 30 July, making up for his Lisieux blip. Is plainly at the top of his game and has never disappointed in the day’s configuration. Place chance
  17. JIDEO STREET – Has struggled for the most part this year but held his own in good company at Cabourg recently and cannot be discounted
  18. INCONTOURNABLE – Finished 6th in a Class F at La Gacilly over 3,100m on 9 August, his best result of 2026, and is unlikely to upset the status quo
  19. JURELLA DE PALM – Finished 10th in a Class D at Cabourg over 2,750m on 31 July, after having imposed at Lisieux a fortnight earlier. Has turned a corner in 2026 and can be brought back into the fold. Claim
  20. INDY DE MAI – Sprang a 104-1 surprise when 4th in a Cabourg Class E 8 days ago, however a repeat seems most improbable
  21. JOLIE QUEEN – Debuts at the venue with 4 pads fitted after having failed to deliver at Cabourg 8 days ago. Is clearly better than the result would suggest and must be taken seriously
  22. JOYEUX DU VIVIEN – Finished 10th in a Class D at Royan-La Palmyre over 2,475m on 9 August. Goes well for Vincent Morin though and must be considered a leading contender
    Summary: JURELLA DE PALM (7) has every chance of playing a leading role if she can keep her action together, while JOYEUX DU VIVIEN (10) is ideally-placed at the limit of earnings. JOW PIQUENARD (3) has been knocking at the door lately and IESOLO (4), Matthieu Lebrec’s second string, also looks capable of fighting for the top places.

  26. NEVER D’AVE – Got off the mark at the second time of asking, easily winning a Class F over course and distance late last month, and is eminently capable of confirming
  27. NINA DU BOCAGE – Got back in the game 3 weeks ago when determined runner-up in a Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 24 July. Is not the easiest of horses to gauge but, on good behaviour, can make her presence felt
  28. NINON DE ZIETTE – Finished lacklustre 7th in a Class E at Le Mans over 2,950m on 25 July. Has yet to deliver on a hard surface but is plainly in solid form and the new formula may be just the ticket. Place chance

NOTCH UP (2) has plenty of scope for improvement and is another with leading claims. NARUTO WILLIAMS (5), who has already shown ability, should not be underestimated.     Summary: RAKITO BELLO (4) returned to winning ways in good style at Hyères and looks capable of following up and taking out this lucky last race. MONACO (3) finished second that day but lost the benefit of his effort after an inquiry; if his partner can keep him focused, he is capable of setting the record straight. LIOUBA JAMES (5) can be prone to mistakes but has claims if keeping her action. L’AVENIR (6) is worth close attention on his return to the mounted discipline.
