Summary: SUNLY (6) finished a strong third last time out in the Prix Vermeille (Gr.1). She will definitely be the one to beat. She is drawn favourably and her quality should shine through here. WAARDAH (3) is coming off a win in the Park Hill Fillies Stakes (Gr.2) and should carry that into this race. She steps up in class here but should show why she’s a two time Group 2 winner. CONSENT (5) had a positive run in third last time out and does make a case for the top three here. She is a winner over this course and distance so should be one to watch. SANTORINI STAR (7) was well beaten in second last time but she still warrants interest for the minor places.

Summary: SCANDINAVIA (1) has not lost in his last eight races, the latest in the Irish St Leger (Gr.1) and looks to be a serious proposition in the race. He has had one race over the distance and was victorious, he has a big chance of repeating. CABALLO DE MAR (7) comes into this race full of confidence after winning well last time out in the Doncaster Cup (Gr.2). He was a winner over this course and distance last year but did battle over the distance more recently. If staying on stride he should contest the finish. QUEENSTOWN (2) was not disgraced when finishing second last time out in a highly competitive race. He will have his work cut out for him if he wants to win but he should have a better chance for the places. DOUBLE MAJOR (9) has had numerous runs into the money this year but has struggled to find that extra bit to see him into the winners enclosure so far. Do not see that changing here, he should produce a strong run into the minor places.

Summary: QUDDWAH (1) is coming off a good win in the Solonaway Stakes (Gr.2)at Leopardstown over this distance. He has major claims in the race and should get on well. He is the one to watch in the race. ISAAC NEWTON (7) ran fourth in the same race as QUDDWAH (1) and so the winners box will be a far reach for him this time around but he should still gather interest for place bets and the runner-up spot could have his name on it. FALLEN ANGEL (8) was not disgraced when third last time out. She will have work to do if she wishes to go better against the boys here. A definite place consideration. ELASTIC (10) steps up in class here and will find it difficult to compete for the top spot but he should not be left out of place bets.

Summary: CLAVUS (1) comes into the race on the back of four straight visits to the winners box. He will be looking to make this five wins in a row and should go close. ELIMAN (9) just missed out last time and will be eager to go one better here. His penultimate was a success and he could find just enough to get him across the line first here. HALF HALF (2) has consistent form and is no stranger to earning a cheque. He will need to overcome his draw to compete well in the race. MELUSINE DU HOULEY (10) is the only filly in the race but she has produced positive results against the boys and should do that once again. She is a winner over this course and distance and so should not be overlooked.

Summary: Partnered by Paul Ploquin and racing with plates on his front feet and barefoot behind, as when winning at Caen on June 15, LE DIABLE BLANC (5) looks a formidable contender. His main danger could be LOVIOU JOSSELYN (12), who must bounce back to form, LORENZO DE GOHEL (8) can also be considered a possible winner.

- KOTKITA GIRL – Has not been seen out since finishing 5th in a Class F over course and distance on 18 February. Is plainly in conditioning-mode and best to keep one’s powder dry
- KELLISIA GIRL – Ran 7th in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Alencon over 2,650m on 6 September. Gave a good account last time here but recent form does little to inspire confidence

- KEMILLA DE BRION – Returns to Laval after winning a Rambouillet Class G in good order a fortnight ago. Excels here and can repeat

- KAPELLA DAIRPET – Finished 8th in a Class D at Enghien over 2,875m on 16 April. Has not been seen out since and with shoes fitted is unlikely to spring any surprises
- KETAMINE D’UZE – Never far from faulting but has ample ability. Is close to the limit of earnings, with Eric Raffin in the bike, and looks a serious proposition
Summary: Back at Laval, a track she likes, KEMILLA DE BRION (6) looks capable of following up after winning on turf in weaker company. KETAMINE D’UZE (15) sports modified shoeing, enjoys an ideal entry, and is another solid option. KALIAKIE PHEDO (10), in race-mode, and KELOMA DREAM (5) can fight it out for the third step on the podium

