R1 VINCENNES [L-H]

C1 – PRIX DE CHATEAU-GONTIER – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 41,000

  1. JERONIMO DU CAUX – Rather disappointing at Vincennes this winter. Returns to racing barefoot but still not a concern
  2. JEUDI DES RACQUES – Has just the one race in him since the yuletide break. Runs barefoot this time but at this level will have nothing to offer
  3. JAZZ D’OURVILLE – Has made slow progress since returning to competition last month, and is not about to create an upset
  4. JOFESCA BUISSONAY – Went close in 3 before being eliminated at Argentan. Has never got around Vincennes unscathed and offers a poor record going left-handed in general
  5. JUEN EMONDEVILLE – Not the most reliable but has bags of ability. Is competitively-shod after a Nantes freshener and, on good behaviour, can pick up some prizemoney
  6. JAZZMAN – Regularly in the thick of things and has shown a liking for Vincennes. Flew up last time here and is easy to fancy for a repeat
  7. JEANNOT BUISSONAY – Beaten only by a very good horse in a 2175m Class E here 3.5 weeks ago. Has been knocking at the door and, while unlikely to win this, can nevertheless get in on the action
  8. JARDYLAND – Has not got his nose in front for 13 months but ran close 4th behind JEANNOT BUISSONAY (7) in a 2175m Class E here on 18 January, and is unlikely to be too far off the mark
  9. JUMBY BAY – Unlucky 4th in a 2175m Class E here on 30 December but put in a fine performance nevertheless and, with application, is unlikely to let the side down
  10. JIMBO SPORT – Excellent servant returning to the capital after holding his own in a competitive Mauquenchy Class F 3 weeks ago, but is being aimed too high this time
  11. JAIFA DE L’ITON – Given a rest after winning unopposed here on 17 December. Faces the boys this time but has freshness on her side and is shod for business. Chance
  12. JOPLIN DES CROUAS – Gave a good account of himself in a Chateaubriant Class F 3 weeks ago but has done nothing of note at Vincennes this winter and will have few friends
  13. ITALICA – Left a good impression at Angers 2 weeks ago, on return to competition, but in this company can expect to find the going tough
  14. JACADI BROUETS – Reassuring 3rd in a Nantes Class D a month ago, but will need to be at his best this time around
  15. JEFF DE MONPAZ – Imposed at Bordeaux in early-January only to be subsequently disqualified, but made amends in Toulouse on 22 January and, freshly-reconfigured, can confirm
  16. JAWAX DE KERYANN – Returns to the professional ranks after winning 2 straight amateur contests here. Benoît Robin could not have hoped for a better entry though and will be determined to make hay
Summary: A good, consistent sort that gave a fine account when being conditioned at Nantes recently, JAZZMAN (6) races barefoot as he was when imposing here in the autumn and has a realistic chance of repeating. Facile winner in Toulouse 3 weeks ago, JEFF DE MONPAZ (15) is competitively-shod this time and benefits from a terrific entry. A mare with a fine strike-rate, JAIFA DE L’ITON (11) may not have been seen out since flying up here in mid-December, but is still very hard to ignore. JUMBY BAY (9) reassured here in late-December and will not be far from the action if Mathieu Mottier keeps her focused. In the frame in 3 of his last 4 starts, JEANNOT BUISSONAY (7) will not be going home empty-handed.
