C1 – PRIX D’ARLES – 2175m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Mounted – EUR € 59,000 |
1. GAROU BEJI – Has been firing on all cylinders this year, latterly 4th of 8 in a 2450m Caen Class E 11 days ago. Alexis Collette reining this time and has a very good hand to play
2. GYPSIE ROYALE – Back under the saddle after finishing 4th of 8 in a 1609m Vichy harness Class D last Saturday. Has previously placed at the venue and is absolutely worth retaining for a minor place cheque
3. EMILIE DES IRIS – Back under the saddle after coming 5th of 14, at 107/1, in a 2100m Vincennes harness Class E 3 weeks ago, but is not going to be bothering the opposition this time
4. GOUNIT DE L’AIROU – Sanctioned, on return to the code, in a 2200m Class E here on 6 September, and frankly looks out of his depth
5. GIBOLE DE L’ELLE – Last of 10 in a 2200m Class E here, on return to competition earlier this month, and can be confidently ignored
6. GRINGO SAVA – Got back in the game in a 2750m Class D at La Capelle on 4 September when 2nd to GALOPIN DE MARTHE (7). In the frame in both starts over 2175m here and looks eminently capable of trotting his way into the frame
7. GALOPIN DE MARTHE – Won without opposition at La Capelle before freshening up in a 2800m harness Class E at Rambouillet mid-month. Has never disappointed under these conditions and is not about to start. Claim
8. GET UP DES PLAINES – Trounced in last 2, most recently last but one in a 2400m Amiens harness Class D 3 weeks ago. Has respectable monté reference but is not about to influence the outcome
9. FASHION MAKER – Has hardly put a foot out of place recently, coming 3rd of 10 in a 2700m Class D here mid-month, and will be no easy touch
10. GENERAL – 6th of 8, behind ELIXIR (13), in a 2950m Le Mans Class E 2.5 weeks ago. Not a priority but can get a look-in if there is a bit of pace
11. GLADIATOR BOY – Honest trotter that finished a beaten 5th to GALOPIN DE MARTHE (7) in a 2750m Class D at La Capelle on 4 September. Unlikely to shake things up but will still have his supporters
12. FUTE BUROIS – Unthreatening 7th of 13 in a 2850m harness claimer here last Tuesday. Has been a write-off all year and will have nothing to offer
13. ELIXIR – Sprang a 19/1 surprise 2.5 weeks ago when 2nd of 8 in a 2950m Le Mans Class E. Races barefoot this time but a repeat seems improbable
14. GLOSSY BOY – Superbly-engaged here after winning a 3100m harness Class E at Nort-sur-Erdre 2 weeks ago. Has never been tested over 2175m here and in current condition is very easy to like
Summary: Highly-consistent over the summer, GALOPIN DE MARTHE (7) was rewarded with victory at La Capelle and, after a harness freshener, returns to a track he appreciates, shod to preference, and looks a better bet than the on-form GAROU BEJI (1) who sports front pads for the occasion. GRINGO SAVA (6) gave a reassuringly-good account behind Pierre-Yves Verva’s charge earlier in the month and with Benjamin Rochard back in the bike, can confirm. Winner in the provinces mid-month, GLOSSY BOY (14) enjoys a golden entry here and Estelle Croisic will be loathe to let the opportunity slip by.