- JASPE DU DOLLAR – Disqualified in an Amiens Class E 2 weeks ago, but returns to the venue of his last victory and the engagement of Mathieu Mottier will do his chances no harm
- JUNIOR ANGELE – Has blotted his copy book just the once this summer, most recently coming third in an Amiens Class E a fortnight ago, and is unlikely to be far from the action
- IN LOVE D’ECAJEUL – Second in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,100m on 20 September. Has not put a foot wrong for 3 months and is unlikely to begin now. Chance
- IMPACT PLAYER – Third in a Class E at Reims over 2,500m on 13 September. Tends to show more a level down though and is not a concern

- JAVA DES CAILLONS – Finished 9th in a Class D at Cabourg over 2,750m on 28 August, failing to confirm her Vichy performance, and others easier to back
- JURILOVCA – Made it 4 wins in 5 starts when successful in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Amiens over 2,400m on 19 September. Simply excels at Laval and should take all the beating
- JUST A COUET – Successful in a monte Class E Apprentices’ race at Vincennes over 2,700m on 4 September. Is not as performant under harness but is still good enough to challenge for a spot in first five
- JULIANA DE RETZ – Ran encouraging 4th in an Ecommoy Class E 3 weeks ago, but has otherwise looked very ordinary, and a repeat seems unlikely
Summary: JURILOVCA (11) has recorded three wins and a second place from four starts at Laval. At the top of her game and barefoot, she looks a solid choice. IN LOVE D’ECAJEUL (7) has also been highly consistent and, shod to preference, looks dangerous, as does JUGEMENT D’AVE (3), who is reunited with Eric Raffin. Racing with four pads for the first time, the in-form JOKER D’OLAINE (9) is very easy to recommend.

- LYS GEMA – Third in a Class E at Chatelaillon over 2,500m on 27 July, a fortnight after running 2nd on turf. Has not been seen out since, but will be barefoot and cannot be discounted
- LEADER BOURBON – Was unable to confirm Pornichet victory when 4th in a 2100m Vincennes Class E 3 weeks ago but in current condition could well get his head in front
- L’AMIRAL DE LUNE – Victorious in a Class E at Tours over 2,800m on 6 September, making it 5 on the trot. Is in superior company here and will struggle to make his mark
- LIVE YOUR DREAMS – Returns to racing left-handed after running 6th in a Cabourg Class D on 14 August. Has never shown much liking for Laval but the new formula may be just the ticket
- LATINO WIND – Comfortably won a Class C at Toulouse over 2,950m on 18 September. Has won 3 of his last 5 starts and looks a serious player on Laval bow
- LUXOR D’AUVILLIER – Endured a tough trip, finishing 9th in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,100m on 15 September. Is considerably better than that and Matthieu Abrivard will be eager to prove the point
- LOTUS MADRIK – Successful in a Class E at Les Sables D’Olonne over 2,775m on 12 September, complementing his Enghien success of a month earlier. In this company, is unlikely to secure the three-timer, but should nevertheless acquit himself competitively

- LE POETE BOURBON – Surprise winner of a Class D at Le Mont-Saint-Michel in June, but has made no impact since and can be ruled out
- LOOK PEJI – Runner-up in a Class D at Lisieux over 2,725m on 17 August. Has won under these conditions already this season, comes here fresh, and can wrap this up
Summary: With Mathieu Mottier in the sulky, LOOK PEJI (16) has won twice and finished second from as many starts. He looks a solid choice for this superb engagement. LATINO WIND (8) is only turned out when conditions are right. LEADER BOURBON (5) and LUXOR D’AUVILLIER (9) are competitive at this level, at least for a place. LIVE YOUR DREAMS (7) sports a new configuration and gets a thumbs-up from his trainer.