    SELECTIONS
    JAZZMAN (6) – JEFF DE MONPAZ (15) – JAIFA DE L’ITON (11) – JUMBY BAY (9)
    C2 – PRIX DE RUGLES – 2200m (a1m1/2) – Class D – Mounted – EUR € 33,000
  17. NAVY D’EURVAD – Qualified in 1’19’7 under harness at Grosbois 3 weeks ago and can expect to have few takers
  18. NUEVA DE VANDEL – Untried filly that qualified in 1’17’6 at Caen last October, but faces a good lot first time out and is unlikely to influence the outcome
  19. NOBLESSE DE BLARY – Runner-up to NORMANDIA (7) in a Cherbourg Class F 10 days ago. Is unlikely to turn the tables but should still be good enough to make the frame once more
  20. NATURE DU CHENE – 4th of 6 finishers, on career bow last week, in a 2700m Class C here. Is unlikely to cause an upset but still appears capable of making first 5
  21. NESSICA PLANCHETTE – Returns to the inner course after finishing last of 6 finishers behind NATURE DU CHENE (4) in a 2700m Class C here last week, but still has no realistic chance
  22. NEVITA LOVE JO – Switches code after producing a pair of honourable runs under harness in the provinces. Faces a completely different challenge this time, but will be sporting pads and can get a look in
  23. NORMANDIA – Steps up in category after comfortably imposing on debut at Cherbourg on 1 February. Champion jockey in the irons this time and will be well-backed to stay unbeaten
  24. NYX DE VAL – Won by a country mile on debut, securing a 2875m Argentan Class F on 17 January. Looks the sort that can do well under the saddle and David Bonne gets the nod
  25. NATURE DU GOUTIER – Made good progress on 2nd monte outing, running 3rd in a Class D under these conditions in late-December. Is clearly on the right trajectory and, with front pads fitted for the first time, merits respect
  26. NOSTALGIE DAIRPET – Lost her action under similar conditions on 19 January. Is undeniably useful though and, if applied, can contest a place in the picture this time
Summary: Comfortable winner on her debut at Cherbourg 10 days ago, NORMANDIA (7) faces a stiffer test here but she will be partnered by Mathieu Mottier and should have the wherewithal to double her money. NYX DE VAL (8) similarly did everything right at the first time of asking and, even under the saddle this time, looks the main threat. Runner-up at Cherbourg, NOBLESSE DE BLARY (3) will have her chances if she stays in stride, and a similar caveat applies to NOSTALGIE DAIRPET (10).
    SELECTIONS
    NORMANDIA (7) – NYX DE VAL (8) – NOBLESSE DE BLARY (3) – NOSTALGIE DAIRPET (10)
    C3 – PRIX DE GUISE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class R Claiming – Harness – EUR € 18,000
  27. KNOWLEDGE DE JEMA – Useful trotter making first appearance since September, but will be barefoot, reined by Benjamin Rochard for the occasion, and cannot be discounted
  28. KUNZITE D’EM – Not the easiest of horses to use but is better than most here. Benefits from a good draw and, with application, will be no shrinking violet
  29. KELLY DE CERISY – Capable mare but came off the boil this winter. Is back at a more reasonable level but still cannot be considered a priority
  30. KYRIELLE D’ALBRET – Takes a dip in category after reassuring in a Saint-Galmier Class E on 24 January. Benefits from a terrific engagement and Louis Goetz will be eager to capitalise on the opportunity
  31. KAJOU JOSSELYN – Drops back in category after failing to deliver at Mauquenchy a week ago. Has already raced and placed at this level here and is capable of doing so again
  32. KERGOMAR SIBEY – Had made first 5 just once in 6 claiming starts here this winter and even with David Thomain in the bike is not about to spring any surprises
  33. KROSS FINGERS – Eliminated in all 5 claiming starts to date. Front shoes off this time and is unlikely to disappoint if Esteban De Jesus keeps him focused
  34. KHEOPS SAINT CLAIR – Takes a dip in category after running 5th in a Class E at Maure-de-Bretagne on 2 February. Is confirmed at this level and Alexis Collette can be confident of a big performance
  35. KAJAGOOGOO – Runner-up twice here before losing all chance at the start in late-December. Has had time to recalibrate, and even though handed a tough number, will be barefoot and dangerous. Chance
  36. KALOU DE LODEON – Reassuring in Mons a fortnight ago but flopped on sole claiming appearance and is not about to set off any fireworks
  37. KING DE LA COTE – Unexceptional trotter that finished last but one in a similar event here last week and the draw only compounds matters
  38. KALLAGAN – Last of 13 in a 2100m claimer over the main course 2 weeks ago. Front shoes off but still not a concern
  39. KADOR DE VILLABON – Comes to Paris after running 6th in a 2725m claimer at Lyon-La Soie 2.5 weeks ago but has little going for him here
  40. KORRIGAN SIBEY – Makes first appearance since being eliminated at Angers in early-December. Has pulled an unfavourable number and can be ruled out
Summary: KHEOPS SAINT CLAIR (8) gave an encouraging performance at Maure-de-Bretagne earlier this month at a superior level, won his only race over the short course here, and despite the wide draw can win this. KAJAGOOGOO (9) is not ideally-placed either but he has placed in 2 of his last 3 and will be barefoot this time. Better-positioned behind the car, KYRIELLE D’ALBRET (4) reassured at Saint-Galmier and makes her claiming debut with a good hand to play. KUNZITE D’EM (2) is confirmed at a superior level and, barefoot for her first objective of the new year, will not be far off the mark if she keeps trotting.