C2 – PRIX DELTA CAFES (PRIX DE CHAUMONT) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class C Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 |
1. KEN FERFAY – 11th of 12, on return to competition mid-month, in a 2550m Reims Class B a fortnight ago. May be a race shy but still looks good enough to challenge for a spot in first 3
2. KISS ME JO DARLING – Has not been seen out since coming 4th of 10 in a 2850m Mauquenchy monté Class E last April. Shoes on and can be passed over
3. KING TEJY – Switches back to his least-favourite discipline after running 7th of 8 in a 2700m monté Class C here 9 days ago, and will have few takers
4. KANEM – 5th over track and trip before finishing 6th, a place behind KILLER BOND (6), in a 2100m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago, and is unlikely to spring a surprise
5. KISS ME – 5th of 11 in a 2850m Parilly Class D 3.5 weeks ago. Boasts good references over 2700m here and, if all goes to plan, can finally get that maiden monkey off his back
6. KILLER BOND – Should not be too hastily-judged for recent 5th of 14 in a 2100m Class D here 2.5 weeks ago. All shoes off this time and has a reasonable chance of opening his Vincennes account
7. KING DE GINAI – Won 4 of last 5, latterly beating KILLER BOND (6) easily, to secure a 2875m Enghien Class D mid-August. Has freshness on his side and makes his Vincennes debut sporting a fresh configuration and with legitimate ambition
8. KAMILLE D’AUTHISE – 12th of 14, on return from her break, earlier in the month, in a 2750m Class B at Les Sables-d’Olonne. Preparing for a monté campaign and has nothing to contribute
9. KISS ME AGAIN – Encountered no opposition en route to victory in a Class D under these conditions, on return to competition, early this month. Returns to the venue with morale intact and is in with a realistic shout of confirming
10. KISS ME DE JEAN – Unable to confirm her Cabourg success when 7th of 9 in a Class B over course and distance 10 days ago, but enjoys a good entry and should not be overlooked
Summary: Easy winner over course and distance earlier in the month, on his first start since June, KISS ME AGAIN (9) receives a Benjamin Rochard drive this time and is eminently capable of repeating. That said, KISS ME (5) is, on the whole, a serious trotter and returns to a track he appreciates with every intention of giving the favourite a run for his money. KILLER BOND (6) did not enjoy the best of trips earlier in the month, but form is not in question, goes barefoot this time, and can play an important role if Antoine Wiels keeps him out of trouble. Solid for the most part over the main track, and barefoot for the occasion, KEN FERFAY (1) will have a lot to contribute if fully-fit.

C3 – PX FIDELIDADE ASSURANCES (PX DE CORREZE) – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D Race – Harness – EUR € 46,000 |
1. GLOBAL DUTY – Smart winner of a 2850m Class E here a week ago. Steps up in category and breaks from the 1-spot but, with Eric Raffin reining, will not go down easily
2. EVERY TIME WINNER – Quality element that held off a serious challenge to win a 2175m Class C here 9 days ago. Appreciates Vincennes and the 4-timer looks a distinct possibility
3. JOPLIN DES CROUAS – Sanctioned in a 2750m Ecommoy Class B 3 weeks ago. Handed a good draw, with a leading driver reining, is proven over the distance and must not be underestimated
4. JERZINO VICI – Not the easiest of horses to handle, but ran an fine 2nd of 8 in a Class D over course and distance 12 days ago and, if still on the boil, can make a big impact
5. JOPH DE VANDEL – Made it 4 sanctions in 5 starts after faulting in a 2750m Ecommoy Class B 3 weeks ago. Has evident talent, sports hind pads, and is well-placed, but others still easier to trust
6. KOZIELLO DE LOU – Turned a corner over the summer, most recently coming 2nd of 8 in a 2850m Class C here late-August. Breaks in front and barefoot again, is unlikely to disappoint
7. JULEJACQ – Moderate type making first appearance since finishing 6th of 8 in a 2875m Enghien Class D on 10 July. Shoes on and no threat
8. JOJO TOONS – Dominated a 2500m Reims Class E 2 weeks ago. Starts wide here but has excellent speed and, confirmed over track and trip, will be no pushover
9. JE T’AIME – 4th of 11 in a 2775m Craon Class D early this month. Boasts a good record over course and distance and, although not ideally-drawn, he goes barefoot and can play an active part
10. DIE HARD (ITY) – Goes barefoot for his first start since finishing 7th of 9 in a 2150m Enghien Class D 2 months ago, however others still preferred
11. EMIRO CLEMAR – Has not been seen out since faulting over 2200m in Syracuse mid-June. Has evident talent but can be expected to spend more time finding his feet
12. DYNAMIC FLIGHT LF – Ran 3rd at Enghien but failed to confirm when sanctioned in a Class D under these conditions late-August. On back line and will have little to contribute
13. ELAND – Returns to France after coming 2nd of 5 over 1600m at San Siro a month ago, but has never delivered at Vincennes and, even with front shoes off this time, is not about to start
14. EGUADOR – Handy Italian colt with an enviable strike-rate, making Vincennes debut after finishing last of 5, behind EVERY TIME WINNER (2), in a a mile event in Milan on 22 August, and will have little to offer
15. ERNESTO ROC – Last of 12, on return to competition, over 2200m in Follonica late last month. Has form at a superior level, sports a fresh configuration, and despite the draw, can still get in on the action
16. DUMA NEH D’ASTI – 10th of 13 in a 2700m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Is proven here but in current form will have no possible chance
Summary: Twice a winner at San Siro before repeating in a Class C here recently, EVERY TIME WINNER (2) has been handed a terrific draw and is going to take all the beating. Leading the opposition is recent Reims winner, JOJO TOONS (8), who won over course and distance last winter, and the perfectly-positioned, and fully-padded, JERZINO VICI (4) who defied his odds here mid-month. JOPLIN DES CROUAS (3) is effective over these shorter trips, when focused, and the engagement of Benjamin Rochard will only work in his favour.