C4 – PRIX HORSERAIL FRANCE / CLOTURES CONCEPT – 2850m (a2m) – – Harness – EUR € 21,000 - MILZANO DU BOSSU – Has done nothing noteworthy since placing in a Graignes Class F last March and has no possible chance
- MANOUCHE – Finished 10th in a Class E under these conditions on 10 September. Has been re-shod for his first objective of the autumn but others still easier to back
- MILLESIME GRIFF – Starts for the first time since being disqualified in a Class E at Enghien over 2,875m on 6 March. Sports a fresh configuration, but is still not a priority
- MAESTRO DE RETZ – Finished 5th in a Class E over course and distance on 28 August. Has the wherewithal to get a look in here but would be preferred competitively-shod
- MATRIX DE LA BAIE – Fifth in a Class E at Bernay over 2,800m on 13 September. Is plainly in fine shape but would have better prospects if barefoot
- MAGIC LOMIG – Has been most disappointing since returning to competition in June and can be confidently written off
- MAZEPPA – Failed to make it four in a row when second in a Class E at Chateaubriant over 3,000m on 13 September. Should appreciate Laval conditions and Eric Raffin will be eager to return to the winners’ enclosure
- MERCATO DES FORGES – Never far from faulting, as he showed at Pornichet a fortnight ago, but has buckets of ability and will be dangerous if Mathieu Mottier keeps him focused
- MILTON DU CHATELET – Finished 2nd in a Class E at Nantes over 3,000m on 25 September. Is unlikely to make the frame this time, but is worth retaining all the same
- MY MILLION ATOUT – Finished 5th in a Class E at Pornichet over 2,725m on 19 September. Matthieu Abrivard in the bike this time and a repeat is easy to envisage
- MAJOR DU BELVER – Superb in 3 straight, including over course and distance, before being disqualified early in a Pornichet Class E two weeks ago. Is reunited with Benjamin Rochard who has won 2 for 2 with him and represents a leading chance
- MILANO BOCNEUF – Won a Class E at Alencon on 6 September but was unable to repeat when 6th in a Class E at La Capelle a fortnight later. Is significantly better than that though and Alan Gendrot will be keen to prove the point
- MIDNIGHT SUN – Has not been seen out since running 7th in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,850m on 27 January. Is shod for the occasion and best to hold off
Summary: MAZEPPA (7) suffered a first defeat on his fourth start. He retains Eric Raffin’s confidence though and can return to winning ways. He will nevertheless need to watch out for MAJOR DU BELVER (11), who ran second here before blundering at Pornichet. At this level, MERCATO DES FORGES (8) and the nicely-engaged and reconfigured MILANO BOCNEUF (12) have the means to make the podium.

- MARVELA DU DUDY – Got off the mark for the season when victorious in a Pornichet Class F on 24 August. Finds herself in better company this time, but can still make her presence felt
- MARIYA HAUFOR – Has not been seen out since finishing unplaced in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,700m on 1 February. Has ample ability but is going to need the run
- MELROSE DES VAUX – Finished 3rd in a Class E over course and distance on 10 September. Is plainly close to her race and can bring the fight to MY LADY BLUE (11)
- MAGIE DES MOLLES – Encouraging 5th in a Class E at Châtelaillon-La Rochelle 2 months ago. Comes here fresh and it is only a question of time before she gets back in the game
- MOON IN THE SKY – Put three disqualifications behind her to run 5th in a Pornichet Class E on 27 August, however a repeat seems unlikely
- MARBELLA SMART – Surprise winner at Les Sables-d’Olonne in early-August but has twice failed to confirm and can be passed over
- MAJESTIC LADY – Won a Class E at Royan-La Palmyre over 2,475m on 30 August, making it 3 in a row. Faces a tougher test this time but is undefeated with Matthieu Abrivard and warrants considerable respect

- MASINA DU PERCHE – Already twice a winner this summer but has disappointed in last two and needs to get her act together
- MY LADY BLUE – Placed in last 2, most recently 2nd in a 2900m Amiens Class E 2 weeks ago, and has a realistic chance of opening her autumn account
- MA ROSE DE SARTHE – Made up somewhat for Saint-Malo disqualification when 3rd in a Pornichet Class E in late-August. Appears to be close to her best and can go close
- MELLYNGA – Has done nothing of note since placing in an Argentan Class E in May and has nothing to offer
- MELODISYVA – Failed to confirm Cabourg performance when trounced at Vire early last month and others easier to support
- MAEVA DE CRESCY – Surprise 3rd at Rochefort-sur-Loire on 16 August but was unable to repeat 3 weeks ago at Chateauroux and will have few friends
- MY CHARMING – Finished 8th in a Class E at Nantes over 3,000m on 14 May. Stays shod for comeback and can be passed over
Summary: MY LADY BLUE (11) and MELROSE DES VAUX (4) have been knocking at the door and both look thoroughly capable of winning this. Oddly out of sorts at Vire, MONA PAGE (9) will be reunited with Alexis Collette and can make the frame, as can MA ROSE DE SARTHE (12), who has been reconfigured for the occasion. MAJESTIC LADY (8) completed the hat-trick on turf and even though stepping up in category, must be taken seriously.