    SELECTIONS
    KHEOPS SAINT CLAIR (8) – KAJAGOOGOO (9) – KYRIELLE D’ALBRET (4) – KUNZITE D’EM (2)
    C4 – PRIX DE VIBRAYE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 33,000
  41. NEVADA PIERJI – Made short work of his career bow, winning a Chateaubriant Class F by far, on 18 January. Benjamin Rochard in the bike this time and the new formula may be just the ticket. Chance
  42. NEED YOU MESLOIS – Has yet to demonstrate any particular flair for the discipline and can be passed over
  43. NICOU CHAK – Back over the main track after being eliminated in a 2200m Class C here on 29 January. Is not without merit but others still preferred
  44. NOUGAYORQUE – Authoritative winner of an Amiens Class F on 26 November before faulting early in a 2700m Class D here on 31 December. Comes here fresh and, with application, can figure prominently
  45. N’OUBLIE JAMAIS – Imposed on debut last August, then finished 10th of 12 in a 2850m Class D here on 10 November. Has not raced since but cannot be ruled out
  46. NEO – Easy winner first time out prior to failing to deliver in a 2575m Saint-Brieuc Class E on 23 January. Yoann Lebourgeois reins for the first time and will be determined to set the record straight
  47. NORTHERN WAY – Showed his form on re-entry at Saint-Brieuc on 23 January despite having been eliminated. Is plainly an interesting future prospect and with application can bring home the bacon
  48. NAKALOUN – Ran 2nd at Argentan before coming surprise 3rd in a 2200m Class C here a fortnight ago. Has no main-track references but is unlikely to be far from the action if he takes to the new profile
Summary: Put away after winning his debut at Saint-Malo last August, NORTHERN WAY (7) was eliminated on comeback last month but gave a good account all the same. He sports front pads for the first time and is marginally preferred to stablemate NEO (6) whose performance that day cannot be taken at face value. NEVADA PIERJI (1) confirmed his good qualification when outclassing the opposition on debut at Chateaubriant 3.5 weeks ago, and with 4 pads fitted will be no soft touch.
    SELECTIONS
    NORTHERN WAY (7) – NEO (6) – NEVADA PIERJI (1) – NOUGAYORQUE (4)
    C5 – PRIX DE DUN-SUR-AURON – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class F – Harness – EUR € 36,000
  49. KATE DU RIL – Capable sort but has just the one run under her belt since the lengthy layoff and can be confidently ruled out
  50. KILANTA PASMARICK – Disappointing in 2 at a lower level since coming to Vincennes, and is not about to spice things up
  51. KITA DU RIB – Modest individual making first appearance since last September and will have few, if any, friends
  52. KARMINA DU BREUCQ – Starts for the first time since placing at Mauquenchy in late-November, but could pick up a cheque if she runs to the same value
  53. KISS ME TO LIVE – Did everything right on barefoot debut, convincingly securing a Mauquenchy Class F 2.5 weeks ago, and looks thoroughly capable of confirming
  54. KANELLE – Can trot, and is confirmed under these conditions. Is in race-mode this time but may be taking on too much
  55. KINA FOUTEAU – Has hardly put a foot out of line since last summer. Ran 3rd, a place behind KARA DU BELLAY (8), in a 3000m Nantes Class E on 12 January and, even with ground to make up, can nevertheless put in another good effort. First 5
  56. KARA DU BELLAY – Is new to Vincennes but is currently firing on all cylinders, has demonstrated good versatility, and will be well-backed to win this
  57. KENTIA HAUFOR – Well-beaten in 2 starts here this winter and looks to be out of her league once more
  58. KYUSHU – Starts for the first time since dominating a Cabourg Class F on 22 December. Pleased on sole Vincennes appearance and, barefoot again, must not be underestimated
  59. KAROLINE CADE – No slouch on a good day and sports front pads for the occasion, but in current condition is not easy to recommend
