NAMOUR DU BEARN (8) looks to be a serious contender for the top spot. She looks to be comfortable under jockey A. Bourgeais and being well positioned at the weights, she will be a challenger. NINA PIETRA (7) was moderate in her last outing with a finish in 6th but that should not discourage as she is capable of producing better. If putting in a good shift she can earn a cheque here. 65. MEARAS STYLE – Came home 4th in a Class 4 Handicap at Argentan over 1,900m on 1 October when last racing. Others more likely

  68. GOLDEN STATE – Unplaced in a Class 4 Handicap at Toulouse over 2,000m on 16 September and seems to be out of sorts. Pass over

  73. VALZAK – Unplaced last time on August 29, 3rd before that at Cantabria (ESP) over 2000m in a conditions race on August 2. Place contender
  74. GWENN HA DU – Successful in a Class 4 Handicap at Toulouse over 2,000m on 16 September last time out. Ought to be in the shake-up
  75. THE MAGIC MAN – Second in a Class 4 Handicap at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat over 2,400m on 12 September when last seen. Not to be taken lightly
Summary: JORDAN BAKER (2) has been running consistently with three recent placed efforts. He is given the vote ahead of SEABISCUIT DU RHEU (9), who has also shown he is in good form and was a decent third at Vichy last month in a Class 4 handicap when last seen. THE MAGIC MAN (14) is at the foot of the handicap and looks like a good option for the each-way backers to take seriously. ARYVESAN (10) bounced back to form when third last time at Toulouse and is another to keep onside.

  79. KAMAKURA ONE – Finished 9th in a Class 4 Handicap at Senonnes-Pouance over 2,100m on 19 September. She can give a better performance
  80. HAUTE GAMME – Came home 9th in a Class 3 Handicap at Chantilly over 1,600m on 14 September when last racing. Outside place contender
  81. VIOLIN – Unplaced in a Class 4 Handicap at La Teste De Buch over 2,000m on 5 August and two tame efforts previously. Hard to fancy

  87. DRIP – Unplaced in a Class 3 Handicap at Chantilly over 1,900m on 29 September. Seems out of form at the moment
  88. MALICIA – Second in a Class 4 Handicap at Toulouse over 2,000m on 16 September. Back to form last time and warrants respect
  89. RAYLA – Third in a Class 4 at Cazaubon-Barbotan over 1,900m on 28 September. Faces a stiff task and can be overlooked
Summary: CHARM KING (8) was a pleasing second at La Teste on his latest start and is given the nod ahead of KAMAKURA ONE (4) who is better than her last two runs and was a decent second in mid-August at Deauville in a Class 3 handicap three runs back. AMITY (3) is an honest filly and obliged at La Teste on her latest start late last month and is hard to rule out of the frame. BURNING HEART (1) is also one to consider despite having to concede weight to his rivals.