C4 – GRAND PRIX DU PORTUGAL (PRIX GAILLON) – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class B Race – Harness – EUR € 60,000 |
1. JONGLEUSE DE LUNE – Well-earned 3rd of 7 finishers in a 2850m Class A here on 7 September. Boasts a good record over track and trip and should logically finish close
2. JET EXPRESS – 5th of 7, behind JONGLEUSE DE LUNE (1), in a 2850m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Has never been tested over 2700m but is clearly in form and represents a decent place prospect
3. JUNON DU LEARD – A write-off so far this year, latterly last but one in a 2750m Ecommoy Class B 3 weeks ago, and is not easy to recommend
4. IGUANE DE CAPONET – Quickly broke into a gallop, being sanctioned, in a Class D over course and distance 9 days ago. Is quite obviously in form and even though in considerably better company, is still worth monitoring
5. HAWAI RIVER – Has not been seen out since being sanctioned in a 2175m monté Class C here last January. Has other priorities and can be ignored
6. IRINA DE BAILLY – 9th of 10 in a Class D over course and distance 2 weeks ago. Has done nothing noteworthy for some time and can be ruled out
7. JAGUAR MARANCOURT – Quickly sanctioned, on comeback, in a 2850m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Has struggled at Vincennes all year and others easier to back
8. HIGH DREAM – 8th of 14, when being prepared for this, in a 2750m Ecommoy Class E 3 weeks ago. Has never been beaten under these conditions and has a reasonable chance of maintaining his perfect record
9. INDUS VAL – Eye-catching winner of a 2850m Class D here earlier in the month. Pitted against 5 year-olds this time but can still get in on the action
10. ILAYA – Imposed at Le Mont-Saint-Michel 3 weeks ago before losing her action in a 2850m Laval Class D on Thursday, and backs up with a respectable chance of picking up some crumbs
11. JAGUAR GRIFF – Back in shape following a slow spring, most recently 5th of 14 in a 2850m Feurs Class B on 2 September. Reverts to a previous formula, but is possibly being aimed too high this time
12. IPALIO – Useful on a good day but is going to have to improve on his 11th of 13 in a 2700m Class D at La Capelle on 4 September
13. ISTER MAN – Won at Divonne on re-entry before finishing last but one, behind JAGUAR GRIFF (11), in a 2850m Feurs Class B early this month. Has never excelled over 2700m here but, barefoot for the occasion, is hard to ignore
14. JASON – Last but one when being conditioned for this in a Gr.2 over course and distance late-August. Goes over any trip, is head-and-shoulders better than others here, and will be expected to trot off with the silverware
15. IMPALA DE VAL – As sharp in one code as the other these days, latterly winning a 2775m Craon monté Class D, with ease, early this month. Is barefoot for the occasion, excels with Benjamin Rochard, and must be respected
16. INSTINCT D’AM – Failed to confirm his Saint-Malo performance when 7th of 15 in a 2950m Le Mans Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago. Drops back in class and has a reasonable chance of making first 5
Summary: Although yet to get into his stride lately, JASON (14) nevertheless has nothing to prove at this level and, barefoot this time, should be able to wrap this up. HIGH DREAM (8) may not be cut from the same cloth but he is masterful at this level and, with 2 races under his belt, and shod to preference, looks the principal danger. Solid as a rock in his last 2, JONGLEUSE DE LUNE (1) drops back in category with a lot to offer, as does JET EXPRESS (2) who did not finish far off him earlier this month.