  60. KIYOHA DE NAPPES – Consistently-performant mare that left a fine impression on re-entry at Saint-Galmier on 24 January. David Thomain in the bike for Vincennes bow and must be taken seriously
  61. KALI DES LANDIERS – Pleasantly-surprising 4th in a Graignes Class F on comeback early this month. Races barefoot this time but has yet to show a liking for Vincennes and others preferred
  62. KEATANA DU METZ – Put a pair of eliminations behind her to comfortably win a Saint-Galmier Class F 10 days ago. Has never excelled under harness at Vincennes but the engagement of Yoann Lebourgeois will do her chances no harm
  63. KADIX DEL PHEDO – Nicely-engaged here, and entrusted to Benjamin Rochard. Is not a priority but is worth monitoring all the same
  64. KIARA DES BORDES – Runner-up on all 3 starts for Christophe Henry. Has yet to deliver over 2700m here but is in safe hands and looks competitively well in
Summary: Just denied the hat-trick at Nantes despite a superb defence, KARA DU BELLAY (8) is in sufficiently good form to make her Vincennes bow a winning one. She’s unlikely to have it all her own way though considering how well KISS ME TO LIVE (5) imposed late last month at Mauquenchy. Well-engaged here and excelling since being bought out of a claimer here in October, KIARA DES BORDES (16) will be reunited with Matthieu Abrivard and must be considered a contender. Yet to disappoint when barefoot, KYUSHU (10) was a most convincing winner at Cabourg last time out, and if still on the boil will be no pushover.
    SELECTIONS
KARA DU BELLAY (8) – KISS ME TO LIVE (5) – KIARA DES BORDES (16) – KYUSHU (10)
    C6 – PRIX DE POLIGNY – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E Amateur Riders – Mounted – EUR € 37,000
  65. ROCKY OASIS – 5th to KOPRIORO (8) in a Class E over course and distance 11 days ago. Is barefoot again and will not be available at 102-1 this time
  66. KARTING BOY – Form has been regressing since late 2025. Has failed to get his nose in front for over 2 years and is not about to start now
  67. KID DES PLEIGNES – Ran flattering 6th of 17 behind KOPRIORO (8) in 31 January race of reference and will need to find more
  68. ORLANDO VIVA – Excellent servant under harness at home in Sweden but has failed to make her mark in either code since coming south, and will have nothing to contribute
  69. KING OF RACE – Has done nothing noteworthy in 3 starts since placing over 2175m here on Christmas Day and can be passed over
  70. KEOPS DE CASTELLE – Sent for a break last autumn after showing a different side. Has a race under his belt and competitively-shod this time should figure more prominently this time
  71. KARINE DU DOLLAR – No slouch on a good day and is confirmed over 2700m here, but will need to show more than she did at Saint-Brieuc early this month
  72. KOPRIORO – Won twice in the provinces before coming 2nd in a Class E over course and distance on 31 January. In less-elevated company this time and should be able to wrap this up
  73. KENJI D’AUBERVILLE – Sprang a 32-1 surprise when easily winning a Class F over 2175m here on 25 December. Comes here fresh and can challenge for the win if still on the boil
  74. KANDISSIME – Never far from faulting but is not devoid of talent. Has just the one race in him since the lengthy hiatus but is patently in competition-mode and with application, can play a leading role
  75. KRISTAL DE JANZE – Blows hot and cold but tends to go well when barefoot. Enjoys an excellent entry and, although not a contender, can still get in on the action
Summary: Revitalised since early-December, KOPRIORO (8) beat a number of these under similar conditions late last month and looks the winner-in-waiting this time. Sacha Jaulneau-Sarrat will still want to be wary of KENJI D’AUBERVILLE (9) who encountered no opposition over shorter here on Christmas Day, and the talented but delicate KANDISSIME (10) who will be barefoot following her layoff. Shod to preference after a good return run at Mauquenchy, KEOPS DE CASTELLE (6) will have come on for the race and should prove competitive for a place on the podium.