C1 – PRIX DE LA SEINE-MARITIME – 2150m (a1m1/4) – – Harness – EUR € 38,000

  1. OURAGANE JENILOU – Won a Class F, on debut, at Laval over 2,050m on 24 September. Showed good tenacity that day, will have improved for the race, and represents a decent place chance
  2. ON THE BEACH – Third in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,200m on 18 September, confirming her solid Rambouillet debut, and it is just a matter of time before she gets off the mark
  3. OLGA DES MALBERAUX – Finished 5th in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,200m on 18 September, after having imposed on turf 2 months earlier. Should take well to the Enghien profile but is still not an obvious choice
  4. OLYMPE DE BELINE – Third in a Class C over course and distance on 28 September. Is nicely-placed behind the car and can challenge for a spot in the frame
  5. OCEANIE DE TILLARD – Finished 4th in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,200m on 18 September. Always gives an honest account and, although not a priority, can nevertheless get in on the action
  6. OBJECTION AR – Finished 4th in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,175m on 26 August. Takes on a slightly less-exalted bunch this time and with Anthony Barrier reining this time should be able to finish closer. Chance
  7. OPTIMISTIC TWO – Lost her maiden status, despite trouble in running, in a Class E at Chateaubriant over 2,400m on 13 September. Should take well to Enghien conditions and can double her money
  8. ONALISA – Finished 6th in a Class C at Vincennes over 2,200m on 18 September. Has yet to show much flair for the game and is not about to shake things up
  9. ONE TWELVE – Unplaced on debut in a Class F at Laval over 2,050m on 24 September and will need to show marked improvement
  10. OPEN WINNER – Disqualified in a Class G at Evreux over 2,100m on 27 September, first time out. Gilles D’Haenens in the bike this time but others still preferred
  11. OZANA PRIMA – Fourth in a Class C under these conditions on 28 September. Was not the luckiest that day and Benoit Robin will be keen to set the record straight
Summary: OPTIMISTIC TWO (7) won on just her second start and still has a lot more to give. OBJECTION AR (6) has run well on two occasions, including over 2250m here, and should again play an active role in the finish. Third in the Vincennes race of reference on 18 September, ON THE BEACH (2) has a good chance of finishing in the picture once more, as does OURAGANE JENILOU (1), who showed plenty of tenacity to impose at Laval last month, first time out.

  12. MA BIMBO – Disqualified in 3 of last 4 starts, the latest a Class E at Vincennes over 2,700m on 31 August. Has references under these conditions but others easier to trust
  13. MALAVITA ROSA – Disqualified in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 3 October, but has otherwise been giving a fine account of herself. Has never delivered going left-handed but in current condition should not be overlooked
  14. MAJESTIK D’AMOUR – Unplaced in a Class E under these conditions on 28 September. Has bags of ability but current form does little to inspire confidence
  15. MALOUINES QUESNOT – Victorious in a Class E at Nantes over 3,000m on 25 September. Is seldom far from losing her action, but still merits respect
  16. MAGIE D’ORLY – Ran 7th in a Class D at Cabourg over 2,050m on 21 August. Is better than that though but still represents no more than a minor place prospect
  17. MAYA DE MAHEY – Finished 5th in a Class E over course and distance on 28 September, 3 weeks after having got off the mark at Vire. Is not about to impose again, but can still pick up some prizemoney
  18. MY LADY DE CAHOT – Disqualified in a Class E over course and distance on 28 September, after having won at Mauquenchy the previous month, but others still preferred
  19. MADEMOISELLE JOLIE – Third, on re-entry, in a Class E at Pornichet over 2,725m on 19 September. Should have no issue with the Enghien profile and will be no soft touch
  20. MARIE CHARLOTTE – Ran 6th on comeback in a Class E over course and distance on 28 September. Will have progressed for the race, has nothing to prove in this category, and looks the closest threat to MOONLIGHT DANCE (11)
  21. MAISY DU DONJON – Ran 6th in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,700m on 18 September. Is better than the result would suggest and returns to Enghien with a realistic chance of finishing in the money
  22. MOONLIGHT DANCE – Made it two in a row when comfortably winning a Class E at Pornichet over 2,725m on 27 August. Seldom puts a foot wrong and Eric Raffin will be confidently expecting to secure the hat-trick
  23. MERVEILLEUSE – Has twice failed to confirm Mauquenchy victory, most recently unplaced in a Class B at Reims over 2,550m on 13 September, and can be passed over
Summary: With three wins and a second place from four starts racing barefoot, MOONLIGHT DANCE (11) will once again be hard to beat. Following a very respectable comeback, MARIE CHARLOTTE (9) will also be barefoot this time and looks dangerous, as does MADEMOISELLE JOLIE (8), third on her own comeback. Unlucky at Vincennes three weeks ago, MAISY DU DONJON (10) should be given another chance.