1. HERADAMES – 4th to HEDE DARLING (8) at Enghien before finishing 2nd of 13 to HAPPY DANICA (3) in a Class C over course and distance on 21 August, and if still on the boil, can play a dominant role
2. HERAUT D’ARMES – Failed to confirm his Alençon effort when 10th of 15 in a 2500m Craon Class B last Monday. Sports a fresh configuration but others still easier to back
3. HAPPY DANICA – Won a Class C over track and trip before finishing 6th to GOLD DAIRPET (11) in a 2850m Class B here late last month. Is significantly better than that though, and the engagement of Pierre-Yves Verva can help to put things right
4. HEDIC GEMA – Good 6th in a Craon Gr.3 before coming 2nd of 11, despite being denied a run, in a 2850m Class B here a fortnight ago, and looks main threat to HEDE DARLING (8)
5. GRINDELWALD – Not as sharp as she was last winter here but reassured somewhat when 5th behind HEDIC GEMA (4) in a 2850m Class B here mid-month. Not a leading contender but still a decent first-5 prospect
6. GIMY DU POMMEREUX – 9th of 14, behind GRECO BELLO (7), in a 2925m Cagnes Class B, on re-entry, late last month. Goes barefoot this time but may still be one race shy
7. GRECO BELLO – 4th of 14 in a 2925m Cagnes Class B on 24 August. Consistently gives his best, won his only start under these conditions, and will be no easy touch
8. HEDE DARLING – Good 6th of 15 in a 2950m Le Mans Gr.3 2.5 weeks ago. Has nothing to prove in this category, has form over track and trip, and looks the pick of the field
9. HONKY TONK BLUES – 3rd to GOLD DAIRPET (11) over 2850m here late last month, at 60/1, before finishing last but one in a 2850m Class B here mid-month, and has no realistic chance
10. FELIX DU BOURG – Disappointing since winning a brace at Divonne-les-Bains, most recently 9th of 11, behind HEDIC GEMA (4) in a 2850m Class B here mid-month. Has respectable credentials over 2700m but appears to be taking too much on
11. GOLD DAIRPET – 23/1 winner of a 2850m Class B here late-August but disappointing 8th of 11, behind HEDIC GEMA (4), in a 2850m Class B here mid-month, and can be disregarded
Summary: A tough nut to crack at this level of competition, HEDE DARLING (8) drops back in class and, considering how well he comported himself here recently, can make this his own. JMB will still be showing respect to HEDIC GEMA (4) who has been firing on all cylinders recently, and HERADAMES (1) who ran 2nd in a competitive Class C here last month. In cracking form but stepping back up the category-ladder, GRECO BELLO (7) is barefoot for the first time in 15 months and must be considered a player.