    SELECTIONS
    KOPRIORO (8) – KENJI D’AUBERVILLE (9) – KANDISSIME (10) – KEOPS DE CASTELLE (6)
    C7 – PRIX DU MESLE – 2700m (a1m1/2) – Class E – Harness – EUR € 35,000
  76. LISBETH DRY – Serious mare that was most unlucky here late last month. Gets a 2nd crack at this and can make a big splash if afforded a run. Chance
  77. LADY BOSSE – Returns to racing unshod-behind after being eliminated in a 2175m Class E here on 31 January, but others still easier to trust
  78. FONTE CHIARA PAR – Eliminated, on first start since the break, in a Class D over course and distance on Christmas Day. Drops in category and can pick up some prizemoney if she keeps trotting
  79. KATTEJAMMER CASH – Capable Danish mare making French debut after 3 solid performances in Belgium. Sports a fresh configuration and, although untried beyond 2300m, still looks good enough to make first 5
  80. LIBERTY JIEL – Very good 3rd in a Class E over course and distance on 20 January, but failed to confirm 11 days later in a 2175m Class E. 4 pads fitted this time however and, with application, can finish close
  81. LOUISIANE PARIS – Won a Class F at Argentan before being eliminated in a 2175m Class E here late last month. Robin Lamy keeps the faith but others still preferred
  82. PURE DESIRE – Disappointing on Vincennes debut late last month, finishing last of 14 under similar conditions. Benjamin Rochard reining this time but still not an obvious choice
  83. SHE’S A WINNER – Missed all chance at the start of a Class E over track and trip on 29 January. Has talent in spades though and can make this her own if she gets off on the right foot
  84. LOLLY STAR – Left a fine impression when 2nd in a 2175m Class E here on 6 January, and a similar performance would see her competitive at the business end of the race. Place prospect
  85. LEXOVIENNE – Better than most here but is still being conditioned and best to keep one’s powder dry
Summary: A fine campaigner in Belgium and The Netherlands, SHE’S A WINNER (8) lost her action early on her Vincennes bow 2 weeks ago, but can impose if she gets off on the right foot this time. LISBETH DRY (1) endured a shocking run here that day and will be dangerous if kept out of harm’s way. Franck Nivard takes over in the bike after LOLLY STAR (9) ran a good 2nd over shorter here early last month and, in similar shape, she can again make the frame. LIBERTY JIEL (5) may not be the easiest of horses to trust but she reverts to racing with pads and will no be easy touch if she keeps trotting.