  25. LOVELY DES BROUETS – Disqualified in a Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 21 September. Has form at the venue and looks thoroughly capable of making her mark
  26. LADY DE NEUILLY – Finished 3rd in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Cabourg over 2,050m on 16 September, after having won two on the trot. Is patently in competition-mode this time and looks the pick of the field
  27. LADY MAURE – Finished 5th in a Class F at Blain over 3,200m on 20 September, however a repeat seems most unlikely
  28. L’ETOILE DE ROCHE – Third in a Class F at Les Andelys over 2,525m on 13 September. Is not the most reliable of mares and, unplaced on her sole start at the venue, is unlikely to upset the status quo
  29. LIZENN D’ERQUY – Disqualified in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,700m on 8 September, 10 days after having imposed at Lisieux, and on good behaviour can play a small role
  30. LEA GIBUS – Finished 11th in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,850m on 25 September, after having been disqualified at Cabourg, and will first need to reassure
  31. LADY ANGELE – Last of 15 in a Class E at Laval over 2,050m on 24 September. Is not without merit but appears to need another outing
  32. LIPINSKA – Finished 10th in a Class E at La Capelle over 2,700m on 21 September, her first start since the spell. Is barefoot this time but others still preferred
  33. LADY STARLIGHT – Has not been seen out since being disqualified in a Class E at Rambouillet over 2,800m on 12 April. Has never disappointed here, and sports a new formula, but is going to need the race
  34. LAURENE DE BAILLY – Finished 9th in a Class E at Laval over 2,050m on 24 September. Has done nothing of note for some time and is not about to start now
  35. LOGANE DU VIVIER – Commanding winner of a Class E Apprentices’ race at Cabourg over 2,050m on 16 September. Has not left-handed references but has buckets of class, and the Eric Raffin-factor can play a decisive role
  36. LA MISS ROYALE – Ran 7th in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,700m on 8 September. Is clearly better than that though, is confirmed at the venue, and can make the frame this time
  37. LOLITA DE MIELOUI – Finished 8th in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,850m on 25 September, 3 weeks after winning a Lyon-Parilly Class F, but in this category will struggle to make her presence felt
  38. LUTECE D’OUVILLE – Finished 6th in a Class E at Vincennes over 2,850m on 25 September. Benefits from a terrific entry and David Armellini will be justifiably eager to make hay
Summary: Third, when shod, at Cabourg three weeks ago, LADY DE NEUILLY (3) goes barefoot this time and can return to successful ways. LOGANE DU VIVIER (12) beat her that day but may be forced to play second fiddle. LA MISS ROYALE (13) raced better at Vincennes than the result would suggest and will be expected to finish closer. The capricious LOVELY DES BROUETS (2) has a pair of runs under her belt since the layoff and, with application, can make a big impact.

  40. DUMA NEH D’ASTI – Pleased at Beaumont-de-Lomagne last month on first appearance in the code, but failed to make any impact under harness at San Siro recently and can be passed over
  41. JOUR DES RACQUES – Finished 5th in a Class F at Le Croise-Laroche over 2,825m on 28 September, on just his second start in the code, but cannot be considered a priority
  42. NAIL’EM – Returns to France and the monte code after being disqualified under harness at Mons a week ago. Placed in just one of 3 monte starts, and that was at Solvalla. No threat
  43. JOLI DE CONNEE – Returns to the code after 3 unexceptional harness efforts and is not about to cause an upset
  44. JACKPOTINA – Finished 4th, on monte debut, in a Class E at Le Croise-Laroche over 2,825m on 30 September. Will have come on for the race and with his trainer in the saddle is unlikely to be far off the mark
  45. EVER SO MUCH – Disqualified in a harness Class E at Chateaubriant over 3,000m on 13 September. Debuts in the discipline, with Alexis Collette in the saddle, and looks competitive for a place in the picture
  46. LUCA BAROSSO – Superior winner of a Class E at Vire over 2,800m on 6 September. Is never the easiest of horses to gauge but has won 2 of 4 with Mathieu Mottier in the irons and can repeat
  47. JOKER DES ISLES – Finished 8th in a Class F at Chateauroux over 2,900m on 27 September, after having placed there a fortnight earlier, but has nothing to offer here
  48. JEDEO DES VAUX – Finished 5th in a Class E at Angers over 3,125m on 9 September. Seldom gets his head in front but always gives his best and can pick up minor honours
  49. JUDGE DREDD SISU – Finished 2nd to LUCA BAROSSO (8) in a Class E at Vire over 2,800m on 6 September. Has ground to make up but still represents the main threat
  50. JACAR DE LA DIVES – Unplaced in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Moulins La Marche over 2,800m on 13 September. Is not the easiest of horses to handle but appreciates Enghien conditions and can give this a good go
  51. DEVIL OP – Finished 4th in a Class D at La Capelle over 2,750m on 2 September. Has a lot going for him here and will be expected to apply the pressure on LUCA BAROSSO (8)
Summary: Clear winner at Vire last month, LUCA BAROSSO (8) has been kept fresh for this and, barefoot for the occasion, has every chance of confirming. DEVIL OP (13) has been admirably consistent under the saddle and Vitale Ciotola could hardly have asked for a better engagement. He will lead the opposition along with JUDGE DREDD SISU (11), who teams up with Eric Raffin for the first time, and a freshly re-shod EVER SO MUCH (7) who will be one to watch on his monte bow.