1. KEMETCHA DES BAUX – Last of 6 in a 2700m Class D here 10 days ago and, quite simply, runs on a prayer
2. KADANSE DU CORTA – Sanctioned in last 3, latterly when unsupported in race of reference, and is out of her depth here
3. KELVALSE CASTELETS – 8th of 9 in a 2700m Class C here a fortnight ago after twice pleasing across town. In this company though, will struggle to make her mark
4. KAYA DREAM – Produced a remarkable effort to win 2700m Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazières here on 6 September. It was not unexpected in her own camp and, on good behaviour, will be no easy touch
5. KARLA DE MAI – Races barefoot for the occasion after prepping for this, coming last of 10, in a 2825m Chartres harness Class B on 13 September. Will nonetheless need to show another side
6. KALIF LANDIA – Put on a good show to come 2nd to KAYA DREAM (4) in Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazières here earlier in the month. Shoes off for the occasion and, with form maintained, could pleasantly surprise
7. KAPAULA DE L’EPINE – Ran 2nd over course and distance before coming 4th of 6 finishers in race of reference. Barefoot this time and can pick up another cheque
8. KELLY DE BANVILLE – Could have finished in the money behind KAYA DREAM (4) in Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazières here on 6 September had she not faulted. Paul Ploquin knows her well and will be keen to make amends. Attention
9. KYT KAT – 3rd to KAYA DREAM (4) in Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazières here earlier in the month. Already a Gr.2 winner under these conditions and, in current form, may just be the horse to beat
10. KYRIELLE DES VAUX – Gr.1-winning filly that finished a lacklustre 5th of 6, on re-entry, in 2700m Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazières here earlier in the month. Will have come on for the race though and has every chance of imposing
Summary: A veritable steamroller in 2023, KYT KAT (9) returns to his distance of choice after having reassured in the Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazières here earlier in the month, and can have his way this time. Winner on that occasion, at 20/1, KAYA DREAM (4) should again have a good hand to play, but she will first have to defer to Gr.1 winner, KYRIELLE DES VAUX (10), who will be expected to improve on her 5th that day. Tenacious runner-up when shod, KALIF LANDIA (6) races first-time barefoot and a place on the podium is well within his reach.

1. GADSEM – Failed to confirm his Pornichet victory when 7th, a place behind GAMINE DE RIBEAU (6), in a 2700m Class E here on 30 August. Has had time to get his house in order and will be competitive for a spot in first 5
2. GIGA DES PLAINES – Never-dangerous 6th of 10 in a 2100m Class D here last Sunday, and will not be influencing the outcome this time either
3. GRANDE SOIREE – Followed up 4 straight sanctions with 10th of 11 in a 2500m Reims Class E on 15 September, and has no possible chance
4. MISTER DONALD – 3rd of 11 in a 2500m Reims Class E a fortnight ago but less-effective at Vincennes 2 weeks earlier and others easier to support
5. GLAMOIRE – Made up for Cabourg sanction when 3rd of 13 in a 2850m Laval Class E on 6 September. Barefoot this time, will not be available at 100/1, but is unlikely to be as competitive either
6. GAMINE DE RIBEAU – Won 2 of last 3, most recently a 2100m Class E here 3 weeks ago. Takes on a tougher bunch this time but can still get a look-in
7. GAROU DU CHENE – Pleasant here late last month but last of 11 in a 2700m Class D here 9 days ago and is not about to cause an upset
8. GAGNEUR – 8th of 13 in a 2100m Class D here on 13 September. Has been off the boil this summer and must first re-establish his credentials
9. GETEHI DU NOYER – 4th to ASTRONASCENTE ZAC (12) here late-August before coming 3rd to GALANT DE BRUYERE (10) in a 2400m Amiens Class D 3 weeks ago. Unshod-all-4 this time and is unlikely to be going home empty-handed
10. GALANT DE BRUYERE – Has been firing on all cylinders in 2024, most recently dominating a 2400m Amiens Class D 3 weeks ago, and is not without a claim on the main prize
11. GO GO GIGI – Sanctioned, on return to competition, in a 2100m Class D here mid-month and has nothing to offer
12. ASTRONASCENTE ZAC – Won a valuable race at Waregem before running 2nd of 15 in a 2100m Class E here late last month. Races barefoot for the occasion, with Eric Raffin reining, and must be taken more seriously this time around
13. GRANIT DU FRESNE – 9th of 14, behind GALION (16), in a 2650m Laval Class D on 25 August. Is barefoot with Jean-Michel Bazire reining this time, and despite recent numbers, can play an active role
14. GUI D’ERABLE – Sanctioned in last 3, most recently a Class D over course and distance earlier this month, and will have few friends
15. GUCCI DE BARB – Left a good impression at Mauquenchy before finishing 3rd, a place behind GUCCI DE BARB (15), in a 2650m Laval Class D on 25 August. Is very close to his race and represents main danger to GUCCI DE BARB (15)
16. GALION – Winner of a 2150m Class E at Enghien before running 2nd of 2650m Laval Class D late last month. Seldom seen at Vincennes but is confirmed here and can add another win to his tally
Summary: Terrific in 4 of his last 5 starts, and ideally-engaged at the limit of earnings, GALION (16) has never come closer than 4th under these conditions but in present shape, can bring home the bacon. Esteban De Jesus can still expect to meet resistance from GUCCI DE BARB (15) who finished a place behind him at Laval last time out, and the dependably-performant GALANT DE BRUYERE (10) who trounced the opposition at Amiens recently. GRANIT DU FRESNE (13) returns to racing barefoot and even though yet to deliver for JMB, his presence in the bike is telling.