    SELECTIONS
    SHE’S A WINNER (8) – LISBETH DRY (1) – LOLLY STAR (9) – LIBERTY JIEL (5)
    C8 – PRIX DE LA GENEVRAYE – 2100m (a1m1/4) – Class D – Harness – EUR € 40,000
  86. MELKIOR DE BAILLY – Unplaced in last 2, latterly 8th of 9 finishers, a place behind MAJIRO KALOUMA (8), in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Has little margin for error here but still cannot be ruled out
  87. MAXIMILIANO DE LOU – Has yet to excel here but has bags of potential. Will have been specifically prepared for this and will be expected to get straight back in the game. Place chance
  88. MAGNUS TOR – Eliminated as often as not but left a good impression here on 31 January despite losing his action. Is plainly in fine shape and with stride in check can set the record straight. Claim
  89. MATADOR – Serious future prospect but has not been seen out since last May and will not be given a hard race
  90. MADE IN LOVE PASS – Good dual-discipline element starting for first time since September and should logically be race-rusty
  91. MARCHAND DE REVE – Tricky colt still on the quest for a first success. Races barefoot, with Mathieu Mottier reining, and should not be underestimated
  92. MONTANA MONNERIE – Picked up this winter where he left off in the autumn. Showed his form here early last month and makes his main-track bow a leading contender
  93. MAJIRO KALOUMA – Unable to confirm late-December performance when 7th of 9 finishers in a 2700m Class D here 3 weeks ago. Returns to racing shod but is still no more than a minor place chance
  94. MUST DREAM – Takes on a less-elevated lot than he met here a month ago. The draw may even be an advantage in this small field and, on good behaviour, can make a big splash
  95. MILO JO – Was still going strong when eliminated in a Class E over the inner course here a fortnight ago. Is patently in excellent shape and can make amends if Pierre-Yves Verva keeps him focused
  96. MALOU DU BOIS – Encouraged at Bordeaux in December but never dangerous when 6th in a Cabourg Class E early this month and is not about to shake things up
Summary: A quality element that showed his form after being eliminated here late last month, MAGNUS TOR (3) goes barefoot again, with Francois Lagadeuc reining this time, and with application can open his Vincennes account. MONTANA MONNERIE (7) has dependability on his side though, and takes to the main track with a realistic chance of contesting the finish. MUST DREAM (9) is as tricky as they come, but has shown considerable promise, and will be no easy touch if he gets off on the right foot. MAXIMILIANO DE LOU (2) has not been seen out since late-December but he is competitively-shod for the first time and eminently capable of finishing in the mix.

  1. LUCERO – Beaten out of sight in 13th over 3200m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 3 handicap on the 4th of February 2026. Will be a shock winner
  2. WILLY WINNER – Not seen to best effect in 11th over 2500m at Deauville in a Class 2 divided handicap on the 22nd of December 2025. Better than latest and can feature
  3. CENTRICAL – Finished 11th over 2150m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 2 divided handicap on the 4th of February 2026. Down in class and should go close

  5. BOOGIE – Moderate run in 6th over 2150m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 2 on the 14th of January 2026. Each way credentials
  6. EL CANEY – Finished in 6th spot over 3200m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 3 handicap on the 4th of February 2026. Remains with scope to improve and can go well
  7. MOURAT – Average performance in 8th over 2000m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 3 divided handicap on the 24th of January 2026. More needed on post maiden form
  8. KIND OF STAR – Finished 8th over 3200m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 3 handicap on the 15th of January 2026. Others inspire more confidence
  9. ZARAKVA – Dam remained a maiden after a handful of starts and this daughter of Zarak is likely to need the experience first up. Hard to fancy
Summary: CENTRICAL (3) is best forgiven for an underwhelming latest effort and is better judged on prior form. He drops in class and will be far more effective here. He will be in the firing line. EL CANEY (6) is a fit horse heading into this event having already had three prior runs this year and could have more to offer as he drops in trip. This could the right division for him. ACOTANGO (4) finished behind El Caney last time out but has shown in the past so should be able to bounce back to some better form. WILLY WINNER (2) is a lot better than his recent effort and will be in the shake up on overall form.

  13. GRASWANG – Solid run in 3rd over 2150m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a maiden on the 17th of January 2026. Should be in the firing line
  14. ST LUNAIRE – No type of run in 8th over 1500m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a maiden on the 2nd of February 2026. Will be a shock winner
  15. ARMANO – Fair effort in 5th spot over 2000m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a maiden on the 15th of January 2026. More to come and should go very well
  16. SUNDARA – Pleasing performance in 4th position over 2000m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a maiden on the 15th of January 2026. Open to further improvement and should feature
  17. MARYCHA – Held in 7th spot over 2150m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a maiden on the 17th of January 2026. Others make more appeal
Summary: ARMANO (6) would have learnt plenty from that introduction and should take a significant step forward to play a leading role. He hails from a top yard and rates the one to beat. GRASWANG (4) gets valuable weight off the back and looks ready to notch up that maiden win after a string of placings. SUNDARA (7) ran with plenty of credit on debut and will have tightened up a lot with that experience under the belt. HERCULE STAR (2) has been threatening to get it right and has the right form to get the job done with a bit of luck in running.