  52. KARA DE PIERREPONT – Second in a Class F Amateurs’ race at Vincennes over 2,100m on 8 September, 17 days after having won under the same conditions. Sights are set higher this time, for good reason, and is unlikely to let the side down. Place chance
  53. KRONA VIKING – Runner-up in a Class E at Laval over 2,850m on 10 September. Is clearly close to her race, appreciates Enghien, and looks main threat to KISS ME DE MADKER (3)
  54. KISS ME DE MADKER – Has not been seen out since finishing 5th in a Class D over 2,875m here on 9 July but is plainly in competition-mode and with Eric Raffin back in the bike, will have her chances
  55. KATINA DE TOUSSAC – Disqualified in a Class G Amateurs’ race at Rambouillet over 2,800m on 20 September. Has otherwise been in cracking form though and will be expected to contend a place on the podium
  56. KRACOTTE VERGNIER – Finished 8th in a Class E at Landivisiau over 3,200m on 6 September and is unlikely to rock the boat
  57. KHARA DRY – Surprise third in a Class F at Le Touquet over 2,600m on 20 September and in this category is unlikely to repeat
  58. KATINKA COTON – Disqualified in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Argentan over 2,875m on 23 September, a fortnight after having secured a Laval Class E, and with application can start to put things right
  59. KINJAL DE BELLANDE – Finished 7th in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Argentan over 2,875m on 23 September, 10 days after having placed at Villedieu-les-Poëles, but looks a minor place chance at best
  60. KIRA DE CAHOT – Victorious in a Class G Amateurs’ race at Vincennes over 2,850m on 29 September. At this level though, has little chance of repeating
  61. KRYSTA DE KERYANN – Third in a Class E at Laval over 2,850m on 10 September. Has been hard to fault over recent months and, while not a priority, can still play a small role
  62. KISS ME TO LIVE – Finished 3rd, on comeback, in a Class F at Pornichet over 2,725m on 19 September. Has made just the one mistake this year, will have progressed for the race, and is not to be underestimated
  63. KIRENE FLASH – Fifth in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Mauquenchy over 2,150m on 10 September, after twice placing right-handed, but may just be taking on too much this time
  64. KALANSKA – Finished 4th in a Class D at Meslay-du-Maine over 2,875m on 15 August. Races shod this time, however, and can be passed over
Summary: This represents a comeback for KISS ME DE MADKER (3) but she goes well at Enghien and the champion driver has been booked. In this open field, she will have our preference. KRONA VIKING (2) has been re-shod following a pair of good runs in the provinces and looks a better bet than KARA DE PIERREPONT (1), who likes a short trip, and KATINA DE TOUSSAC (4), who thrives at Enghien.