1. LAGNU MAG – 3rd of 8 in a 2825m Parilly Class B last Sunday. Shoes on this time however and best to hold off
2. LUMINOSITY – 5th of 11, despite stride woes, in Gr.2 Prix Annick Dreux over course and distance late last month, before suffering interference, coming last but one in Critérium des 3 ans. With a trouble-free run though will be no pushover
3. LAPIS LAZULI – Won over track and trip before finishing 8th of 12 in Gr.1 Critérium des 3 ans mid-month. Shoes back on and has the class to throw a spanner in the works here. Chance
4. LEONARDO ROC – Unraced since finishing 7th of 11, behind LUNA NOVA GWEN (7), in a 2150m Enghien Gr.3 early-July. Is clearly in competition-mode and is not incapable of opening his autumn account
5. LEARN TO FLY – Sanctioned in a monté Gr.2 over course and distance on 13 September. Sports 4 pads for first time but others still preferred
6. LYZIA DES AGETS – Starts for the first time since faulting in a monté Gr.1 over course and distance late-June. Has other priorities and can be passed over
7. LUNA NOVA GWEN – Sanctioned early in a Gr.2 over course and distance late last month, but nevertheless showed her form and with stride in check can impose
8. LONDON – 2nd in a Gr.2 here before losing her action in Prix Annick Dreux late-August. Has merit but is never far from faulting and a minor place chance at best
9. LITTLE BROWN – Tricky character that faulted in a Gr.1 under these conditions a fortnight ago. Should not be hastily-judged, and can play a leading role if David Thomain keeps him focused
10. LUCKY SIBEY – Races shod for the occasion after trotting 5th of 7 in a monté Gr.2 under these conditions on 13 September, and will have nothing to offer
Summary: Quickly sanctioned in the Gr.2 Prix Annick Dreux, Philippe Allaire’s talented but complicated LUNA NOVA GWEN (7) drops back in class, is confirmed at Vincennes [not over 2700m though], and can win this if Yoann Lebourgeois manages to keep her trotting from one end of the race to the other. There will be considerable opposition though from the likes of stablemate LITTLE BROWN (9) who is arguably better over 2175m, but classy nevertheless, and the returning LEONARDO ROC (4) who sports front pads for his first objective of the autumn. Class A course-and-distance winner earlier this month, LAPIS LAZULI (3) returns to racing shod and has a realistic chance of securing his first black-type event.