- NEWDEAL SAUTREUIL – Lost his maiden tag at Les Sables-d’Olonne in late-August prior to being disqualified in a Reims Class D 3 weeks ago. Has plenty of talent though and will be no soft touch if he keeps his action together
- NIKY DU LOGIS – Finished 3rd in a Class F at La Ferte-Vidame over 2,750m on 23 August. Matthieu Abrivard gets the nod this time and a place in the frame is well within his charge’s capability
- NILTON DU CHOQUEL – Won a Class G at Le Touquet over 2,100m on 20 September, a fortnight after placing at Evreux. Takes to a hard surface for the first time, but with Benjamin Rochard reining will have his chances
- NOOKER – Got off the mark in a Class H at Abbeville over 2,300m on 6 September. Is competitively-shod for the first time and has a realistic chance of confirming
- NEW D’URZY – Ran pleasant 4th in a Cholet Class F 2 weeks ago. Has been freshly re-shod but is not an obvious choice
- NAPOLEON DIGEO – Fifth in a Class E at Lisieux over 2,725m on 29 August. Has demonstrated decent aptitude but at this level will struggle to make his mark

- NOUVEAU DU CEBE – Victorious in a Class F at Nort Sur Erdre over 2,400m on 6 September. Is unlikely to repeat but is plainly on the way up and should give a good account of himself
- NEWTON D’IPEJY – Lost his maiden status at Redon in early-September but was unable to confirm a fortnight later and can be passed over
Summary: Racing with four pads for the first time, NOOKER (8) looks capable of reversing the form with the tricky NEWDEAL SAUTREUIL (5) who finished ahead of him at Les Sables-d’Olonne at the end of August. Prepared for this on turf, NILTON DU CHOQUEL (7), NIKY DU LOGIS (6), and well-engaged recent winner, NOUVEAU DU CEBE (15), also look competitive for the places.

- MARECHAL DU LEVANT – Unplaced in a harness Class F at Nort Sur Erdre over 2,400m on 6 September and debuts in the code with little ambition
- MILTON ELLIS – 6th in a Class F at Sable-sur-Sarthe on 30 August, however in this company will have few takers
- MAGIE DES GLENAN – Has looked ordinary for some time, most recently last of 13 in a harness Class E over course and distance nine days ago, and can be passed over
- MANIFESTO – Produced a pair of good runs before being disqualified in a Class E at Ecommoy 3 weeks ago. Is barefoot this time but is not a concern
- MAMAROSE – Finished 6th in a Class E at Mauquenchy over 2,850m on 10 September. Tends to show more at a lower level and is unlikely to cause an upset
- MAESTRIA DU PLAIN – Finished 9th in a harness Class E at Nantes over 3,000m on 25 September. Returns to her code of preference with a pair of conditioners under her belt and with Alexis Collette in the irons will be afforded every chance
- MIRAGE BOY – Produced something of a surprise when successful in a Sablé-sur-Sarthe Class F in late-August, however at this level, will have nothing to contribute
- MODJO CHEF – Sprang quite the surprise at Ecommoy 3 weeks ago when victorious in a 2750m Class E. Has never failed to deliver in this branch of the business but chances appear limited this time around
- MYSTIC DE BLARY – Debuts in the discipline after running 9th in a Vincennes harness Class E early last month. Has shown some ability in the other code but cannot be considered a priority
- MISS DE BAILLE – Has been disqualified in 4 consecutive starts, the latest a Class F at Caen over 2,450m on 27 May. Is not short of ability though and on good behaviour can make this her own