  67. KRONOS CAMP – Finished 6th in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Pornichet over 2,725m on 19 September. Has yet to deliver at this level and is not about to begin now
  68. KAFIA DE CERISY – Finished 11th in a Class F at Chateauroux over 2,900m on 27 September. Has evident ability but recent runs have done nothing to inspire confidence
  69. KONG DODVILLE – Finished 11th in a Class E Apprentices’ race at Chalons-En-Champagne over 2,625m on 20 September, 3 weeks after having won at Agon, and Léo Guénet will be keen to put things right
  70. KILLER DE BEAULIEU – Finished 8th in a Class G Amateurs’ race at Rambouillet over 2,800m on 20 September. Is not the most generous of horses and chances appear limited
  71. KALINA DE LAURIERE – Was unable to confirm Châlons-en-Champagne performance when trounced in an Amiens amateurs Class G last Saturday, and backs up with moderate ambition
  72. KETTINA DU CYGNE – Unplaced in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Le Croise-Laroche over 2,700m on 28 September. Has otherwise been in fine condition and, given the chance, can make amends
  73. KATANE DU CORTA – Lost her action in a Châlons-en-Champagne Class F 2.5 weeks ago but has otherwise been in excellent shape. Ran well only to lose 2nd place in July, last time at this level, and warrants respect
  74. KILLY D’IRATY – Ran 7th in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Le Croise-Laroche over 2,700m on 28 September, having run second in a similar even 2 weeks earlier, but is still not an obvious choice
  75. KASHKAI – Finished 10th in a Class F Amateurs’ race at Argentan over 2,875m on 23 September. Ran 3rd under these conditions in June and on this occasion looks the horse to beat
  76. KISS ME POLE – Third in a Class F Apprentices’ race at Chateauroux over 2,900m on 13 September. Is unlikely to get his nose in front but has the wherewithal to challenge for a place in the frame
  77. KADOR JOSSELYN – Unplaced in a Class E at Le Croise-Laroche over 2,825m on 28 September. Is confirmed in the claiming category and is not incapable of playing a small part
  78. KARMA QUICK – Takes a considerable drop in category after running 7th in a Vincennes Class C early last month. Has won 3 of 4 here and will be no soft touch
Summary: KASHKAI (11) will race barefoot this time, unlike on his latest start, and looks good enough to impose. KARMA QUICK (14) is comfortably the richest horse in the field and, simply superb at Enghien, should prove the main danger. Still rather lightly raced aged six, KONG DODVILLE (5) enjoys a good opportunity to make up for his recent blip. KISS ME POLE (12) is clearly back on track and can again make the frame.

  80. NARKOS DU CHATAULT – Starts for the first time since being disqualified in a Class C at Vichy over 2,150m on 11 May. Is useful when focused and the engagement of Franck Nivard will do his chances no disservice
  81. NAVIDA PURA VIDA – Finished last but one in a Claimer at Vincennes over 2,100m on 29 September and can be confidently disregarded
  82. NOBLE AVENUE – Disqualified in a Claimer at Vincennes over 2,100m on 29 September. Ran 3rd over shorter here last month and with Alexandre Abrivard in the bike can make a big splash
  83. NOUCHKA ROYALE – Unplaced in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,700m on 29 September. Has yet to get into her stride this term but it is just a question of time. First five
  84. NOSTALGIE DAIRPET – Third in a Claimer at Vire over 2,800m on 20 September, confirming her run at Les Sables-d’Olonne, but in this company will need to find more
  85. NUGGET RIVER – Ran 6th in a monte Class C at Vincennes over 2,700m on 1 September. Presents solid claiming references and with Damien Bonne reining will be afforded every chance
  86. NITRO DEUGE – Unplaced in a Claimer at Vincennes over 2,100m on 29 September, 11 days after running surprise 3rd in a Cavaillon Class C, and is unlikely to spice things up
  87. NUMBER ONE MADRIK – Fourth in a monte Class D at Vincennes over 2,700m on 15 September. Is arguably better in the other discipline but is still worth keeping an eye on
  88. NOUMEA DES BROUETS – Finished unlucky 5th in a Claimer at Vincennes over 2,100m on 29 September. Has references at a superior level and, with form maintained, can bring the fight to NINO TOSCA (12)
  89. NOUMBA AS – Finished 6th in a Claimer at Vincennes over 2,100m on 29 September. Has done nothing noteworthy since May and is not a concern
  90. NINO TOSCA – Runner-up in a Claimer at Vincennes over 2,100m on 29 September. Has taken little time getting back to his best and can get his nose in front
Summary: NINO TOSCA (12) has been knocking at the door for several weeks and deserves to see his consistency rewarded. Unlucky in the Vincennes race of reference on 29 September, NOUMEA DES BROUETS (10) has a very good theoretical chance. NOBLE AVENUE (4), capable of good things when she applies herself, and a reconfigured NUGGET RIVER (7), whose recent run under saddle will have done him good, come next.