1. JUSTICE DE JOUDES – Ran 2nd to DADA DEL RONCO (2) at Enghien before trotting 5th of 15 over track and trip 10 days ago. Keeps her shoes on but is still capable of fighting out the finish
2. DADA DEL RONCO – Got back in the winners’ circle at Enghien on 11 August after comfortably securing a 2150m Enghien Class D here. Has yet to produce the goods at Vincennes but can do so if she replicates her last performance
3. NIAGARA RIVER – Has hardly put a foot wrong all year, latterly 3rd of 4 in 2600m Wolvega 4yo Derby on Thursday. Has respectable Vincennes references, is barefoot for the occasion, breaks from the 3-spot, and must be respected
4. KASH LADY – Has not been seen out since finishing 8th of 10 in a 2700m Gr.2 here in June. Competitively-shod with Eric Raffin in the bike and, from the 4-spot, will have her chances
5. KATE MESLOISE – Raced better in a 2700m Class B here 10 days ago than her 5th place would suggest. Takes on the mares this time but still has a realistic chance of finishing on the podium
6. DESTINY DI POGGIO – 6th of 7, on re-entry, in a 2850m Class A here 3 weeks ago. Has won 3 of 4 under harness for her new trainer and has a decent chance of extending that percentage
7. EVA KANT GIO – Capable on a good day but finished last of 15 in a 2150m Enghien Class C on 10 July. Is barefoot for return and should not be entirely ruled out
8. JURELLA – Last of 7, on return from a break, in a 2700m Class C here late last month. Is still in conditioning-mode though and can be passed over
9. KANDIE D’ORCO – Secured first goal of the season, winning a 2600m Cavaillon Class C, in good order, 9 days ago. Has a lot less going for her here and cannot be considered a priority
10. DAYTONA DI CECCO – Unremarkable 7th of 14, a place behind MISS JAJA (15), in a Class D over course and distance late-August. Is not devoid of speed and can play a small part if Franck Nivard successfully navigates the start
11. ERICA JET – 5th of 10 in a 2150m Argentan Class D on 10 August. Won here earlier in the year but against older horses, will have too much to do
12. EMILY LP – Erratic filly but can trot. Starts for first time since finishing last of 8 over 2100m in Naples on 20 July. Competitively-shod for the occasion but others still easier to back
13. RAGAZZA DU CHENE – Won at Mons last month before coming 3rd of 11 in a valuable event over 2300m at the same venue last Saturday. Handed a tough draw though and chances limited
14. EMY STECCA – Somewhat reassuring 6th of 8 in a 2175m Class C here on 20 September, but still has more to find
15. MISS JAJA – Disappointing since winning at Enghien 2 months ago, most recently 6th of 14 in a Class D over course and distance late last month, and is unlikely to ruffle any feathers
Summary: It may have taken DADA DEL RONCO (2) some time to open her French account, but she did in in style across town early last month and, better-drawn on this occasion, can double her money. JUSTICE DE JOUDES (1) stays shod after a respectable effort here 10 days ago and looks a more serious proposition this time. A quality Italian mare, DESTINY DI POGGIO (6) has a run under her belt, goes unshod-behind, and poses a considerable threat. Twice a winner here over the summer, KATE MESLOISE (5) drops back in category and is thoroughly capable of making the frame this time.

2. CASH COLLECTOR – Ran a huge race last time when finishing 3rd over 2000m at Saint-Cloud and can win. Big chance
3. GARDEN CHOP – Long time maiden, placed only 17th last time when at Fontainebleau over 2200m in a Handicap. Pass by
4. PEPITO DES CARLES – Hard to make a case for based on two very average performances and would therefore be a shock winner. Unlikely. No
5. BATAVIUS – Shone on debut when 3rd but thereafter has not excelled. Will need to progress on latest 6th finish at La-Roche-Posay to threaten here. No
6. EL TIGRE – Huge improver, placed 4th at the second time of asking and can be expected to give plenty more today. Strong claims
7. LE NOTRE – Good chance, won on debut, followed up with a faithful 5th at Clairefontaine on the 24th of August. Go close
8. OURO PRETO – Finished 5th over 2000m at Lyon Parilly on the 4th of September and based on that, will have strong each way claims
9. QUEENFLEUR – Is testing our patience for the win, only managed 10th over 2000m last time and more required for the win. Outside place chance

11. KATNISS – Has only managed two 9th placings over 2400m and will need huge progression to win this. Others preferred and can be ignored
Summary: OURO PRETO (8) is lightly tried and still to secure the maiden victory. His last run when 5th at Lyon Parilly was fair enough to give him and each way chance. CASH COLLECTOR (2) ran a good race last time when finishing 3rd and should not be a maiden for too much longer. Strong chance. EL TIGRE (6) showed tremendous improvement at the second time of asking and surely has more to give. Respect and include in all bets. LE NOTRE (7) has a first four chance.