- MOJITO PLANCHETTE – Finished 4th in a Class D at Enghien over 2,875m on 26 September. Should take well to Laval conditions but may just be taking on too much
- MERARU QUANDO – Finished 6th in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 14 August. Has yet to deliver here but is not devoid of ability and can pick up minor honours
- MONTANA MONNERIE – Fourth in a Class E at Pornichet over 2,725m on 19 September. Benefits from a good entry, Benjamin Rochard knows him well, and looks a decent place chance
- MAITRE PAJELO – Quality element making first start since running 4th in a Vincennes Class D in April. Is barefoot for the occasion though and can challenge for a place in the picture
Summary: It is often a case of all-or-nothing with the tricky but talented MISS DE BAILLE (12) who sports a new configuration for the occasion. MAESTRIA DU PLAIN (8) has nothing left to prove under the saddle and, even though shod, is still a contender. Making her debut in the discipline, MONTANA MONNERIE (16) is preferred to MAITRE PAJELO (17), whose only drawback is that he is making his re-entry, and MADISON MATIDY (13), who faces her first objective of the season.

- INES D’IDEF – Fifth in a Class H Amateurs’ race at Les Andelys over 2,550m on 29 August. Goes barefoot this time but seems to be taking on too much
- IDEO HUNAUDIERES – Ran 7th in a Class H Apprentices’ race at Blain over 3,200m on 21 September. Is considerably better at this level though and from the front line can give this a good go
- JUS DE COCO – Unplaced in a Class H Apprentices’ race at Blain over 3,200m on 21 September. Tends to show more on turf and is unlikely to spice things up
- KLEM – Switches to the amateur division after some below-par performances on turf. Sports a new configuration and warrants respect
- KANELLE LA RAVELLE – Makes first appearance in the amateur category after prepping under the saddle at Savenay and can make a big splash if she stays focused
- INZAGHY – Fifth in a Class H Amateurs’ race at Agon-Coutainville over 3,450m on 30 August. Takes on a tougher lot this time and the extra 25m to travel will do him no favours
- KAPTAIN FAFA – Should not be too hastily-judged for losing his action in an amateurs Cholet Class G a fortnight ago. Benefits from a superb entry on the front row and, if applied, can finally get back in the winners’ enclosure
- INDIGO SIMARDIERE – Showed marginal improvement when 6th in an amateurs Class F at Argentan 10 days ago but still needs to find more
- KOWEIT DE CHENU – Unplaced in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Pornichet over 2,725m on 19 September. Is better than that though and dropping back in category may just be the ticket to his redemption
- HASARD BLOND – Has been a complete write-off so far this year, most recently disqualified in a Class E at Ecommoy 3 weeks ago, and has no possible chance
- HILKA DE BERTRANGE – Has failed to make much of an impact in either amateur or professional ranks recently, lastly sixth in a Class H on turf 12 days ago, and can be ruled out
- JOYCE MIKA – Unplaced in a Class F at Savenay over 3,100m on 27 September. Tends to show more in the claiming category and looks a minor place chance at best
- GUTENBERG DE DYPP – Finished 8th in a Class G Amateurs’ race at Bernay over 2,800m on 13 September. Appears to be some way off his best form and will first need to reassure
- JALNA DU GERS – Serious mare that thrives in the amateur division. Excels with her driver, enjoys a terrific entry, and can add another win to her tally
- JOYCE DREAM – Reliability not her strong suit and was eliminated at Tours early last month, but ran 3rd at this level at Meslay in July and, considering the engagement, cannot be discounted
Summary: With her amateur, JALNA DU GERS (15) has recorded two wins, a second, and a fourth place from four starts. Reconfigured for the occasion, she looks a solid choice. Things are much more open behind her, with the four six-year-olds KAPTAIN FAFA (8), KANELLE LA RAVELLE (6), KOWEIT DE CHENU (10), shod this time, and a reconfigured KLEM (5), in that order.
SELECTIONS – JALNA DU GERS (15) – KAPTAIN FAFA (8) – KANELLE LA RAVELLE (6) – KOWEIT DE CHENU (10)