  91. NINGALA – Nicely-related filly sporting pads for career bow. Trainer in the saddle for the occasion and is not incapable of getting straight off the mark
  92. NAWBA GLAINOISE – Ran 6th, on debut, in a Class E at Laval over 2,850m on 4 September. Will have improved for the race, but not enough to make much of an impact here
  93. NAELE DU POMMEREUX – Has been disqualified in 3 consecutive starts, the latest a Class F at Alencon over 2,650m on 6 September, and can expect to have few friends
  94. NUANCE D’ORGUEIL – Disqualified in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 19 September, having run 3rd there earlier in the month, but is still not an obvious choice
  95. NAYA DE MYE – Flattering 4th in a Class D at Vincennes over 2,200m on 29 September, her first appearance in the code. Will have come on for the race but is not a concern
  96. NIKITA GENEVRIS – Showed improvement when 3rd in a Class F at Graignes over 2,700m on 2 October, but in this company will have her work cut out
  97. NINOUSKA – Finished 4th in a Class F at Laval over 2,850m on 24 September. Takes on a better lot here but is unlikely to be far off the mark if Guillaume Lenain keeps her mind on the game
  98. NOSTALGIA QUICK – Unplaced in a Class F at Laval over 2,850m on 24 September. Has placed just once in 10 starts and is unlikely to influence the outcome
  99. NEMEKITEPAS FORGAN – Put away after coming 2nd in a Caen Class F in June. Finished 5th on comeback in a Class F at Laval over 2,850m on 24 September and should not be overlooked
  100. NOTRE CASHMAKER – Unplaced in a harness Class E at Chartres over 2,800m on 11 September. Has already shown promise and will be no easy touch if Florian Desmigneux gets her into the game
  101. NINAMYS – Ran 6th in a harness Class E at Marseille-Borely over 2,300m on 22 September. Has shown ample ability under harness and with Alexandre Abrivard in the irons will be no pushover on monte debut
  102. NOUVELLE D’ATOUT – Disqualified in a Class E at Cabourg over 2,750m on 19 September. Has taken well to the discipline and while unlikely to win this, should nevertheless give a competitive account
  103. NACRE GLAM – Disqualified in a harness Class E at Blain over 2,600m on 20 September. Has shown decent ability, at a lower level, under harness but is never easy to trust
  104. NACARIE PRINCESSE – Ran 6th in a harness Class E at Argentan over 2,150m on 16 August and is not about to spring any surprises on monte debut
  105. NANOU DES LANDIERS – Has not been seen out since finishing unplaced in a Class E at Enghien over 2,150m on 11 July. Sports a fresh configuration for re-entry but is likely to be race-rusty
  106. NAOMIE DU VIVIER – Fifth in a harness Claimer at Cabourg over 2,750m on 11 August, 9 days after having opened her account on turf. Eric Raffin in the saddle and is easy to fancy for the win
Summary: Newly-arrived in Jean-Philippe Monclin’s yard, NAOMIE DU VIVIER (16) can make a big impact on her debut under the saddle. Another newcomer to the discipline, NINAMYS (11) makes the long trip with a realistic chance of imposing. From the maternal line of champion Arlington Dream, NINGALA (1) sports pads for her racecourse debut and is worth following with interest, as is NOTRE CASHMAKER (10), who returns to racing shod for her monte bow.