8. ROYAL MONARCH – Won four races back but has been seriously on the decline since then. Hard to assess of late and can be ignored

11. IANOVKA – Taking time to win again, only managed a dismal 13th at Chantilly last time and would be a shock winner. Pass by
12. SALSA DU DEMON – She was a winner of her penultimate start over 2500m at Evreux in a Handicap but in May. Last run not exciting. Can improve
Summary: NO CURE NO PAY (2) brings consistent and hot form into the race and might prove difficult to oppose. His last run was attractive when 2nd over 1800m in Handicap class. Strong first suggestion. MEHGAWAY (7) is a two time winning filly that can serve up way more than she did last time. Strong claims. SAN TEODORICO (6) can be forgiven for the bad last run and judged on penultimate win. Strong place chance. MANDOKI (10) has shown enough to warrant being considered for the first four.

11. LE HOULME – Finished 10th over 2000m in a Handicap at Strasbourg earlier this month and can be forgiven for that. Place
12. RUE DE VOLGA – Was only 11th at Croise-Laroche in a weak claimer and is hard to fancy. Pass by
Summary: BRAMANTE (6) is a tad erratic but if his recent trends are anything to go by, he is due up for a winning run. He was last seen at Clairefontaine when 5th over 2400m. LOVELY MISS (10) is certainly that, as she is in good winning form and if she were to follow up, it would be absolutely no shock at all. Big runner. 11. GRAND YAKA – Has five unplaced runs of late, the latter over 2200m at Dieppe in a Class 4 handicap on August 5th. Makes limited appeal
Summary: PRINCEDESCHAMPS (1) ran a good race last time when he was third 10 days ago at Le Croise-Laroche and can get back in the winner’s enclosure this time. MAGURO (2) has been fourth on his last two runs and could be the one that makes the selection work hard for the win. ARAMIS D’AZUR (4) is one for the each-way backers to latch on to after an encouraging run at Strasbourg recently. WALDENON (7) makes up the shortlist.

6. IRMINA – Has five unplaced runs over hurdles of late, the latter over 3800m at Vittel in a Class 2 race on July 25th. Hard to fancy
Summary: ALMACADO GREE (1) is seeking a hat trick of wins after recent success at Royan in mid-August. His confidence will be high and he can score from PONTY (2) who was an excellent fourth in a Listed race at Vichy two runs ago and was not quite up to Group 3 Class when he ran at Parislongchamp earlier this month. LOUVAGNY (4) will be a lot sharper for a recent run in mid-August and is also one to consider.

Summary: The Henri-Alex Pantall trained filly EXQUISEMENT (1) should have a lot more improvement in her. She makes her handicap debut after a third-placed effort at Nantes in a maiden 19 days ago. DEVIL’SPEAK (4) was beaten narrowly at Dieppe when second last time in early August and is sure to give a good account of himself. SOVER FAL (6) got off the mark at Redon last time over much further and can feature if coping with the drop in trip. WALDLADY (9) is also worth a mention.

Summary: HERMEVILLE (5) ran a much better race last time when she was third at Dieppe and is capable of winning a race of this nature. Her likely main rival looks like it could be STILYKER (3) who won earlier in the year at Niort in June and ran a pleasing race last time when he was second at Landivisiau in mid-September. KING MOTIF (1) ran a credible race at Moulins when fifth last time and looks the best of the remainder.

7. OASINA – Fair 4th over 1400m in a handicap at Le Lion D’Angers on July 11th when last racing. One to keep safe
Summary: Top-rated GILDED DRAGON (3) can get back to form despite a few below-par efforts of late. He was a good third at Chantilly in late March in a handicap. OASINA (7) looks like the main danger.
